This location is huge. You don't need to be a professional, a homeowner or a repair person to shop here. They have everything. For the non do it yourselfer there is Toilet tissue, cleaning supplies, decorations, markers, water filters etc. staff were very helpful. Bathrooms (ladies) receive my seal of approval! This VA Beach Blvd Lowe's is pretty nice. They have a large and well-stocked garden section and it's a clean parking area and store. The store is always clean and free of debris and I've always been able to find wha I'm looking for when I come inside. Staff are willing to help and the lady checking us out last weekend was super nice and friendly to everyone she helped. Recently, we browsed for outdoor patio lights, an outdoor fan, flowers, planters, and mosquito repellant. Found it all! read more

Lowe's is a material supplier should never have gotten into installation. They have enough problems trying to deliver when they said they would. I was scheduled 12:45 to 2:45 pm. It's 4:30 now and they're not here. In actuality I had put in for delivery tomorrow. Why do they bother giving you a choice when it means nothing. Another major gripe is I paid for them to come by and give me a quote for Venetian blinds. They showed up and measured last Friday. It's been a week and no quote. I went ahead and bought them myself and will install. What irks me is I paid for them to give me a quote. It wasn't delivered so I will ask for a refund. I hope they read this. Also I just bought $21,000 worth of replacement widows. That's so far is going ok. Remember they don't do any work. They sub it out. Their quality control of subs is terrible. The fellow putting in the windows seems qualified; however, he said he does it by himself. I see problems coming. I'm a contractor so will help him. Also I know that what they intend to do is not proper.... No flashing tape, shims, foam, or backer rod. The installer will just have to wait as I prep the window and seal it before caulking. Parking has been congested. I go to this store hoping to get everything I need with one stop. I walked3/4's of this HUGE store and never found an employee to ask a question. I was in helping a friend with projects. So as I was explaining how to use the items we were picking up. People started asking me were stuff was because they could not find anyone to ask either. I understand this is a big store but I would think you would have people just to answer were stuff is. The most helpful person I found was the lady at the counter in the very middle of the store. She was near the curtains and blinds. A store like this should be about customer service. Let's talk about the products. The one 50 foot hose we could find was super flimsy. Walmart has better ones. This was all they had. I just wish for the price we paid for a lot of the products the quality would have been there too. We looked for a watering can. No one around to ask. We never found that item. You would think with a HUGE store like this they would have the simple items needed. We chose this store because we thought it is big enough to have everything. They just don't seem to care. This is why a lot of my friends are ordering everything online. The employee I found in the one department was their first day. I have been finding that a lot. I know more about this store than the employees. So what happens when I have a question. This store just seems like it is constant chaos. Throughout the years I have been coming here it does not seem helpful. I guess that is the big box store mentality. I really wish I could give this more that 2 stars but in my heart I cannot. Shopping at the Lowe's at 2403 Va. Beach Blvd. was a horrible experience on 6/6/25. It took 45 minutes to buy one electrical outlet. I will never shop there again and I promise to post on All media sites to warn people that you will actually save time by driving further to a Home Depot. The "Manager " DAVE " was so sarcastic and rude that if it wasn't for helping my daughter with her condo I would have walked out. 1. Customer Service , I spoke to 3 workers who said " NOT MY DEPT" but I could clearly see & hear workers socializing. 2. Stock , The Item I needed was out of stock except there was one box on the very top shelf. which then I needed someone with a ladder. But CLEARLY if it's not THEIR dept. it's okay with DAVE if they walk away when you ask for help. So I walked to the front customer service desk and asked for help. I was told " I'll send someone" No one came .... when I found Dave ( Manager) and I told him that I had been begging for help and he needed to have an employee meeting regarding customer service he was so Arrogant that he said " Okay, I'll do that now and started to walk away !! The young man ( Jordan ) who was with DAVE was very kind and quickly went and got a ladder. It looked like DAVE needed to show off that day and be the Alfa male... Very disappointed in my purchase of in-stock blinds by Levolar. They reach to the floor and are too bottom heavy not to adjust for length which is an extra charge. Also have to order end caps to finish valance. (EXTRA CHARGE) Buyer beware if you don't have standard size windows. read more

If you are even CONSIDERING appliance delivery from this place, I have a good story for you. Go ahead, grab a cup of coffee... 30 May: I purchase a Samsung refrigerator. I request delivery for 9 June and purchase the warrantee for it. Also spotted an offer for free replacement door panels for it. Win, right? No, this is where the nightmare begins. 9 June: NO CALL, NO SHOW. My wife takes off a day of work for arrival. She ends up calling the store around 2pm. Someone TOLD her that the delivery was now going to be on 16 June. I go to the store after work, manager tells me a shipment may come in on 10 June and if that happened, they would call me for delivery on 11 June. This is also where the excuses of a third party delivery service begin. 10 June: NO CALL. I go to the store after work (approximately 4pm), manager tells me delivery rescheduled for 11 June. I was also told that someone would call me later in the evening for my delivery window. My questions about no calls and delivery windows yield excuses about how they have no control over the delivery service and they have no answers. 11 June: DID NOT DELIVER. I received a call at 9:30am telling me I had a delivery window of 8am to 8pm (yes, A 12 HOUR WINDOW). Delivery person calls around 3pm and tells me that he may not be able to deliver today due to not having an additional delivery person with him. He arrives and tells me he can't do it by himself. He also mentions that he didn't understand why they insisted that he deliver on his own, knowing that he wouldn't be able to deliver the item by himself. I go to the store. Delivery rescheduled for 12 June. This time I am given a delivery window of 2pm - 6pm while at the store. More excuses about no control over the delivery service. 12 June: ITEM DAMAGED. Delivery personnel show up around 3pm. One of them points out a very large dent near the compressor. I decline the delivery. I go to the store and speak with the manager. Delivery set up for 13 June. I give them my wife's number so they can reach her instead. 13 June: CALLED, NO SHOW. Manager from Lowe's calls my wife. Says cannot deliver today, delivery rescheduled for 14 June. 4 hourse of work lost. 14 June: CALLED WRONG NUMBER. Delivery personnel tried calling my number (remember that part where I gave them my wife's phone number previously?). Did not reach me so did not deliver. I go to store. Gave them my wife's phone number AGAIN. More excuses about third party delivery. 4 hours of work lost. Delivery rescheduled for 17 June. 17 June: SHOWED UP LATE, ITEM DAMAGED. Delivery personnel show up 30 minutes late. Wife had to go to work, but mother in-law at the house. Mother in-law sees item damaged near the compressor, calls my wife to get decision. She arrives 15 minutes later to look at it. Driver had loaded the appliance back into the truck and refused to show my wife. Told her that he was now behind because of her and would only put it in the driveway, would not install it, and might pick up the old refrigerator later today if he had time. Did not accept it. Following the conversation with my wife, driver sat in driveway for at least 10 more minutes. 2 hours of work lost. Went to the store, cancelled order, received refund. Received $25 gift card for my trouble. 20 June: Bank statement indicates I was not refunded full amount. Went to store. They forgot to refund the warrantee. Warrantee refunded. Oh yeah, earlier on in this mess when I had some degree of optimism that my appliance would show up, I looked into the free panels for the refrigerator. The flyer I grabbed from the store said to go to Samsung.com. I go to the website and it says specifically "not redeemable with purchases from Lowe's" and that I must go to Lowe's.com. I go to the link provided and it asks me for a rebate code. I don't have one. Nobody gave me one. So, during one of my many trips to Lowe's, I asked about this. It took about an hour but got to the point where I would receive a REBATE in 8-12 weeks. This is not the same as what was advertised. Bottom line - the experience was horrible. The folks at Lowe's were very nice and professional, however, they did not have any real solutions to anything and simply seemed to react to the situation instead of being proactive and attempting to solve it. Additionally, they were generally confused on the subject of the free panels whenever it came up. All of this mess resulted in us losing over 18 hours of time at work (a conservative value of our time is at $50/hr, so at least $540 lost). I still do not have a refrigerator. Went to Lowe's today with 10K ready to spend on already picked out flooring. Waited in the Floor section for 24 minutes as multiple employees walked past us and the phone rang repeatedly. It was 5pm on a rainy Monday. They were not remotely busy. I walked up to the front and asked them to page someone, which they did. Still nothing. Left going on the 25 minute mark of standing around asking employees left and right if anyone worked in flooring And if anyone could help us. It's like no one wants to make money anymore. read more

After being a loyal customer to this Lowe's location for more than a decade, it saddens me to write this review. Recently, during a visit I asked for some pieces of wood that were being thrown away. These were to be used at a non-profit art school. These are scrap pieces that are left by customers that had a piece of wood cut, and they had paid for the entire piece, that the customer didn't want. It was to be scrap, discarded. I will repeat, this wood has been paid for but discarded. I was told I could not have these pieces. They were not to be given away. I was told that it is not the practice of this store to give away wood. Again, this wood has already been purchased but cut off and was to be discarded. I asked if I could retrieve the wood from the trash and was told I could not just have it, it wasn't free. When I asked if they were selling these pieces I was told that they sell many pieces of damaged goods for a discounted price. I asked again, if the discarded wood that had already been paid for was being sold. It was at this point that, Dave, started double talking me. I could not have the trash, it is not to be given away. It was not free but they were not selling it. I said I was confused. I was told again they would not give away the scrap/trash. They sold damaged goods at a discount. When I told them that selling goods that had already been sold and the customer didn't want the scrap, that selling merchandise twice, constitutes fraud, Dave became hostile and told me that the trash was not free. At this point I could not believe what I was hearing and said for my clear understanding I was going to record what he, Dave, was saying. Dave then started to really choose his double talk. I asked if I could have the scrap pieces of wood from the trash. He said no, the trash was not free. I said, so you are selling the trash? No direct answer, He said I could not have the trash. This repeated several times. All this is very sad and disappointing behavior. None of it made sense. At the very least was just terrible customer service. read more

Ordered chair and outdoor table last week. Paid for delivery. Was told it would be assembled and delivered. Paid $100 for this. Chair came assembled Monday. Yesterday third party delivery service brought the table, in a box, un-assembled. I told them I was expecting it to be assembled. They don't speak English and shrugged their shoulders. I went in today to the store yet again and they could not tell me what happened after waiting 30 minutes. I told them to call me with a solution. No call yet. But their system for pre-ordering for curbside or instore pick-up is completely broken. Horrible installation experience. Ordered doors mid-September with the expectation of late October installation. Installer contacted us to give us dates, took time off work for install. A few days before, contacted to say doors were delayed and install would be delayed 2 weeks after we had already taken time off work. The week before install, Lowe's called to say they cut ties with installer. New installer would not keep original dates, got pushed back to end of November. Lowe's has been less than helpful throughout the process and severely lacks in communication and customer service. Do NOT recommend services to anyone. read more

I know the hardware stores are busy due to everyone working home projects (BTW, folks...going out to the big box stores defeats the purpose of social distancing), but it is amazing how bad their phone system is. The Lowe's on Holland Road picked up in 2 rings (thanks!), but did not have the item in stock I needed. I called the VB Blvd Lowe's and after 15 minutes of ringing decided to try all the different departments until I got a real person. 20 minutes later (total 35 minutes of phone wait time) I still had not had one person pick up. I've been put off by the attitude of the employees there in the past, but since I generally know exactly what I need and where to get it, I've been able to minimize my interactions. I believe that Lowe's is one of the places offering curbside pickup for pre-orders. If so, then I suggest you start answering the damn phone. read more

This Lowes is preferable to the other location on Military. I have been to this store on VB Blvd several times and I find it to be clean and usually very good customer service. The last few days I have been specifically looking at carpet with a FREE install sale that is going on until Nov. Yesterday I checked what they had and did not have a lot of time, but watched two employees stock and never come over to me. Today I went back and was in the carpeting area for over 10 minutes and watched and employee by himself on the computer never come around the counter. After the first day I was surprised, but two days in a row is quite shocking. I have already done my online research and wanted to do business with Lowes. I am not going to kill them on this review because this is the one that sticks and other experiences have been much better. As a matter of fact on my way to the carpeting area two employees asked me if they could help and others gave eye contact and smiled. To Lowe's. I want to inform and complain about the horrible experience I had in your store 2403 Virginia Beach Blvd Va Beach VA. On 4/3/23 I walked into the store and bought a Whirlpool 18 cubic feet refrigerator. The sale-person and I worked out the delivery for 4/10/23. I made arrangements for this by getting bags of ice to put my food on until the delivery came that day. I work (2) jobs so I made arrangements for someone to be at my house to wait for delivery. All this only to find out AFTER my friend called at 2:00 in the afternoon to find out where they were since my delivery window was 8-12. That is when she was told that the refrigerator wasn't even at the store yet. I of course now am livid! I'm at work calling and was put on hold 7 times!!! I lost my temper and cussed at the sale-person in that dept for his rude and condescending attitude. I finally get someone who assured me it will be delivered 4/11/23. So, to make sure this is so I even stopped by the store on my way home between jobs and spoke with Jason (supervisor) who assured me that is will come 4/11. 4/11 comes with an 8-8 delivery window. At 10:00 I call to get a delivery window (because now I had to take off work to be home using my PTO time that I wasn't intending to use) and these jokers say that my refrigerator wasn't put on the truck and isn't coming until 4/12/23!! That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I demanded a supervisor was put on hold and 5 different people picked up and I asked "are you a supervisor?" and they reply hold please...Finally I get Jason (again) and I ask him where is my refrigerator and why isn't it on the truck. He places me on hold only to come back with bad news that they can't get me my product today. Something about after he scheduled the computer reschedule it (bullshit!) he showed me on the screen that night I stopped in the store to confirm delivery. Now it is rescheduled AGAIN!!! That was it!!! I gave up and asked for my money back. Jason offered to give it to me at 1/2 the price and I told him NO! I wouldn't take shit from Lowe's after this horrible experience. My money has been refunded. I have tried to call and get the store manager name but keep getting put on hold without being asked first and then no one ever comes back to the phone. So as of now I still have no idea who is that stores manager. Please find out and forward him this correspondence too so he can see how poorly his store is run. This Lowes location has been my go-to spot for all home needs since a Home Depot delivery truck ran into my retaining wall, and HD told me that is was not their problem. Not a very classy move by the boys in Orange, and they pretty much lost my business for life. Luckily I like going to this Lowes location, and I guess the more you go somewhere, the more you know where to find all the things you need. And that is a good thing, because while the sales people are very knowledgeable, they are also very hard to find and are usually already helping somebody else. I have stocked up for all sorts of projects here in the last two years, including electrical, gutters, landscaping, underground drainage, siding repair, painting, dry wall repair, and the list goes on. Terrible. Ridiculous. Horrid. That sums up my opinion of this place in a politically correct manner. I usually strive to find the positive aspects of negative situations whenever possible - this time I'm going to keep it real. Do not go here - period. Here's why... I've been to this location several times - all because the store is close to my house. When I don't need advice/just need a nut or bolt, I can usually (55% of the time) find what I want. If I need advice/help locating something/make an online order, my satisfaction level drops to about 5-10%. Case and point - yesterday I made an online order for cinder blocks and fence posts. Feeling that there was no way they could mess up something so simple, I had someone pick up my order while I was at work. My associate arrived to pick up my specific order (heavy weight flush mount blocks) and was told that "all cinder blocks are the same.". She showed the employee a picture of what I requested and even went online to double-confirm my order - still the employee didn't budge on his uneducated opinion. Trusting that she wasn't being misled by a seemingly knowledgeable employee, she brought the blocks to my house and unloaded all 42 of them. This morning I went out to begin my project and what do ya know - I have three types of blocks for three types of projects. Go figure. So now I have to load them all back up, take them back to the "store", so that their "professional" staff can actually get me what I paid for... seems legit. I'll add this to the "mixed-my-paint-color-wrong" episode and my "cracked-tiles-are-my-fault" occurrence - seriously folks, if you can't do your job why be in business? I will be driving out of my way from now on to find actual advice and service. My time and money are important to me and I can't entrust it to a store that can't trust its staff to do the right thing. Rant complete. read more

We replaced our air filters by ordering on Lowe's online service and they pulled the wrong size. So we went and returned one. Following their rules, I was treated rudely by 3 store employees. I became infuriated and with my perfect sized air filter I yelled out. I was planning on purchasing a fresh Basil plant to replace my dead one. But with the store employees attitudes! Forget about my basil purchase! I will find another place to do business with! My girlfriend and I are Still working on reupholstering her dining room chairs and went to Lowe's to get some plywood. Now we know Nothing about wood but bought the old piece of wood from the chair in to use as a measuring guide for the new wood we would use. Well the gentleman associate in lumber asked if the three pieces was all we needed and gave us some better wood and cut it to size for FREE!! This Lowe's is just like any other in the area. Parking at this location is ample, but is hard to get out sometimes as traffic leaving seems to bottleneck at the exits. One of the things I would probably do differently is not come here during a weekend. It tends to be a bit overcrowded, especially this time of year it seems. There isn't anything that would wow me to give more than a three star rating. I was looking at battery mowers instead of gas mowers. The person in that area was quick to help me look for what options I have. I was not planning any type of purchase on that day as I was just gathering info and prices from this and other places as well. They did have a good battery mower that I might consider. As others have said though, I do seem to find more options for many things at Home Depot rather than Lowe's. I also came in last year looking for flooring for the house I purchased, but ultimately went with Home Depot as they had more options, were a bit cheaper, and had free installation. Overall, this is not a bad place to look for general housework and yard work type items. If you're looking for big ticket items, be sure to shop around first. read more

A few minutes ago I was in your store. I was at the self check out. I Was ringing up six of the same item. It didn't register and said that I had to scan again so I scanned and naturally I paid for seven. It was an a lot of money but I mentioned it to the girl there working at customer service and she goes well you can go over there and they will give you your money back. Over there I assumed was The main customer service. I said that it wasn't worth it to go stand in line and I would just forget about it but, I mentioned you might want to get these things calibrate it or something so that they don't do this to other people. She Made a rude sound and turned away from me. I was ready to call the manager and then I decided I didn't want to deal with it anymore and I mean ever. Through away all my paint samples because I won't be doing any business with Lowe's in the future. Every time I've gone there I've been treated rudely or overcharged. I placed an order for flooring at this location. I indicated I would like curbside pickup. I called the store to tell the clerk which "curbside location" I was parked in. I was told by the clerk..." it's raining and we don't do curbside when it's raining..". I explained I am on crutches and could not come in as she suggested. My 87 year old mother had driven me to the store. The clerk hemmed and hawed, I simply drove away. Please explain to me what curbside pick up means? Is this not a courtesy for customers who are not able to come in? Should I have sent my 87 year old mother in to pick up ten boxes of flooring? The customer service here was really good. Diana back in appliances is amazing! She was able to work with us and get us a really good deal on a dryer that was dinged up. Larry was also a big help. My wife is pregnant and he helped load the dryer into my truck when his shift was already over. Plus you get a 10% military discount on anything!!! read more

Order 50 wood fence planks from Battlefield was sent to the store on Blvd because there store didn't have any.Went to pick up at the Blvd store.Spent 2 hours while the staff looked for it.Finally loaded my truck.Got home and they weren't the correct ones either.I called and was told there store didnt have the either but just loaded something in my truck.All I wanted to o is bring them for a return to my original store but was told no because it would mess there inventory up.Called manager at the Blvd who said he would have to call me later because he has so much thrown in his face now.He never called back.They should have never accepted my order if there stores didn't have them and make it easy on the customer and let me return at my Lowes and they should deal with the issue internally.Very bad customer service read more

Less choices than Home Depot I find that I'm often stuck coming here as it is closer to the beach than the HomeDepot is. But I've been finding more and more that Lowe's as a whole is truly lacking in a lot of areas as far as products an merchandising goes. I recently stopped in to look for a particular size furnace filter 18x18x1 and there was absolutely NO filters with the number 18 anywhere in the sizing options. I know this as I've visited this location a few times over the past couple weeks. I also was looking for a 90* plug for an appliance in my house and they also had NONE of those either. Hell Walmart has more of a section than this place, with the exception of lumber, plumbing and conduit. ** Overall I'm just saddened by the shear lack of a selection at this particular Lowe's, perhaps I'm better off driving the extra distance to the Home Depot instead. read more

Lunch is very important to the employees at this store. My wife and I made the mistake of going to Lowe's for new carpet. I would like to say that this review is of Lowe's, and not the contractors that install the carpet. Our story begins on a spring day, excited about our new home purchase my wife and I go to Lowe's to select new carpet. Problem was, that the one person in the entire store who could help us order carpet was at lunch and would not be back for 30-45 minutes. We wait, look at carpet and when the employee finished her chicken (she told us that) we selected carpet. We were very clear that we had a 3 week window in which the carpet needed to be installed, no problem we were told. It was a Monday, and the carpet was expected to be in that Friday, and the installers would have it the following Monday, plenty of time. Monday comes and I check with the installers, they have no delivery of carpet and because they were good at their job they called the warehouse where the carpet was coming from and discovered that it would not be delivered to them for 3 weeks, well outside the window we needed. I called Lowe's to find out what was going on. I was told "oh yea, we got an email last week- carpet is going to be delayed." Trying to salvage our carpet dreams my wife and I went to Lowe's. We are immediately told we need a manager, OK we have a manager. He tells us he can cancel the current order and help us find similar carpet that will be delivered in time. Wonderful! Oh, but he has to go so an associate will take over. Okay.... We select new carpet and go up to the associate, but wait! He has to go to lunch. We were instructed to write down the invoice numbers of the carpets we wanted and he would get to it after the all-important lunch! Bewildered, my wife and I do as instructed but then decide to follow up with the manager who just helped us, however he was not available... you guessed it, lunch. After leaving the store confused and angry I had no choice but to wait to be called. When it was after 5:00 in the afternoon and it was obvious no one was calling me back I again called the store. "Oh yes" I was told, "I'm just getting to that." 20 minutes later they called back and informed me that they can't get any of the carpet we wanted in time, but they were "nice" enough to refund my money. You will save time by renting a truck, and picking up your carpet directly from a warehouse then dealing with these people, especially if you need assistance during lunch. read more
