Español Abajo... Incompetent, uncaring, not knowledgeable. Terrible especially if you are trusting them to help you with something important. I used this company years ago. All in all, they are incompetent and I wouldn't trust them with something you care about. I would have written this years ago, but there was no Yelp back then. The reason why I decided to write this now is that I saw a commercial for them and I thought about how bad my experience was with them and how much I wouldn't want anyone to trust their immigration cases with him. There were several problems. First, I was supposed to work with one attorney that I liked and actually spoke Spanish (something important to my case). She moved, and no one told me. Second, many of the papers that they had to fill out for an immigration case were incorrect, so they weren't really good at copying, a skill most school aged students perfect by the 3rd grade. Third, they supposedly speak Spanish and were supposed to prepare their client for the interview. Mr. Fitzgerald has a remedial ability to speak Spanish at best and was not understood very well during the prep meeting. He also seemed to be unaware and not knowledgeable about what the interview would be like. So even if there were no problem with communication based on language, the prep session was not helpful at all. Forth, they had told me that unless something out of the norm happened, they would not charge me any more than the retainer fee of 1,500. All they did was fill out some paperwork which had to be fixed several times because the information was entered incorrectly, have a prep meeting, and send in some paperwork. Then after nothing out of the norm happened, Mr. Fitzgerald sent me a bill for more time. Seriously, there was no way I would give them another penny, NO WAY! I told him as much and he never asked for anything again. The funniest part is when they called me 8 months after a deadline to see if I wanted them to fill out the follow up paperwork with them. Obviously I had already done it myself before the deadline because I care about my case and they don't. ESPANOL: Incompetente, indiferente, no bien informado. He utilizado esta empresa hace años.

The FitzGerald law firm represented me in a very complicated immigration legal case when no other legal firm would take my case. I had come to the United States on a student Visa, overstayed my visa, gotten married and became a permanent resident. Later, my residency had some problems which led to a deportation proceeding. I was working with another attorney from a different law firm by then who told me there was nothing much he could do for me at that point. I remembered someone had told me about attorney Desmond from FitzGerald law Company who had represented him in a successful immigration legal case. I contacted Attorney Desmond FitzGerald and he agreed to take my case despite of the complexity. He was able to advocate for me to remain in the country legally during my deportation proceeding a period during which I was able to work, go to school and travel. Despite the complexity of my case, he helped me explore other options and I was able to get my green card. Attorney Desmond FitzGerald is brilliant, experienced, professional, and knowledgeable in Immigration law and in law in general. His approach to legal cases is goal oriented which is very helpful to individual clients. I also had an opportunity of working with attorney Pamela Fuentes as my second attorney. She worked very closely with Desmond and is also brilliant, professional, and knowledgeable on immigration law. She is thorough and confident. I could not have asked for better attorneys than Desmond and Pamela. I also had an opportunity of working with other attorneys in the law firm on as needed basis. The FitzGerald law Company attorneys are experienced in Immigration law, criminal and personal injury legal matters and I would recommend them to anyone without any reservation. They work as a team and bring different expertise to the law firm. Attorney Desmond and Attorney Pamela kept me well informed about my case and they were available to answer any question or to meet with me. They accompanied me to all my interviews and hearing appointments. They stood by me when fear and uncertainty used to take over and counseled me to stay the course as they tried their very best for a good outcome in my case. They are respectful and good listeners which made me feel valued as an individual and not as a case which they do with all their clients. They keep very good documentation, paying attention to details about the supporting documents throughout the progress of the case which is crucial during hearings and interviews. They are experienced in guiding the individual client on what is expected of them. They are culturally competent and work very well with a diverse population. The FitzGerald law firm is transparent when it comes to legal fees. They explain the legal fee upfront, they publish their fees on their web site, and offer payment plans which are fair and affordable. The Law firm staff, the customer service, administration, billing and everybody else in the office is respectful which creates a very conducive atmosphere for individual clients. I could not have worked with a better law firm than FitzGerald law Company and I am very satisfied with my outcome. Kudos to the FitzGerald law Company! Wambui read more
