One of the things I miss most about living in Vancouver is living next to Whole Foods. I know, I…read moreknow, we have Whole Foods in London too - but seriously, the salad bar here has nothing on the ones back in North America. But enough about Whole Foods, I'm writing a review for Chop'd! I love salad bars...Why? Well I'll be honest with you, I'm lazy and hate buying and chopping everything up to make my own salads at home to bring to work - also I always forget to bring dressing and putting it on in the when you're making it makes it soggy by the time you're eating it. Thank god for Chop'd and it being 5 minutes from work. Long lines but they go quick - the staff are great. Prices are decent (under £6), portions are HUGE, bonus - skip getting a carry bag and get an extra veg for your salad!

I love this place! I've been here a few times and every time and loved it everytime! You can pick…read morethe Base (2 leave and about four different geains) and all the toppings. The house topping are lots of veg and an egg and you can pick three, or four if you take bag you can have four! Fab idea!!! Then you pick you protein, chicken, salmon, falafel.... And many many more. You can pick as many garnishes as you wish herbs and nuts and croutons and tortilla chips. There are about ten dressings to pick from the yogurt and mint is yum and so is the balsamic. They then mix it all up for you! Fabtastic! And for only £7. You can always pick a premade salad and then have small snack pots to pick from too. I have never tried any of these but they all look great! So go try and get mixing!

I am here (along with Ken F. and Kathryn S.) to burst Natura's five-star bubble. Really cannot…read moreunderstand why it's being reviewed so well. My partner and I ate dinner there on Wednesday night and we were not impressed. To start, they seated us at a two-top directly next to another couple when the rest of the place was empty except for a lone customer completely on the other side of the room. When we moved ourselves to a table facing the window (a four-top), we were told we could not sit there because it was "booked." As I said, the place was almost empty. During our entire meal only a few more people came in and we certainly could have sat where we desired without preventing people from being seated. Then, we were treated to the surly manners and weak customer service skills of the waiter. I did not catch his name. When I asked if one of their nightly specials was made with any butter or cheese and explained that I'm lactose intolerant, he gave me the stink eye and barely understood. Another server had to come over and asked me to repeat myself and then kindly asked the kitchen staff, who confirmed I was safe to order. The same waiter was unfriendly throughout, and had to be asked for the bill three times. I went ahead and got the special, a supposedly home-made tagliatelle with salmon, courgette, and cherry tomato. My partner got the calzone rustica. Thankfully my dinner did not contain any lactose. But it was bland, and the pasta did not taste the way I'm used to fresh-made pasta tasting. I needed to add salt and pepper to the dish, and it still lacked much flavor. On the bright side, I was able to take half home and make another meal out of it the next day, spicing it up with some garlic, herbs, and a fried egg. My partner's calzone had a nice, yeasty bread and was huge, but the ingredients were low quality-tasting. Cheap ham like Sainsbury's basics and not enough tomato sauce. Overall the food and service were not worth £12.95 (mine) and £9.95 (my partner's). The raw wooden benches aren't comfortable, and the music didn't help. We won't be back.

I live nowhere near this place, which is sad for me and a really good thing for my waistline! We…read morecame here for dinner hungry and initially disappointed as our evening plans had fallen through - we had been counting on dinner as a feature of those plans, and decided that element of the evening could at least be fulfilled. We'd walked by this place on our way to our date-confused appointment thinking it looked interesting. And rarely have I been more ok to have steak-related plans fall through on me! Such a lovely little place - it feels really local and friendly, the staff were so so nice, and the pizza was fantastic! Huge as well - I was tempted to take the hour's walk home just to work some of it off, but my own fault, it was too good to leave any pizza behind. The house white complimented the meal perfectly and felt like a real steal at the price. I may not often have a reason to be in the neighbourhood, but I could definitely be convinced to make the trip again!

The staff though is nice and even when we left, a man rolling the dough for the flatbread gave us a sincere thank you for coming. The decor is also very cool, with walls painted a warm mustard brown colour and tchotchkes everywhere. The menu in the restaurant is slightly different from the online menu, which is a bit annoying as a vegetarian bc I was really eager to go here based on what I saw online. We ordered the panir-o-sabzi to start and whilst a big plate, the description didn't match the meal. I expected feta cheese blended with tarragon, mint and walnut, almost as a spread, with walnuts. Rather it's a big salad with radish slices and 2 halves of a pretty tasteless cheese, and walnuts. Piping hot bread is served with it. Next I ordered the mirza gasemi which was the best-tasting dish of the night: a soupy mix of aubergine, whet and tomatoes, it was perfect with the bread. My main, the ashak, was a big dish but a big downer: very bland despite the heaps of sauces. My husband got the grilled chicken with a specialty rice of orange peel, almond slivers pistachio and grated carrot and salad: again a huge plate. The orange peel was the most distinctive, delicious taste, basically caramelized. My husband loved the spicy green sauce that accompanied his meal.
