Great shop for all home needs ! I always go to Home Depot and Lowe's is also a great option ! They have better inventory than some of the Home Depot locations that I went too. I was upgrading my bathroom and looking for vanities etc . They had good options overall. Nice location . Lots of other shops around the vicinity . Lots of parking available . There wasn't much help around ! I wanted to ask some questions for help but not many around . Wish the service gets better . Paint options are good . Tile / kitchen varieties are ok . @ Princeton, NJ We have done our floor and windows past years with Lowes. We also bought/buy various items to update our house. For our recent visits, we found that there are limited selections so had to goto home depot to get items we needed for the kitchen cabinet knobs and screws. We were looking for a tiles to do the kitchen back splash and it was very disorganized that it was very hard to locate the tiles we were interested. Also, the people who work there are not nice and helpful. read more

I started a renovation of my laundry room with a Lowe's Designer. His design was what i had envisioned so i started the process. Unfortunately that's when things went wrong. They have many steps involved in completing the project which was confusing. I kept calling the designer and he was helpful . However, He did give my flooring person the wrong measurements and we ended up with a gap between the floor and the cabinets. The team that was scheduled to install the wash tower decided that they didn't want to do it and no one called me to cancel the installation. I had to hire a plumber to install the machines. The cabinets installers refused to follow the design i agreed to with the designer and they did not even have a schematic to follow. All in all i would not go with Lowe's home improvement services. read more

Scanned one thing twice and didn't scan another. Seemed like a simple fix but the customer service lady was giving a guy attitude because she didn't like the way he spoke. He was just exasperated after waiting around and given a run around. Another guy asked a question and they didn't know what to do so he had to look up their own site on his phone. It took all three people at the desk to focus on this for 20 minutes. Then she was about to let someone cut in line because I was shaking my head. Meanwhile theres a half dozen people just standing around by the registers on their phones. I walked out the first time and the alarm went off and they did nothing. Came back in after I figured it out and it went off again. They didn't care. After it was "fixed" it went off again. They didn't even look up. I was told by the district manager Tom that the store manager, Doug is involved but no direct contact from him as of yet. I just don't understand why I need to chase every update, when I literally brought the business to them for a renovation project that is over $300,000. The delays to my customer's projects are extremely impacting their project at this point. What is the solution? Where is management? $18,748.75...where's the beef?! read more

In the whirlwind of a large home improvement project I guess I never got around to reviewing this location. I did buy a few large items here and frequently have purchased minor needs too. This is my closest Lowes but for some idiosyncrasy on my part, I went to the Hamilton location more. I usually try to check out at the gardening entrance and the customer service there is stellar. It is an overlooked express checkout in the store. I do tend to favor L over HD in most aspects, but with a slightly different product mix both chains are in my rotation. read more

I had a truly awful experience with Lowes. I am far from a Karen but this experience is mind boggling. We purchased a wall oven-microwave combo from Lowes last October. We had confirmation of a delivery date for this past February. Turns out Lowes didn't communicate with the shipment company they use and that was a fake delivery date. Not good if you are trying to do renovations and was trying to plan a kitchen reno around this oven's scheduled arrival. The oven actually wasn't available for another 6 months if that. Luckily we scrambled and were able to find an oven from Home Depot of similar dimensions to our kitchen designed around this oven from Lowes. The rest should be simple right? Get my money back from Lowes. I paid them almost $4000 since last November for this oven. I'm not asking for interest. I just want my money back. Well after waiting on line for over 45 minutes at the Lowes store they said they would be able to refund me for the oven but I would have to call Lowes customer care separately to get my $300 back for the protection plan. Well I tried doing that but after being on hold for an hour the lady hung up on me. I even asked her for a direct call back number in case we got disconnected before she suddenly hung up. She told me don't worry. Yet another hoop I have to jump thru is that after getting all the money back on my Lowes credit card I have to call the credit card services again to cut me a check because who wants that much balance sitting on a Lowes credit card? There shouldn't be this much difficulty getting a refund for my interest free loan to Lowes. They should be rolling out the red carpet after all the pain I went thru. read more

I'd like to state that I'm a notoriously patient person. I understand things happen and mistakes are made. However, this location has been nothing short of an absolute nightmare. We ordered a dishwasher several weeks ago and got a delivery/install date. I stayed home to receive the delivery and waited HOURS past the delivery time. There was zero communication, and it never came. Total waste of a day. After DAYS of trying to contact someone, we were told there were issues with the delivery, the order would need to be cancelled and redone. The only way to do this was to come in person, complete a new order and install and sign a new contract. My husband took a day off to drive to this location, redo the entire process and make sure it was correct. This time the dishwasher and install were set for 6/10/24. I again stayed home to make sure it was taken care of. No dishwasher, no call, no communication. We called multiple times to see what was going on and could not get an answer. I finally spoke to someone this afternoon after going online and seeing our order was CANCELLED. The gentleman was unsure what was going on and now told me I was unable to order the dishwasher I needed because it's magically out of stock. When I asked how to resolve this, I was told I could only speak to the appliance manager and left my contact information. She called while I was in a meeting, and I returned her call less than an hour after she reached out. She never picked up the phone or was unavailable the 3 times I called while she was in the building. I was finally told she was not able to speak with me today and I'd have to call back tomorrow. Still no conversation about my missing dishwasher, resolution to the situation other than you're SOL, we have none of that make and model or even an apology for wasting 3 days of work to have no appliance. We've also been charged on our Lowes card for all of this mess both times. I should mention this has been going on for close to a month now and we have 5 kids. The worst place to shop for lumber. I took lumber from one pile... From the same batch of wood and 5 of them have a different price. I was asked to go back and get different wood. There is no way to select studs from the same pile that have the same price. Finally, I gave up and just asked them to keep the lumber. It was just a very bad customer experience and I don't think they have a clue of what it takes to put 30 pieces of these studs onto the cart and then keep going back and forth. Went to purchase a dishwasher from here and it was a nightmare from the start! This store needs to be more organized and communicate with its customers! After purchasing a Miele dishwasher and verifying it was in stock, I had an install date set for the following week. Install day comes, and I didn't receive a call with a time window and they never even showed up! No apologies, nothing! Then they automatically rescheduled over a week later without reaching out to me!! I tried to get them to install it sooner and nobody followed through! The salesman was useless as well. I'm kind of glad it didn't work out, I read the reviews about their install company and truthfully, I didn't have faith in them to install it correctly! Done with LOWES! I've never been so disgusted with a business in my life. I ordered a refrigerator from the Hanover, NJ LOWES in SEPTEMBER and when the delivery guys got it to the house, 4 weeks later mind you, they refused to take the handles off to get it in the house. I, stupidly, ordered another (slimmer) model that would fit in the door with less "inconvenience" for the poor delivery guys. My delivery window was 8am - 12pm. They didn't bother to call during that 4-hour window, as if I have nothing else to do with my life. They called at 12:30pm to inform me that "the panel" was "damaged" and that they wouldn't be able to deliver the refrigerator. They must have thought I was stupid - I know that it comes boxed up from my experience in October so how would they even know it was damaged before they got it to the house?!!?! there's no way they could have known it was damaged. Apparently they were delayed, wanted to "clock out," and didn't want to deliver my refrigerator. I would not expect this type of customer service after spending $3,000+ but there you are. Horrible service. My brother in law ordered a custom door and a window. It took a week to get it shipped to the store (which isn't bad), but when we went to pick it up it took them an hour and 55 minutes to locate it. I caught up to him and stood in front of him and asked, where can I find an allen wrench. He responded, "In the tool section". I responded, "where is the tool section?" He pointed at the section and said I could find someone there that can help me. Went to the tool section and Ed helped me find what I needed and I bought the wrench!!! Went to look for the sales associate so I can get his name and upon seeing him, he asked me, "What do you want now?" I told him just his name, that I got from his vest. We had Granite countertops installed last year. Overall, it was a good experience. The kitchen design associate we worked with was knowledgeable. The price was actually lower than we had expected. Our associate set up the info for the quarry company who cut the countertops and the installers who worked quickly and did a perfect job. No snags, no surprises. I have ordered a Samsung washer dryer from Lowes West Windsor, NJ 2-3 weeks back and scheduled delivery on July 10th. July 10 - The XPO guys came and found stacking kit was missing screws and asked me to return it in Lowes and get new one. I did the same day and rescheduled deliver on July 11. July 11th - The XPO guys came without washer and dryer and informed that Lowes sent them for installation without sending washer and dryer. I called Lowes and informed them and escalated to store manager. they told they have rescheduled to July 13. July 13- I was waiting from morning, XPO changed the delivery times twice. Finally, I got a call from them around 6PM an they mentioned washer/Dryer is heavily damaged and has dents/scratches. They have asked is it fine to deliver, why would I order new washer and accept dent/Scratched ones. I told no and called store and spoke to few store managers/Supervisors and explained the situation stating I already donated my old washer/dryer based on July 10 delivery date and requested them to expedite. I was told July 24 is next delivery date and they will try to expedite for me, I also called customer service and raised complaint 4 days back (Incident No 1-30404720263), calling them daily on the complaint status and no solution or response. Please stay away from Lowes if you need an on-time delivery without appliance or property getting damaged. I am seeing almost everyone posted negative reviews on Lowes XPO delivery and these guys are still with them. read more

I went into Lowe's at West Windsor with a badly broken kitchen drawer hoping to find an exact replacement. We walked up to Ed,, who looked like a fairly senior employee, hoping that he would be able to point us to the section where we could find the exact color and size match. Ed started by clarifying that Lowe's does not have individual drawers but complete systems of cabinets. However, he then looked at the broken piece and walked us across to the section which had various kinds of glues. he helped find the right one, and explained the entire process ho fixing the problem, twice over. He made sure we did not miss a step. I have repeatedly had great experiences at this store and despite Home Depot being a little closer, I always keep going to Lowe's for all our needs. As recent home buyers, we are just learning all that it takes but it really helps to have people like Ed around. read more

Yesterday (11/3/2021) I visited Lowes to purchase some grout cleaning products. I couldn't find anyone to help me so I asked someone in the paint department, Alex. I thought he would just point me to some aisle and be done but instead he walked me over to show me what I needed. Alex in the painting department was great! He was professional, listened to what I needed help with and very knowledgeable. He also did a great job balancing customers at the paint desk while helping me out. He was friendly, approachable, and understanding. He took his time explaining everything to me and I left feeling very confident for my project. However, I recently had a couple questions to ask at the customer service desk, and the rep answered my first question with an attitude that came off as bad to me, then brushed me off to socialize with a co-worker before I got my second question out. Two months ago we had some carpeting installed by their service contractor. After they left, we noticed a very evident defect. In the middle of the carpet is a zig-zag pattern. It is very clear that it was cut incorrectly and patched up. The installers did not mention any issues. We have been in contact with assistant store manager, Nigel Kennedy. Either calls are not returned or when they are, the response is "we'll look into it". He is supposed to contact the carpet company, Shaw Industries to follow up. We have made numerous calls for updates and have visited the store and there has not been any follow-up on their part. This matter needs to be resolved immediately. Based on this experience, we will never purchase any items that require installation nor will we recommend Lowe's. I am looking forward to a response. read more

If there was an option to rate negative, this store would take the cake. Some of the store staff are unhelpful, driven by stereotypes, and extraordinarily rude to customers. Not difficult to spot these gems. Many reviews here on Yelp say it, so be informed. If you have to deal with Customer Service you will realize how bad it can get. Not that some other staffers are more professional, just that Customer Service sets a benchmark. And the store manager was not traceable when we wanted to bring this to his attention. After a couple of tries in reaching the manager, we gave-up. It seemed like the rot is top-down. I rate this store as the WORST among the Lowes I have visited in NJ. No more $$s to be spent here. Recently I ordered a product on line, turned out to be defective, and I had to return it in order to get credit. I have a mobility problem so this was an issue. The local manager very nicely called me, sacrificed his lunch break to come to pick up the defective item, and replaced it with a good one.
