Seems that Lu's has gone downhill somewhat which is really unfortunate. This is the 3rd time we've used their company for total kitchen remodels, and the first 2 times were great. Let me clarify that the Visalia store is much more organized as Molly and Albert care, and truly aim to please. Fresno has some issues. We ordered over $5000 worth of cabinets for a remodel, and also $1600 in granite counter tops. We had to rent a Uhaul to pick up the cabinets, and three times we drove from Visalia to Fresno as they forgot additional cabinets, and hardware. In addition, the granite is random pieces and hardly any matching sets at both stores. We paid Lu's to put the cabinets together, but drawers were crooked and ran into each other when opened. We had to pay a contractor to fix these errors that we already paid Lu's for! Positives were that staff were nice and I think new and overwhelmed. Prices are very decent, but you need to stay on top of the entire project. read more

I did a lot of research before I selected a company to do the granite in my kitchen. Lu was by far the best. Quality products and the least expensive. Rhonda is top notch and very well versed. The nice thing about this place is you get to see first hand and select each piece you want. Most places have you select from samples. Rhonda sent me to the Fresno location as well to hand select some additional pieces to match. You know exactly what you are getting that way. Also, if you can schedule Atia to do the install, he does amazing work. Most people come out and template the work and cut it in the shop and bring it out. He does all cuts onsite. Ensuring perfection. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. The were recommended to me as well. read more

Very unprofessional, after purchase of granite slab. Phone calls were not returned, even when we were told we would be called. We had to keep trying to call back. This happened many times; it was exhausting and maddening. Our granite was delivered as scheduled, but it didn't fit between our desk/cabinets. The granite install guys were not prepared or able to complete the job. A later appointment with the cabinet maker and the granite guys was completely missed - thank goodness for the awesome cabinet maker that made the granite work! Moral of the story: you get what you pay for, and we wish we had known better, because we like good service and would have paid more for it. read more

This is a terrible company. I am a contractor that has an account with them and I had my designer go down to the facility in Visalia and she picked out a bunch of countertops and other items. The employees told her that the product would be there waiting for me. When I went down to purchase the product and schedule it to get picked up by my installer, they told me they sold parts of my order. I was furious and they told me there were different pieces of my order available at all their different facilities (Visalia, Bakersfield, and Clovis) and I was more than welcome to drive to all of them to piece together my order. I asked if they could get all the pieces to the Visalia facility and they said they only do transfers from facility to facility on the 1st and 15th. What company can't fix their mistake by getting the materials to the proper facility after they messed up? I asked if they could AT LEAST warranty the material or give me a discount to accommodate for the lost time and fuel to drive all over the valley and they said their was nothing they could do but maybe on the next order. I told them that I have a large amount of count top jobs in the near future and based on their customer service, I will not be going there. Terrible company. I recommend going ANYWHERE else. I will be passing this on to any contractor I know and highly encourage them to go elsewhere as well. read more

The General Contractor that we hired to remodel our kitchen used Lu Granite to install the granite on the new cabinets. The granite they used was beautiful.. The workmanship to install the Granite was terrible. There are chips all over every edge where the granite butts up to the cabinets, they had to use some sort of epoxy to patch these areas. Now we have epoxy patches in our brand new kitchen! I would not recommend these guys to anyone. On top of poor workmanship these guys do not show up when they say they are going to show up. We waited an entire Saturday for them to show and they never showed. I could go on, but I made my point. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Word of advice, make sure the people that INSTALL your granite are the professionals!!!! (Not kids who do a piss poor job) if someone approaches you offering to do the job at a discounted rate don't fall for it!!!! They are trying to do it as a side job and WILL do the shittiest job. Our walls were left scratched and the granite wasn't even cut properly to fit. Needless to say we had the granite removed. We will be going to REAL professionals who KNOW what they're doing. We went to Lu Granite to purchase granite countertops for our kitchen remodel. We were helped by Drew in Clovis and he was great during the entire ordeal. The company sent out a gentleman to measure my countertops in a timely manner. We had to go to the Fresno location to pick out our granite slabs. When we arrived at the Fresno store, we were helped by a female employee, who was horrible. She does not know anything about granite and could not understand why we had to have matching pieces. After her rude attitude, we became upset due to having a kitchen that was ready for new countertops. We were then helped by a young man who tried as hard as he could to come up with a solution to our problem. The gentlemen from Fresno got into contact with Drew and they came up with a solution, by the store sending us larger slabs and them paying for the extra labor to install. The installer showed up a week later and one of the slabs were to small. The installer got on the phone with Drew and came up with a solution and it was determined that the installer would go to there Visalia location, pick up the materials and return the following day to install the countertops. The installer picked out the slabs for me and returned on time the following day and installed my new countertops. The following morning I woke up to spots in he granite from the moister from the glue coming through the top. Thankfully I contacted Drew and another gentleman at the clovis location and they both settled my concern and thankfully the spots cleared up a few days later. As you can see everything that could of went wrong pretty much did. Even with the issues that I experienced, I still would give Lu granite in Clovis a five star rating. This is because of the excellent service from Drew at the clovis store and every issue that came up was taken care of in a timely fashion. read more

I purchased a marble slab and then decided on another stone from someplace else, I called to cancel the purchase which was never removed from the store. I was told they would deduct a 15% re-stocking fee, this was not a restock it was a cancellation. On their invoice it states there will be a 15% stocking fee for granite, I purchased marble. I feel this is a bad policy as a re-stocking fee is for taking a purchase back into stock which they did not do, it is in the same location as when I first looked at it. The owner is being stubborn and and wants to give me a check instead of crediting my credit card and wants me to make a 10 mile round trip to pick the check up so I can sign that I received it. BUYER BEWARE!!! LuGranite as an unprofessional nightmare from start to incomplete finish. I wouldn't give even one star if I could write a review without it. I had my kitchen remodeled in June, and to date, I still have pieces that I paid for that have not been able to be installed because they are not the right sizes, I have items that were found to be damaged after installation, and items that were poorly installed by their installers. The cabinets were supposed to be put together when the contractor picked them up, but because of the delays on the part of Lu Granite, they were not ready and he had to pick them up not put together, only to find them damaged when he got them to my house. We attempted to address countless issues throughout the remodel and after. There were multiple occasions of missed appointments, and the granite installers coming to my home hours late (when they did come) without materials to do the job. Which is incredibly unfortunate, because the granite was beautiful but the poor workmanship of the installation ruined it. In addition, the language barrier created a huge issue with every trip that he made, and when I would call my sales representative to address the issues because the promises she made were not being upheld, she would say she told him what was going on, but he always claimed to know nothing about it. She would promise to come out herself, and although she came a few times, the issues were never rectified. She would verify the problems, and take photos, and tell me she would fix it. Throughout the process, I was passed along to multiple people who also knew of and acknowledge the issues, and tell me they would rectify the problems, then after literally weeks at a time of nothing while waiting to hear back, I receive excuses, or find out employees are now gone and I had to start this process over. When I am then transferred to someone new who promises to make it right, after I go through the same process of explaining, waiting for them to verify, I've even had another manager out to photograph the issues, stood in my kitchen, and promised me he would get things in motion by the end of that week to fix the issues. That was on September 13th. Here I sit. I waited several weeks, and emailed, asking for an update, and was ignored. Emailed again a few weeks later, still nothing. After several months, and no results I asked for a refund for the items that are damaged, installed incorrectly, and unable to be installed. I cannot get a response from anyone since. Looking back, what I find interesting, is that in order to receive a discount, I was asked to pay for my cabinets and counter tops IN CASH, and was given a deadline to do so. I kept my end of the bargain, I have all the receipts etc. But I have not been not been able to get them to keep up their end and complete my kitchen. The unprofessional antics extends even to the licensed contractor that they attempted to blame for every miscommunication and tried to make him pay for mistakes made in their company, even though I was privy to their conversations. I would also like to note that I received a USED item that I was charged for. That took months to receive. It would seem that this business is only out for themselves. On multiple occasions, I asked to speak to the Owner, to address and rectify the problems I was having. I have been told that he is very involved, however every time I asked I would get a call from someone else making me promises. Obviously until the point that the calls just stopped coming. I have reported them to BBB, to which they have not responded, and my husband and I are currently exploring alternate means of resolution in this matter. I feel for anyone else who has had the misfortune of similar experience. Anyone who is considering using them in the future, beware and definitely do your research. read more

so I ordered a remnant piece for a very small counter top, the installer was a flake, took them 3 days from the first installer who flaked out to put it in, then they sent me another installer who we had a language barrier, and the piece was cut wrong, so they had to bring another piece, this time it was done correctly but had a hair line crack, Rhonda the rep toward the end was getting frustrated with me I asked for a refund, and was only give 200 of the 400 I paid, now I am left with a crack from front to back and was told by Rhonda that Jason Lu the owner is being very generous to me by giving me 200, seriously will not do business with them ever again, when they did my first set of granite it came out nice but their installer Marvin was a flake, weird guy want to do our kitchen at 9pm at night, and would not show up to do the work. when I asked for the a new piece I was told they will not be responsible for any damage to remove the cracked piece they sold me to my cabinet, even though they installed me a damaged piece, then I was told I signed a paper which we were never given a copy of this place is very shady, you pay for what you get, and I have read some very bad reviews,I should have done my home work before picking them. They hold a A rating with the BBB that is my next place to go to, to make sure this doesnt happen to anyone else, and to let them know they are not an A grade company. read more

Do not do business with this company. After ordering countertop with this company, they proceed to send out an installer who proceeds to ruin the first counter top by cutting out faucet holes incorrectly (they were about an inch off center). When installer advised of this, he reluctantly uses remaining half of slab I had BOUGHT AND PAID FOR to prefabricate new top (reluctant because he had already loaded remaining part onto his truck). Aside from sloppiness with install (glue left all around sink edge that you can feel under lip of counter top), same installer now installs a chipped back splash. Mind you he had another perfectly good piece that he some how "misplaced" because he decided to take it (i suspect for another job). I immediately notified manager who advised he needed to order new material. After several weeks, I had to call them back to remind them I needed my back splash replaced. I had also advised them of the installers sloppiness and essentially theft of remaining materials that would have allowed my project to be completed. They proceed to send same person back with instructions to "patch" crack. I never purchased broken material. I advised installer that was not acceptable and came to conclusion they would order new piece. After several more weeks, several more phone calls, showing up at show room twice (first time manager was not there), had same incompetent installer come back to fix back splash. Still think it was poorly done and not happy with work but do not have much recourse aside from letting every one know how bad it was to deal with this company. I would pay twice as much to not deal with the incompetence again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Shop elsewhere for labor HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.This company's bottom line is collect from the customer. As an employee your forced to sign a waiver to make sales whether you can deliver or not. Right or wrong. This company is caught up in numerous lawsuits regarding business practices and licensing, which is suspended or revoked half the time. Which can be verified online (check their licensing, mainly their installers). Use homeadviser.com for labor needs it'll cost you significantly less. If you have to buy from them bring a contractor and use their 15% contractor discount if they tell you it's anything less they're lying. Good luck if you're choosing them for installs the schedule is at their discretion hardly any point reserving dates or putting deposits down with them, their monthly sale that knocks off a couple hundred off install has been going since 2017 and is only to get customers to pay in full (and get around legalities involving taking deposits from customers) so afterwards they can be charged a restock fee regardless of completion. Read the fine print in their contracts its a 25% restock fee. (regardless if you picked up the material, they can just say it had to be transferred and what not) There is a reason this company has either really good reviews or really bad ones (by the way having employees review your own yelp page looks bad. talking to Best J. an employee, of course they'll do a good job for her, biased review as few others are on here.) Shop elsewhere for labor HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you only think your paying for licensed work here, if you think you're getting a good deal take their quotes and compare labor to Homeadviser. That pertains to flooring installs, cabinet installs, counter top installs everything labor wise. if you don't care about licensing find your own installers it'll still save you over Lu Granite rates. read more

I only gave Lu Granite 1 star becuase 0 stars is not an option. The only thing I liked was the color of my granite which can be found at any other granite store. Bait and switch business ethics. We were quoted initially with certain pieces and found out during the install that one was left off, when we pointed out the items on the original quote, we were told they remember us saying never mind about it (even though I texted Jackie the day after she came out to measure the 2nd time to make sure the piece was measured for. It was in fact measured on the 1st time Jackie came out and took measurements.) Make sure you diligently look over paper work and verify RIGHT BEFORE you pay the down payment and right before the install. We were very understanding with careless and substandard work such as large gaps between wall and granite, even in areas backsplash wasn't going, "incorrect" measurement of a piece of granite (which they told us they aren't responisble for, ie. we had to pay for a new slab if we wanted to have it the correct width), damage to our cabinets, and a very agurmentive, rude installing crew. When it came to installing our sink, which is a undermount sink, they did not want to install it correctly. When installing undermount sinks, silcon needs to be applied between the top of the sink and granite so the sink will not move. They did not do this and refused to do it and also put the hole for the faucet in the wrong area. read more
