My first time getting a Russian Gel Manicure and Pedicure. Wow! Another reviewer was right, once you go Russian, you'll never go back! This is my daughters go to salon, and now it's mine too. This is the Best manicure and pedicure I've ever received, and I'm in the business. I had Kristina and Katya, my daughter went to Moshi and Katya, they are the most meticulous ladies I've ever been to for my fingers and toes. Russian manicures/pedicures are completely different then the basic nail salons we are used to in Thousand Oaks. They are waterless, and the time is spent getting your nail beds and cuticles in order, filing your nails to their perfect shape, and making sure the gel is applied and cured to perfection. If you are looking for custom, hand painted art on your nails, Moshi is your go to, be sure to check out her designs, or bring one in for her to replicate better than the original. Liliia has an amazing salon with real Russian Manicures/Pedicures, she told us the best benefit of a real Russian Manicure/Pedicure is the time savings, you only need to come in once a month to get your fingers and toes done, not every two weeks. Honestly I've only been here twice.. & I have to say I wouldn't come back.. the place is overpriced & the work is not reflected in the price.. I'm upset the bottom of my feet are super dry/cracking!! I've never had this issue before coming here. They're pedicures are very different from your typical American pedicure. No soaking & they use a machine underneath the feet which I don't mind but my feet have never looked like this... & I believe it's due to the machine used.. I'm very upset with the results... I also feel the cuticles are cut too low where I've been cut & my cuticle bled.. There is definitely a positive that's why i provided 3 stars.. my poly gel extensions literally lasted 3 weeks which is the longest I've had nails last & that was great! I wish this company the best & hope they use this review as positive honest criticism to do better.. because the price should reflect the work. read more

Follow-up to original review. I had to drop a star because a nail tore a week after application. They said they could fix it, and made me a 12:00 appointment. I mispaced my key and it took me a few extra minutes to find it. I called to tell them I would be there by 12:15. I was told that it was ok, so I drove from Oxnard to Thousand Oaks. There was a traffic issue, and I got there at 12:17. They said they could not accommodate me. Gas isn't cheap and the nail should not have broken so soon, so I was disappointed. I would still recommend this salon, but only to those who live in the area. read more

I've lived here for less than three years. I've been to many nail salons and wound up here with no idea what a Russian 'cure is. I really enjoy this place. I've been here several times. At first, I had both mani and pedi here - plain, single-color gel for both - but when I wound up paying well over $200 for the services, and hefty tip on top of that, I decided to get my manis here and pedis elsewhere. What I like is that my disaster-zone cuticles look so good after I've been here. The techs spend more than 50% of their time and energy on cuticles, unlike some salons that charge extra for cuticle care and you're lucky if they spend ten minutes carving them up. That's why this is a DRY process. The only thing I'd change is that the gel they use is thick and the "clear" I like on my manis has a whitish cast to it. I prefer a thinner product and a true clear or natural, not a semi-opaque white "clear." They have a jillion colors to choose from but I always have a hard time finding what I want. Hence four stars instead of five. Appointments are easy - I never have to wait more than a couple of days. Both the owner and the techs are Russian. Some of them know just enough English to communicate about what you want. Others chatter away in English. One of them doesn't know the difference between "shorter" and "short." I came in with my nails way too long and asked her to shape them into rounded ovals. Before I knew what she was doing, she'd cut them off down to the quick. It took months for them to grow out, during which time I didn't have manis. Next time I'll bring a photograph! read more

They DO NOT accept walk ins. They should really take that down. It seems to be posted as a ploy to get you in there, to put you on the schedule for the following day. Not having prices posted so that you can charge on an individual basis seems sketchy, too. But yes, it's better work than the corner nail shop. read more

This place is a gem, I used to get terrible cheap mani pedis everyone is used to and the gel would peel off within a week. LS nails costs a bit more per sitting but but only needing to get my nails done once a month instead of every 2 weeks evens it out in my opinion. I also appreciate just how sterile their tools are, knowing clean, sanitary tools are being used Is a great comfort. Plus you can't beat the quality, my nails have never looked or felt better after getting damaged for years from the other places. I miraculously found this nail salon after looking on Yelp and liked that I read they don't do acrylics. I had been getting acrylics on for years. My nails were so thin and damaged I didn't think I really had a choice if I wanted my nails to look nice. I was wrong! I called the salon and told them about my nails. The day prior one of my acrylics was coming off and it was ripping my nail bed underneath. It was so painful and I wanted them off, thinking I'd just live with ugly nails until they were healthy again. Again, wrong! They got me in that day. When I got to the salon they asked if they could get me coffee tea or water. The appointment I booked was on time. The technician who did my nails was so careful I barely felt any discomfort when getting the hurtful nail removed and it was not easy for her! It took a long time because she was being so careful and I appreciated her patience because I was afraid of how bad it hurt. She educated me in a friendly way about the benefit gel would have on my nails and I of course agreed, you can tell they are knowledgeable and not just looking for more $. In the end, my nails came out so much better than I ever thought they could after acrylic damaged them so much. So thankful for salons like this! Can't wait for my next manicure read more

This is by FAR the best manicure experience I've ever had. My nails were really rough after trying press-ons for months and going to a salon that wasn't as good - I was at LS for two hours because they took the time to really study my nails, make sure everything was perfect, apply strengthening treatment on the ones that needed it (which I think made a huge difference when I came back a month later since I didn't need the treatment again). My nails looked incredible, felt great, lasted five weeks, and all for the price of what places around the corner charge. I don't get art but I would go here for that too. The professionals here really care about what they do and making sure their clients' nails stay as healthy as possible. 11/10 would recommend.. read more

Yes, they are more expensive but you're not paying for chop shop nails - these nails will last you a month+ and look flawless until you're ready to get your nails done again. Russian manicures also focus heavily on cleanliness of the cuticle, something you won't ever get for a $30 manicure. You're going to sit in a chair for an hour and a half, maybe longer if exgensions + art, but your nails will NEVER look better. Lili is also a downright artist, so if you want art, this js where you go. Also, let's destigmatize paying slave wages for manicures. It's downright classist to think a manicure should be cheap. My nails have never looked better. Seriously the detail and quality are far superior than any manicure and pedicure I've had. They don't use water, so don't expect a foot soak. However, they use tools for rough parts of your feet, which I actually like more. They use precision when doing nails. I got regular manicure and gel pedicure which ended in being $190. I'm not sure why, but I also didn't ask about prices so that's my bad. However, the quality, precision, service, and cleanliness is really on point. If I get the spare change to spend I will be back, but the price might keep me from going back for a while. I can't stop staring at my nails though. read more
