The Pima County School Superintendents office has a wonderful program, The Stemazing Project. This…read moreproject holds workshops that are for Pre-K through 8th grade. The workshops are put on through the Superintendents office in conjunction with the Stemazing coordinator and other community members. The workshops are informative and provide teachers with resources they can immediately implement in their classrooms. The best part, everything is always done on a budget that can easily be implemented in the classroom. This is the second year for the Stemazing Teacher Leader program. This program allows teachers to plan workshops, improve their leadership skills, and become a more effective teacher. This program also allows teachers to come together and support one another through project based learning. This program is extremely valuable to Tucson. In addition, each time I come to the superintendents office, I can find up to date information about school events and the community. The center has a variety of resources for teachers and others who are interested or involved in education in Pima County. The staff is also very responsive and helpful.

The facility itself is laid out well--keeping the little ones separate from the older ones. This is a nice set up because I didn't have to worry about my little one getting hurt by one of the older kids by accident. When I took my child that was clingy to me at drop off (he was so use to being home with me for first few years of his life--he had hard time adjusting to being elsewhere) the front desk girl was AMAZING! He quickly attached to this girl as she was able to get him distracted--soon, the tears became a thing of the past at drop off time! Every teacher each one of my kids had there were outstanding! Patient, caring, and fun! They made sure each and every child felt appreciated and loved while in their care. The owners of this location are easily approachable if you have questions, concerns, compliments or just simply want to check in. The school communicates very well with the parents. The kids are kept busy from the time they get there till the time they leave. The teachers have a clear planned schedule so the families always know what is happening that week. The teachers are all trained, have CPR/First Aid card, and background checks. I have tried many different daycares over the years--this one --hands down--is the only one I would recommend!

As a parent avoid this school…read more The school is filled with dishonest, disloyal and two faced staff. The principal is more interested in his toys and dressing up then doing any real work. Often leaves early avoids confrontation by hiding or delegating then taking responsibility. The admin staff is filled with nepotism and cliques that talk behind parents backs whenever an issue with a student comes up. The after school Kid co. Is a mess. Students left unattended and unsupervised often. The only good thing about this school is the teachers and even they are leaving in mass.

I took my studies very seriously and spent the entirety…read moreof my enrollment on the Deans List, however the challenges of dealing with grown adults, both students and staff, exhibiting the most severe unprofessionalism I have ever encountered, definitely put a damper on the experience of Carrington college. I endured this, however. I completed my studies at Carrington and went on to deal with a very difficult externship. I was so excited to graduate and walk across the stage. When that day came, I found myself in the hospital after a horrible accident. I reached out to the staff at Carrington and asked them if I could please be given the opportunity to participate in a later graduation ceremony, so I could still walk across the stage and celebrate all the hard work I had put in and endured. I was told that I would hear from Kathy Bailey about participating in the next graduation ceremony. I never heard from her. It has been 10 months. Ive already accepted the fact that I will not be getting a graduation. The robes that I purchased with my own hard earned money are collecting dust and will never be worn. This is my own experience at carrington. I strongly encourage any student seeking to further their education to look elsewhere. Don't waste your time and your energy.
