If I could give negative stars , I would. The head pharmacist illegally refused to fill my…read moreprescription. I don't know her name but her eyes are cocked like a pistol. I had a prescription sent in to this cvs from a telemed clinic on a Thursday , it said it was processing Friday morning and my fiance went in to see if she could pick it up. Well the head pharmacist said they needed to contact the providing doctor to verify some things before she could release my prescription. I told the providing doctor that's what was said. Over the weekend , the cvs app said my prescription was ready for pick up. So I went in today (Monday morning at 9am) and as another pharmacist was checking me out with my prescription IN THE BAG and me ready to swipe my card , the head pharmacist came over , took my prescription out of the bag and without looking at my drivers license , asked "are you picking up for someone?" I said "no , I'm the person that's prescribed the medicine" and she see's my work shirt says "Matt" , and said "your shirt says Matt but this is for Bryan" and I told her "yeah it's a work shirt , my shirts haven't came in yet. I just showed this lady my drivers license to verify". She then proceeds to say "it shows you live in Indiana" and I said "no , I live here , you can check my drivers license". (STILL DIDNT CHECK IT). The head pharmacist then says , "well I need to call the provider for further clarification". She called and told me no one answered and said "your fiance came in on Friday and gave me your phone number" and read my phone number to me to verify. I said "yes that's my number" and she goes "ok well I'll call you whenever they contact me back". Little did I know , I had an email from my clinic saying they contacted the pharmacy FRIDAY last week and everything was good to go. FAST FORWARD to 5:30pm. My fiance goes back there because my prescription still says ready for pick up and the head pharmacist said that she "called the telemed clinic and spoke to a nurse but they seemed unprofessional because its telemed and disagrees with telemed patients" WHICH IS A LIE BECAUSE THAT CLINIC DOES NOT ACCEPT CALLS. Then the lady proceeds to tell my fiance that she "just didn't feel comfortable filling my prescription because there's no record of me having a prescription for that medicine and CANCELED MY PRESCRIPTION ORDER." Which is because IM A FIRST TIME PATIENT WITH THAT MEDICINE. So of course I wouldn't have a record of being prescribed that medicine. Dumba** mf. ALSO MY FIANCE HAD JUST BEEN THERE THURSDAY LAST WEEK AND PICKED UP HER PRESCRIPTION AND SHE GOT HERS FROM A TELEMED CLINIC AS WELL and when my fiance asked "then why was I able to pick up my prescription when my clinic is telemed as well" , the head pharmacist B***H had no response. So in conclusion , that lady illegally and subjectively refused to fill my prescription because she wasn't uncomfortable filling it from a telemed clinic for a first time patient. If you need to pick up a prescription and you're a first time patient for that prescription , I'd HIGHLY suggest you have it sent elsewhere. Otherwise you will get the run around and illegally refused.

I'm not sure why I love Carolina hot dogs like I do, but I do. And I'm on a never ending quest for…read moregreat Carolina-style hot dogs--not all hot dogs here in the Old North State are Carolina dogs. Discussing my passion for great dogs, my aunt mentioned a grill in the back of a convenience store in Butner. I set out around lunch time one Monday to see if her recommendation would make the cut. Her food has always been fabulous, but some time in the 80s, she married a man who preferred canned biscuits to her perfectly made biscuits of love. But I'm digressing again, as I'm apt to do. Anyway, I had to ask her a couple of times to be sure I'd know I was in the right place. The convenience store has gas pumps and apparently a car wash. In fact, the only signage I could find was "Tom's Car Wash" along the side of the building. There is a restaurant attached, but that's not the grill I'm reviewing. Once inside, it's a typical convenience store, circa 1975-80. It's not an old country store, and it's not a bright and shiny Family Fare. It's local and friendly. Lots of folks seemed to know each other, and to be honest, I probably knew at least five or so folks they know, but I decided to be in cognito. The grill is in the back. It's mostly to go, but there are two tables. If you want sweet tea, you can purchase it at the grill, but if you want a Coke or anything else, you have to purchase that at the convenience store check-out and buy your food independently. The grill serves several sandwich-type items and a main dish or two a day. I was there for the hot dogs, though the idea of home-made chicken and dumplings was rather tempting. Their hot dogs are regularly the best priced I've seen in the Triangle in a LONG time. Less than 1.50 per hot dog, including mustard, slaw, chili, and onions. But I hit it just right. On Mondays, hot dogs are just 99 cents! I can't say these were the best hot dogs in the world but they are pretty darn good, and the price just can't be beat. The location is a bit out of the way, but if you find yourself in Butner with a hankering for a darn good Carolina dog, you know where to go.
