This all little ice cream shop looks like any other gelato place from the outside and came at a time I was trying to squeeze a little in before getting my bags and heading to the train station. Upon entering you are greeted with the typical cabinet of flavours and I my two choices were Stracciatella and Smurf, yes Smurf. Now, when you order Smurf from this place the lights dim a little bit, music starts playing, the Smurf's appear on the TV, and bubbles start falling form the season and all of that is just plain magical. Did I immediately start laughing? Yeah I did, because I was confused and it brought me so much joy. Back to the actual gelato, and guess what, it was in fact good! The gelato was creamy, rich, and had great flavour. Overall, Jan Pieter Ijsje was a great little place to stop and grab some gelato.
