As a first-time mom, I thought breastfeeding would come naturally. My baby was born 3 weeks early, and we struggled from the start. By 3 weeks old, he was in the 2nd percentile for weight, and I wasn't sure I'd be able to build a milk supply. Working with Lerae and Nakaiya at Atlanta Lactation was a complete turning point. They created a personalized plan for us and met with me weekly to adjust it as needed. They were incredibly supportive, never pushy, and always encouraged me to follow what worked best for me and my baby while providing expert guidance. They also helped me so much with pumping--everything from creating a schedule to using wearable pumps and even figuring out milk storage for travel. That support made a huge difference in my confidence and day-to-day routine. After 5 weeks, my baby graduated at 8 weeks old, now thriving, chunky, and fully nourished on breastmilk. It truly felt like something I wouldn't be able to achieve before working with them. The care and compassion from this team is unmatched. I also love that they offer continued support through groups, classes, and guidance for transitions like returning to work or starting solids. I can't recommend Atlanta Lactation enough--this was one of the best decisions I've made for both me and my baby.

They always answered my questions promptly--no matter how big or small. They followed up with me while I was in the hospital to see how things were going with breastfeeding. They answered several panicked calls from my husband when we were having issues with latching. Jessica worked with me to help me become comfortable breastfeeding addressing some limited mobility issues. She even dropped off different nipples to try out to help us workshop what would work for my baby. Even when Jessica wasn't available, the owner, Katherine, or another colleague would quickly respond. Truly truly amazing team, thank you all!

Save yourself from the frustration and go find other location consultants who actually care. They came highly recommended by a friend, so I had high hopes of them being able to help me with my low supply issue. So I made an appointment with them and they sent one consultant over. I asked the consultant to check to see if I had clogged duct, she said "maybe". Then I asked her to show me how to do hand expression, she said "oh just go to this website and watch the video, they do it better". Seriously?? Then why do I pay you to come here?? So basically, she had wasted 2 hours of my life by telling me keep doing what I had been doing, and did not give me any suggestions to increase my supply. It also didn't help that she was kinda rude. I just had a c section 2 weeks ago, and the consultant was asking me to hold her heavy scale while she gets the booties off her shoes. This consultation was completely useless and I was very unsatisfied, so I called the company and asked to speak with the owner Sharon. She wasn't there when I called so I told the receptionist what happened and asked her to let Sharon know and give me a call. Well, Sharon was obviously too busy and said she would call at certain time then texted me saying she wasn't available. So eventually I was able to speak with her. She wasn't apologetic on the phone and kept on asking me questions of the visit that's irrelevant to how she's going to resolve the issue that I just wasted $220 and 2 hours of my life! Her tone was more like an interrogation than trying to resolve issue. She kept on saying that the consultant spent 2 hours at my house, so I need to pay her. But honestly, I'd rather she spends 5 min at my house and gives useful information that actually helps! Sharon didn't offer any of resolving this, not like " we'll send a different consultant over, or we'll refund you", none of that. She basically just said "too bad, you gotta pay us". As a new mom who's already struggling with bf, I don't need this extra stress in my life. So I just count the $$ I paid to them a loss. And I'm sharing my story to future moms so you don't have to go through the same frustration. STAY AWAY!!!
