It was a mishandled return with a rusty, used, and completely different knife set inside. We went to exchange it 17 days after purchase, which is well within Target's 90-day return policy. The San Pedro store denied the return because of a price discrepancy...a discrepancy that was their mistake when they placed the returned item they never zeroed out back on the floor in the wrong price slot. We were sold a tampered product for the wrong price, then blamed for trying to return it. Instead of fixing it immediately, like any company would do, we were passed between Guest Relations, Asset Protection, and store staff who all seemed confused and inconsistent. One employee told us to wait at Starbucks for a manager. Another insisted the decision was final. No one seemed to know what the actual policy was or how to handle it. We were made to feel like we were pulling some elaborate scam over a $99 exchange caused entirely by their own error. After more than an hour of waiting and escalating through multiple departments, including Twitter and BBB, a manager named Kenneth finally processed the return. He was calm and professional, the only person who seemed to have a grasp on the situation. That said, he appeared to be wearing glasses equipped with a small embedded camera. Some kind of discreet recording device, from the looks of it. There was no explanation, no disclosure, and the whole thing felt quietly unsettling. Even when someone finally did the right thing, there was still something off about how it all played out. Target didn't just mishandle a return. They failed at every level of customer care. If they pull out all the stops to make returning a $99 knife block this difficult, would you trust them with any major purchase? Probably not. Unlike other major retailers who handle simple returns with no questions asked, Target's response was a corporate shrug followed by "we'll pass it along," as if that counts for resolution.

The dress was unworn, with tags, security tag, with receipt and within timeline to receive refund. An older Asian Manager was called by the cashier to review the return. I launched my Tjmaxx account by phone to display the barcode for ease of locating the transaction on their system. She scanned the barcode and located the purchase history. I exited the website and closed my phone. The WiFi is very slow in this location. Then she demanded that I show her a picture of the item from my order history on my phone. NEVER HAS ANY OTHER TJMAXX STORE DEMANDED this for an online return. When the WIFI speed wouldn't relaunch the website she demanded that I tell her the purchase date and method of purchase. I told her that information was available from the scanned barcode. She disputed that which I know is a blatant lie. I have her the information. Then impatiently she said, I will just refund you, and doing me a favor. I have never experienced this disrespectful interaction at any TJMAXX store, and it is disgraceful to have employees who clearly have bias. Also, another female older cashier who appeared to be of middle eastern descent, saw me next in line and intentionally walked away from her register to organize hangers until I was called by the adjacent cashier. But my recent experience has been extremely disappointing. On April 5, 2026, I placed a small order for pots, pans, and silverware, with a scheduled delivery date of April 7. That date came and went, and I received no delivery. When I called customer service, I was told their best suggestion was a 15% discount on anything over $25--hardly an acceptable resolution for missing a scheduled delivery for a small order. This type of service is shocking from a company of Walmart's size and resources. Their treatment of customers has become unacceptable. Having worked at Walmart during the holiday season, I understand the high turnover, but that doesn't excuse poor service or negligence. Walmart needs to improve its customer service and delivery standards. It's disappointing to see such a huge corporation ignoring the importance of customer satisfaction. This experience has left a very bad taste, and I won't be doing business with them again unless significant improvements are made.

This is a large location. It is well stocked and the isles are easy to navigate. The one thing I will say about this location is that it is very popular. Meaning, it can and often does get very crowded. This is not necessarily bad, but it is just something to keep in mind as you may spend more time waiting in line than you may expect. This Ross is attached to a very large parking lot, so parking is never a problem. The parking spaces nearest to the entrance are a bit smaller than those in the more removed reaches of the parking lot. Plus, the outer spots are much easier to get in and out of. This is just something to think about which may make your overall shopping experience more enjoyable. Overall, this is a Ross. You know what to expect and that is exactly what you will get.
