Eric has hands of magic! Each time I went for a haircut I left feeling major diva. Not only is his work amazing his personality and salon are so welcoming and not at all did I feel out of place. read more

BEWARE of this place: Man (assume the owner) answered and asked what I wanted which was lowlights and a trim. Then I said I was just looking for some idea of their pricing when--all of a sudden his tone totally changed and he promptly told me they were not taking new customers. B.S. I sold advertising to guys like him (and major corporations, too) for years, and when I found one like him that won't give pricing and cuts you off that he can't take you, it's because he wants you to ignore pricing so he can suck you dry moneywise. He's looking for people who will pay whatever he decides and not say anything but "thank you, Hair God." I'm sure he overcharges plenty of people who are unsuspicious of his tactics....but that just isn't me. If you go to Lucent just be aware of how much your pocket might be picked for a hair style you could get somewhere else that actually cares about you more than how much they can con you out of your money. You've been warned. read more

OH.MY.GOD.BECKY. Do yourself a favor and see Eric. Let him do whatever he wants to do. You'll be happy. I promise you'll be happy. I came to see Eric today. He was so incredibly amazing. He took the time to talk to me and figure out what I wanted and how he could help me. He definitely knows what he's doing. After a few minutes of talking to him, I just couldn't help but trust him. I knew he would make me look good. And he did. He's amazing. I am seriously never going anywhere else. Seriously, don't even think about going anywhere else. Just see him. You're welcome. read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Brittany and Eric!! I can't tell you how many times I have asked Brittany last minute to squeeze me in and she does! She is so Knowledgeable about hair color and always tells me what will look good and I always leave feeling fabulous! She is super fast and efficient!! Getting your hair done with Brittany and Eric is a fun time and you know that you are in good hands. Eric is such a sweetheart and I do not want anyone else to cut my hair. I have a side-part and people always mess it up and cut it unevenly. Eric is awesome! I also have bangs that frequently are messed up too, but I have never had a problem with that either from Eric. ****If you want a great color & cut- you HAVE to come here!!!!! read more

Eric is absolutely fantastic. The best. A master of hair. Et cetera. My first impressions were that he was fun to talk to and gave a wonderful scalp massage! But most importantly, he listened closely to all of my hair desires, took his time, and delivered the perfect cut! It is always nerve-wracking to find a good hair stylist after moving to a new city, but I am so happy that I found an AMAZING one in Eric at Lucent Studios!!! P.S. You get 20% off on your first visit, in case you had any reservations about booking your appointment! (I paid $40 for the cut and style.) read more

After having a really unprofessional experience at another salon, I spent a ton of time looking for a new place. I finally found Lucent and the reviews for Eric was exactly what I was looking for. Let first start off by saying how refreshing it is to have someone cut your hair who truly knows your hair and what will work and what wont. I honestly didn't have to say much he just knew what to do. I am horrible at explaining things so this is exactly what I needed. He completely took my cut and fade to a new level. He was professional, funny, and most of all very courteous and he knows his stuff. This dude is 110% the real deal. He lives up to every expectation and more set forth from his reviews. Amazing job bro!!! Thanks so much!!!! read more

Eric is absolutely phenomenal! I've been going to him for awhile now and he always does a great job. He really listens and offers suggestions. I took baby steps with coloring my hair and today I finally did a fill on color. It turned out better than I could have ever expected it to. Thank you Eric for always listening to what I want and executing it perfectly. You are truly the best!! read more

Lucent Studios - I saw Eric because the reviews on Yelp raving about him. It's always scary trying out a new stylist but everyone was SO RIGHT!!! - Blow Dry/Out Services Near Me - Peoria, Arizona

I have been going to Eric for my hair cuts for the last 1.5 years, after receiving a recommendation from a different salon for stylists that are good with short cuts for women. He is AMAZING! I've never gotten a bad or questionable cut/style. I started with a reference photo the first time and from there it's been effortless to get a beautiful cut from him. Like others have said he is great to talk to as well. Just an amazing stylist. Sadly, he is getting 4 stars because as much as I love him, I recently decided to change my color from redhead to platinum. I chose, because of the difficulty, and cost and time, to fly my old stylist to Phoenix from Seattle to do the color change for me. I'm not bragging about the ability to do so, but stressing how nervous I am with my hair. When I scheduled my next cut, and root touch up he went MIA and never responded to my request for an appt. While this is totally his right as a professional, it was a very unprofessional response. With all that said, I miss him handling my hair. I had moved from Seattle after having the same stylist for 8 years and now I have to find another. It's frustrating, again 4 stars for the breakup. But he is easily a 5 star stylist. read more

I'm writing this review because I recently moved to California and am missing J's styling terribly. First off, J's hair-cutting/styling skills are FLAWLESS. I left feeling gorgeous and not like I had just gotten a mom haircut from 1970 (which has happened more than I'm proud of at other salons). J's skills were especially highlighted when he cut my husband's hair a few times. My husband always left extremely satisfied and with an extra boost of confidence. Just yesterday we were talking about how Lucent Studios is one of the only reasons we miss Arizona. I would absolutely recommend J no matter what look you are going for. Plus, he's hilarious...but not in the typical bratty-hair-stylist-way. read more

Eric is truly gifted, everyone. After much research in finding a great hairstylist, I found Eric. I had asked him to give me layers and to make my hair moveable and that's exactly what he did, and I am so in love with the results! On top of his amazing skills, he is a very kind, and an intelligent person and he takes his time in providing the best results. Needless to say, I found my hairstylist and I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Brittany transformed my washed out, dried out, fine, thin hair into gorgeous, shiny, healthy looking hair. I give her a 10 and her blowout was fantastic (unlike many blowouts I've had). She got my sandy blonde color just right. You can tell that her training is much more advanced than 90% of hairdressers in Phoenix. I wish I had found her five years ago. On top of that, everyone who left the salon looked fantastic. Their color was gorgeous and nuanced. I will definitely be recommending her. read more

I just got my hair done by Brittany here. She is amazing! I got my hair colored with highlights and a cut. She is amazing! I highly recommend Lucent Studios and Brittany for your stylist. read more

I was fortunate enough to find Lucent Studio over a year ago. Eric is attentive and listens to his customers.. finally a hair stylist that listens! His techniques are state of the art and he is constantly updating his methods. This is the sign of a true evolving artist. My advice to anyone wanting to book Lucent is to be aware that you get to book a few weeks in advance as he is high in demand. It has been my experience that any salon that has same day openings isn't that much of a "hot" commodity on the market and certainly isn't stella - something to think about ;) . Thank you Eric for making me feel and look beautiful as always!! read more

J. has been my stylist for years. He knows me and my hair. Even if I stray to another stylist, I always end up at his doorstep. He's the best there is, for me. read more

I have been going to Eric for 8 years to get my hair done now! He is the absolute best and I will never trust anyone else with my hair. Most precision cut I have ever had! Eric is a Master of his trade! I walked In with a badly butchered haircut from another salon. Eric took the time to consult with me about what I wanted, gave me his thoughts on what would work best with my hair and face shape and then made it happen! It was no easy task trying to correct the damage done by the previous salon, but amazingly he accomplished it!! I have been searching for a competent stylist since I moved here three years ago. I am so happy I have finally found him. He is not only competent but an artist and a perfectionist. Did I forget to mention what a nice guy he is also??? read more

You can't get in. Left message on answering machine never got a call back. Then I call at 10am when they say they are open and Eric tells me they are not ope and he will call me back ok so I wait and wait until after 1pm and I call again. Eric asks how I heard about them and I tell him yelp and he proceeds to ask me what I need and I tell him a cut, style and possibly color tell him I want my hair cut and kinda a blond color and he pro reds to tell me that they can't get me in till the end of July! Say WHAT!? It's May 16th. Why didn't you just tell me that when I first called at 10am when you were supposed to be open but you told me you didn't open cuz you had no appointments I would have loved to have tried them out because of their reviews but I don't know anyone who would or could wait 2 1/2 months for a cut. Very disappointed to say the least read more

I started going to J when I was about 17 (30 now!) when he worked at Toni & Guy and will follow him anywhere! I have had a lot of complex short cuts through the years and J is ALL about precision... he will literally spend hours on your hair making sure everything is right. My biggest recommendation is if you have short hair you do not want to go to ANYONE else! Your hair will look AMAZING and the cuts last a really long time (which is great when you have short hair)! J is a true artist too, I cannot count how many times I have set in his chair and told him "go for it" and the haircut being amazing. He isn't afraid to takes things in a different direction if he doesn't think a certain style will work for you too (face shape etc.), which we all can appreciate that! I am trying out the "longer hair thing" and still go to J. I leave with shiny- healthy looking hair and the best thing he will style my hair any way I want or he wants! J is awesome, has a great personality, super fun and great at what he does! read more

I highly recommend Eric from Lucent Studios. I have curly hair and not many people really understand how to manage cutting or styling it. After talking with Eric I completely trusted him and I wasn't sorry. He is amazing both technically and personally. I look great read more

Eric is an amazing stylist! I found him on Yelp and so glad that I did. He has done my hair 3-4 times now. I came to him with damaged, brassy and uneven colored hair. I met with him for a consultation prior to him coloring and cutting my hair. Once he did my hair it was exactly what I wanted and I loved it! Since then he has completely transformed my hair to healthy and shiny. He is a very talented man. If you are looking for a great stylist, he is a must! read more

I never realized it was so difficult to find a stylist who really knows how to cut hair. After trying various salons over the course of the last three years, I was about to give up. That was until I found J at Lucent studios. This guy really knows how to cut hair. I got one of the most perfect haircuts I've had in years. Especially with short hair this is really critical. He knew exactly how to style my hair and cut it perfectly. When short hair grows out looking as good as when its first cut, that's a sign of a really GOOD haircut! When J cuts your hair you know it will be symmetrical, even and about as perfect as it can get. I couldn't be more pleased! Great job, J! read more

Eric is absolutely amazing. I was leery to try a hair stylist I found out Yelp, but all the reviews are one hundo percent accurate! Best balayage (spelling?) and long a-line bob of my life! I went from long boring hair with a bad balayage to fun amazing hair! See him. ASAP! read more

Brittany was fantastic! She really listened to what I wanted, but didn't just blindly follow the pictures I brought in either. She gave great advice, tailored to me and my hair and I ended up with one of the best hair cuts I've ever had. She's also very friendly and professional. read more
