Sophia came in with a wonderful & calm energy and she gave me lots of suggestions on how to make the latch much more comfortable. She designed us a plan to breastfeed more as that was my goal and she followed up with me. After a few weeks, I had no more challenges with the breastfeeding! Fast forward a few months when my daughter was no longer accepting the bottle (what a switch)! Sophia came back in again with her wonderful, calming energy and got my daughter to drink from the bottle and gave us pointers on how to do it ourselves. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, patient, provides evidence-based recommendations and truly prioritizes mom's wellbeing as well as baby's. My husband was able to join us for part of her in-home visit and said he learned so much and we both felt so much more confident and empowered. She immediately sent a full plan via email reiterating the tips and info she shared during the visit for reference. Lactation support and education should be accessible to every mother when considering the immense benefits of breastfeeding - and Sophia made sure we had all the tools for success, making herself available at any point in the future for any other questions we had. On top of it all, she is a lovely human who is genuinely passionate about what she does and strongly advocates for mom and baby. Highly highly recommend!

As a first-time mom, I thought breastfeeding would come naturally. My baby was born 3 weeks early, and we struggled from the start. By 3 weeks old, he was in the 2nd percentile for weight, and I wasn't sure I'd be able to build a milk supply. Working with Lerae and Nakaiya at Atlanta Lactation was a complete turning point. They created a personalized plan for us and met with me weekly to adjust it as needed. They were incredibly supportive, never pushy, and always encouraged me to follow what worked best for me and my baby while providing expert guidance. They also helped me so much with pumping--everything from creating a schedule to using wearable pumps and even figuring out milk storage for travel. That support made a huge difference in my confidence and day-to-day routine. After 5 weeks, my baby graduated at 8 weeks old, now thriving, chunky, and fully nourished on breastmilk. It truly felt like something I wouldn't be able to achieve before working with them. The care and compassion from this team is unmatched. I also love that they offer continued support through groups, classes, and guidance for transitions like returning to work or starting solids. I can't recommend Atlanta Lactation enough--this was one of the best decisions I've made for both me and my baby.

The first few weeks postpartum are so stressful with so much emphasis on making sure your baby is eating enough. I couldn't have survived without Atlanta lactation. I loved working with Jessica who was so friendly, professional and a wealth of information! It is so clear she has a passion for helping moms and babies. Jessica and the whole team were amazing. They always answered my questions promptly--no matter how big or small. They followed up with me while I was in the hospital to see how things were going with breastfeeding. They answered several panicked calls from my husband when we were having issues with latching. Jessica worked with me to help me become comfortable breastfeeding addressing some limited mobility issues. She even dropped off different nipples to try out to help us workshop what would work for my baby. Even when Jessica wasn't available, the owner, Katherine, or another colleague would quickly respond. Truly truly amazing team, thank you all!

At that point, we had already paid her trusting the great reviews she had online. Covid hit, and in Atlanta they didn't allow a 2nd support person (in some hospitals they were not even allowing the partner), and I was furlough from my job. We asked if she can keep half of the payment, and refund us half back since she won't join us in the hospital. She has not responded to my asks for that, literally tried numerous times, and feel very much scammed. Terrible experience- especially since we approached this from a place of wanting support, she turned out to be anything but that and added significant stress during my pregnancy.

Having her in our corner was invaluable as we navigated the uncharted waters of pregnancy and beyond. She was always available and quick to answer any questions (is XYZ normal? Can I get in a hot tub? What do we do about this?) etc etc. And then when the Covid-19 pandemic made EVERYTHING unknown, having Rebecca's NO BS style, guidance, empowering energy and knowledge made us much more comfortable and confident with every new twist and turn. The hospital only allowed one guest (my partner) so Rebecca video chatted with us during the entire labor. She coached us through every step of the way. I had some unforeseen complications and Rebecca worked with us and our medical staff to make sure we understood everything before moving forward with next steps. We ended up with a healthy mama and baby. And even though our birth story ended up very differently from our birthing plan, I wouldn't have changed a thing. I feel so satisfied with how well everyone worked together to nurture and support our little family. We found Rebecca to be worth her weight in gold and will highly recommend her to friends and family.

NO ONE was at the front desk at all when we arrived. she showed up FIFTEEN mins later from the "bathroom" and proceeded to tell us we could not attend our appt due to the fact that she had cancelled it before going to the bathroom which wouldve been well before the time allotment to be late was up. she was very rude to me and another white customer who came in while my partner was waiting to try to speak to someone. another woman who ended up just leaving told us she had been trying to get a form for weeks and was unable to do so due to the lack of communication. my partner was unable to speak to anyone else as she claimed to be the manager and would not consider that we had driven from over an hr away for our appt. im not sure how the midwives and nurses are because after such deplorable treatment we decided not to return at all. very poorly ran. they have also raised costs and are requiring you to take classes that you may not necessarily need esp if youve had multiple natural births before. also they have moved to a smaller/less nice facility next door than previously used which wouldnt have been a problem for me but just so you are aware of before you make an appt (we were not made aware). sucks because we had such a good experience with our last baby and i was looking forward to a similar experience. this woman should not be working in a field with pregnant women and babies when birth centers are so important in places like the south. it drives away people desiring a respected and peaceful smooth process of prental care and natural birth. i hope this review finds its way to management and she is replaced so other women do not have to deal with her.

I started interviewing doulas and midwives when I was only 3 months pregnant. After contacting Cynthya thru the Happiest Doulas website, I spoke with her and knew immediately that I needed the support of a doula from The Happiest Doulas as a part of my birth team. I requested a consult with Jeni Standard. Jeni's biography resonated with me the most because she had studied functional nutrition, and was certified in both nutrition and lactation. As a sufferer of Celiac Disease and someone who struggled with getting pregnant, I knew she would be a great resource and offer the support and understanding I needed. And I was so right - Jeni was the calm to my storm! She was there to comfort me after after some scary experiences. She also had great reading recommendations, as I was avidly reading all the books while pregnant. We had so many questions after our son was born and Jeni was so supportive and responsive. Because she is also a certified lactation consultant, she was able to support my decision to breastfeed, despite many obstacles. She followed up with me many times after our son was born, and I still feel like I could reach out to her just to catch up! Included in my birth package were 10 weeks of birth bootcamp classes. Our instructor, Alexa Gumm, was so wonderful! Her warmth and experience made our weekly Sunday classes something that my husband and I truly looked forward to. It turned out to be a great bonding experience for the two of us. We learned so much - from what to expect during labor (we got to watch videos) to info on breastfeeding. The classes were great for me, but mostly, I wanted my husband to really understand the process. He is not the type to read books, so a class was perfect. Alexa made sure the "dads" understood ways to support their partners during the birthing process. Alexa would have been so proud of my husband because he remembered everything she taught us during class and he was really supportive while I was in labor! She even followed up with me after our son was born and gave me some recommendations that were really helpful. I am so thankful Cynthya brought together the wonderful group called The Happiest Doulas! I will surely call on them again in the future when I plan my next birth. Cynthya was so kind and helpful as well throughout. I feel as if I gained 3 wonderful friends by the end of my pregnancy.

Jeni advocated for us when we needed it and provided emotional and physical support that made me feel safe and empowered the entire time to have an unmedicated birth. Her post partum visit saved my breastfeeding journey where she gave us valuable advice and almost 5 months later, I am still happily breastfeeding. We couldn't be more grateful for Happiest Doulas!!
