Since my insurance changed, I no longer have the convenience of getting something done in an office, then simply walking down the hall and getting the results within minutes. After having an appointment at a different facility, I was sent to Mink Radiology for the next step. When I called to make my appointment, I had a really helpful woman who said that her office didn't have any appointments until the 29th (which didn't work for me), however a sister location did have more availability. Thing is: her office validates parking, whereas the the latter did not. I decided on the location in Marina del Rey on Mindanao since I knew that I could park in the lot about a block or so away, and simply walk over to the office when the time came. Mary at the window was sweet, and their digital intake form was simple. The girl who helped me after was also wonderful; it's not the most comfortable procedure but she made it so much easier. Her name started with a 'B' (Brynn?) This whole experience took me less than 30 minutes, and I was on my way. My results were available in their portal about 24 hours after, and all I have to do is wait to hear from my doctor. Considering medical stuff is never fun, I'm glad I was able to have an easy time at Mink. read more

I want to send a special shout out to Sonia who not only helped untangle whatever little blip there was in my authorization for a yearly mammogram but was warm, friendly and assuring. Since I've got to be proactive about screenings, I needed a provider that I could trust. No other imaging center offers comprehensive AI screenings for a small additional fee... what peace of mind. I really don't understand how this place operates. After a car accident, the doctor at Urgent Care told me I needed an MRI, but this clinic has been 'waiting for authorization' for over 12 business days now. Every time I call, I either get no real answer or empty promises that go nowhere. I gave this clinic all the necessary documents and was told to wait for insurance authorization. To speed things up, I even called my insurance company myself -- and they said no request had ever been received. When I followed up with the clinic again, they blamed Urgent Care. I contacted Urgent Care directly, and they confirmed everything had already been sent. I even provided this clinic's fax number so they could resend it. Still, nothing happened. The clinic originally told me the process would take 5-10 business days. After 10 days, I was told to 'just keep waiting.' Now it's been 12 business days with zero progress, zero clear communication, and zero accountability. This delay has put my health at risk, forcing me to start physical therapy without the MRI results I was supposed to have. The lack of coordination and care is extremely frustrating and completely unprofessional. Honestly, it feels like they just don't care about their patients at all. read more

Obviously not a good situation when you have to go for imaging, but they were highly empathetic and took great care of me.

I used them about 2 years ago and this review is overdue. I'm writing this finally because i keep geting texts from them even after i reply STOP. I think it was Western Digital and got bought out. I was unable to get appoiintment confirmed or someone calling me to come in at the wrong time. And when i showed up, they admonished me for showing up at the wrong time. And they would not pick up the phone. Fine i got over the stupid scheduling problem on their part. Approx a year later i kept getting messages from a collection agency and i thought it was a scam because i don't have any unpaid items and always have perfect credit. I thought it was just a scam. I checked all my bills and credit reports and nothing. Somehow after all the annoying calls, I answered their call finally and they told me they were collecting for MInk/Rad. And i was like what? So i called Mink and they figured out that they sent me a bill to the wrong address but i would have the pay the collection agency. So i just paid the collection agency plus $20 fee. I called back Mink and they said oh you should not have paid the collection agency. We would have recalled it. Well hello the other customer service told me to pay the collection agency. The whole thing was a mess. And they were supposed to look into it and contacdt me as on principle i want the $20 back and an apology. They took so long and I never heard the final result. I ddin't want to deal with them any more and no longer wanted to waste my time with them anymore which was more than $20. This year my Dr. again referred me to them. I refusee to go to them eventhoug hthey're 15 min away and they keep texting me about my mammo being due. I have replied STOP and it stopped for awhile and the texts started again. I will not ever use them again. They had the right address on my referral documents and somehow so incompetent, sent the bill to the wrong address. Maybe i could have checked my insurance claim to make sure i didnt' owe anything but it doesn't excuse them from their incompetence all around from scheduling and messing the bill and sending me to collection! read more

Called upwards of 5-10 times after being referred by my primary care physician for an ultrasound to check for gallstones. It didn't matter what day of the week, or what time of day I called -- my call was automatically routed to a call center that could do nothing else but take my name & phone number and pass on my message for the actual office to call me. After doing this several times & not receiving a call back to simply schedule an appointment, I was instead responded back with attitude & no help whatsoever when I expressed my frustration in the difficulty I was experiencing just trying to schedule a routine appointment! Not once was my call returned, I was never able to actually speak with the facility & I have no way of knowing if my messages for a callback were even passed along. Since mink has new owners, the care has gone down hill. Not only is my Dr' complaining about the time it takes to get records and CD's of imaging but the staff is unprofessional too. I arrived for an appointment. (20 years I've used their services) and I was turned away because I was 5 mins late. The front office said I was later than that. But showed the manager my parking stamp that clearly showed I was within the 15 minute grace period. Then the manager told me that that didn't have a tech. That she went home early. I'm looking for a new place for my services after 20 years! Proceed with caution. read more

As others have mentioned, scheduling is a nightmare. I called with an urgent xray request on a Saturday afternoon and was assured if I didn't hear back by the end of the day, I'd get a call Monday morning for a same day appointment. Wednesday afternoon I finally got a call. If you need an X-ray scheduled quickly, Mink is not the place for you. read more

They have really gone downhill. Needed to reschedule an appointment so called several times and as others stated routes to a answering service that took my info and never called back. Last year I needed an X-ray on my foot so I called to schedule and they said I had to do it at Admiralty location since they needed a specific machine. I get there for my appointment and they said no you need to do that at Mindanao location. So I left and went to reschedule and they kept telling me I had to book with Admiralty location and I said no I don't I already went there. Took forever to get it sorted. Now here I am a week and a half after my mammogram at my dr office and they never received the report. I used Mink for years. I will never use them again. There is a major issue with this center, I really think it should be investigated, I will do anything to make the owners provide me detailed report of what happened to me on 03/29/2024 Friday, during my CT procedure which is involved rariation to find out if i have a blockage. I screamed and screamed during the procedure, and later, I found out the comms were cut off. The technician was trying to find out the issue with CT machine. She was calling someone. This procedure involves radiation .... when I questioned her, she told me she was panicking, but she was monitoring my condition, I questioned, "Did you hear me screaming?" She said sorry I did not i had the coom turned off. I am so upset at this time that I wanted to make sure others are aware of how bad this center is I had to calm myself so I won't have a hearth attach at my age. read more

The front desk folks are great, got checked in no problem... But the tech that was on duty that day, though very nice and polite, was not up to par with Western Imaging techs and their skill set, that I experienced in the past.. This was the longest and most painful mammogram I have had in 30 years!. She kept fumbling around, asking me if I wanted to reschedule several times, and claimed this was the new machine so she wasn't sure why there was no picture on the screen...but I was told the machines last year were new, so who knows... So then we moved to a different room as she re did the exam and over several attempts on each side which was extremely painful, she finally completed the exam.. Went in for a lower back MRI. The entrance to the facility is a bit narrow and not entirely obvious so keep an eye out. Mink is located on the first floor and to the left of the reception/security desk. It's a decent walk to the office which is at the very end of the hallway. Signs to the office are clear and visible. We found good parking close to the building leaving about a 400ft walk to the front door. You'll do that distance again to the office door. During busier times I would expect a longer walk from the car unless you get dropped off. Once inside, you'll have paperwork, of course, and some will complete this on an iPad. The person who greeted me explained the tablet very well. I noticed that another receptionist was not as clear. These little things matter when you're in pain and stressed. They were 1/2 late for my appointment. I appreciated that reception called back, without my prodding, to check on my wait time and update me. To me it's not about having everything on time, all the time. What's more important is how the staff handles it when things get off track. I'm not sure what they would've done if I was uncomfortable but at least they were thoughtful enough to ask. MRI was routine. Tech was polite and business like but, overall, pleasant. It was clear he was busy and just getting through the day. It's a tough job given the discomfort and anxiety that people can have in these situations. The parking validation worked fine. It's all automatic when you leave. You first scan the validation then you are prompted to scan the time of entry. Two scans. Then you're off. Good luck to you! read more

I needed to get a copy of my scan over to another doctor. When I first called, I was told I could have it mailed to me and get it in a few days or drive to the Marina Del Rey location. I wanted to get this handled asap and I called back to say that I would pick it up instead of getting it mailed. Navda offered to email it to me, which was extremely helpful, since I live an hour away. I have chronic fatigue, so that means I would have had to drive an hour there, rest, an hour back, rest again for a while, then go my doctor's appointment on the east side, so she saved my whole morning. Horrible experience with scheduling. They called my voicemail and let me know they were (erroneously) cancelling my appointment with two days notice. I called back six times to try to reach the front desk, and they don't answer the phone. I called back to reschedule and they couldn't get me in for two months. read more

I couldn't be happier. I was referred by Cedars, so I thought they were Cedars-related & even tho' I had google mapped, when I got off the Marina Fwy & saw the big Cedars building on Mindanao & that they had parking, I pulled in. (You ever noticed how many buildings in LA do NOT have addresses on them?) Whoops, called to check in - at # posted right in front of every car -- & found out No, I was at the wrong location. Actually in UCLA building about 2 blocks away. Called them to say, I would've been early, but I was in the wrong place, but could be there in a couple of minutes. Not only did they say, No Problem, they also told me I could park in the Shopping center parking lot -- across the street & not $2/15 mins. I did have to spend a few minutes checking in on a tablet that couldn't dot the 'i's in my signature, but Anthony & Oscar in the office could not have been more helpful. The Tech was also a very reassuring & the procedure itself -- in this case, a CT scan - Zippy. I'd like to say under 5 mins, but who hasn't lost sense of time these days. But it was definitely less than 10. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of the awesome front desk ladies (Alma and Gloria) and my amazing ultrasound tech (I'm soooo sorry I forgot her name). I've been going through the no so fun journey of IVF for the past two years and have visited MANY imaging centers the Los Angeles area. Mink Radiology of Marina has been by far my favorite place for the following reasons: (1) TIME! I've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes from arrival to checkin for my ultrasounds. There were many times where I had to come on my lunch break and was pressed for time and NEVER had to wait. There was another center in Santa Monica and I waited over 2 hours. And yes, I had an appointment. Even with covid-19, they are spectacular with their pre-check in process and time is never a factor. (2) Did i mention that those ladies at the front desk are amazing! Both Gloria and Alma always greeted me with open arms and by name to which I was sincerely appreciative of. It's always the little things. Towards the end of my cycle I began to open up to them and tell them about my infertility struggle and disappointments. They always offered words of encouragement and even prayers. I told them that I may never see them again because my body was physically tired! Tired of all the hormones, meds, and ultrasounds. I needed about 4-5 ultrasounds/month if not more.. which leads me to #3. (3) Forgive me because I should know her name! But my ultrasound tech was the most sweetest and patient with me EACH AND EVERY TIME. I felt so comfortable with her and she was always gentle with my exam. We knew each other so well that she would remember the date of my last mensural cycle. (I know, TMI). Not to mention she decorates the office so cute during the holidays! (4) Stat means stat, right? With Mink Radiology, the results were always faxed within 2 hours of exam time to my doctor who was out of state. I can't forget to thank the office manager who also helped helped me out after she knew the struggle of what I was going through. I think Mink Radiology is a great diagnostic center with awesome staff. I never met the radiologist but Im sure he/she is wonderful as well. And oh yeah, IM PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!! I couldn't have done it without mink. I truly believe this! read more

You can't communicate with any of the doctors reading the tests, their website contains a lot of an accurate data regarding their hours, when an X-ray or Dexa is inaccurate there is no way to get it addressed. You can't upload data for comparison to their website. Numerous times I have been promised a Callback that never comes. read more

Would literally give this place zero stars if I could. I asked my results to be sent to my doctor, the expected norm in this "industry", on Feb 3rd. Feb 20th - my doc still did not have the results. After multiple calls, one person told me they don't send those out. After inquiring, why I was told that they would, she quickly changed tone and asked if I was talking about the MDR office. When I said yes, she transferred me. The guy I spoke couldn't even guarantee that this would be sent out because the person who does this is not there. Mind you, this entire time I'm dealing with near paralysis of a limb. The results of the tests were supposed to help determine the next course of action. I've dealt with my share of poor communication and incompetence at work but no one is going to die or be permanently disabled because a deliverable is not met. I would expect an outpatient services office to be organized and ready to deliver accurate results in a timely manner, not putz around until someone micromanages them to deliver expected outcomes. The attendant Alma was very rude when I arrived 8:10am for and a 8am appointment. She said I was 30 min late because I was supposed to be there 7:45am. I said sorry I didn't know and she still mean. She said I will have to wait but there was no patient there. I said no problem I can wait cause I have a 9am appointment anyway. She cut me off saying rude that it was my fault because I got late, but I wasn't complying about the wait. So, I got mad and talked back no accepting the way she was talking to me. I got late because I have a son that I had to take to school and I told them that when I made the appointment. Alma is her name and she should be trained better. Don't forget you're a clinic and always make people wait. You're guys are always late. Don't disrespect a patient with pain waiting to do a mri just to feed you ego. Mr. Paul did my MRI quick and deserves a 5 stars, but Alma messed it up! I got very stress early morning because of this Alma! read more

I requested copies and records yesterday regarding a recent x-ray that I had. Alma completed the request and my records were available for pickup the following morning as promised. While I was waiting, Mary was courteous and helpful. These days It's rare when visiting a medical facility that you're treated with the kindness and professionalism that Alma and Mary extend. I hate to leave bad reviews, but this is one of those situations where I don't know what to do. I had imaging done here on June 4th. The report has not yet been sent to my doctor. My doctor called after 7 business days (9 if you consider that they're open Saturdays). Mink MDR said my doctor would have it by last Friday or worst case this Tuesday. It's now Thursday (12-14 business days later) and the central phone system folks confirmed this morning it's still not done, even after telling me yesterday it would be done end of day. They've tried to connect me directly to the front desk here and I just get sent to voicemail. Of course no return call from the voicemail I left. I tried the text service and was ghosted after asking when I would get the report. Someone mentioned technical difficulties a couple of days ago. I agree with another reviewer that this place needs to be investigated - what is going on here? I hope this review doesn't affect the quality of my report, but I already have concerns about that as it is given my experience here. read more

Having something wrong in your body that leads you to an imaging center can be daunting. When I got to mink radiology imaging I was greeted with kindness and a gentle, positive vibe from the entire staff. This eased my anxiety immensely. I had a great conversation with Alma and Thelma in the front. They were thorough and thoughtful with my paperwork and insurance. Once they took me back for testing every face I saw had a smile and a cheerful energy. Having had so many Imaging experiences I was impressed and felt uplifted with this experience. As the scanning began the imaging specialist was informative and quick. I did not suffer any claustrophobia or extended anxiety. Even the fact that I was there for a very serious release reason slipped away for the time being. I asked for a discs to take with me and I was provided them with a smile. I highly recommend the Mink Radiologic Imaging facility. Whether it's your first imaging session or your 50th, I know that you will find this experience to be professional, uplifting and reassuring. Doctor visit are never fun, especially when finding out you have a fractured foot, but the team at Mink made the visit as pleasurable as possible. Alma and Gloria were both FANTASTIC! They saw me struggling on crutches and Gloria quickly offered a wheel chair since I was going back and forth to different floors/offices for X-Rays. She insisted on not only wheeling me back and forth from the various floors, but even took me out to my car when I was done. Mink provides extraordinary service. I have used this location on two occasions and the staff is extremely helpful. I was taken promptly and everyone was a pleasure to work with. Recently I needed copies of prior images. Some of the images were of older procedures. I called the office and spoke to Oscar. He was wonderful. I explained that I needed the images ASAP. Oscar was very reassuring and said no problem. He was able to find the tests and sent new disks to me immediately ! I can't thank him enough. Mink truly takes great care of their clients. read more

Going to Mink Radiology in Marina Del Rey is so easy. There is plenty of parking in the lot, the staff are really friendly and take time to be personable. I would rather go to this radiology place than some of the other ones I've gone to before. My doctors receive the reports in a timely manner. They typically are done within 12 hours or by the next business day (depending on when you get your scans). I would definitely recommend Mink Radiology Marina Del Rey to any one who wants an easy, welcoming and comforting experience. read more

I went to Mink for an MRI of my lower back and my experience was great. I was a little nervous at first but Alma at the front desk was so friendly and put me at ease. She helped me check in and I was quickly taken to the back lounge. I waited a short time then went to the MRI machine where the technician made sure I was comfortable and gave me music to listen to while the machine did its work. In no time I was done and checked out. Piece of cake. I highly recommend Mink as the staff was really nice and the facility was clean and comfortable. read more
