I have always been fascinated by office supplies and I do love the TV Sitcom "The Office". So only natural that I find it fun to hang out in an office supply stores. However if your not a customer of the chain you may be surprised to learn they have much more than pencils and pens and I do love a great writing utensil. The location is in Landstown Commons on the North side by Walgreens close to the entrance. You will never have to worry about parking as there is an abundance. I found the lot and walk up clear of debris. Upon walking in no initial greeting, but the checkout area is not positioned to lend itself to see customers walking in. No staff was up front. The store presented well and was attractive in a sexy office supply type of way. Major Office Max badging was hung from the ceiling in the rear on a circular type of sign. Everything was clean. My objective was to pick up a three hole punch after mine when kaput. I had an older model off brand and was anxious to see what was offered. To my surprise they offered over a half dozen types from 5 sheets to 50. Both manual and electric with prices ranging from $20+ to $50+. The main brand offered was Swingline which is the best! I picked up a midline to punch 20. I perused the store to kill some time and as I mentioned before I love office supplies anyway. The furniture is in the rear and they have a really good supply of chairs that range from basic to high end. The print shop is up front. As I continued my walk around I was reminded the depth of inventory that Office Max carries. From candy, to cleaning supplies to a few OTC pharmacy needs like Tylenol. Up front at checkout they even have gift cards. I was approached by two staff on the floor at different times. An older lady was particularly friendly and we made small talk. This elevated my review one full star. I see the most recent reviews are very positive. When you see and hear customer service you know it and thank you! My checkout was good and my rewards card applied. The young lady clerk was ok, professional and that's all good. It's always nice for me to hear "did you find everything" which I did not. My credit card transaction was processed without a hitch. I did notice the front of the counter laminate was damaged with a large crack. This store is a solid option for office supply loving customers. I suspect it's less known than Town Center which has a great flow. On my visit it was not busy mid day. I suspect it's because they do not offer road frontage as the store is not new. If your looking for an easy in and out office supply run hit them up. read more

Best service hands down and I did not have to take out a loan to buy the things I needed. The manager, Joe, has an attitude from hell..not only with customers, but also to his employees. My grandmother came in here to buy something off the ad and another employee sent her home with the wrong item. She called back and Joe answered and immediately gave her an attitude which made her pass the phone to my grandfather who ended up settling the matter. I came in to pick up the correct item and return the other. Joe was at the register and didn't feel like conversing. Watched him as another customer came in asking for zip ties and he said they don't carry them go to Home Depot. A female employee politely asked if he was sure thwy don't have any..And was faced with an attitude and nasty look from Joe...very condescending! Hopefully it's just an off day for Joe, but I can't say I'll be back. read more

Today I came in to get some things printed and the Supervisor Matt was super hands on with us customers & wanted to give us the BEST customer service.. he answered ALL questions, was super patient with us, & wanted to make our experience great. Absolute worse experience I've had in customer service in a couple of years and so I am writing this directly after leaving the store. I have ordered a certain type of print for server all years now, YEARS! from this exact location. I come in tonight to pick up a print that I sent in over 6 hours ago. First, it's not ready, then I get told to wait for it which I didn't mind. It finally gets printed and I check out and the lady rings up a ridiculous price considering the print was on the thinnest type of paper. I proceed to tell her that it's not what I've gotten in the past. She doesn't care to listen and grabs the manager. The manager instantly looks at it and agrees it's on the paper I asked for and the price is to be lowered. However, she tries to convince me that from here on out it wouldn't be this price and that everyone before was charging me incorrectly. Funny thing is I've gotten these exacts prints from the manager I speak of. They both did not seem certain in what they were trying to convince me of. They have what you need but the store is grungy and the staff is rude. I asked a simple question about a military discount and heard an angry woman's diatribe in store policy- using her outside voice. She seemed to be trying to shame me for asking for a discount. #rude. read more

I have had all my printing done here for graphic design classes and they have not disappointed me yet.

I use their printing service for small jobs and I have had the pleasure of working with their employee Antione on several occasions. He is always helpful, informative, accurate and timely. He helps me select the most economical choice in paper, color vs bw and folding options. I also go to this location to purchase ink and other office supplies and the other employees are just as good. Great store and they have everything you need but don't expect to be helped! Two sales associates just stood around while customers clearly needed help. Then when it came for me to checkout, 3 people stood behind one register while the lady in front of me had a cart full of items. Meanwhile I had one and waited 5 minutes while they just stood there. read more
