Zero pain HSG as everyone said I felt nothing at all Now I do think also the lorazepam one mg n also hydrocodone worked too but I think any ibuprofen 600 mg would be ok too I need them for panic attacks But i recommend take something for sure But again as i said the doctor swivumer He is very experienced Price is 775 cash tho But worth the money pain free They will charge you extra 400$ if the tube is block n if they can unblock for you Case by case tho You need a doctor order for sure But I love the experience i recommend to everyone You need to know ask a day off if you work the next day some ppl like me felt sooooooo tired next day I believe the body went through this trama even tho is pain free So make sure next day you don't work just rest n sleep read more

Highly recommend coming here for an HSG, it is worth a drive! I was nervous because the test has a reputation for being potentially painful, but my experience with Dr Schwimmer was smooth and painless. The speculum was the worst part, and when I mentioned I felt a pinch he was able to adjust it. I hardly felt anything else, even when scooching around and rolling onto my side for different view angles. Clarice, who helped, and the Dr were both very friendly and patient, and explained what was happening beforehand and as they did it. They are clearly very skilled and familiar with the procedure. Dr Schwimmer told me he does 6 HSGs a day sometimes, and the experience shows. Quick, efficient, and painless. It may also have helped that my tubes were open, and I took 1000mg of Tylenol 40 min before my appointment. Note that you do need to show an "order" from the Dr who ordered the test you are coming here for, in my case my Reproductive Endocrinologist. No one had told me this, but fortunately I had printed out a list of all the tests my RE gave us of all the diagnostic tests they want completed, including the HSG, on her letterhead, with my name, and that was all they needed. I paid out of pocket as my insurance doesn't cover infertility testing, and really appreciated that they readily quoted the price ($775) over the phone (hospitals won't give quotes). Another imaging place quoted me $525, but this place had much better reviews, and I am glad I picked this this one! They give you a copy of the images on a CD afterwards, and I was very glad to have a copy. I didn't actually own a drive that can read a CD (lol) but chose to buy an external one, because I'd like to have a copy on my computer for my records, and uploading the images to my RE's patient portal is easier than bringing them the physical disc. LSG Imaging also faxes a written report to the ordering Dr, but they don't send the images. There is a dedicated parking structure behind the building, parking was $13.75 for about an hour. read more

Definitely recommend!! I live in Upland and needed to have an HSG test done. I called all the imaging centers nearby and none of them had even heard of this test... I looked on Yelp and Google and this place came up with great reviews, specifically people mentioning the HSG tests. The drive was over 50 miles each way for me, but after having a traumatizing LEEP procedure last year, i was super nervous and willing to drive anywhere to receive great care. That's exactly what happened! From the minute I walked through the door to the nurse who helped me (so mad I don't remember her name, but she was blonde) she was so sweet and attentive; explained the procedure and all the steps prior to them doing anything. Dr. Lebovic was very knowledgeable and caring. Since i had a LEEP procedure, i had some scar tissue around my cervix, so they had to use dilators to help the catheter go through where it needed to go. The catheter being inserted pinched a bit, but they both helped me stay calm the entire time and answered all my questions without any rush. At the end i got great news with no complications! Phew. Would recommend anyone who needs an HSG to come here. P.S. My Dr had prescribed me to take antibiotics for 5 days, starting the day before test; and I took 600mg ibuprofen 1 hour prior to the test. ** P.S. I was a client with dr Goldberg and dr Schwimmer for 15 (?) years. I'd be hard pressed to go back there after today-I'd be in need - which I actually am right now . I feel I now have a clearer picture of what they are able to do: and that is mammograms only. And the truth is mammography is not sufficient statistically for women like myself with diagnosed dense breasts -which is 50% of us. 50% of us have a statistically high chance of a mammogram missing something. The numbers are actually pretty scary (so I won't post them), especially considering how much we are all pummeled in to thinking a normal mammogram means we are fine. It just doesn't assure that. In order for Insurance to pay for the ultrasound one has to first have a mammogram. But that is just insurance. This office is OUT of network! It's up to us to file a claim after the appointment. That has zero to do with what is right for the patient. ZERO. My doctor told me to get an ultrasound as she reminded me that mammography is not the best test for 50% of us. Ultrasound is the better test. MRI is even better. She suggested I go to this office again, or Sonocine in Pasadena, where I've also been going for a long time as well. I called both and this office could get me in sooner. 8am. The lady told me to get my latest mammogram IMAGES from UCLA. I drove to UCLA and got them on disk yesterday. I got up at 5am today, drove 1.5 hours to my appt. To find out Dr Goldberg was at his other office. I've never been there. I'm not even sure I recalled that he had another office. They said I could see Dr schwimmer instead, which I have before. I gave them my disc. I could hear the doctor, he said, I don't need the images, I need the report. Which I have at home on my desk. Then he said I also need an order from a doctor to do the ultrasound. We called Dr Hall and my western gyno but they're not in yet. And also...he is a doctor! He does not need an order. He's a doctor! Sonocine you don't need any referral or to pay a doctor. You just pay $350. So I logged in to my UCLA patient portal and was trying to access my order for an ultrasound (I have an appt at UCLA but they can't get me in for another month, I've been waiting 3 months already but recently found a new lump). I could see the order in my patient portal but it wasn't downloading. (I also have the copy of this too at home on my desk but the lady didn't tell me to bring it when I booked!) I showed them my phone and said it won't download, maybe because I'm not on wifi-can I use your wifi? And they said, no. I almost cried. I showed them one thing I could access in my portal that said "dense breasts"-which they know about me. The final straws: The technician said, you have to have a doctors order from outside this office by law. NO YOU DO NOT. That is 100% false. I told her this. Then she tried to cover herself and said, "well, for insurance". I said, the law and getting reimbursed from my insurance (as they don't bill insurance) are not related. I also had told them at the start that I am a cash patient as my deductible is $8k. So: 1. Didn't tell me to go to a different office. 2. Told me images and not reports-he wanted reports and not images 3. Didn't mention or even ask on the phone for a referring doctors note AND here is the kicker! this is crucial to know! I've had mammograms and ultrasounds here, and at UCLA and sonocine. What this office does in their insurance model is a mammogram and they use the ultrasound machine solely to look at a specific area if on the mammogram it shows up some area they need a BETTER view. They do not use the ultrasound to cover the whole breast! Or even both breasts! They will check areas on the breast based on the mammogram. With dense breasts the ultrasound IS the screening tool! It must be carefully and systematically moved across every millimeter of both breasts like UCLA and Sonocine do. (Btw-at Sonocine you can see a doctor for an exam if you like, but you do not need to). Anyway, I've found a lump. I feel like an idiot for only doing a mammogram last year and no ultrasound. I have to wait another month for either UCLA or Sonocine. This is all very stressful and none of this was a concern for this office today. They did not just simply help this patient. So now I don't trust them as much as I need to. Our lives are in their hands and i think they forget that with their in office protocols that are NOT the law. Dr schwimmer was well within his legal rights as a doctor to aim that ultrasound at my breast to tell me if I'm ok, and i was happy to pay him for that. He refused. read more

I can't say enough good things about LSG. Dr. Goldberg in particular is so wonderful as is the entire staff from the nurses to the front desk receptionists. I had gone to another breast imaging clinic for a suspicious lump and had a horrible experience there with their bedside manner and other logistics. I came to LSG for a second opinion per a recommendation from my OBGYN and the care I received there was night and day from the last place. Dr. Goldberg was kind, warm, patient and even managed to make me laugh during my biopsy (which is saying a lot as I was a nervous wreck). He was to the point and didn't sugar coat anything but somehow communicated everything with encouragement and reassurance. The nurses took amazing care of me with their kindness and patience in explaining every procedure and as I was leaving, the front desk staff was "manifesting" good results for me! On top of all these positives, they received my biopsy results in just a day and a half which is far faster than any hospital facility would have. Dr. Goldberg called me personally to deliver the good news that it was nothing and he was so sweet on the phone telling me he had been thinking about me since seeing me. I can't recommend this office enough. Although they are out of network the experience and care is worth every penny. read more

She even went beyond her duty in helping me find my misplaced parking ticket! I'm married to a doctor so I am very hesitant to write a negative review about anything medical but...Do you want to go to a medical facility where you feel respected, cared for and listened to? Then DO NOT GO HERE. Dr Ross Goldberg is a pompous, egotistical man who simply doesn't care about you, what you have to say or the fact that he told you to do something that caused you physical harm. When I went to tell him while he was in the office hallway (I'm standing in a hospital gown opened in the front) that there was a bigger problem, he snapped, "I'm with another patient now." Even though I was waiting to see him for phase 2 in 15 minutes. He completely disregarded that I was trying to tell him something was very wrong. Needless to say I quickly dressed and left. I have to go to a different doctor now to see if I can get help for the medical problem that was caused Dr Goldberg. read more

I just got off the phone with a receptionist. Upon asking if I could schedule an HSG, she replied "$695". (I wanted to know availability first of all, not cost.) When I asked if I could check my insurance with them, she said "You call insurance. I don't call insurance". I am sure that the doctors do wonderful work based on the glowing reviews here, but I was frankly shocked by the brusque, rude phone manner. I was a little nervous getting my HSG done; I didn't know what to expect. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed by nice receptionists. I didn't wait more then 10 min to go in. The back staff (forgot her name ) was really heart warming and made me feel really comfortable and safe. She gave me instructions of what to do and what to expect, very informative. I just completed a Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) test with Dr. Goldberg and his technician Julie and it could not have gone any better. This office has been doing different testings for a long time (like 30 years?) and they know what they are doing. Julie helped me get ready and went into details of what to expect during the test and put my mind at easy. Dr. Goldberg is very friendly and has a great sense of humor. I didn't expect to be entertained during a somewhat nerve-racking test. May I add that I didn't feel pain and it was done within 10 minutes if not sooner. Dr. Goldberg then sit down and go over my test result and image with me. I don't feel rushed or belittled. I had a Sonohysterography (water Ultrasound) at my OB office and it was painful and dreadful. They could not find my left uterus and could not see the bubbles coming out of my left tube. They had to inject the saline twice and use wand extensively for the testing. I was sweating and in pain during and after the test. Not with Dr. Goldberg, even with the dye injection, it was gradual and painless. If you need a HSG test or any test that this office is able to provide, I highly recommend you to see LSG imaging. read more

I don't know where to begin. Judy and Dr. Goldberg were amazing. I had an HSG done in Oct 2019 at Glendale Memorial Hospital radiology and I was left traumatized from the whole experience. The radiologist couldn't get the catheter through my cervix and I was left in excruciating pain. All he said to me was that my tubes look blocked and walked out. Both my gynecologist and my fertility doctor told me I'd have to retake it but I refused to because of the horrible experience I had. After have 3 unsuccessful transfers including 2 miscarriages, I decided to try it again but searched for a different place. I am so glad I found LSG Imaging. They were so welcoming. Everything from scheduling, checking in and the explanation of the process was great. Both Judy and Dr. Goldberg made me feel at ease and reassured me that they do this all the time and I shouldn't feel any pain. They were right! I felt mild discomfort but no pain at all. Not even any cramping. It turns out that both of my tubes are actually open! He even showed it to me after we were done and thoroughly explained it. I cried when he told me that because this whole time I thought they were blocked. He explained the whole process as he was doing it which made me feel more comfortable. When my dr. of nine years retired in 2014, I dreaded finding a new one, so much that I took a year off from my annual exam. Then I tried Tower Imaging in Santa Monica for my annual. It turned out I need a biopsy as my ultrasound showed an irregularity. I didn't want to hear this, so I went to Dr. Goldberg for a 2nd opinion (hoping to avoid a biopsy). He agreed - I needed one :( And he found 2 additional areas of concern - which turned out to be nothing. Years ago, I had a frightening, painful experience at UCLA with what was supposed to be a very simple biopsy -- with no conclusive results and lingering side effects, pain and a trip to the ER in an ambulance. Needless to say, I was extremely anxious about this procedure. So much so that I almost opted for a surgical one instead. Both my gynecologist and a well known holistic dr. (acupuncturist) highly recommended LSG and especially Dr. Ross Goldberg in Beverly Hills. I was somewhat hesitant to use an office that doesn't accept insurance, but in the end felt more comfortable having my procedure here. I could not be happier with the care I received at LSG. I felt 100% safe and comfortable. Yes, the procedure was uncomfortable and at times painful, however Dr. Goldberg and his assistant were as gentle as possible, explained everything, and were very supportive and caring toward me at all times. There is no reason to have an HSG done anywhere other than here. I had one at St Johns a few years ago that was sheer torture-- it felt like I was going to explode from the extreme pain of the procedure and the doctor seemed inexperienced and nervous. It's also generally understood that HSGs are extremely uncomfortable and just something you have to suffer through if your doctor says you have to get one. That's not true if you go here! I truly didn't even know the doctor had started the procedure until he said we were done. He was more than proficient, professional, and kind. On top of that, what an amazingly kind and warm staff! I had an HSG with Dr Schwimer and his nurse Judy. Both of them were so nice and helped me feel so comfortable. I had heard some horror stories about other people's HSG's (and saw that hospitals charge twice as much), so I was worried about getting my HSG at this random place I found on yelp. But it turns out they do tons of HSGs there and are amazing at making you feel comfortable. Judy was so nice- it was such a relief to have that kind of personalized, caring attention in a medical setting. Dr Schwimer was also really warm and helpful, and the procedure didn't hurt at all. (I will note there is another review of a different dr and his inappropriately sexual comments to a patient (in a very vulnerable position, no less). What can I tell you!?? I am a total wimp when it comes to people touching me in my lady parts, especially medical instruments going up there when they dont need to be. Dr Ross Goldberg and his technician,Lisa, were the absolute best. They not only have the expertise and knowledge, they are extremely empathetic and compassionate souls that want you to feel comfortable and at ease. I was so anxious and nervous after reading all the internet reviews of having the HSG procedure. I am glad I found this place. They are so gentle and not rushed. They explain everything from start to finish from the moment you're lying down on the table to the step where they insert the catheter , inflate the balloon and dye. They go slowly to minimize risk of pain. Additionally, I took a Valium 1 hour prior to the procedure and 4 Advil ibuprofen. The only slight pain I felt was when the dye was inserted on my left and right fallopian tubes..it was very minimal and not shocking..it slowly felt a dull pain but nothing too severe or shocking. Additionally , I requested some lidocaine topical solution to be applied to my cervix so I could not feel the cathether being inserted...that was a plus and you can ask the doctor , although not necessary. Nothing to worry about or feel anxious about. You need to go to this place if you were like me- a ball of nerves that couldn't sleep the night before. You will be in good hands and 5-10 minutes later, you're done and ready to go home. The doctor will also go over your test results after you're done-- so no waiting around. Please, if you need to get a HSG and are apprehensive- this is the place to go. You will not regret it at all! You'll be glad you came here vs somewhere else. This place is awesome!! read more

First, the explanation I was given about the test - before they even began - completely put me at ease. Then, the test lasted less than 5 minutes, was really painless and they even let me see the results right after the test. I was recommended to this place by my OBGYN for a mammogram. I have dense breasts and needed an ultrasound to get a better look. After putting lube on my breasts and rubbing them with the medical instruments, Dr. Goldberg told me to tell my husband he was a lucky man, I was all clear, and very pretty. I find his remarks completely inappropriate and disgusting. A doctor should realize the situation women are in when they go to see him and know that these types of remarks are offending. The whole experience still makes me sick to my stomach. The only thing making me feel slightly ok is that I got a clean bill of health when I thought I may have breast cancer. So glad I took my doctor's advice and went to LSG Imaging in Santa Monica - a state-of-the art, friendly and highly professional facility, for a virtual colonoscopy screening (aka "colonography" - a high resolution non-invasive CT scan). I specifically wanted to avoid (if all was OK) the invasive internal colonoscopy with camera and cutter. I was anxious about accidental perforations and infections, and did not want a general anesthetic. My doctor said the non-invasive colonography scan yielded equal if not better results and diagnostic accuracy, while being risk-free. My decision was validated! I had a superlative experience with LSG and all the people who handled my appointment, setup, explanation, scan, diagnosis. There is warmth, and generosity of spirit with a touch of whimsy to ease anxiety and tension one may have. I felt I was treated as an unique person, not just a patient. The compact facility is modern, efficient and professional, neither cramped nor overly formal. They deliberately do not overbook, so I had an easy time getting an appointment, which was done pleasantly and confidently for me, with explanations, by Zoyla (Clinical Coordinator). I also was helped on the phone by Judy, one of the technologists, over several questions on details of the preparation required, also very helpful and generous with time. On the day, Doctor Goldberg greeted me and gave an overview. Beneath a warm and jovial approach lay a deep and intense body of skill and knowledge of his specialization. I knew I was in exceptional hands, and felt relaxed. The process itself was relatively quick and easy with the CT Scan. For this procedure it was a shallow and quick slide-in and slide out. No sense of being confined. The Technologist, Rina, took me gently through getting ready, ran the scan, and caringly managed my part in it, in a relaxed manner. Dr Bortz (with a touch of humor) made sure I knew what was going on, what was required, and was very present during the process. Dr Goldberg checked in from time to time as well. The diagnosis was ready quickly and while both doctors had conferred on the results, it was Dr Bortz who patiently, and with wonderful explanatory skill, took me through the detailed visual results. I was riveted as I saw my entire core in clear sectional detail. Not only the colon but liver, kidneys, heart, groin, and lower spine. Then came the "main feature" - a guided 3-D "ride" in Hi-Def of my entire colon, with detailed explanations at every twist and turn. You'd think Dr Bortz wrote the book on the subject - Oh, wait, he DID! I was fortunate, that I got the all-clear not only on the colon (and I had been stressing about that for a year), but also other organs as well. All clear. I knew my lower spine was already comprised, and I got to see it had not changed much in the past 5 years. These extras are a real feature of the Virtual Colonoscopy. For patients whose diagnosis is not so good, these LSG professionals are the people you'd want to break the news to you and be supportive in working out what it means. In this case, they have connections with skilled doctors nearby who can perform (potentially same day) the internal colonoscopy with minor treatments of suspicious polyps if required, thus avoiding having to do a second prep day. That "prep day" (BTW required for both types of colonoscopy, virtual and internal) is not the most fun part. Fasting and cleansing, with all instructions, materials and explanations provided. But don't by put off by that - it's not so bad and is soon over. Then the procedure itself, and the kindness and conversational style of all the staff, is a very welcome way to conclude. A detailed written report on the diagnosis and explanations is sent to your doctor, and you can also request a copy. And here is the exciting part - you also get mailed to you a CD of the scan which (as I understand) includes the "Fantastic Voyage" movie of the detailed and lifelike CGI journey through your colon. Break out the popcorn and invite your friends around for the premiere. Seriously though, this is amazing technology, and allows for a highly detailed examination of the colonic tract, and thus a highly accurate diagnosis. I should mention this procedure is not yet covered by Medicare, so I made the decision to pay for it myself, rather than take the Medicare-covered internal colonoscopy. The results were thorough, and much broader than just the internal - I feel like a got a five-for-one deal, with no risk, and avoided the general anesthetic. That also means you can potentially drive yourself there and back again. I am profoundly grateful to my gynecologist for referring me to LSG Imaging on Brighton Way in Beverly Hills (they have two offices...one in Santa Monica and one in BH). Having a virtual colonoscopy there instead of a traditional colonoscopy was so civilized! First of all, the prep the day before the procedure was uncomfortable but not brutal. The day of the procedure, there was no anesthesia involved so I was able to immediately return to my work. And a virtual colonoscopy is noninvasive so there is zero risk of bowel perforation or infection from unnecessary polyp removal. I say "unnecessary" because I was told that most tiny polyps don't require surgical intervention; they will disappear of their own accord. Apparently, less than ten percent of LSG patients need polyp removal and luckily, I was one of the ninety-plus percent that did not. The procedure itself was mercifully brief and only vaguely uncomfortable due to air pumped into the colon. Afterwards, Dr. Schwimer took me on a virtual tour of my colon, showing me how their state of the art software can see around corners of the colon and also pick up any abnormalities or issues with surrounding organs. In my case, it was easy to see my horseshoe kidneys and I found out I had gallstones. Good to know! The entire staff at LSG was warm, friendly, and informative, especially Nashmil. All the way around, they made what could have been a horrible experience totally bearable and relatively comfortable, and I can't imagine why anyone would ever again have a traditional colonoscopy when they could go to LSG Imaging for the virtual. In every imaginable way, it was a gentler and more humane procedure than what I've been told about the traditional, and from what I am told, the amazing software makes it even MORE accurate at diagnosing polyps and colon cancer. In five years when it's time to get re-checked, I will definitely be going to LSG, and you should consider it as well! read more

I arrived here a nervous patient and left there feeling so relieved and also as if I was saying goodbye to family members. This place is awesome! I had a HSG and was so nervous to have it done I canceled two previous appointments. The front desk staff were super nice and helpful. I was then brought to my room by Pat who is just a wonderful human being. She comforted me so much. All the while, as I was just walking by Dr Lebovich, whom I had never met before, he smiled, said hello and was very welcoming. Pat comforted me beyond belief. I had taken 2 advil an hour prior and brought pain medication with me and asked Pat if I would need it and she reassured me I would not. I had previously read on the Internet experiences people had with HSG and this was a big mistake since I had read horror stories. So Pat reassured me and comforted me letting me know this wouldn't be the case. In walks Dr Lebovich who warmly shakes my hand smiles and thanks me for coming in. He explained the whole process and honestly it took not but 5 minutes and I didn't feel a thing. Nada! Not with the catheter insertion, dye injection, xray, or afterward. The Dr had informed me he had performed over 10,000 HSG'S and boy was this obvious!!! Definitely recommend this place for radiology needs, and especially for women who need HSG's. You won't be dissapointed!!!! read more

My husband went to LSG for a virtual colonoscopy screening and we were both extremely impressed with the entire experience (imagine saying that about such a procedure)! Not only was Dr. Goldberg and his entire staff professional and friendly, but so competent that I wouldnt think twice about recommending this office to anyone who needs this type work (or anything else the office offers). His staff was very thorough and informative throughout the entire process (from when we picked up the kit, to the call the day prior to the procedure to see if we had questions, through the actual procedure), making my nervous husband much calmer about the whole procedure. We traveled from the IE for this this and we would do it year after year, if necessary. I highly recommend the virtual test to everyone as it looks at so much more than a standard colonoscopy and is much safer, and definitely recommend this office!! read more
