Ohio Lowes shoppers Beware!! Lowe's subcontracts their home home improvement projects to third-party companies that, in my experience, do not adequately respect property boundaries. During a fence installation for my neighbor, the subcontracted fencing company destroyed a garden bed on my property and damaged a handmade ceramic decorative item. This damage will require professional repair in the spring and replacement of the handmade item. Lowe's response was to offer $100, which is insufficient given the extent and cost of the damage. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and resolution. A major red flag should have been when this F-rated company removed several panels from my fence in order to connect the fence they were installing for my neighbor. I bought new blinds for my condo. They were special order. After the installation dept. of Lowe's installed them, some of them were not right. Lowe's installation sent someone out to inspect the job. When he was in my home, he agreed that some of them needed to be replaced. The replacement blinds were ordered, however, when I finally read the inspection report, the installer did not tell the truth and said that the problem was my perception and didn't recommend replacing the blinds and the replacement order was cancelled. Do not use Lowe's for your flooring needs. We bought "premium" stainmaster carpet from them in April of 2021 and after less than 4 years the pattern is completely worn out and the carpet is stretched and is rippled. We contacted Lowe's and they had technicians come out to photograph our carpet who said the carpet needs replaced but for four weeks after that all I got was run around till today they called and said they weren't going to warrantee it and offered no adjustments of any kind blaming it on stainmaster even though Lowe's owns stain Master. We had another inspector we hired come out today who said it was never installed properly or it would have never stretched like this and it is definitely a fiber issue which is mentioned under our carpet warranties, just bad business, bad communication and horrible customer service. Do not buy a grill or major appliance from this company. After failing to deliver the grill on the scheduled day. I learned they will happily damage the crap out of the product during assembly, put it on a truck, and expect the dumb customers to accept it when they do decide to deliver it. Ordered $400 worth of stone to be delivered to the house. They said they would call the day before and same day of delivery. Neither occurred. When I called to find out more information I was put on hold for 20 min. and kept getting moved from one person to the next, none of them being able to answer a simple question. My wife finally gets a new delivery date for after our vacation. Later then what we needed. So I go in person to change the delivery date to sooner and they tell me the order had been cancelled. The Willoughby Lowes is my go to store for household necessities. I saved a bundle when I purchased new appliances last year when my kitchen was remodeled. They carry many different lightbulbs, nuts and bolts, and décor. I purchased a few lamps and lighting fixtures that are gorgeous from them. I also order on line and go to pick up at the store. I like their garden center for annuals and herbs. They have cut blocks from 2x4s and cut seats for dining room chairs from a sheet of plywood, at no cost. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is staffing. It's really hard to find someone to assist you when shopping in the store. I have resorted to calling the store and asking someone to meet me in the aisle while I was in the store. read more

Why is there no one working in the garden center on a Saturday? Although I went at 10:30, and the sign on the fence said open at 10, I had to use the front door to bring out a load of bags and plants. Very inconvenient since I was parked near the garden center. Very pleased with the service I received from Randy in Appliances at Willoughby, Ohio store. My freezer was dying and I was in desperate situation to find a freezer ASAP. After trying at the Mentor, Ohio store with no success (Richie in Appliances at the Mentor store could have found the freezer at the Willoughby store if he had only checked for me), Randy sold it to me on Saturday and had it delivered by 11:00 on Sunday morning! The store experience is excellent, but I had a private contractor that came the other day named billy who was the absolute worse. His measurements was off by a mile and he tried to tell me about that's the way the door is made. I was very disappointed to see how inaccurate the measurements were later on in the day. I'm very surprised, that Loews would send a worker that wasn't a perfectionist. read more
