My observations: 1…read more The food we tried is not like any Chinese Food I have tried in several places in the US. The flavor is very different and I'm not a big fan. 2. The restaurant's decor feels dated. Glassware, plates, etc could be updatable to give a more modern feel. 3. The staff was courteous and attentive. 4. There is no fried rice with any of the dishes. I was very surprised since it's one of my favorite things with Chinese food!

There's fruit, ice cream, soups, hibachi, sushi, and the classic American Chinese food available. There's no loud music playing, however a lot of families and children tend to be present.

. I may dine here…read moreagain, but it is nothing so special as to warrant a "recommendation" from me. The service is peculiar; one is given a paper "ballot" and bowl w/ utensils. One must select a type of noodles or rice; the server then sends the diner to a "cafeteria" kind of selection to choose anything in terms of meats, veggies, condiments, etc. which fit into the bowl. Each order is cooked separately on an Oriental steel griddle; the cooking smells similar to a wok. One re-seats oneself, the waitstaff then take the concoction to table to be eaten. This is not bad, and results in a typical USA "Chinese" restaurant offering. Seems an overly-complicated, "cutesy" type of cooking procedure. Parking in large unshaded center lot. Restrooms were clean, staff nice. Amounts are more than adequate. Rick .

Didn't even have a chef flipping any steaks, no wonder the tip jar was empty.. Very disappointing. Not even the dessert section seemed appetizing everything was low!The slushie machines weren't working either. Overall terrible experience. The bathrooms? Pffft! Horrid!!! They should have at least one employee on bathroom duty especially since it is a buffet. Why would they put lids on the trash can in the br? They're all smeared with SHIT. Kids can't hold it so I really didn't have a choice but I absolutely do NOT use public bathrooms, for this same reason. Should've drove further for better food. Christmas Morning, 2024, around 12:45 PM, we were on our way back to Brownsville from Harlingen,…read morenot much was open as far as restaurants, so remembering on our way to Harlingen that day, we noticed that this place was open, so we thought, it Christmas Day, few establishments are open and we're hungry, so we pulled in and walked to the door, there were only a few people in front of us, but noticed the self service drink area was a mess and a turnoff, unorganized, only 1 ice dispenser was working, which took longer to get our teas, which should have only taken seconds, we make it the cashier, she only says "$48.76", very impolite & impersonal, not very welcoming. My first though was WOW! I though this was kind of pricey for a self service buffet, even if it is all you can eat. But, we were there and were hungry. I pulled out my debt card and she indicated, "its cash only today, the machine is not working". There were no signs on the door or at the cashier indicating as such. we didn't have enough cash to pay, I commented you should tell people at the door about this, she said nothing like sorry or anything, we left our teas at the cashier and walked out. My though is this, as a previous restaurant owner, these credit card readers rarely go down, if they do, the process is simple to reset them, they have 24 hour help lines to assist you, so that was total BS. I leave it up to you as to speculate why it was only cash on a day they were less than a handful of places to eat. NO Brainer! BAD EXPERIENCE. Never got to see or try the food so I can't comment on that, but I assure we will never try again... We ended up at Taco Palenque, we had good food, excellent service at more than half the price.
