Love Lowe's. The smell of lumber so great! A little more pricey in some areas but a fan since Chicago. We went there for mulch on special 5 for 10. Store was clean, busy and staff working hard. Lowe's lumber, home goods, appliances and paints all quality for me. Mission accomplished, carts were a struggle as not very large for 8 bags of mulch. The mulch was wet and I wish they could find a way to better protect it from elements where stored on parking lot. It was so heavy and no real easy way to load it . After Lowe's installed my new washing machine the pipes to it were now leaking. The spin cycle if this new washing machine did not work so I had to order another one. When I called to order a new one I told them of my leaking pipes and they said they were not responsible, but when the new machine arrived they said they would not install it because if they did they would be responsible for the leak....the leak they created when they installed the first one. The leak btw they did not mention during first installation, after using a towel they found in my laundry room to dry up water, they just threw the towel on the floor in corner of the room for me to find later....losers! read more

We bought a new fridge from Lowe's and water hose wasn't properly connected. Within 24 hours our house got flooded and had 25k worth of damage. Lowe's refused to do anything about it telling us that it is a third party they hired who is liable. I filed a claim with my home insurance and the last thing I have heard is that this third party might not have had proper insurance. Thus, they might not be able to collect all money for it. In a meanwhile, our home insurance skyrocketed ! And we have not been made whole on any of the damages. read more

I'd give it a zero star, but it won't let me... so, I hope you check your price tags!! Because we went to get a new shower head, they placed a $28 label on it. So we thought "why not?" It's a double header shower head on sale!! Go to check out and it comes up to $54. We asked the cashier about it, and spent 20 minutes trying to figure it out, only to find out that they tried to make it look like we switched the price tag!! Awful customer service! Purchased a new shop vac from Lowe's Shakopee, got it home unboxed it to find out the plastic handle was broken. Defiantly not Lowe's fault probably happened during transit/shipping. Drove it all the way back to Lowe's to EXCHANGE the vacuum. Explained what the issue was asked the customer service rep if they had anymore in stock as this had been the last one on the shelf. She wouldn't even look to see if there were more until after she completed the "refund" not the exchange that I wanted. She gave me my money back on original vacuum and then finally looked to tell me there were 4 more back in isle 17. That was it....there was no "let me call someone in that department and have them run it up here for you"or even at the least "I'll call someone to meet you back there." Nope! All I got was there was 4 back in aisle 17 bay 22 to which I explained, "I got the last one when down low when I was just here are the other ones up high?". To which she responded "I'm not sure...if you don't see one then find someone back there and they should be able to help". Long story short, I went back to isle 17, no vacuum on shelf just as I knew there wouldn't be, took 5 min to track an employee down for help and another 10 min for him to find a ladder and retrieve the vacuum from way up high. All this to say a business who has good customer service would have called back to have someone retrieve a new vacuum for me while the exchange process was happening. This will have to be my new go-to home improvement store. I went in needing very specific light bulbs and some blinds cut. A guy in the lighting department knew exactly what light bulbs I needed and took me to the blinds and cut them. Like, when do you ever go to a store and find someone who can help you find everything you need? Great customer service, I'll be back just for that. read more

Authentic hardware establishment. Makes you feel like a handy person in any capacity. Found out Lowes carries certain brands, make sure to research if they carry the brand you're looking for. Signage is easy to read and very visible. Sections are well kept and distinct. Staff were to themselves, I was only approached by 1 staff but passed 7. No problems with LG appliances, years later. $89 trees doing great years later. Fitpit great also, after 5 years. Only negative is both stores are a 20+ min drive from my home. I have been waiting on a water heater for over three weeks, the first day they were supposed to deliver it, they left me hanging ALL day and did not call to let me know that it was not coming for another week. Then today, they left me hanging ALL day when it was supposed to be here by 1 p.m. - No call again, I had to call them. I have things to do, and it's not to waste my day chasing Lowes around to tell me where my order is. I absolutely cannot believe this shit show. Twenty-five years later and I am done with Lowes! Have spent THOUSANDS at this store in the past couple weeks. Purchased several more cans of paint. One of the paint cans were bad. Huge globs, skin layer, weird coloring. Can't use it Brought it back to store and they refused to return the can. Nice woman started return. Some guy comes up, cancels the order, tells her to hold on and walks away. Several minutes go by waiting.... he finally returns and rudely explains that he is waiting for a manager. He can't return This can of paint because it is Sherwin Williams and I have to call the vendor. Wait several more minutes and he tells me that manager left 20 min ago. If I want I can wait 10 more minutes for another woman; when she is done with customer and ready for me? He then added she won't help me and I'll be referred back to Sherwin Williams again. Horrible service! Your store gave bad paint.... why do I have to jump thru a bunch more hoops now??! Customer service rep was smug, rude and abrasive. If he had been at all friendly and not a jerk this wouldn't be so upsetting. I shared that I have over $500 of unopened items from the previous purchase. Lowe's is one of the worst managed stores and poorly trained. I would not go unless i had to. I had a warranty for my water heater and went in to get a new water heater. I went to customer service and was given a gift card to buy a new water heater which I chose and tried to pay for but was told that it would be way easier to pay the contractor when the job was done. thr empolyee even asked a manger because i was unsure about his response. I trusted him and had Ecowater(possibly a lows sub contractor) install my water heater. When i tried to pay, I was told to use the link and asked where the gift card area and said he was unsure and to go to the store's customer service. I then drove to Lowe's and talked to the customer service and was told i was unable to pay with a gift card and that I had to use the grift card on the Lowe's mobile customer service number. I was told that i was never suppose to get a gift card and was suppose to be credited for my new one and to talk to the stores customer service in person again. They then spent over an hour trying to figure out the gift card to credit to my account. I was told it was suppose to be in my account by the end of the day and still have not seen the money. The most frustrating part was just the experience that all of this could have not happened if they were trained. It doesn't help that the manager looked even more clueless when asked any questions. this lowes has downgraded throughout the years -- the employees are so rude and "useless". i was here weeks back to use my mom's lowes credit card to buy painting stuff for our walls. she made me go buy them. she was fully aware. she thought she didn't need to come to vertify it was herself but that was my fault. first off, no one helped me nor greeted me -- i might be sounding like a B but customers ur first priority for them to feel welcome'd & if they need any help. second, asking questions to the lady in the paint section was not helpful and had a nasty attitude. third, the amount of employees yall have doing nothing..... crazy lol! and when my card did not work... i was left feeling stupid afterwards. they didn't want to help me figure out why the card didn't work, so they put my cart aside and had to come later with my mom. but later, i learned that it wasn't activated so this part of the experience was my fault too. i hope you guys have better employees that are much nicer and trained about what lowes represents as a company. cuz this is so embarrassing lol... read more

We were getting our floors done in the basement and thought Lowe's was the answer, it sadly have been the worst jobs I have had people hired for. Firstly there estimated time for getting the supplies for flooring was 2 week later. Then when we finally got the materials when we scheduled the installation the week later, they cut corners and made the floors with gaps. The worker kept asking what was suppose to be done like they were not informed about what the contracted job was for. The the end of the first day I asked them why the baseboard and floors have a massive gap. They asked if they were suppose to do it. I showed them the forms what we paid for and then they said they don't have the materials for it. So for the last month and a half we have been waiting for them to finish the job. We have called Lowe's several time and the workers say they don't know and the flooring employee can help and they have been difficult and kept saying it'll be solved in a week but it has been over a month. What happens a few days ago was we got a call that the worker are coming back but Lowe's never sent the additional materials. The worker came in, got the floors dirty with dirt and dust and just left again. What's even worse was Lowe's made us pay before the job was even done, like get the job done then make people pay. read more

READ the reviews!! Do not buy appliances from Lowes. You will get no where with the Customer Care or Ecowater systems ( MN) the outside company they use to install. I bought a microwave and purchased the additional installation. Because I chose installation it was 3 1/2 weeks out due to the installer schedule. I was fine with that as my husband would not have the worry. I took the morning off of the scheduled date only to receive a phone call from the installer that my microwave was not at the store. I immediately called Customer Care and she confirmed with the store that it was there. She said the only thing she could do was leave a message with the installation company but someone would call me back. Finally at 3:00 I called only to be told my installation was rescheduled?! I didn't reschedule. I am not taking off work again. So we went to the store, cancelled the installation, picked up the microwave and installed it ourselves -only to pull the plastic off to find a dent. I immediately called the store. The do not have one in stock. I called customer care, they are closed. I called this morning only to be told to return the microwave and buy another. Like it easy to just remove it off the wall. She said because this started with an install issue she was going to transfer me. Amber from installation then proceeded to tell me I shouldn't have cancelled the install and should have waited for a call back. WHAT! I waited an entire day and no one called me back. No one would transfer me to a manager and not one person helped me. We are now literally ripping the microwave off the wall to return it to the store. I Will NEVER buy an appliance from Lowes nor would I recommend them. The worst experience ever! read more

I went out to this Lowe's to look at a backpack leaf blower, and it was $199 for a Husqvarna 150 BT. When I got to the checkout it rang up as $299, so I asked the manager and we looked at the tag that was on the model on the shelf, and they tagged it wrong for $199. I gave him the opportunity to help me but he refused to and said sorry it's $299 and I said OK I'll just get it somewhere else. I'm in sales and if I mid price something, I admit my mistake and sell it to the customer as it was priced. I posted before about this store with 5 stars. Disappointed with my shopping trip today. Have not the employees been trained in social distancing? Several times when I was attempting to get through an isle or find an item to purchase the employee was in the way and made no effort to move. There were 3 employees in a the small area where I was attempting to purchase a towel rack. They were just visiting and ignored my attempts to shop. Same with the garden area. I will not return while our MN social distancing orders are in effect. Menards is doing a great job at social distancing and they care enough about their staff to provide them with masks and gloves. read more

I ordered a shower door June 7. With the full understanding it would take awhile to come in. So July 26 and 27 I called in spoke to a customer service person and they said they would take a message and get back to me. Neither message was returned . I called again August 19th. I was told that it was never ordered. The shower door style was discontinued 2days after I ordered it. No one ever called me. So much for being patient. We had carpet installed by Lowes and the installers scratch up all are brand new paint and wood work and did nothing to fix the problem. To top it off I had a plumber here and I told them the water would off and one of the installers took a crap in are brand new toilet and of course he couldn't flush it or wash his hands just gross had to clean are brand new carpet and all are walls I would NOT recommend having carpet installed by lowes. read more

I just bought the stainless Kitchen Aid gas range/dual oven. I gotta tell you the reason I decided to spend 2 months pay on this fine unit was only to make frozen pizzas and the occasional ramen noodle. One might think buying a commercial grade range for home use is just plain stupid.....well not me. When I have the guys over once every 5 years for poker parties and they'll be soooo impressed I can cook 2 Bernatello's at the same time perfectly! That alone makes it worth the cost and pain of extensive cleaning (who am I kidding, I'm not cleaning it. Ever.). I rated this unit at 5 stars. I now realize I have a horrible gluten allergy and those perfectly cooked pizzas the unit produced turn me into a walking, talking frozen yogurt machine. read more

The staff are very friendly and helpful without being obnoxious. The store is well organized and clean. The prices are a little higher (in general) than Home Depot or Menards, but they have some good deals. Lots of kudos to them for doing tons of 90% off deals on-line for Black Friday. Called in to verify they had paint that I was looking for. Was told they had the product and answered all my questions so I knew it was what I wanted and quoted me the price. When I got there, they not only did not have the product, they tried to say I misunderstood them but that I could purchase product that was way more they quoted me. They quoted me $9.00 but then tried to tell me I had to pay $38. Went to Home Depot and paid $11. When management got involved, they would not even talk to me in person, they went thru customer service. Not good business. read more

My wife and I recently moved from California. Like all other Minnesotans, we needed a snow blower. I have never purchased one before, so I wanted to make sure that I got all the info I needed. We shopped around at other stores. To be honest I wasn't getting the customer service that I was looking for. I have never been to Lowes, but I wanted to give it a shot. My sales guy Mike Buck, was the best! He was very knowledgable about the whole line up of snow blowers, plus very friendly and honest. He didn't try to steer me to get something I didn't need. I got set up with a great snow blower that fit our needs. Once I purchased the snow blower and leaf blower, Mike took the time to help get it in my car. We had to break down the snow blower to make it fit, and he was very patient and helpful. read more

we hired Lowes Shakopee to install 200 square ft of linoleum and they came out and botched the job. Wrong transition strips used, didn't know how to install tack strips, put tack strips in with tacks facing the wrong way, Didn't space transition strip correctly. when I tried to get the installers to come back to fix correctly, we set a time and date. They never showed and didn't call. next day I called to find out what happened( gave them the rest of the day just incase) and he put me on hold and came back saying he just talked to the installers and they would call me in a couple of minutes. Never called. I called again and set ANOTHER repair date. Guess what?... Never showed , never called, I took two days off work for nothing!! I finally just called the credit card company and cancelled the payment. Had to hire someone else to finish the install correctly! Buy the product from Lowes BUT DO NOT EVER HAVE THEM INSTALL IT! read more

Five star, outstanding customer service at the Shakopee Lowes! I ordered carpet for our master bedroom from Lowes. Somehow, when I bought it, the wrong color was put down on my order (I remember pointing to the sample on the board and saying "this one" but I think the guy read the color name at the top of the swatch, which was actually the name of the sample ABOVE it. He should have taken the name from below the sample swatch). I even missed the mistake when they asked me to sign the purchase order. They showed up and installed the carpet a few weeks later. After I signed off saying everything was installed to my liking and I started putting the room back together, I noticed that the paint color on the walls and the carpet did not match nearly as good as I thought it would. I looked at the paperwork and to my horror I discovered that the wrong (although similar) color was ordered and installed. I burst into tears! We had saved for over a year to be able to buy nice carpet for our home and it was wrong. I called Lowes and was totally expecting them to tell me "Tough luck lady - you had several opportunities to catch the mistake!" Guess what they did? They apologized and said they would make it right! Incredible! You don't get that kind of service these days, let alone from a big box store. A few weeks later the incorrect carpet was removed and the the beautiful, correct carpet was installed...at no additional cost to me. I am so grateful to Lowes and so impressed with them. They have won a customer for life. I now go out of my way to shop here because they treated me so well (even though Home Depot is much closer). Thanks, Lowes. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! read more
