I had the chili relleno and it was the best I ever had, it was lightly fried, stuffed full of mozzarella cheese and covered in light verde sauce. The tableside quacomole was so fresh full of tomato's, onion, light jalepenos, lime and cilantro. Fresh chips and all so so good. Service was very friendly and attentive. Like most new places in the area, this place has been filled up and hard to get into... here's a tip go for a late lunch. I've been able to go up and get bar seating twice and there was table available both times. The bar area is decorated beautifully with a tree in the center and lights all around it. The bartenders and weight staff are there quickly deliver complementary chips and salsa and the salsa is excellent must be homemade and you can taste the fresh cilantro. The lunch menu is good until 3 o'clock and has many specials for around $10. The food is fresh tasting flavorful and delivered quickly. This place is a true gem of a restaurant and all the bartenders seem like they have a great personality. I'll definitely be back probably quite often. We tried to go on Friday night; was told wait was an hour and a half. Went instead on Saturday afternoon about 2:00; place was full and was told about 25 minutes. We accepted a table outside full sun because it was " first available " and it was quite windy, which kept us from roasting. Got chips and salsa immediately. Both kinda of bland honestly. Our servant was Morgan, and we'd definitely request her again. She made ordering easy and fun, and her recommendation for how I like my margarita was spot on. I ordered a burrito-small with no sides--and I was able to eat half. Hubby got a meal of 4 enchiladas with sides of rice and beans. He was able to easy maybe half and got uncomfortably full. Bonus for me- I didn't have to make dinner that night! The place itself is quite pretty, but small. Eating outside was perfect for us as inside and especially the bar was very loud. Tried this new place for the first time. The restaurant was very busy, even at 3:30 on a weekday. We waited only about 5 min fir a seat. The place has been decorated beautifully and it has a nice feel. The menu is pretty diverse with a lot to offer... including a happy hour. I had the street tacos and mixed and matched ( Carne/carnitas/ Chorizo) they were very good with the onions and cilantro. I wasn't a big fan of the chips/ salsa... the salsa was very bland almost like a tomato soup ( others I was with thought it was fine) All and all, a very good experience... very good service. We went to this location this past Sunday at 4pm thinking we might beet the crowd, but we were mistaken they were very busy. We waited 35 minutes to be seated but by the time I was finished with my meal I realized it was worth the wait. The server was helpful and friendly. The ambiance was what one would look for in a Mexican restaurant. We ordered the rice and beans, cheesy rice, beef burrito, hard shell tacos, chicken enchilada, chile relano, and churros for dessert. The beef burrito and taco were really good the beef was tender and seasoned just rite, the chicken enchilada was ok slightly dry, the chile relano was good, the refried beans in my opinion were awesome (smooth & creamy), the cheesy rice was really good and something to remember, the churros were pretty decent with no complaints. Enjoyed dinner last night at this new & popular place. It features outdoor dining & a bar that is partially outside. I dined in one of the booths as it was stormy out. The chips & salsa were immediately placed on the table. Salsa has 0 spice or flavor - a disappointment. They offer HH drinks at the table - that's a plus! I had 2 street tacos - 1 carnitas - very good & 1 steak taco that was dried out. Extra onions & cilantro are $0.99. My 2 friends each got a chicken taco salad which looked good. They enjoyed their margaritas. Margaritas are not made with sour mix but instead they use Sprite. As I dislike soda, I had straight tequila instead. This was out first time to visit and we chose lunch time! The area has built up quickly and parking is at a premium it once we found a spot we went in and didn't have a wait since we chose to eat outside. Our server was attentive and took our drink orders. They brought chips and salsa over for the table. They have a great lunch menu and the prices are reasonable. I got the taco salad with ground beef and it was delicious! My one friend got a burrito with rice and beans. You are charged $2 if you want queso on your burrito. A small side of queso for your chips is $5. They watched and had our refills on the table when we finished the current one. They pay the bill at the table which I prefer due to security for my card. The interior design is amazing and vibrant! We just tried this new Mexican restaurant in the area for lunch and were highly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was great -- the music and overall environment made it such an enjoyable experience. We started with the homemade guacamole and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely a 10/10. The chips were also incredible -- super fresh, not oily, not stale, just perfect. Another 10/10. Their salsa was also so flavorful and paired perfectly with everything. For my meal, I ordered the steak with shrimp, and it was amazing. Everything was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rice was also really delicious and complemented the dish so well. My husband ordered the lunch special taco salad, and he really enjoyed it too. Had a great experience at Aqua Tequila Mexican Restaurant! I ordered the Mexican street tacos with carnitas and, while I'm not an expert on what authentic street tacos should be, they tasted amazing to me. The drinks were also a highlight, the Mango Chile mojito is a must try if you like a little spice and the Corona-Rita was really good too. We even ended up buying the cute cup that comes with the Paloma drink (no regrets). Our server was honestly the star of the experience. I wish I remembered his name, but he did an amazing job! We tried fajita nachos, tacos and enchiladas at our table and we thought most everything was ok but also very bland. The steak street tacos were our best order. For ambiance, it is loud in the middle of the restaurant, I'd recommend the patio. We think they forgot to build in some acoustics. Having been to a lot of the Bradenton area Mexican restaurants - this one is going to need to step it up quite a bit! We were really excited to try this place, especially since its sister restaurant had been a great experience for us. Unfortunately, this one didn't quite live up to those expectations. On the positive side, the service was excellent. friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The ambiance is also a big win. The space feels thoughtfully designed and creates a really enjoyable atmosphere. Where things fell short for us was the food. Nearly everything we tried was overly salty, to the point that it overpowered the flavors rather than enhancing them. Beyond that, the dishes just didn't have much depth or standout taste. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't memorable in a good way either. We really wanted to love this place, and maybe it was an off night, but based on this visit, the food just didn't match the quality of the service or the setting. We stopped here during a quick shopping trip and sat at our favorite place - the bar. Drinks were good but the service definitely requires more attention. We ordered drinks, got some chips and salsa and put in our order for lunch once we finished that first drink. It took our meals over 45 minutes (from the time we ordered them) to get to us. Meanwhile, there were multiple parties that came in and ordered and received their meal prior to us (we ordered nothing special). At least 3 bartenders during that time checked on our food and each time we were told it would be just a few minutes. Finally, I got the bar manager's (Gian) attention who walked into the kitchen to come out and blame the kitchen "systems" and told us it would be another 10 minutes. By this time I was on my 4th drink and starving. But we were at the bar and there were multiple bartenders who stopped and asked about our food before anything got done. Our meals took just shy of one hour to get to us from the time we ordered them. As a bar manager, I would have expected Gian to take some responsibility but he just deferred to the staff and systems in the kitchen (who couldn't see that we had been sitting there for so long waiting like he and his staff could). Gian had this "oh well" attitude about it as if he was doing us a favor by getting the kitchen to actually produce our food. He took no responsibility and comp'd us 10% of the cost of the meals only. I never go out looking for a free or discounted meal. But I do like having food with my drinks and a little less attitude if something is wrong. read more

Always an extensive wait time. Food orders come out wrong. Food ordered comes out at different times, then still isn't what you ordered. Drinks are a bit unreasonably priced. They have a whole list of excuses for everything being messed up. But still expect to be paid in full. Owner should be more hands on. Waited for a seat, roughly 45 minutes. That wasn't the issue. They told us how long and we were excited to try it so we stayed. Once we did sit, we ordered drinks and guac. Guac took a noticeably long time to come table-side. We had ordered. For the next 35 minutes, were told the kitchen was having problems with an order outside and our order would be out shortly. Then we were told the food was taken to the wrong table. Then we were told the internet was bad. All the while, tables that sat after us were all getting their food and eating and leaving. After about 50 minutes from the time we ordered meals, they brought out one part of one meal (fajitas but no tortillas, no guac, no lettuce no cheese, just the meat and veggies) brought out my meal about 5-10 minutes later along with my dads. They made the wrong dish for my dad so they took that back. My mom's never came out. We just had them box the partial fajitas and my meal and left. None of us ate at the restaurant. We were there for almost 2 1/2 hours. Didn't eat anything but the chips and guac. No sense of urgency to make our dishes priority after the handful of issues that they experienced.
