We got the 1/2 chicken and four boneless tenders with two sides each, which was a generous amount. This was my first time trying their chicken wings (typically I get a platter), and these were great! We got "wing roulette", meaning that we weren't sure what spice levels/flavors we were going to get. This was fun and it was a good mix! Wings were uniquely shaped, like both the drumstick shape and the wing shape together. Each wing was juicy, had that nice chargrilled flavor, and of course packed a punch with sauce flavors. Got extra sauce on the side to drizzle over. We also got a salad, slaw, and an extra chicken breast (medium). All were good but wings were the best part of this order.

At the time, I was quite unimpressed. COLD SANDWICHES FOR LUNCH? *Yawn* But then after going there a few times, I have realized that they have hot foods too - like toasties, hot wraps, and most importantly SOUP! Not to mention sushi, salad, desserts, hot drinks, etc. What's kinda cool is that all the Prets serve the exact same fresh food everyday. You're not going to get different things from different Prets. If one location is serving cream of mushroom, potatoes and leek, and tomato basil soup, you can bet all of them will have the exact same thing. Every day the soup menu changes and all the sandwiches are made fresh daily. They also try new sandwiches too - the latest and the most awesome discovery is their Thai Prawn Baguette that tastes like a good thai green curry in a bun. So. Delicious. Their miso soup is good and cheap too. Walk out of the place for 6 pounds and you'd be more than full. The other day, I mentioned to my bf "You know what, Pret is growing on me" and he replied, "you know what, i feel the same way too!" Solid :)

There is a lot of tables and chairs outside the building in the station which makes it fun sitting there, eating your burger and watching people come in the station. There is a cash machine on the other side of the station so brace yourself. Burger King can be quite busy at times but the queues luckily move fast. The apples were kind of watery. I didn't complain but went to sit outside. I was in a car accident recently, so I propped my feet up on a chair across from me. Then, a manager came out to tell me that they don't allow shoes on chairs. So I was respectful and took my feet down. I could see if there were a lot of customers sitting outside, but I was the only one. Additionally, the tables and chairs outside were filthy. So it seemed odd to me that she was very concerned about cleanliness. I also was in the restroom which was filthy. I usually like my experience at Pret. This was definitely not what I've come to expect.

I patronized a London Chipotle once and vowed to never return. Today I discovered Tortilla and finally satisfied my craving for inexpensive Mexican food! They essentially offer the same options as Chipotle, with minor differences: - Spanish rice (in addition to cilantro/lime rice) - Diced onions - Shredded AND chopped lettuce (oh boy!) Anyways, though the food isn't anything to write home about, I gave Tortilla 4 stars because of the price point. The medium burritos and burrito bowls are only £4.95. It's much cheaper than it's competitor Chipotle, and affordable on my student budget. Also this location offers tons of seating on the main level and upstairs, or you can go outside and enjoy the views of Bankside.
