If you're looking for an good Asian buffet in Brownsville this is the place to come to. The prices are a little high, drinks are not included, and at times this place gets very packed there is a wait line. The food is good, and because this place is busy there's always new food being put out. The service is good. For drinks you get the option of soda or tea. There's fruit, ice cream, soups, hibachi, sushi, and the classic American Chinese food available. There's no loud music playing, however a lot of families and children tend to be present. read more

Most of the food was barely warm. Won't eat there again. Pricey for a warm buffet. Would not recommend.

This place is disgusting and expensive. Every single item was cold. The noodles were dry. The sushi had absolutely no flavor. We paid $20 a plate and each had one plate cause we couldn't stomach the flavorless, cold food. The only thing positive was our server. She was sweet and attentive. Do not waste your money there. read more

The server was nice but much of the food in the buffet was cold. Way overpriced for food that could not enjoy.

This place used to be great many years ago. Now it's disgusting, people working there are miserable, and Matamoros folks fight for food as if it's running out. I remember this lady changing her 6 year old kid's diaper in the booth they were sitting in. read more

An overpriced dump . Beware of the bathroom !! Food tasted terrible, no matter what I tried. read more

It's great to go during the weekdays it's at a slower pace. Crazy expensive, it is 17$ without a drink and 20$ with a drink per person. What I liked the most is when you get your food cooked on the grill. It's nice and hot plus the unlimited dumplings. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. Both the food and the service were terrible. Do not recommend !!! read more

The restaurant is pretty big but it has seen better days. For what they offer, they are OVERPRICED! The selection is good and they have a Mongolian bar. The problem is that the food is just bland! If you are looking for quantity instead of quality, then this is you place. read more

Worst place no waitress you have to chase them around to get something and place is dirty and gross

The worst buffet in my life. Contributing is the unsupervised kids running around the buffet, The only thing that is fresh is the habachi cooking your meats. Dessert was stale, and the ice cream I had accidentally had a used napkin. It baffles me that they are still in operation. Service was great; the servers were attentive. However, I would never come back again. read more

Food was good and hot. Reasonable prices. Good service. Chicken terrakl is huge and delicious.

My daughter and myself went to this place today 9/5/2017 really hungry and the food looked amazing on the steam table fixed our plates and sat down and took a bite and what!!! ? the food was ICE COLD totally disappointed.Ask and received a refund. read more

In my opinion, the food was good and all but after we left I felt a bit sick and it might have because of the food, and to be honest I think I could have been better overall since it wasn't that good. Honestly I think the service is awesome and fast because when we went and we immediately got attention by the person at the desk and was pretty fast, no lines or anything, the tables were pretty full overall. It's just it could've been better since maybe the food was touched by many people or it could've been because of unsanitary culinary maybe? But everything and everyone was handled easily with no problem. read more

First I'd like to say this place is way over priced. 30$ for my son and I to eat here. Second if you like cold food then go eat here, nothing was close to warm, it was all cold. Third the drinks tasted like carbonation, I asked the waitress to get us new drinks, so she brings me a coke instead of Dr Pepper like originally had. She didn't even give me time to tell her. Over all this place sucks big time!! I will never go back. The only bing I enjoyed out of his was my Lyft ride to and from the restaurant. read more

Centrally located right off the hwy and Morrison. Asian Buffet is one of Brownsville's more popular buffets. They have an excellwnt mongolian grill and they'll even grill up some steaks on it! The buffets not the largest in town but the food is better maintained here. read more

Asian Buffet - Buffet morsel selections - Buffets Near Me - Brownsville, Texas

Was here in town for 1 night as I couldn't get the hotel I wanted in Padre. Anyway, after checking in to our hotel, decided to look around on yelp. I try not to look for buffet as I'm just fat and have little will power when it comes to food. But I was craving both Asian food and Mongolian bbq. When we got there around 630p on a Saturday night, we were quickly seated. It's your typical Chinese buffet in walking around. I usually like to start with the Mongolian bbq. The meat selection was good along with some veggies, but no cabbage? Also, there are no sauce selection, so I had to tell the cook to put less soysauce/salt, and ok to make it spicy. The bbq was ready in about 5min, but as expected, the cook added too much soy sauce as it was a bit salty. The spiciness was just right however. Overall, it wasn't bad, except for too much sauce. The rest of the buffet was the typical Asian food. There really is nothing that stands out. Only thing different about this place is that you have to pay first, then they seat you. Aside from that, nothing fancy or special, and nothing bad to report. It's your typical Asian buffet, with some sushi, soup, Mongolian bbq, etc. read more

It's pretty hard to find vegan food in this area. Certainly, carnivores will love this place, but a vegan can also eat a decent meal. There are a couple vegetable dishes, plain lo mein, some animal-free sushi, and white rice in the sushi area if you don't like egg in your fried rice. Some egg-free fried rice would be a wonderful addition, but I'll take what I can get. My only real problem with the place is that it's a zoo at peak mealtimes because the patrons' children are completely out-of-hand. I don't think the restaurant will do much about this, since they want the parents to come back. I tried eating later in the evening but it doesn't look like they put fresh food out after 8:30. read more

This is the worst Chinese buffet that I have ever been too. The food on line is cold. Nothing was hot. They only way to get hot food is the Mongolia grill. This place is very dirty. I don't recommend eating here at all. Very disappointed read more

My favorite place to eat buffet! The food is always steaming hot! My place to go to when I am in need for a buffet!

The service was great. But, the food most of what I tried tasted a bit rotten. Just had a horrible Taste to it. The food I would not give a 5 or 4. read more

Food is okay but won't go back. 9pm on a Saturday night and I get out of the car to see business hours. Open to 10pm so unload the kids because should have plenty of time for a buffet. Walk in to be told they are closed. Not cool. Update your sign or go by the hours posted. read more

We enjoy a good Asian buffet, and this one hits the target. They have a wide variety of prepared dishes, a good salad bar, and several desserts, including real ice cream (not the soft-serve stuff). In addition to Asian-type dishes, they also have a good variety of seafood, including peel-n-eat shrimp and raw oysters. You can find pizza and french fries. And here's your chance to try frog legs and sushi. One of the more popular areas is the grill. Choose your own raw ingredients (seafood, beef, chicken, pork, veggies, noodles), and they'll cook it for you. We've been here several times, and found the food to be the very best during prime meal times. The food was hot and had a good appearance. They did a good job of replenishing the buffet as needed. The servers kept our table cleared of the used plates, and they did a good job of refilling our beverage glasses. We've tried a couple of other Asian buffets in Brownsville, but this one is at the top of our list. Prices are very good. Beverages cost extra. They accept credit cards (at least Discover, Visa, Mastercard). read more

One of my favorite places to eat. Have a nice abundance of food and have option to have a plate made. I am a frequent customer. Kept nicely clean. Staff very friendly. Good buffet resturant. read more

So I have been here several times since I moved to texas last year. This buffet seems to be the best compared to the other two buffets I have been to. There food is usually fresh and hot and the men making the hibachi are really great. The person making the sushi is awesome and is really creative. The sushi here is the best I've had. The only complaint I have is that they never seem to cook their egg rolls long enough. The pastry on the inside is usually too chewy and the filling very watery. But the flavor was spot on the one time I had a nicely cooked one. The orange chicken and the coconut shrimp is awesome. They make really great vegetables too. One think I really wish they would do is enforce their rule of children being watched by their parents at the bars. One kid today almost grabbed the hot metal on the back of the hibachi grill, and then he put his hands in my food that had just been placed down. I would happily give it five stars if they would enforce parents to watch their own kids. read more

This is one of my favorite "Asian" style buffets to eat at. They have won multiple awards for cleanliness which makes me feel at ease eating there. Their "Mongolian" bar has plenty of raw veggies and meats. They have a small, but very tasty, variety of sushi which is always prepared freshly and right in front of you. I don't always pick on the buffet bar but the items I do select are always warm/hot and fresh. The Coconut Shrimp is very tasty when available. I Love it here and eat here a minimum of 3-4 times per month. read more

I ate there today with my husband and we tried multiple items including stir fried shrimp, calamari, chicken, fruit and more. I was very disappointed that the food was cool. Made me think are the warmers even working. I have never eaten at a buffet that serves cool foods that are suppose to be "preventing bacterial growth". People can get food poisoning and die when the food is not kept at a proper temperature. I will never eat there again. read more

I feel let down not because the food wasn't good, but because Sandra W.'s review was mistaken. They didn't have ice cream nor frog legs. They had raw mussels, not raw oysters. The prices were the typical $10-ish dinner price. There's nothing to really set this restaurant apart from similar Asian buffets. We probably won't return unless we happen to be shopping in the area. read more

I just enjoyed a lot the place. Friendly people, good food at a great price. Only thing is the long lines at the grill area, other than that, muy bueno. read more

Holy smokes this place is m-azing. Ton of choices and the food is always fresh.

I have gone this this place many times and its is ok. I mean I've had a better Chinese food before. The place is ok but like in any other buffet, parents don't take of their kids and you can see the lack of manners. People are chewing food while serving themselves. Going back to the restaurant, food is ok, good flavor, constantly being refilled with fresh food. Mongolian food is always fresh and well-prepared. read more

February 21, 2019. We just returned from dinner at the Asian Buffet. We were a party of 6 adults and tried most of the dishes offered. A couple of us really liked the coconut shrimp and another quite liked the Teriyaki chicken. The wonton soup was good but the meat in the wontons had a slightly rancid taste. We found most of the chicken on the buffet also had a rancid taste. The fresh fruit was good. We were at the buffet for about an hour. Before leaving one of us was struck with a bout of diarrhea. The women's washroom was dirty which wanted to make you puke. On the way home we had to rush because 2 more of our party was about to have diarrhea. I do not recommend this Asian Buffet...while the buffet looks impressive, in reality it is quite disgusting. My gut is still rumbling so I guess I'm still not finished with the diarrhea!
