Dustin seems like a genuinely nice and competent guy, but at the time of this writing I feel compelled to warn other small business owners that his firm is too overloaded to properly service new clients. Things started out fine when we first started working with him in Q4 of last year, but so far this year: -No one has balanced the books AT ALL -They were so last minute with filing sales taxes (within 24 hours of them being due) that it was a mess and I'm worried about it's accuracy - I had to contact them to ask where my monthly reports were when I realized just this week (mid March) I hadn't seen any reports or ever received a year end report for 2021 - While on todays call (which Dustin forgot about, I had to call him 15 minutes into the time he suggested), he told me we needed to file my S corp. I asked when it was due and he said... "today" (!!!!) When I asked how he planned ti do that he said "we will just pull all the info from your Quickbooks" and I said "when was the last time anyone actually looked at the Quickbooks?" And he admitted not since last year He explained that they were short staffed, which can happen to anyone, but the fact no one told me this is inexcusable. I'm now left desperately trying to find another accountant to help me clean up this mess. If you want to work with him, I would make sure you grill him on his capacity for new clients. I thought I'd done that in our first meeting and he assured me he had plenty of capacity, so really drive home that point. This was the single worst experience I've ever had with an accountant. read more

Return calls and schedule consultations. I sought to arrange a consultation and never received a response after leaving information with staff. Called again a few days later and same thing. Lost business from attorney with real estate LLC. read more

I love Dustin! He's been helping me file my taxes for years. He always gives great advice, expertly navigates the rules and laws, and keeps my tax burden low. He's not only ethical, but also he's very smart. Personality wise, he's stoic but then he cracks a smile and throws in his humor to make you smile. Bottom line you will feel taken care of and he will move mountains to give you the best customer service. read more

So my uncle runs his own business, and since I'm such an awesome niece, I step in and help him out once in a while -- but I'm no expert, and more importantly, I didn't want to spend my summer looking at accounting stuff -- so I set out to find some pros that could actually give him something legit. He spends a lot of time running his shop, and one of the things he least wants to do is spend his time paying his bills (I mean, who loves paying bills anyway??). I yelped and asked around for recs, hoping to find someone who could manage his finances, and we met with a few accountants before meeting with Dustin at LPW. Most were either not accepting new clients or didn't help with business finances, but Dustin & LPW do! Since one of their services offered includes paying bills for his business clients, my uncle agreed to go forward. So three months ago, Dustin took command of my uncle's finances and suggested some ideas on how to cut spending and simplify things. It's been stress free for my uncle (and me!! I'm off the hook!) so if you need a CPA who can do more than taxes, LPW's definitely worth checking out. read more

I am not their client, actually I have been trying to find a new tax planner and tax advisor for our small business. For this purpose, I have been trying to call them so many times just to ask if they still accept new client. But the calls always go straight to voicemail. read more

Dustin continues to guide our small business through tax prep and accounting services with integrity and honesty. It's such a relief to have a CPA you can trust and who is patient and knowledgeable when answering all of our questions. I really can't recommend Dustin and LPW CPAs enough! Thank you! read more

I started my own business not too long ago. As you guessed, little things such as taxes got a lot more complicated. Thus, I started to look for a CPA who I could develop a lasting business relationship with. I came across LPW and Dustin via Yelp. I must say, after working with Dustin first hand on my personal and business returns, the 5-star reviews on Yelp live up to their hype. Dustin was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and patient. He took the time to explain things to me, and answer all my questions. Never once did I feel rushed or did he talk down to me because of my ignorance of the tax code. Dustin's turn around time was also extremely fast. In the end, I ended up with a larger than anticipated return and a better understanding of tax issues related to my business. Dustin even gave me some tips and suggestions to work on - so that I could save more in taxes next year. If you have a business and are looking for a great CPA to be part of your team, look no further. You won't be disappointed. read more

Dustin and his team helped prepare the financial statements and income tax returns for my business this year and I couldn't be happier with the work and advice he provided. He delivered excellent service in a very professional and timely manner. He's very easy to get a hold off and promptly returns calls and responds to emails. Gave sound advice on saving money and knows his stuff. The prices are extremely reasonable. I saved over 25% from my previous CPA. Make sure to ask about the new client discount. I highly recommend them. read more

Omg! Dustin was awesome!!! I had no idea what to even do in terms of my self employed business taxes & he sorted thru all my bank statements transaction by transaction to make sure everything was perfect. I was so afraid that I'd owe so much and that it would be difficult to file because I wasn't organized with my own logging etc..... But, he clearly explained everything, made sure I was using every available deduction possible, & in the end had me actually receiving a small refund! I couldn't believe it! So great!! Very happy! He concluded with financial planning and instructions on logging/documenting my information properly for next year. Along with pre arranging quarterly payments for next year; so as a self employed business I won't have to pay one large lump sum at the end of the 2013! Use this guy, he's super reasonable and easy to always get in touch with; convienance level; 10+ read more

Have been calling this firm for three days; no return calls; bad business practices. Very disappointed

I love these guys! I opened a new bakery and they take care of my payroll and tax returns. Switched over to them this year after getting tired of the 2 week delayed responses from my last accountant. Dustin and Kyle always answer my emails instantly, take the time to really learn about my needs, and are constantly finding ways to help my business. They show me they care by personally bringing over paperwork to educate me on new labor laws and such. They also know I get busy and ignore their assignments, so they come back to follow up hah. And as if they don't do enough for me already, they also support my bakery by buying cupcakes every week, each time refusing to take a shopping bag in fear of adding to my expenses. Can't thank them enough. Genuinely good people. If you're running a new business, you want them holding your hand. read more

I needed a new CPA and took the recommendations of other yelpers and called these guys. I had a very good experience here. I found that the office operates really smoothly with a knowledgeable tax preparer on the front end and a competent CPA doing my returns and answering the bigger questions. They have been very responsive and friendly even during the busiest times. I will use them again. read more

I found my accountant. After so many years of trying so many people, Dustin and his company is the one I'm sticking with. I actually got a refund for 2016. I never get refunds and I always have to pay. Not only did I have to pay back to IRS, I also had to put money into IRA so I would have to pay less. WTH!!! yes this was my situation for 8 years!!! BUT I am so glad that I was referred to LPW. I was a little hesitant at first because I didn't want to pay too much, but you get what you pay for so I desperately needed someone good. I am so HAPPY that I did. I'm no longer going anywhere else. I'm actually looking forward to doing my taxes next year. Who looks forward to doing their taxes?!! Parking is ample, and the office is easy to find. Dustin is quick to answer questions and emails in a timely manner. read more

I reviewed accountants on YELP before reaching out to them and Dustin basically had all 5's. I was thrilled that my experience was consistent with everyone else's. Just received a tax organizer from LPW CPA's. Makes gathering all the documents for our return so easy.

I had a few changes in my taxes this year that I felt was going to make my taxes more complicated so I didn't want to go through Turbo Tax. Dustin reviewed my tax situation and asked about deductions I didn't know I could use. He was very helpful and took my initial information. I had forgotten a few forms but he said I could send it to him by email which means I didn't need to go back to the office. He was easy going and quick. Definitely great to work with! Highly recommended! read more

I'm glad I used yelp this year to find tax professionals that could help me with my complicated tax return. LPW were the perfect solution. My old CPA did a good job with my taxes but he never helped me make sense of it as much as Dustin did. Dustin is fast, organized, knowledgeable, and professional. I'm self employed with multiple business expenses and I also had to file multiple state returns this year. He walked me through it all and made sure I got the most out of my federal and state returns. I'm definitely using LPW CPAs for years to come. I would highly recommend Dustin to everyone. Knows his field inside and out. read more

Dustin Woo and his partners bought my former CPA's business. I decided to give him a "go" for my 2011 taxes. They promised to complete and file my taxes within a week . THEY DID!! Working with Dustin has been above and beyond anything I would have expected with a CPA! Taxes and finances can be intimidating but Dustin was patient and broke down all of his explanations into bite size easy to understand language. My husband and I were in the process of buying our first home together and Dustin was so instrumental in helping us with the finances. He really was our advocate when speaking to the lenders and without him, I'm sure the whole process would have been painful and drawn out. Dustin is quick to respond and definitely someone you need in your corner. I'd recommend him to anyone in a heart beat!! read more
