Tried to purchase a toilet through the website. First they messaged saying it would be a day late, however it ended up coming a day early. Good, right? Sure, except the warehouse in Frostproof, FL sent the right toilet tank (1.6GPF) and the wrong bowl (1.28 GPF). No installation was happening now and my project suddenly had to stop. I thought this would be a minor inconvenience, since I just needed a correction to my order. Yet after over an hour of "customer service representatives" closing chat tickets as soon as they saw my issue and telling me they couldn't do anything, or not responding to me and then telling me they haven't heard from me In a while and that they'd close the ticket I gave up and went to the store. Once I got to the store in Spring Hill, FL no one would come to the returns desk to help me unload this 60 pound toilet, it was 7 in the evening and the store hours said they closed at ten. After waiting and several calls over the PA an angry store employee came up and helped me get the item in the store. Once I was able To bring it in, I told them the issue again and all I was offered was a refund. You win Lowe's, I no longer want the product and I hope the cost to ship this toilet back to the warehouse will burn a hole in someone's budget. I really wanted the product too all I needed was half of the toilet to be replaced and the order issue handled. I will NEVER use your website to purchase anything and I offer this warning to anyone else considering doing so. read more

Have to say I appreciated LOWES today, found myself needing a new clothes dryer and they had the exact whirlpool model I needed and it was available in store without a need for ordering at some later date. Was able to buy and take with me. Was told at Famous Tates, Best Buy and Home Depot that I'd have to buy it and they'd order it. Keep in mind they all had whirlpool dryers in the stores on display, but not available to take home. In other words very limited in store inventory. Lowe's was extremely busy as it was the Fourth of July, however Best Buy and Tates was not busy at all. You'd think brick and mortar stores would want to stock and sell more as we all know we can order cheaper at someplace like Amazon. So my appreciation and thanks to Lowe's for understanding that some Americans don't like paying now and getting it later. read more

Ordered a washer and dryer delivery was supposed to be thursday the 15th 11a-3p. Called customer service they stated its on its way at 330. By 630 still no washing machine. Finally get ahold of the wear house, they broke our washer and dryer loading in the truck. Stated they "re ordered" the items and we should get them by sat/sun and would get a text. Here i am on Sunday, no text, no idea if they are even coming. Called again, turns out they never re ordered my items. So they take money with no intention of ever delivering it. One representative stated i cant refund you!!!! Finally got in touch with someone who again is stating she is ordering it AGAIN and that it should be here tomorrow and if not then by Tuesday (at this point just have no faith they will ever show up) And i swear to god if they are not here by then they will be giving me my money back and will not tell me they cant refund me or otherwise i will sue. This company is an absolute disaster and i promise i will never step foot in a lowes or order from them again. Worst customer service, worst delivery system, no one knows what they are doing, and quite frankly they should all be fired! I will never recommend them and will tell this story to anyone looking for appliances. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! If i could rate them a zero i would. Update: Got a call, they are still not delivering my washer/dryer today despite promising it. They are supposedly calling us back later today with an update. this company sucks. Worst staff ever. Went to purchase a new grill that was on sale. I'm an elderly man with back issues. I asked a young man working there if he could help me with a grill in a huge box. He said go get yourself a cart. I walked to the other end of the store near lumber. No carts! Another customer finally gave me theirs as they were checking out. Walked all the back to the grill section and had to wrestle a 115lb box on the cart myself, while this young employee was in the next aisle. By the time I paid for the grill I was extremely upset. I asked the lady at the checkout to call someone to help me load the large box in my truck. Same kid showed up and had an attitude. Bottom line is there's no one around to help, the larger flat carts are scattered around the store, and the employees are rude if you ask for help. This isn't the first time I've experienced this at this location but it will certainly be my last. I'll take my business across the street at your competitor. I was looking for 6 window blinds. They had them and a couple needed cut to measure. I was told the machine was not working but should be soon. Took the binds home and got them up. They fit but the valance didn't. I took those back only to find that the machine that cuts the blinds only cuts the full boxed blind. Headed down to the cut location only to find that it won't cut plastic. Headed to customer service. Talked to Kelly, who was handling about 3 of us at a time! Amazing in its self. That's what customer service is all about! She had me talk to David, a 9 year employee who worked out of the box to get those valances cut! We have used this store to order appliances window treatments large Webber grills flloring whole home windows front doors and granite counter tops and plants. Staff here always friendly and will to direct you Always check out the reduced plant area. On numerous occasions we have bought a wilty or pot broken plant and been satisfied. Horrible experiences a plenty. We mainly went to lowes for the main reason my wife liked the style of their products so we did our kitchen with them. 30k, many months and many issues with what they did but kept doing business cause they threw money at it to smooth it over. Later did a large order for materials for a building. It was like they had collected the worst lumber over time and gave it to me. They would say come the order's ready, I would hitch up, head out get there and be told sorry not really ready then get emails if you don't pick up we'll restock it. Materials got delayed so couldn't pick up the whole order at once and had to repeat the process of its here but really not multiple times. They dbl charged me for things on that order then took forever to fix it saying can't do it by phone you have to be in person, I'd go and be told all set but it wasn't and I had to repeat multiple times before lowes refunded me. Now on 10-20-24 I just wanted to redeem my 10.00 lowes bucks before it expired. I always need 2x4's so went there to cash it in along with a 25.00 gift card and pay the difference with their own card. Their systems crash and now a 30 min trip from start to finish as im 2 miles away turns into being held hostage for an hour telling me you cant leave and you cant load your truck and they need to reboot and rerun it cause they think none of it went through. They rescanned the lowes bucks and the gift card and both showed already used so common sense would indicate that the charge went through on their credit card too and if that wasnt enough I had an alert on my phone from 45 seconds ago which displays the time on the alert thank for your purchase from lowes but instead of just checking themselves or possibly giving me another option for me to check since their site didnt seem to work on my phone they refused to look at the proof I already had on my phone and instead charged a random amount of money. I'm serious about that last part not even the same amount just charge this much since its less we think than what you were possibly charged before so well just go with this much and if there's an issue call us. Got home, there's 2 charges. Call store, told managers all busy, will call you back, no call back. Called next day, put on hold 30 min, call back get manager, with a laugh in his voice before he hung up on me said I won't help you. Call lowes card dept to dispute it. Get told have to deal with store sorry. So lowes wouldn't let me leave without paying even though had proof I paid but they just refused to even look, now won't refund me so theft and extreme incompetence at this point. Will be going to the Orange Guys across the street from now on. Will not hire any contractors that use you for supplies and make sure they use the other guys. Will tell my clients not to use you either. Lastly thank you because of all the companies that have screwed up in my dealings over the years and I mean in all aspects of life yours has won first place as the worst and that's how I will tell your story you can be sure of it. read more

Store going down hill fast. I went there today to do a return and had 3 pieces of tile that wasn't on my receipt from another purchase. They returned everything but the 3 tiles and just flat out refused to give me a store credit of a few dollars. I understand this is there new policy i guess but that wasn't the issue. I had to ask 5 times to get a store manager and finally the customer service lady said fine. She then just walked over to the paint desk to the paint employee and asked him to act like the manager so they could just get rid of me. He came over and just said no you can stand there all day if u like. This guy had zero people skills and was just rude, he obviously was not the manager. So when I got to that area I had not help so I went down another aisle and ran into associate Jessica what a great worker with great customer service she help look for my size I needed but none at this store . She told me I can get them at the next Lowes but I said can you help me order for pick up . So she found them online so I will be getting them next week . I was very impressed. I recently went to the Lowe's in Spring Hill on a Thursday to purchase a refrigerator as my other one had died. The salesman was very helpful and attentive - Vic was his name - and patient. NO complaints there. I had alot of questions. He steered me towards ones that were within my budget and energy efficient. I applied for, and received, a credit card. Paid $40 for them to take away my broken one. Delivery was arranged for Saturday morning. This is where it goes downhill. The delivery driver showed up Saturday on time. When he went to unhook my old refrigerator he stopped and said he couldn't touch it. I repeatedly asked why (his English was not very good) and all he could say was "copper." About 20 minutes later he finally was able to explain that the company didn't allow them to touch copper because of potential problems. He told me I had to contact the plumbing department at the store for help. He dialed the number and the man in plumbing was nasty and said it wasn't his department's problem and said he was transferring me to appliances. It rang 53 times. No answer. I tried again x 2 with same result so I had to put on my shoes and drive over. I spoke with Ann Marie who was extremely nice and helpful. She "dumbed down" the copper issue for me (I am NOT handy at all) and suggested a good plumber (one she personally uses). After getting the plumbing issue taken care of on Monday, I had to go to the store again to schedule the take-away and hook up because nobody answered the phone. It was scheduled for the next day. I received a call from the delivery people the next day at 12:27pm and was told they'd be there in 30 minutes. Almost 2 hours later they still were not there so I called back the number (no answer and voice mail not set up) and the store again. Was transferred 3 times because it "wasn't their department," and was finally given the correct number for delivery. I called and was told that maybe something happened. Could be stuck in traffic. I let them know I called their number. No answer and no voicemail. And mentioned that if there was a delay they could have and should have left me a courtesy call. While on the phone with her, they finally showed up. Now the REAL PROBLEM! One of the guys did not speak English (a word here and there) and the other one was not much better. The one smelled like a goat and his breath was horrible and could be smelled 4 feet away. They bitched and complained the entire time. I have a small facial defect that one pointed to and rolled his eyes and laughed, When hooking up the new fridge, they didn't like what the plumber did so instead of explaining it (wait - language barrier. Not cool), they went outside and called somebody. Stood outside for 15 minutes. Meanwhile my roommate looked at the issue and fixed it. I tried telling these guys that whatever the problem was had been resolved. They refused to come back into the house and finish the job. I was on the phone at the time with Lowe's dispatch. I filed a complaint. Corporate called me and I filed a complaint with them as well. CAUTION: THE DELIVERY COMPANY WAS HENRRY (NO, NOT MISSPELLED) DELIVERY SERVICES, INC. MC 981211. DOT 2911122. THEY ARE CURRENTLY IN BANKRUPTCY (FILED 12/14/2022). Why Lowe's would use a company like that is beyond me. But if you do have a delivery, make sure that you tell them NOT to send Henrry Delivery Services. The reason I gave 3 stars instead of one or none was the salespeople at the store itself - Vic and Ann Marie. They really deserved a 5. But the delivery fiasco - fix that and I'll amend the review. read more

I had to go to the store to pick up a quart of paint that I was using to paint a few interior chairs. I asked for Latex and was looking at a particular paint when the salesman recommended a different one. I listened to him, (not my first refinishing job). I reiterated that I wanted latex paint and gave him the color. I went to pick up a few other items. Picked up the paint,(failed to check it--too trusting of me). Went home, started painting. The paint was not going on correctly. Looked at the can it was enamek-oil based. I tried calling the store a few times, their phone system wasn't working, they were busy and wait times long. The third time I was able to leave a message for the manager to call me. He called me while I was driving in traffic in Tampa and I asked if he could call me back. Check your March bill. buried in (t is a billing charge of $2 to send you a Bill. I spend $3000 to $4000 a month on my Lowe's charge....that is until today...I called and cancelled the card out of principal given the new month;y billing charge. I worked with Lowe's corporate for many years and, as a badge carrying executive focused on fixing the 'friction' across all of their stores, this store was one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had in my life. I will be clear that it was due to one employee, but we were on vacation and I had to return 3 times to get what I needed done right. Not only was it almost entirely impossible to get someone to help me, but each time that I did, she was horrible. And I mean horrible--in my face, hostile, screeching at me that she was sick of being blamed for things, etc.. We were on vacation and had to get a local handyman to help us and he shared that he no longer goes to this store because of this very same individual...and for her to have that level of impact on CLEARLY everyone that comes into contact with her and still be on the floor? Pathetic. I hope corporate picks this up b/c there was no way to write them directly. Hey corporate, this store is bleeding profit b/c no one is minding what's really happening...and they are going to Home Depot across the street. Do the Customer Lifetime Value equation on that. But when I went to the front desk, the two girls at the service or greeter desk were talking and didn't want to be bothered with me. I asked what aisle something was in, at least the girl seem to know, but they went back to their talking, didn't say hello or smile or anything. I had to wait until they were done discussing their paychecks in the schedule. We looked around, but didn't buy anything. Send two more workers a male and a female, cut me off and walked right in front of me like I wasn't even there I had to stop for them. Most of the customers weren't much better. Today was our last day shopping at our local Lowes store in Spring Hill Florida, first all, we were looking for bags of compost, we wanted 10 bags. The employee helping us looked into his computer, and said " we don't have any. Next, we went to buy a new dishwasher, that employee told us there would be an 18 month wait ! We were astounded, and were planning to go across the street to Home Depot. We left through the garden center, and guess what... there were large stacks of the bagged compost they said they didn't have. No, we didn't buy. In the truck, I tapped into Amazon, they had the same dishwasher, for $50.00 cheaper, which I immediately ordered, and it will be delivered between Jan 25 and Feb 3, a far cry from the 18 month wait Lowes expected us to wait for. Lowes better wake up, or they will soon be out of business, They lost about $700.00 in sales today just from us. read more

Our microwave died. No big deal, it was old and we had a gift card for $100 at Lowes so we went in to buy a new microwave. It was the worst mistake ever! We went back by the appliances and looked at all the microwaves they had on display and picked one out. The sales person was helping a customer that was buying an appliance that was there before us so we waited - and waited. In about 15 minutes, there was a shift change so we waited for the next sales person. Even though we were waiting by the desk, she decided someone else needed attention first. OK, it happens and we continue to wait. After half an hour with patience wearing a little thin, it is finally out turn for the opportunity to actually purchase an appliance. She then went ahead and helped two other customers while we still waited. We finally got the opportunity to point out the microwave we wanted only to be told they had no stock on that model and no idea when it would be back in stock. No, we could not buy the display model either. We had to look for an alternate. When we found an alternate she told us that even though it was on display and showed in stock on their website, they didn't have any and asked what other model did we wanted. By this time, we were getting a little frustrated with the experience and asked her what they had in stock because it doesn't pay to keep choosing microwaves they didn't have. She sent us over to a palet containing two units that were "returned" but still in the original boxes. After trying to decipher what units they were and match that up to models they had on display, it became obvious we were not interested in either of the units. We selected a third alternate and asked her to check stock. After several minutes, she came out with a box that looked like it already lived a hard life in transit and may have been opened and resealed. We were not willing to take a chance on it and already had well over an hour invested in one of the most frustrating retail experiences we have ever endured. When we were walking out, she told us she would hold the unit until her shift ended if she didn't sell it first. By this time, we wouldn't buy that microwave (or any other from Lowes) if it was the last one on earth. I have not set foot back in Lowes since that day. We went to Famous Tate to purchase a microwave and were actually treated like customers. Now, one bad employee does not frame the entire store, but the facts that the store is messy, parts are in the wrong bins, the shelves are not stocked and the employees do not seem to care indicate serious systemic problems that I do not need to deal with. I will either go to the Home Depot across the street or Amazon. I am done with Lowes. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! What a mess! First I pulled into to the contractor area at 7:15AM. Some guy with a backpack blower was blowing all the dust and dirt from the area to the parking lot. After getting dust and dirt in my eyes i had to rinse my eyes out. Luckily I carry a bottle of drinking water with me always. Inside the plumbing (pvc area) a total disaster. Doesn't anyone sweep the floor, price the pipe and unbundle it? Plus many fittings out of stock and different fittings in the wrong places. I picked up a few pieces of pipe and left. Went to get some conduit and got the conduit but employee on ladder unwilling to assist. Just totally ignored me even though I said hello three times! If I didn't already have the pipe and conduit on my cart I would have left. Paid, loaded up and went across the street to the competition! Before leaving I took photos of the dirty lot. I was interested in a trailer but the area is too dirty to shop. Found the competition to be very clean and very well organized. As I was looking at my list an employee came up to me, asked if it would be okay if he helped fill my list? Wow! Huge difference! Plus the employee took me over to electrical and knew exactly what I needed! The employee told me if I wanted to save time to buy online, they will pull everything in my order and have it ready to go for me to save me time. The employee took me to the register, helped ring up my items, loaded me up and then took me to look at the trailers. Wow, wow, wow! Going back tomorrow and purchase trailer at competition! This is my third bad experience at Lowes and they say...three strikes and your out! read more

Recently, after checking with nearby appliance options, I ordered a refrigerator, electric range and over the range microwave. Ann Marie handled the order, in store. Lowe's was the only company that offered quick delivery, like the next day or two as opposed to 3-4 week delivery from other options. I'd been without the range and microwave for 10 days as it was. I was surprised to discover they DON'T install over the range microwaves. ?? I was told, it takes 2 men. ??? So be it, I would find an installer. Delivery was punctual and did the job. Refrigerator started running, immediately upon being plugged in, stove? Both appliances never had warranties or tape removed from the inside. (Tons of tape in the fridge/freezer areas and shelves & drawers that got wedged during the move-in were never checked) ?? I also discovered the delivery guys don't reverse handles. ??? According to one of the delivery men, I had to call in for another appointment to get the refrigerator handles reversed. "They don't do that". ??? So, another appointment was set for 12 days later. ??? On that day, rather than any of a technician coming, another delivery truck with two different delivery men came to switch the refrigerator handles. ??? The man that did that job asked why the prior delivery guys that delivered didn't do it? I told him what I'd been told by the prior delivery person. He did the switch (unhappily) and finally smiled after getting their names and tipping them both. ??? After they left, I noticed scratches from his drill, where he'd removed the hinges for both the freezer and fridge door in order to switch. Pictures were then taken. I had a stool there in the kitchen, he could have used to get a better angle.?? All what I call questionable CUSTOMER SERVICE! Would I purchase through Lowe's again. Not without making sure things would go better next time. When delivering appliances, someone with knowledge of them, how to switch handles (without any damage), check that all appliances are ready for immediate use (tape removed in all areas inside refrigerator/freezer, tape removed in oven and that oven/burners are working properly, along with making sure the manuals are given to the owner) before leaving the home. A checklist might be a good idea. PS: The appliance, all Whirlpool, are working fine and finding an installer for an above range microwave that's reasonably priced can be done! :) read more

I just wish I knew why employees always seem to go out of their way to be helpful to as few customers as necessary. Two customers in an aisle can both be offered help, especially by two employees. I am a handicapped person, and the store is just too big to walk, so when I go, I need to use a scooter supplied by Lowe's, and don't get me wrong I do appreciate the fact that they provide but for the last 3 visits, the supplied scooter has died while using in store, and yesterday was the last straw, I actually got stranded 3 times with 3 separate scooters! Yes 3 times, all showed full bars and then just went to one and dead in 3 seconds, are you kidding me, this is a clear sign of a spent battery, I'm sure if 3 scooters did this at 2;30 in the afternoon, they are all spent, well I will not be going to Lowe's until they fix the scooter issues , very upset! If your handicap, I would suggest Home Depot across the street, they at least have addressed the issue, and you can get a good scooter sometime, but not this Lowe's they are all dead ! So I need some new cabinets for a new home I bought. Against my better judgment, having had a previous unsatisfactory experience with Lowe's, I gave them a 2nd chance. I spent 2 hours on their website on 2 different occasions and was unable to complete the application for their credit promotion. 9 times I filled out the online form that promised a "30 second decision". 36 hours later, I was no closer to a "decision". I filled out their "contact" link on the website and got a response from a complete nit wit, who hadn't really bothered to read the email I had sent. I responded by suggesting she read my contact form and then respond ... 7 days later, I'm still waiting. So I submitted a direct inquiry to the store and was contacted by a "kitchen designer", who basically wouldn't talk to me, until I paid a $75 charge to have my kitchen "measured". I live 1500 miles away and don't have much time to deal with this and she assured me that she'd get the kitchen measured and be prepared when I got to Florida. She may have been prepared, but she wasn't ever at the store, nor available by phone. I went to the store 3 days in a row and each time, spent over 30 minutes trying to find someone ... anyone ... in the kitchen cabinet department. The department was completely unmanned and not a soul in the building who seemed to have a clue about cabinets. After being totally aggravated, I decided to visit a competitor across the street. Unannounced, without an appointment, I just showed up in their kitchen cabinet department. There were 3 "designers" available and within 10 minutes they had arranged to have my home measured at no charge and offered a number of alternatives for my cabinet and counter-top needs. BTW, I've requested a return of my $75 "measurement charge" from Lowes, but per usual ... I haven't received a response from them. Bye, bye Lowe's! read more

Your standard Lowe's, nothing better or worse than any other Lowe's. A clean store with lots of friendly employees.

I doubt if they know me but it always seems like they go out of their way. In a previous post I had a horrific time with Home Depot. With Lowe's, I don't have to worry about that. I know what I want ... know where to find it ... and help is always abundant. *** was looking for square U bolts, among other things. I couldn't find them but, with two guys looking for them, I felt they loved their jobs. I did order them on Amazon yesterday ... didn't think they would have them but excited to get my project done. read more

I'am is Lowes almost every week picking up something for my house. Trying to get out of my parking space is a nightmare. Can't see past the SUV's-Trucks as big as tanks and Vans, I HAVE AN IDEA! Why not have these vehicles park on one side of each lane. Have sedans and regular cars park on the opposite side of the lane. I drive a regular car. In a alot of states they put signs saying " compact cars only." Just wanted to bring it to your attention! I live in Spring Hill. read more

Orderrd carpet. After 3 attempts to install and taking time iff workm it was the wrong size. Chris the manager promised he would take care of it and 2 weeks tume it would be installed. 3 weeks a call to install in 3 weeks! Custimer service never answers the phone. I lived here 33 yrs. And will be shopping at Home Depot! 3 months later and I dont have my carpet! Extremely poor service. read more

This Lowes... blows! When you walk around... the people are annoyed with you needing assistance. Passed that, We got a door. It was 500$ and I was told someone would be here 3 days later to take measurements. It happened 2 weeks later. Called Lowes to ask what is going on? I got transferred 3 times and hung up on. I called back and got what sounded like Shaggy from Scooby Do. He asked me twice... are you sure we didn't call you? I lost my cool right then. I want to "Follow up" as much as I like being caught in a hurricane. I STILL have yet to have the door installed. Home Depot is right across the street. Do yourself a favor and go there instead. If I could give these guys zero Stars I would. Absolutely ridiculous they tell you that because I'm a veteran I have to register with my Lowe's in order to get my discount and I do so and they tell me I'm all hooked up in the whole track all my purchases attached to my phone number. I go in there needing a receipt to warranty out a DeWalt battery and they have no record of anything I've ever purchased even though every time I purchase something I give them my phone number that supposedly attached to a my Lowe's account. Talk to the store manager Samantha Who basically told me oh well sorry nothing I could do for you. I will take my business across the street to people who have a clue will never shop here again. read more

Went with my parents and the 3 of us split up. Not one person asked any of us if we needed any help. I got a lady to help me decide on new window blinds. She treated me like an idiot. She didn't like my measurements because they had been recorded length by width and 'that's backwards'. I told her I just wanted her advice because this store is much bigger than my local Lowes (Thomasville, Ga) with many more options. She just stared at me. Standing there with my measurements, ready to replace every single window blind in my house and I walked out because she frustrated me so much. read more

Lowes is great. Waiting for 30 min to pick up an online order. 20 or more associates just walk by and don't acknowledge you. This is why Home Depot is winning. read more
