I've only visited this Lowe's a few times and it's always been a great trip and everyone has always been super helpful. The most recent trip I had I required some wood and I needed it cut and the individual cutting the wood for me was very nice and very precise. He was very helpful and it was very easy to find someone to help me. I was unable to take the extra wood I had home as the piece was too big and someone else was also able to just tell me where to leave it and that they would take care of it. Super great service and I would definitely recommend visiting this Lowe's location. To anyone who's buying wood, I would recommend you to park close to the left as that's where all the wood material is and it would save you a trip from walking. read more

Picked up my third tool chest from this Lowe's because the first one had a busted hinge and the second was missing drawers and a bottom shelf. Returned both. The return guy acted like I was returning a soda, not a hundred-plus-pound box I had to haul back twice. No empathy, just ripped it open like I couldn't tell what a drawer is. At least we got it done. Trying to get a replacement? Every chest is stored 20 feet in the air. No floor models, nothing accessible. I found a helpful associate who tried to get someone else to assist. The second guy shows up in a fatigue vest (I was amped, this dude probably gets stuff DONE!) immediately launches into a random story about "Newsra from Neimans Road" instead of helping. No call to the back, no "let's find help..." - just Newsra. I stood there awkwardly while they chatted. After a couple of minutes, I walked off. Batman-style. Lowe's, I just wanted a tool chest. Maybe keep a few on the ground. And please remind your team the customer should come before the storytelling. read more

I was interested in purchasing a grill. Only 1 local Lowes store said they had it in stock. Their inventory showed 1. I purchased it online to insure it was not sold to someone else with a pickup date for 2 days later. We received an email the next day that the store inventory was wrong. SURPRISE. I was told I needed to "make a decision" on what I wanted to do, or the order would be canceled I called the store and spoke to the first person who answered the phone, told them the situation and asked what my options were since I saw no options listed on the email. I was told my only option is to cancel and reorder. I explained I used gift cards, that could not be reused to reorder. I said I just wanted to reorder and was promptly passed to a second person. The second person confirmed the store could do nothing.... say for example order it and contact me when it arrives. Again, I said I just wanted to reorder and was sent to a third person. This person was equally unhelpful and said the only option was for me to cancel and for me to reorder. I was assured not to worry "Corporate would mail me new gift cards" I saw a chat option in the email that told me my item was not in stock. I decided to try. After 30 minutes I was able to explain to the chat person my concerns and what I wanted to do. FINALLY they told me they would order my grill and have it delivered to the store. Simple right? I was also told to be certain to call the store and inform them I did not want to cancel my item. I called the store and tried to explain to the first person the arrangements that I made and not to cancel the order. Apparently, all that person could do was repeat the computer says you need to "make a decision". No understanding of what I was saying. No attempt to resolve my issue. Finally, I said I made a decision, and I am trying to explain It to you. I guess that was overwhelming because I was placed on hold and transferred to the store manager. Finally, someone who could understand, or at least I hoped. He said he would help and put notes all over the order so it doesn't get canceled, and it would be taken care of Yesterday we got an email that says the order was canceled. I drive the 20+ miles to the store only to find out yes, the order was canceled. Spoke to a very nice lady who immediately understood my issue and got the manager involved. Ya know the one who wrote all the notes. She came back initially and said they can't reinstate my order I needed to reorder online. I explained the issue with the gift cards, she went back to the manager, and he acknowledged he wrote the notes, he did what he could, tried everything he knew. But it was canceled anyway. His employees dropped the ball. Even with that he did not offer to reorder at the store. He also assured me corporate will mail me new gift cards. I am not holding my breath. There was nothing more he could do. All I needed to do was go online and reorder. And I did reorder online....... but this time from Amazon. Same price. Delivered to my house. No 3 + hours of my time. No 45 miles of driving. No worry if something goes wrong. I am done with Lowes. If this is the service, they give for an $800+ purchase when they acknowledge they screwed up I can find a way better options. I strongly encourage everyone skip Lowes. So you wonder why you here Lowe's is always doing bad..... no customer service at all. We went saw the Craftsman toolbox we wanted. 900$. Got a Lowe's credit card. Went back two days later with two vehicles to transport it. We went to this one as it's closer to our house. It was $200 more and they wouldn't honor the price even though we showed them a pictured the tag and proof we applied for a Lowe's card. Got back in our two cars drove 45 minutes and the Lowe's in Philadelphia on Roosevelt and they had it for the price we originally saw it for. We have now been here 2 hours waiting for them to get it down off a shelf. I did try calling in that 45 min drive but was on hold 20 min and then told to call back in a hour when the tool guy was back from lunch. We still are being told that they might not be able to get it off the shelf. So there are tons of employees here today walking around aimlessly talking to each other. It's pretty sad. I've now waisted 3 hours of my day off looking at another 2 by the way this is going.not good. read more

If I could give a lower rating I would. Worst delivery service in the world I will never shop at Lowe's again unless I can carry out what I buy and even then I'd have to really want something. Delivered my dryer - driver said in broken English , neither man could speak or understand English, that it wouldn't fit through the door. However they took out my old dryer which was the exact size as the new one. Brought it in front door rather than back door where the old dryer went through fine. Then said it wouldn't fit in the space for it - where they removed the exact same dryer. Left dryer sitting in the middle of my kitchen floor and left told me to call Lowe's to have them come back and get it. My husband installed the dryer himself that we had paid lowes to do. My daughter and I stopped in recently to pick up a Christmas present (Craftsman tool set) for my husband. After seeing what all there was to choose from, we ended up buying a Kobalt set instead. I called to make sure if I ordered moving boxes online for store pickup, I would be able to pick them up within 5 days. It was hard to find an option so I selected Pro Desk. Pro Desk passes me to Online Orders Desk. Phone rang and rang and no one picked up. I tried again and called the North Wilmington Lowe's store, selected PRO desk and they said I would be switched to Customer Service. The phone rang about 15 times and I was disconnected. I'll try Home Depot. Now I've had an example of why my financial planner said stay away from Lowe's stock and invest in Home Depot. Lowe's does not provide good customer service. And they shift the staff around and expect them to run for their entire shift dealing with the public (and we are hard to deal with) while struggling against the broken system. My clothes dryer finally stopped working for good on Sunday morning, Dec. 26, 2021, so I went to a few stores to look for a new one. Then I researched online. On Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, I ordered AND paid for a new dryer from Lowe's, to be delivered Tuesday morning, Dec. 28, 2021, between 8:00 am and noon. Tuesday morning: no text, no phone calls, no delivery updates. I called Lowe's and called XPO, their delivery company, numerous times. I was told we were 6th on their list and the dryer would arrive by noon. Never happened. I called both Lowe's and XPO at 1:00 pm AND CHECKED ONLINE: the dryer was to be delivered by 4:00 pm. I called and checked at 4:15 pm: it's out for delivery. IT NEVER WAS DELIVERED. THEY DID NOT KNOW WHERE IT WAS. I CANCELLED MY ORDER. Shame on Lowe's. Where is your scheduled delivery and your customer service? If I could give you a negative 5 stars, I would. You've lost a customer. Humiliated at the hands of Lowes. I am a professional remodeling contractor. I recently purchased custom kitchen cabinets- Diamond- from Lowes. See order # 717953 It has been a disaster, with serious financial and reputation repercussions for my company. In a nutshell, I trusted Lowes and they humiliated me. I estimate I have either directly purchased or refered clients worth $75K, in cabinets alone over the past 5 years. And this will be the last order. To date, some 16 weeks after paying in full - yes 4 months - have yet to get all of my cabinets (I suspect part of my order was stolen by G & G Delivery), with no end in site. Lowes Cabinets is a mirage, they have absolutely no control over the manufacturer or the delivery chain, leaving them a useless pawn as I struggle to get what I need. I ordered a washer/dryer from them and the salesman took 15 mins to show up to the counter, didn't check the stock and I got a call on saturday (the day of delivery) saying the washer was not in stock and the salesman should have checked. Only the dryer was coming and the washer should be on the Tuesday truck. It's Tuesday and no word from them and no one will answer the phone in that department. Besides having a not qualified working person to attend a customers needs, after purchase a schedule was set up for delivery between 8am and 12pm, then I receive a recorded message that delivery will take place between 1pm and 4pm. The problem is that I don't have all day to be sitting and waiting, so I decided to call the Wilmington store, where I made the purchase, and after a long wait, someone answered the phone, pushed the keys like they were transferring and hung up. Living within walking distance since it opened,I have always shopped here. I property managed 6 local houses so I was at Lowe's constantly for hundreds of trips and have seen many managers come and go. All had great enthusiasm to start but faltered quickly leaving a nice, fairly well stocked store without much customer service. With the exception of three veteran " employees, do not count on much help when shopping. Most employees will look the other way after a glance. On my last vusit this werk, I was wondering where all the shopping carts were and why there are no carry baskets. Asking an employee, he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I tried to order some lumber online and have it delivered to my house. After my order went through, there was no indication of when it would arrive. I searched the website and found that they would call me the night before and give me a two hour window for the following day. I did not get to choose the day according to when was convenient for me. I work for a living, so I made special arrangements for someone to be home during their timeframe that morning. Then they texted me DURING that time, when someone was already at my house waiting for the order, to tell me that it wouldnt arrive until later that afternoon. My helper couldnt stay all day. So I called back and rescheduled. We started the whole process again and this time I was home during the window. Then the order never showed up. I asked for a refund. I had to call multiple places and wait online for way too much time to finally connect with someone who could cancel and refund my order. It took about a week to go through. When I checked my bank account, it had gone through for only part of the amount I was originally charged. I called back and had to wait on hold again. They took my number and called me back, and finally I was refunded the full amount. What an ordeal! It took a lot of time. I am a new home owner and I do a lot of work myself. I don't think I will use Lowes again. They have poor communication within their company, poor communication with the delivery people, the various departments of the store, and poor communication with the customers. read more
