We had a wonderful lunch at Latin Quarters. The service was very attentive and friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious. They even brought out a complimentary chicken soup that was so flavorful. The chicharrón de pollo, Caesar salad, and plantains were all excellent as well. I loved the outdoor seating, and they also offer a great happy hour and a solid menu. I'll definitely be back!

$3 margaritas, amazing food, great service with a smile and relaxing ambiance. What more could you ask for? I'm in town for work and so happy I stumbled upon this spot.

We went to LQ off of a recommendation from a family friend. Mofongo is one of my favorite dishes and I was really looking forward to it. We entered and were immediately greeted by the hostess/manager and seated in the bar area. Our server came over about 5 minutes later and took our drink/appetizer order. Although we were sitting in the bar area, it took about 15 minutes to get 2 bottles of beer and 2 Mojitos in an unpacked restaurant. The waiter realized the timely wait and apologized when he returned. The one thing that was weird was that one of the gentlemen setting up for the live music actually stopped to hit on one of our female guests. After about 5 minutes the manager actually came over to him and laughingly said please stop harassing my guests. The arrival of the food was my favorite. I had Lechon Mofongo (pork) and it was delicious!! It was everything I expected it to be. The pork chops were a little over cooked probably because they were so thin. The Churasco Mofongo was good but the meat itself wasn't very tasty. The mixed drinks were well worth the price. Very well made with plenty of alcohol. By the time we left, all of the tables were packed to include the bar. I look forward to going again in a few months.

The restaurant is pretty big with a lot of seating areas and bar area. The service was fast and pleasant. We got our food pretty quick and everything was delicious. I ordered the fried chicken chunk mofungo with arroz con gandules and maduros. It was all really good. The mofungo was flavorful and wasn't dried out. I will come again if I'm in the area.

LQ on Main is the best place to get authentic Latin food. Their service is outstanding and I have never once had a bad meal. Every single meal I have had has been phenomenal. Highly recommend

This place was great. The Pasteles were really authentic, the red beans tasted like made in the country, and the mofongo was out of this world. We ordered el Plato Típico de Navidad (a HUGE plate suitable for sharing) and a mofongo with pork. We also ordered a churrasco with rice , beans and yuca frita. For appetizers we ordered a bacalaito, alcapurria de masa y alcapurria de yuca. All three were really good. We ordered a coconut mojito that was delicious!!! The only thing we weren't crazy about was the key lime pie (served us right-who orders key lime pie at a Puerto Rican restaurant?!) Overall we ordered 3 appetizers, two main plates, two alcoholic drinks and three non alcoholic drinks and the bill was $207 without tip.

Excelente el lugar deliciosa la comida .Jesus nos atendió como reinas , conoce de su menú y cómo hacer su trabajo . Muy agradable que se comporto Jesús con nosotras .

We were visiting Sarasota and stopped in to grab some late dinner to go. (Para Levar... my tiny bit of Spanish!). Luckily, my partner is fluent and it helps a lot whenever my Español es muy mal. We checked out the reviews and as a long time Yelper my experience told me that some of the bad reviews were not something we would worry about. It's really interesting considering the place is really authentic. Everything we had was delicious. The only tiny thing I would change is a little less garlic in the mojo on the boiled yuca but that's a personal preference and most people would probably love it! I'd ask for it on the side next time. They have a special lunch and dinner every day and I got the special for $9.99. Picadillo with 2 sides (I got boiled yuca and black beans). I added some maduros. My partner got pork chops with 3 sides. Salad, morro rice, and maduros. He also got a tamarind juice which is one of his favorites. While we waited they brought us both a cup of homemade chicken soup. It was delicious. The vibe is so Latin and that's a compliment. I could feel the love and felt so welcome. It was like hanging out at a family party with yummy food. They had karaoke with everyone singing Latin tunes. I barely understood a word but loved it and they had some really good vocalists! The food was delicious! We couldn't finish it all. I had lots of green olives in my picadillo! If we lived in this area we would be eating here every week or several times a week! I only passed on the Mofongo because I was worried I'd fill up fast and didn't want to waste so much food. If I were here a few more days, I'd be going back to try it. If I come back to Sarasota, I'm adding them to my must visit list! Thank you Latin Quarters' staff and the fun patrons for helping make my last night in Sarasota a lovely one!

I've gone to more expensive restaurants and the food was not as tasty as this. We had the Sancocho, Pastelon, Bistec encebollado, the Canoa as appetizer. They bring you plantain chips and a cup of soup to start your meal. That soup was so amazing and unexpected. What can I say, the food was so good, the wait staff was so nice.... Will definitely be back!

I can tell you with great certainty that the quality of service and food will have c222 hanging around until at least circa 2222 long after I am gone. I passed through one late Sunday evening. Was not sure what time they closed. Apparently it was about 8pm on a Sunday and I arrived 5min past. As kind as could be they fired up the grill again to whip me up some of the best Puerto Rican food I have ever had. Disclaimer: I have never been to Puerto Rico, but I now have been to the best Puerto Rican food truck. The cook came out truck side to give me a run of the menu providing excellent insight. After much deliberation I landed on the Mofongo, La Canoa, and a virgin Lavender Margarita. Fortunately I intended to share these plates because the portions was massive, but even larger were the flavors. Mofongo is a classic and a special of the day, but for those who do not know La Canoa is a local dish featuring a baked sweet plantain base stuff full of picadillo de carne, spiced cheese and salad. A combination of flavors completely new to what I had considered to be my experienced palate. These dishes enrolled me in school, drove me to the bus stop, picked me up later that afternoon, and even helped me with my homework they were so good. Sweet meets savory. Soft meets crisp. Daniel meets heaven. The Lavender Margarita likewise was entirely new and the only thing it was missing was tequila which I quickly found on my shelf to take an already incredible variation on a traditional beverage to the next level. I need to hammer down their hours, but had at least tried to provide you all with a view of their menu in addition to a laundry list of reasons to go check this place out!
