I went to that firm and they told me we had a case. I had to constantly call them and the associate was rude and put out to speak to us. They kept changing their story about the status of the case. I don't think having the highest jury awards makes you the best lawyers--because they don't treat everyone in their firm equally --their clients. I have done some reseach and spoken to former lawyers from this firm and fournd out that the handling of my case was par for the course. Keeping a case in house for ten months and telling someone you have filed and then saying we aren't going to devote our resources is not cool. I tried to get one of the partners to speak to me numerous times. I was only allowed to speak to one contact who I found out had little actual knowledge of my case, and it is in my opinion, a paper mill. Let me put it another way--they do not tell you when you walk in the door that if you have medical expert approval and their lawyers don't want to go forward they won't take it, they tell you, as others have written that if you have medical expert support that they will go forward. They didn't in my case--so what gives? I think the answer is in the amount of damages. I bet the people who have said Lubin and Meyer did a great job have either been lawyers sucking up for a job or referral fees or clients who have gotten close to a million or more. They just wont take cases if the Plaintiff is not close to death. BOTTOM LINE: IN MY CASE THEY MADE A FALSE PROMISE and ruined my chance at getting another lawyer. Better not happen be threatened by them for writing this or I will go to the bar and call the police. But the truth needs to be told. Yes, they helped a FEW, but they PROMISE to help MANY who they keep in house way too long and refuse to go forward even after a favorable medical review. So, in my mind that is not fair. I have never heard giving an associate of less than four years the ability to turn a case down over the objections of their own medical experts for dubious reasons. They deny due process to their clients in that they don't ask their version of reality--they think something and run with it. With the volumeof advertising they get, they are bound to get some good cases but don't take cases and keep them longer than was prudent and don't tell people lies. I would like to know how to contact the other persons in this (except the lawyers who should not be allowed on a consumer board unless they have been clients). I would like to invite them all to a meeting to discuss going forward with something, read more

I am not impressed with Lubin & Meyer and they are affiliated with James Sokolove's Organization. Corrine Machado was employed in this office. She was introduced to me and she told me I was a household name.I reported some very serious issues and concerns on to our own governing officials. I witnessed so much corruption in the State of N.H. and the N.E. Region. My husband died on the N.H. State Highway in a company truck. He had very poor medical care the last year of his life and his employer was fully aware of that process. I don't know what job site he worked on the day he did die. No one would tell me but one employee told me it was a terrible day and someone kept pulling him off the job. Many attorneys were in my husband's medical file during one time frame. A false medical record was in the file and Connie Machado told me that she sorted the records and told me to concentrate on the record in a pink folder. A woman doctor in the State of N.H. (Dr. Peggy Gregory) placed a false record in my husband's file. She wasn't even a doctor at the time she placed the date on the file. She took care of women and delivered babies in the State of N.H. during the time frame that I was informed of the false medical record. She would have never seen my husband any time. This medical record would suggest that my husband had some type of "heart:" condition ten years prior to his unexpected death. If he knew of any heart condition and didn't alert his employer of this condition,I guess insurance claims would be "Denied." If he did have a heart condition, why did he receive such horrible medical care six weeks before he died? He was treated for carpel tunnel when he complained about pains in his left arm and throughout his neck. I didn't know he had complained of this condition until I pulled the medical records. He wore the wrist band for a few weeks. Insurance fraud seems to be supported in clear retaliation because I reported corrupt practices of many an officer of the courts in the State of N.H. Re: www.nhcitcourts.org James Sokolove's Organization allowed my children and I to fend for ourselves and George Pynn Masonry of Plaistow, N.H. claimed to have the best attorneys in the region. Devine,Millimet and Branch of N.H. and MA represent many insurance companies and have been led to believe that corruption should prevail over "civility." Lubin and Meyers should have a huge legal malpractice insurance coverage to compensate for their practices. The U.S. D.O.J. has protected Lubin and Meyers during this disgusting and most disturbing process. read more

Elizabeth R--report the firm to the NH Bar-they will tell you where to file the complaint. My sincere sympathy for the loss of your husband. In my case, I cannot begin to tell you the problems I encountered with this firm. First of all, they lie. Secondly, they do an incomplete and sloppy review of the medical file--missing things in correspondence and other parts of the file that a firm with less ego and more time would not miss. If you go there, remember my words--they only end up taking the quick settlement, quick and dirty cases. By this I mean the infant deaths through obstetrical fault, and gross malpractice. They farm their work out to other firms and are indeed affiliated with James Sokolove and Abramson firm in NH. Now Abramson is better than they are in terms of ethics, but as consumers learn of the behavior of the attorneys of Lubin and Meyer they start to associate the two. My case was poorly managed, I KNOW I was lied to, my records were grossly misinterpreted (for example they faulted me for not following up with a specialist that had ceased being my doctor by telling my doctor, not me. These little bits and pieces can make or break a case. I find it appaling that they would have their attorney send threatening letters when I wrote a review. I have been an administrative judge and know the rules of evidence pretty darn well and disagree with their analysis of my case--it really came down to not wanting to practice before a tribunal in another state and "travel long distances". They also were going to refer it to a firm that was conflicted out of the case, so when they found this out they started making up excuses and telling me to hurry up and find another lawyer because I had a good case but they now had a conflict. They then changed their story when I threatened to report their conduct to the Bar. I would not recommend a client to this firm. This is my opinion and I have the right to state it. If I get another harassing letter from their lawyer I will post it here to show everyone how they deal with former clients. I can look at myself in the mirror --can they? What goes around comes around. I wish upon the people at this firm all of the treatment that they have given others. read more

I canNOT believe that one of the other posters on this site would demean the death of my child like this! Don't you think that I too had some medical complications after what happened? While I was only concerned about my child, I too had some problems that Lubin & Meyer helped with. For you to write the harsh things you did is cruel, insensitive and vulgar. You're clearly a very angry person and just as heartless as the insurance company we dealt with. PS The contingency agreement that Lubin & Meyer gives you says that if the medical records don't appear that they can proceed, YOU can pay the expenses to go forward with your case. So if YOU believe SO strongly you have a case, why don't you put up the money yourself as you seem so sure that you have a winner on your hands? I don't know who you dealt with but my experience was nothing like the other postings. I dealt with the loss of my first child. We talked with a couple other firms and none were as compassionate or as knowlegeable as Lubin & Meyer. Yes, they told us they needed to review the medical records, but how else do they determine that they have a case?? To some extent, I wish we didn't have a case and that instead we had our child. I guess the "lucky ones" are the ones that the firm turns down as I read these posting because we went through a long and painful process that took many, many months - more than I would have liked or want to remember or have relived under the circumstances. Was that Lubin & Meyer's fault? No, it was the cold heartless insurance company that didn't care about my pain, my loss or my suffering - or that I had to bury my child because their doctor screwed up. The insurance company fought us every step of the way while our attorney offered words of sympathy and support and fought for us and our baby. Lubin & Meyer took great care of us and I hope no one else has to go through this again. But if they do, I would recommend this firm without hesitation and tell them they'd be a fool not to go with Lubin & Meyer. read more

My experience with Lubin & Meyer was brief. I filled out their web form weeks after my beloved family member passed, a heartbreaking experience but also a wrenching one due to medical negligence and indifference. Attorney Krysia J. Syska called me back for a consultation. From the first moments, Attorney Syska was harsh, arrogant, condescending, talked over me, failed to make room and listen, and severely inappropriate to deal with a bereaved family member, or indeed any sentient being that I can think of. Though my message had included heartbreaking information about my beloved parent's suffering, she offered not a word of condolence, and indeed seemed to relish the opportunity to be domineering and cruel. It was appallingly inappropriate. Syska seems to me a blatant example of the truly malignant narcissist. I had a strong sense (and the reviews of Lubin & Meyer below confirm the sociopathic calibration of this law firm, including the one from the law teacher, and the poor mom who they slammed for 25k the night before the trial for her beloved child), that Syska was extra harsh and cruel because she had already decided this case was not worth pursuing for her, and thus there was no value in behaving humanely or decently. What an awful human being. I am astonished at the number of reviews for this law office that describe similar abuse and incompetence. Unfortunately, our society is arranged in a way that a person as arrogant and inhuman as Krysia can prosper, and thus feel aggrandized and validated. She is not. She may be a decent attack dog for cross-examination, but Lubin & Meyer would do well to rethink her as the liaison to the bereaved in malpractice consults. Because of attorney Krysia J. Syska's harsh, arrogant and thoughtless behavior and what clearly is sociopathic self-interest, I intend to avoid this law office at all costs. I am sorry for those who know her. read more

The behavior of this firm has been a factor in a tragic situation with someone who wrote a review on this board. Don't kick people when they are down. The results will probably be public information, so let up on this stuff. Also, my most sincere sympathies to anyone loosing a child but please do not assume everyone was treated the way you were. I am glad that you got the compensation you deserved and realize it will never make up for your loss. That said, you have no idea what that woman who wrote a review went through, so why criticize her situation? You have every right to post a review but don't review a review. Lubin and Meyer has consistently treated this woman unfairly, and now serious consequences have resulted. I am asking the critiques of her situation to stop. If you want to rate the firm do so. If you are an attorney, do so as a peer review. All this may come into evidence given developments today, which are very sad. Please respect the family's privacy and yes, I blame the dumping of pounds of medical records on a very sick woman and failing to go through with a promise as a major causal factor of her situation. read more

As an attorney, I am familiar with this firm and its attorneys, having referred numerous clients to them. They are nationally recognized and for good reason - they are the only firm qualified to handle these complex and difficult cases. They are knowledgeable about the law, highly skilled trial attorneys and receive the highest verdicts and settlements as a result. My clients have always been impressed with their work ethic, sensitivity and the results the firm has obtained for them. I have and will continue to recommend them. read more
