Christmas Holidays lights were awesome. The pathway around to see the lights and the whoville grinch display was spectacular. Lots of photos props opportunity. The s'mores fire pits was lots of fun. Purchased from the concession stand. It's the evening and a lot of the animals weren't out. But it was nice seeing the display. Wish we could have done cookies with Santa but the extra tickets were sold out. Everything was outside so bundle up extra warm for the strolls. Some area were dark and muddy but that didn't stop the kids from having fun. Definitely worth to check out during the season.

    Rows and rows of tulips!

Beautiful property! Went during the tulip festival. There is something for everyone here. For my general admission ticket, I walked through two gorgeous tulip fields and strolled past baby goats, sheep and llamas. Kids would love it! A big slide, piggy rides on a track and a tractor pulling open plastic barrels for young and older to ride all await! Multiple options for food are on site. There is even a display all about bees! Buy tickets online and go early, by midday it was very busy. Worth the drive to Eagleville!

Overall had a very nice time! The lines were out of control even with prepaying. The line was far too long to get our tulips wrapped so we skipped that. Service overall seems very slow and inefficient major improvements needed. We skipped getting food because after 15 minutes the line did not move. We did get slushies on the way out in the gift shop and people after me got there drinks because they lost or didn't have a system and skipped my drink and I had to ask for it and was told I should already have it, and I had to say not yet. Teenagers mainly working not set up for success. The farm has so much to do and is really well up kept, very clean for a farm to a of activities for kids.

Amazing farm and fun at Lucky Ladd! Our 1 year old loved the farm animals, bird exhibit, slides and endless games. We will definitely be back to explore everything again and this was such an impressive park!

I dream about the frozen apple cider and the apple cider donut

Even as a grown couple without children, we had a wonderful time. I dream about the frozen apple cider and the apple cider donut. It gets pretty crowded on an October Saturday, but that's too be expected. Next time I'll try to go earlier in the season, and I would recommend going on a weekday if possible!

It's held annually in October and is such a lovely drive up to Lynchburg! Gary N did a great job of accurately capturing the "feel" of the event in his numerous photos posted here! There are a lot of vendors set up for this event selling eats, t-shirts, and more. There's a large, covered pavilion where the judging happens, and spectators can watch from bleachers. I don't recall the number of judges but I do recall at least one local "celebrity" newscaster among the judges. The Styrofoam containers for judging are deftly prepared and rushed to the judging area with immense intensity - it really is something to watch, and the "food runner" will scream at you to "get out of the way" if they need to! Others referenced free samples, which wasn't the case on our visit, except for the international area. No guests/visitors get samples of the competition BBQ to my knowledge. If you want lunch, you'll need to get something from the vendors. However, the international area competitors did offer us ample samples of their BBQ. They were all very friendly, too! The competition area is fairly spread out, so wear comfortable shoes and the entryway is sloped, so there's that. It's free as far as I know, and everyone should attend at least one championship BBQ competition - the Jack Daniels event is a well-run, fun one to attend.

Coming from Chattanooga area we chose to take the scenic drive down the old highway from Monteagle through Sewanee. As you arrive into town you can start seeing the smoke and smelling the BBQ. This is a very small town but everyone seems to be selling parking. $5-$10 mostly. We parked very close to downtown. The square is fully covered with tents and vendors as you walk in, live country music is playing. All the downtown shops are open and plenty to explore and see in the town. However, food is in our mind and we continue down to the food tents and competition area. Lots of free samples, but I did not see any from the competitors which was a disappointment. But still plenty to see and try. They also have food instructions, vendor demos, Etc I do wish they would move this so it is not the same weekend as Tennessee vs Alabama. We left early to catch the game as I am sure many do. At the least put a big screen up for the crowd. Lynchburg is a great small town and one you should visit. Jack Daniels is a short walk and free tour. Great day.

They were raising money for travel expenses to send kids and chaperones to places for charity work. This festival seems to get bigger every year. There were many more arts and crafts booths than the last time I attended. These included pottery, paintings, art, accessories, clothing, and much more. Plenty of fun things for kids. There were inflatable obstacle courses, a climbing wall, and an inflatable slide for kids of all ages. There was also a carnival with rides for everyone. Gourmet food trucks and food stands were present to satisfy your hunger. You could find gyros, asian cuisine, mexican cuisine, and american favorites such as hot dogs, kettle corn and glazed nuts. The best booth at the festival was of course the "Yelp" booth. They had a spinning wheel that you could spin for cool prizes.

Local residents showed up in droves and genuinely valued -- and purchased -- handmade work. I made five to $7000 twenty years ago. Unfortunately, the show has changed significantly. It now draws large crowds, many of whom appear to be bused in from outside the area. While attendance is high, sales are not. The loyal local audience seems to have been pushed out by the increased congestion, and many no longer attend. Equally disappointing is the noticeable decline in handmade goods. Walking the show this year, I spoke with several talented artists who shared that they struggled to cover even their basic expenses and do not plan to return. It's a real shame that the show has declined like it has. It used to be a beautiful show and Franklin is a nice town.

We arrived about an hour before the gates open and I sure am glad we did. We drove right in and parked about 2 rows from the gate. It was a bit of a crowd by the time the gates opened, so it took a few minutes to get inside. Food lines got a little long at times, but they seemed to move well. Drink lines always moved quickly. Worth noting, since this is now run by the county parks department, there is NO alcohol sold here. Not a deal breaker but definitely different from most faires. I'd advise anyone to attend if you enjoy these types of events.

We did hear about people waiting over an hour to park the day before, but that was around 2pm. Tip: Get here early! The food was great and we basically ate our way through the festival. The highlights were the turkey legs (obvi), the chicken skewers, jester chips, scotch egg, hand pie, and the Shepard's pie. The dessert pastries were amazing! I talked to the owner or the pastry stand, he told they make everything on site! He travels with a literal portable bakery in 28ft storage truck and builds a full on kitchen with ovens, mixers, and a sink at every Ren Fair. That's dedication! The shops were ok, a lot of repeat items and they were pricey! We weren't in the market for a leather mask or sword, so no purchases were made. The jousting tournament was pretty cool and my son love the kid zone. Sadly, no alcohol was being served per Williamson County rules, but hopefully that will change next year!
