Cannot express enough how grateful I am that I found this place!! I saw their ad on Groupon and called to set up an appointment with Marina. Derek, the owner, answered the phone. He was so friendly and helpful, and got me in the next day. The salon is very clean, an open space, casual, and has a comfortable ambience to it. I met Derek and Marina, and instantly felt like we had all known each other for years. They were both very easy to talk to and both talked to me about the hair color I wanted. I never once heard them mention they were going to charge me extra for my long hair, unlike other salons where you buy the Groupon, then once you get there, they pile on additional charges. I got charged for what the Groupon price was (a first for me cause I have long hair). Also, I appreciate that they did not pressure me to buying any product. Haircut was exactly what I wanted, too. I had such an amazing experience with Marina on 1/2/2020! I admit I normally don't get my haircut as frequently as I should, but part of my commitment to myself in 2020 is to do more self care, so I started off my year with a fresh cut from a recommendation from my coworker and I am so happy I did! I feel like Marina is such a great fit for me because she made me feel really comfortable the whole time, helped me figure out exactly what I wanted, and I ended up with a fabulous cut that I actually can take care of and style on my own. I've been trying to find someone I can trust to keep coming back to, and I'm happy to say I've found her! Leah is my go-to girl! She is super nice and friendly. I had been looking forever for someone to give me the cut I want/need and the right shade of blonde. Seriously, if you need highlights, definitely hit up Leah! She even says that she loves to work on blondes. I moved here a few years ago and went to maybe 4-5 different stylists, even the Aveda school, but I wasn't happy with any of them. I have never had to come back and ask Leah for a re-do because it was already perfect. The salon is small but has a fun, classy vibe to it. There is no receptionist anymore so you have to book through the app, Vagaro which has been super easy. The owner is funny, friendly, and has a great relationship with all his clients. The price is also affordable and comparable to any other salons. I believe it's cheaper than the other salons which makes me love this place even more. Great prices and great service! I once had wonderful things to say about this salon and I am compelled to change my review. After two years I watched this salon turn into the functional equivalent of the mean-girls table at a pretentious high school. My hair takes a lot of work. I understand that. However, I do not need to be looked down upon or sit through unnecessary commentary. Additionally, I have experienced bait and switch tactics with their prices ($60 increases in a three month period for the same service? No way!). While the the cut and color was quality, I can go to any other Scottsdale salon and receive the same quality without feeling like I am burdening someone. read more

I found this salon due to its convenient proximity to me. I then noticed there was a Groupon for a partial highlight and cut and thought I would take a chance with a new salon since my current stylist is over an hour away. I walked in to Loyal.T Salon and filled out a new client questionnaire and was introduced to my stylist. My hair is brown to dark brown with some lighter highlights and long to my lower back. When we (myself and the stylist who I prefer to refer to as G) discussed what I wanted, I simply said that I wanted to touch up my highlights. In her words she said "so you want to lift your highlights?" I told her if that's what you call a touch-up then yes. She proceeded to consult with the owner as to how to approach this seemingly simple request (which was a little strange that she didn't seem to have much confidence) but I went with it. After an hour plus of foiling my hair, she pulled a foil out and sprayed the hair with a spray bottle. I was not facing the mirror. I saw something white drop on my shirt and pulled it off to see that it was actually my hair. My nerves kicked in and my stomach dropped. I picked up the hair and it broke and crumpled in my hand. She took the rest of the foils out and walked me to the shampoo sink. I was freaked out and could feel my hair breaking as she was washing it. My hair felt coarse and brittle. She stated that it came out "really blonde" and that she would need to apply a toner. I asked if she would be able to do a conditioning treatment instead of the cut. She had to ask the owner to which he agreed after coming over to assess the condition of my hair. Tyler (owner) saw what she had done and immediately dropped what he was doing and asked her to shampoo his client while he took over my appointment. He did another dark toner and conditioner. My hair turned a very weird color and the health of it was definitely in jeopardy. When questioning about the strength and health of my hair, Tyler explained that the reason my hair was breaking off and essentially disintegrating in my hand was because product was still on it at the time and should be fine now that he washed and conditioned it. After sitting in that salon for 3.5 hours, I had a headache/scalpache and I told him I didn't want him to blow dry it. I went home and used a little coconut oil and blow dried my hair - this is when I realized the severity of the situation. My formerly healthy brown hair was ORANGE AND BREAKING OFF and my scalp was bright red and burning. I called the salon in a panic to see what can be done to fix this. Tyler asked me to send him a picture and after seeing the pic, he suggested I take Benadryl and if my scalp starts to blister then to go to the hospital and he'd be willing to fix the color. We traded several texts about the topic as I was distraught - he continued to only offer to do more color and I explained that I was uncomfortable receiving any further color-related treatments from him however, I would consider a deep conditioning treatment to help reintroduce some health back into my now over-processed and horribly damaged hair. He declined. He told me to file a complaint with Groupon. I felt his response was dismissive and brash, especially as the business owner. A few days after the incident, I made it back to my original stylist (over an hour away) and she confirmed that my hair had "melted mid shaft". She couldn't believe what she saw. I have had to spend hundreds of dollars trying to save my hair and will continue to spend hundreds every couple months to simply keep what hair I have left, healthy. I did call Groupon and received a credit for a future voucher and when I attempted to text Tyler with this information and to continue the conversation about how to fix my hair, maybe by way of deep conditioning treatments, I realized that he blocked my number as my texts no longer showed 'delivered'. This experience has been a true nightmare. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, as mistakes happen and I'm a reasonable person, but Tyler lacked the integrity to work with me at all. Not only did he not establish any resolution, he blocked me the day after Groupon credited me. He has demonstrated the lowest level of professionalism and I highly suggest staying far away from this salon. read more

Extremely overpriced. I had 2 visits, first was almost $300 and second a little less. I may choose the wrong stylist at the salon.. Tyler was telling me what is good color for me, not the color I like and want. After 2 services I looked very blah, with hard to say, what is the color of my hair. I asked to fix it, and he said: he cant, and that color he did last time, is great for me. Didn't go back.. sad.. maybe other stylists at the salon could of done a better job.. read more

Followed Lindsey here and this salon is so nice with a cozy yet minimalist vibe. I'm not very daring and kind of low maintenance and she totally gets me. She manages to always give me a new but safe color that always allows me to grow out nicely since I'm just not the type to visit the salon too often and she tames my super crazy massive amounts of hair. She has done some super cute cuts for my daughter who unfortunately has my crazy curls and over abundance of hair. Anywhere else we go they try and give us the same cut they give everyone and it just doesn't work when you have tons of curly hair and Lindsey gets it she tailors our cuts specifically for our curls and big hair and I always get tons of compliments after I get my hair done. read more

A couple of years ago I let a acquaintance of mine who was in hair school color my hair. In retrospect an obviously awful idea! I ended up looking like someone had dipped half of my long beautiful locks in yellow paint. I needed MAJOR corrective color, but being fairly new to the area had no idea where I would be able to find someone with the skills to fix the mess I was in. Thankfully, through a friend of mine I found Tyler. He took pity on me and squeezed me in, and somehow turned my "disaster hair" into a beautiful balayage. He was extremely careful not to further damage my already over-bleached hair, he even did an extra conditioning treatment to attempt to repair what he could. Tyler saved my hair life that day. I go to Loyal T regularly now, and wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. The staff there are warm and friendly and really know what they are doing. Moving can be like starting your life over--a new doctor, new dentist, new school, etc. After two years of trying out various hair stylists and salons, I think I found a winner with Derek at Loyal T. I realize that I was spoiled. My previous stylist of many years knew me, understood what I wanted and what my hair was like. It became so disappointing going to various salons while trying to establish an ongoing relationship. I think I am clear with what I ask for and not all that difficult, but listening seems to be a big issue. Requests like "do not shave my neck" have been ignored. A few weeks ago, I spotted a friend's superb color job, asked who did it and immediately made an appointment with Derek. He replaced my brassy blonde with an elegant ashy color that I just love. I don't think I have ever had any stylist spend so much time getting a haircut perfect. My limp, baby fine hair was skillfully cut into an easy to manage style. Derek asked questions, listened to what I wanted (and did it) and offered some good suggestions. Also, I wasn't pressured into buying additional products. Yes, I'm a sucker who can't say "no" and now have a whole bin full of every stylist's favorite products that don't work for me like they did in the salon. The salon is clean and sleek, located in a small shopping center across from a dog grooming salon. While waiting for my color to process, I was entertained watching something white and fluffy get their hair done in the opposite window. Not only have friends and family complimented me, my husband even noticed. Best of all, I was able to come pretty close to duplicating Derek 's style on my own. I'm happy! I will be back. I had just moved to North Scottsdale, and didn't want to drive the 30 minutes to my fabulous but far away girl in Peoria, so the search was on for somewhere that was affordable with a good reputation. The Groupon deal was smokin', so I thought I would give it a try. I ended up with Derek. He asked what I liked about my hair and style, along with what I didn't like. He did a great job, and I left feeling fabulous. I'm not the girl that spends a ton on color and products, but I do like my hair to look good, so paying for a good cut is always an option. I recently moved here and was nervous about finding a new stylist as I'd been with mine for over 5 years! A friend of mine recommended Loyal T salon as they had previously fixed her daughters hair. I made an appt with Derek and was absolutely impressed with him from the start. He took time to consult with me and understand my history, what I needed now and what I wanted to eventually work toward. He calmed my fears and the results are absolutely incredible. Great place! I've now gotten my hair colored here three times Ann's cut once. They are an up and coming modern salon in Scottsdale. The owners, who are a husband and wife team work in the salon daily. Ali does and great job on my hair and she is a total sweetheart. Great prices and convenient location. They just started with their online booking which makes it easy to get in. Hours are a tad odd but fit any schedule as they have both weekend and evening availability. Went for the first time with a Group-on for a women's cut and style and Aly was my stylist. I arrived a few mins. early before they were opened and started to sit down at the picnic table outside to not be rude and wait for them to get ready to open. One of the guys was at the door, smiled and greeted me, opened the door, and instantly invited me in. Everyone was so invigorating, welcoming, and friendly. They had me fill out a questionnaire/history about my hair which I thought was a fantastic idea. Aly was very sweet, and did a superb job on my hair. Aly did a wonderful job on my haircut and blow out today. She was super nice - everyone at the salon was super nice - and had a nice chair side manner. She listened to what I wanted and gave great advice on texturizing my layers. Right before I left I had a concern about how one side of my hair was laying and the owner took the time to take a look at it. It turned out it was just weird how I was running my hands through it and was totally fine. The space was trendy and clean. I was checking out the other clients and everyone looked great when they left. I used a cheapy groupon and wasn't treated differently as sometimes that could happen with some boutique salons. I had a little sticker shock at the haircut prices when I first looked them up, but after seeing that they really give a quality experience and a beautiful cut, I will definitely be back to see Aly! read more

Love this place! Jessica is amazing with color. And I love my cut too! They are big in to education so they provide explanation along the way, if you are interested. While I was getting my hair done, they squeezed my hubby in to get his haircut. Tyler worked his magic and we both left feeling great and agreed that we looked great. And can you believe they created their own product line too!? They products smell fresh and yummy and work well for my fine hair and for my hubby's thick hair. I am excited to go back! A young couple owns this place. They're nice enough but this 50ish woman found them a bit condescending. The gal cut my hair, but didn't do what I'd asked for to make my style less heavy on top/front. She called her husband over for assistance. He ended up doing what I asked, but the questions he posed as he was cutting were a bit insulting. I'm sure he didn't mean it that way, but I didn't appreciate being asked if I fixed my hair on a daily basis. I asked for a short easy style that could be jazzed up on occasion. I had a Groupon for a cut and highlights and was so impressed with this salon! It's very friendly and welcoming, and I was made to feel very comfortable. My stylist was Derek, and he was very professional and knowledgeable. He listened to my requests, and made some suggestions about additional treatments that I agreed to, and they really made a difference! It's the best cut I've had in a very long time, but even better than that is how extremely well the treatments worked! It's been a couple of weeks and my hair still feel amazing. I used an old groupon I had purchased months ago, originally for a different salon but to my surprise the stylist it was specific for had opened up his own place, House of Loyal T! It was a cute, boutique style salon and there was a family of 5 already getting their haircut by Tyler and Jessica. Jessica ultimately cut my hair, and she did a great job! I explained to her that I'm pretty finicky about who cuts my hair, having only gone to Regis stylists but I'm glad I took a chance with this place. I have long, dark brown hair that I like styled in simple ways and she kept the cut the same, only getting rid of 3-4 inches of dead hair. She blow dried it was a round brush and put some of their own hair spray in it for some shine and it turned out beautiful! I was in there for a while, but because I talked to Jessica the whole time it seemed like minutes. They were both very friendly and sweet, I really enjoyed the experience I had at their salon! I would recommend this salon because they listen to what you want. I only get my hair cut once or twice a year and I definitely see myself coming back again! read more
