Heads up, labels are in Dutch. For English speakers/readers, that means there are some labels you may not be able to read. But there are little indicators in the ice cream display itself (ex. a strawberry in the tray of aardbeien/strawberry ice cream), so no worries even if you initially can only see the overhead menu. They also have a coffee menu, but that's put up separately from the overhead ice cream menu. Not as visible, it's by the coffee machine off to the right part of the counter.
Luciano is an ice cream shop with a dozen locations, this particular one being particularly notable in that's on the corner facing the back of Stadhuis Delft (Delft City Hall), therefore, just off of Delft Market Square, and conveniently on the way to see Delft's nearby photogenic leaning Oude Kerk (Old Church). It's a pretty cute place, and interesting to see how people re-use these older, historic buildings surrounding the square. Another thing to note, they have a single, narrow entrance, so the line tends to go out the door when they're busier. It looks super crowded, but they move pretty fast. Overall space available for people is pretty narrow, and they only half a handful of counter seating.
Overall, I really like the ice cream and yogurts here. Flavors were rich and faithful to what they were supposed to be (ex. fruit ice creams tasted like the actual fruit). I've never had pear ice cream yogurt before now, but it was really good. The textures were just spot on to me. I would recommend as a place to pick up a snack or a drink and continue exploring, especially on a warmer day. XD read more
