Ok, I've got a bit of a story to tell. Unfortunately I did not feel like they cared about our situation. They didn't care that we broke the bank, and they didn't have any supportive conversations with me or my wife about the situation. I called the shop, asked if they would give me a quote over the phone to drain the AC system, then once the part is replaced they would re-charge our AC system. Was quoted $341.56 for this work to be done. Ok great, my wife takes the truck into the shop to have it drained the next day. They then say it's $600+ and said it's because of the AC system we have. We said ok, whatever, it's got to get done. They drain the system, then recharge the system all at once. My wife leaves confused as to why they did that. Once I got involved and told them they just charged a leaking system, we brought it back to have it drained. They said it was a miscommunication on our end, blaming my wife. Not her fault, Whatever, moving on. I replaced the part (condenser) and took the car into the shop myself the next day, and instead of making me feel confident that they will make sure the system doesn't leak and gets charged properly. The first thing they did was complain about the The first thing they did was complain about the miscommunication that happened amongst them and my wife the day before. Blaming her again. This made me very mad, instead of making it right they continued to talk about the situation. They should have apologized and said they are here to help us, let's make this right so you guys can drive your kids around and keep them cool during the hot summer days. But no. Instead, they express that they don't really care. They just care about making a profit. Bottom line I didn't feel wanted there, they didn't make me feel like they would help anyway they can. Instead they complained about the situation and didn't care that I spent every last penny I had to get this AC working again. Because of this incident I will not be coming back, the females there have terrible attitudes. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Hope everyone else has a better experience, I was hopeful that this was going to be a great place to go to. Unfortunately it's not..

There weren't even many people in front of me and I waited two hours for a valve stem to be replaced on my car. Two whole hours. Don't go here if you are in a rush. Walmart might be faster.

Cost of labor is too high for a shop that consistently turns away costumers needing work…read moresame-day/next-day. Everytime I go in there they schedule me at least a week out and I figure out how to do the job myself by then lol and save myself the cost of labor, so thanks for that atleast

I have thought long and hard about writing a review about Crawfordville Automotive repair. I have…read moresubmitted service on 5 vehicles in the past. When Dan was running it. He made sure the mechanics did the job for the cost of the repair. Since then, I took my Truck in to have a routine ballpoint replacement (upper lower). I left town on a trip and never got a call letting me know it was finished. (2 weeks later) I called before I took a flight back to make sure it was finished. "yes sir, we are getting ready to finish it tomorrow" (The day I was scheduled to land back in Leon County) Well, the ball joints where definitely put back into the arms (upper/lower arms). And, when it came time to service (grease joints). The orffes on bottom joints had been permatexed shut. Meaning they didn't put any grease fitting on. And the mechanic didn't' forget he simply glued the hole. If you don't know, that means you cant add grease to make the joints last. I asked Mr James about it. "we would never do that" I replied "this truck has never been anywhere else"!!! He then said it would be 2 hours labor but would never return my call after the 3 call? I am now needing new ball joints again... 2 years later. The joints cost me $1400.00 Now they need replaced again 2 years later because they cant be greased and run dry... Crawfordville Automotive failed to communicate!! You should not need to replace ball joints in 2 years unless they run dry... And, never should they be permatexed closed so that they cant be serviced (greased) This is very basic service and the unskilled craftsmanship has cost me too much money to continue patronizing the business.. I wish Dan was still in charge. He wold have answered the call and set up maintenance! Loss of Trust
