I don't recommend the Flooring Department at Lowe's in Lima, Ohio. They're horrible at following up/through. We have tried three times now to get flooring and their Flooring department has failed miserably. We were going to use Lowe's to install flooring in our basement. Someone came out and measured, but no one ever followed up with the pricing and next steps. Then we tried to get carpet for our bedrooms. Had an appointment set for August 20th between 8-12:00 for measurements. No one ever came. We called our local store (Flooring Department) and they said they would call us back within 15 minutes. We never heard back from them. We called them today and all we got was the run around. We told them forget it because we purchased our flooring through Northwest Flooring in Lima, Ohio. I came by Lowe's weeks ago for a number of reasons. I needed bulbs, nails, and other hardware because I was making improvements to my new home. It was easy to find what I was looking for and to pay for my items. They had an extensive lighting section. I was looking also to buy some ceiling lights and chandeliers and I wondered as I walked out the door whether I should buy any of them. Because of the ease of the purchase, I wondered if I also should purchase appliances I needed for my home at this store. I didn't think about it until well after my purchase. I called the store to talk to a salesman... I got transferred multiple times before I got to the appliance section and then I waited for 25 minutes and then the phone hung up. I called again, same process a second time... same wait and then... hung up on. Oh well, if you don't want my business I will go somewhere else. read more

In December I went the our local Lowe's to pick out a new storm door since the one on our new house was/is broken. The size I needed wasn't what they carry in stock, so I had to order online and have it delivered to the store. I ordered the door online and got the bundle that allowed you to choose a handle as well. I placed the order Dec 10th, but the door didn't arrive until Jan 10th. On the 11th I went and picked up the door and brought it home. It was too cold to install it right then, so we didn't open up the box for about a week or so. When we did we discovered the handle wasn't with the order. I went to Lowe's that week and asked if the handle for my order was there. Customer Service couldn't find it. They said the guys in the back were gone and they couldn't ask someone about it until the next day and they'd call me when they located it. A week goes by and no call. So I go back to the store... On my second visit I'm told they couldn't locate it in the back and that it may have went to the floor to be stocked. I asked if we could check their inventory or if that was the case could I just go grab one of the in stock ones since it was a product they carried in the store and I was told no, if they had made a mistake and it wasn't on the floor than their inventory would be wrong/short and was told again that they would look into it and call me. The third time I came to the store about two weeks later I was told by CS that they definitely didn't have my handle. So I asked if I could be refunded for the handle and then I'd go buy one of the stock ones. Because the online receipt didn't itemize the door and handle separate they told me no, they couldn't do that. So by now I'm frustrated, they literally have the handle I ordered in stock, I paid for a handle, but they won't give me a handle. At that point the CS rep said that they would probably have to order a second handle and I might have to pay for it so that it didn't come up as a loss in their system. I'm like, why would I need to pay twice for something you lost and I asked to speak to a manager, but conveniently all the managers were in a meeting and unreachable. I was told yet again that the CS rep would talk to a manager to find a solution and call me. Today, two weeks after my last trip to Lowe's, with still no return call or solution, I walked to the door department and picked up the first black handle on the rack. I started to take it up to CS, because I was determined, come h*ll or high water I wasn't leaving the store without a dang handle. I flip the box over to make sure I got the right one for my type of door and I kid you not, it has my name on it!! The handle I've been waiting on them to locate for two months and I find it myself collecting dust on the rack on the sales floor that they were apparently just too lazy to check Four trips to Lowe's later I have my handle and a $40 gift card for my "troubles." I should have just gone and checked the rack sooner, but come on with the massive customer service fail. Very disappointed in Lowes. Ordered a privacy fence and people to install were supposed to be here on Thursday. We waited until Thursday about 1 p.m. before we texted the guy who had texted us and said he would be here Thursday. He answered back that the office was to call us and tell us he would not be here Thursday- he needed Thursday to finish up the previous job. He apologized and said he would be here Friday. He did not show up so texted him and he replies that he had a family emergency but he will be here Saturday morning. Well, it is Saturday @ 7:41 p.m. and he didn't show up today at all. No call nor text. The supplies were delivered Tuesday, which (are sitting in the driveway, cement bags with some thin plastic over them are absorbing the moisture. We called and texted the installer but no answer. We called and emailed the Lowes rep who came out and measured, asking her for help but no answer from her. We are considering canceling the whole order which we paid $2,000 down and the rest on the Lowes card. We feel it is poor customer service to not communicate to the customers. read more

I've been a customer for a long time at this store. Unfortunately, my experience in the home decor department sent me running across the street to Menards. I went in on my lunch break a week ago, trying to get some new curtains for my home office. The 2 young girls I encountered in that department have no business working in customer service. As this department is not something I'm too versed in, I asked about curtains, curtain rods, blinds etc. The 2 girls looked at me for a moment, said, "I don't know, just go look", and kept talking amongst themselves and started to walk away! This was the most abhorrent customer service experience I've had to date. I have not been back at the Lima location since then and do NOT plan on returning. read more

We purchase a new stove on Nov. 17, 2022. Did not get a chance to use oven until the day before Thanksgiving. Well, wife turned oven on for the first time. A blue flame shot out of the knob, with a pop. Needless to say, oven did not work. No heat. Called Lowe's immediately. Of course they could not replace it that day, best they could do was friday. Got a call back later. Friday was no good. They didn't have another Black stove in stock. They could deliver a white one though. Nicely told them no. We purchase a black stove and that is what we want. Well suddenly it was going to be Wednesday for a black stove. Well Wednesday came and went. No stove, no call. Have called and spoke with store manager several times since then. Now here it is December 5th, still no replacement stove. So if you are looking to purchase an appliance. I suggest looking elsewhere. So very disappointed. read more

Chris in appliances saved the day. I was on hold for 15-20 min on 3 separate occasions yesterday morning trying to reserve a freezer. After the 3rd phone call and wasting almost an hour being on hold I drove to the store crusted and ready to let someone have it. Chris was extremely nice and helped me load the freezer onto my truck. He apologized for the inconvenience multiple times, I'll be returning because of his service. read more

We special ordered a front door with sidelights over 7 weeks ago. It was supposed to be in within 4 weeks. Still no door! We've called the store and customer care 3 times. We were supposed to receive a call back from management within 24 hours each time and we've heard nothing. We also ordered a lamp post light online that was supposed to be in within a week. Never heard anything from the store so we called and were told it came in broke and they were reordering. Never knew it even came in. Called a week later and found out they never placed the reorder! Drive the extra 30mins to another Lowe's!! I've been doing work up here for 2 1/2 months and they never have what I need and what they have isn't even in the right place. On top of that I called and asked about price matching and they said YES WE DO! I said it's from Home Depot and she again said yes!! I drove up there, tried to price match and she said we don't do that. Don't support this store.. smh I don't support the company!! They keep begging for a review well here it is!!! read more

Just had a front load washer delivered. They hooked it up and started it to make sure everything worked. The guys that delivered it were friendly and very professional. I have purchased a refrigerator from Lowe's in the past and was very happy with how they replaced it after 2 weeks when it was not working properly. We have purchased several appliances from them and will continue to do so. read more

I need service on a washer I bought from Lowe's. I called Lowe's to inquire about someone coming to look at it. I bought it at Lowe's many years ago so I thought they would want my business. The lady on the phone told me because I wasn't in their system they couldn't send a repairman to look at my washer. There's no proof I bought it at their store so I get no help. I can prove I bought it at their store but then was told I didn't register my washer with Lowe's when i bought it. Excuses!! I thought they would stand behind the products they sell, especially appliances & electronics. I will never buy another thing from Lowe's. read more

Our Lima Lowes is absolutely AWESOME! We have made multiple major purchases here, including a full set of windows on our house (Andy is AWESOME), a full remodel of our kitchen, including appliances, etc etc etc. our last purchase of mulch and yard furniture was delivered by tractor trailer. The service is spot on. We had a minor issue with the grout in the kitchen, had no idea it was covered under warranty, until my wife mentioned her challenge finding the right color with the guys at the store. After that, the repairs were handled, and done in no time. We try to buy local as best we are able, and our Lowes fills the bill every time. read more

Spoke with a female on phone on a Friday and set up an appt to come and measure and discuss about remodeling my kitchen. She was very rude but I still set date and time to come out. On Monday I call back to the store to talk to a manager to find out who would be coming to my house on Wednesday for appt. It took atleast 15-20 minutes to get a manager on phone. She said the person I needed to talk to was not working but would be in on Tuesday 10-7 but she was sending that person an email as we were talking on phone. I never received a phone call on Tuesday. Later that night I went to store with a friend for her to purchase a washer and while I was there with my friend I was telling the associate (Chris) about my experience I was having. He was very nice and apologetic and he tried to help me and my friend in the kitchen dept as much as he could. Today is Wednesday and my appt for someone to come to my house was at 5:00 pm. I rushed home to make sure I would not miss anyone. At 5:30 I called the store because no one showed up. I was on hold while they were paging someone in kitchen, the operator finally came back to phone and said she wasn't answering that she must be with another customer. I explained what was happening and asked to speak to someone in the office because I was not a happy person at this time. The operator told me she had to take my name and number and she would call me back. It is now 8:03 pm and I am STILL waiting for someone to return a call to me. I don't normally go to Lowe's because you can hardly every get anyone to help you on the floor but my friend convinced me that Lowe's was better. WRONG!!!! I wasted my time from Friday thru today waiting for nothing. I will tell this to any one who will listen, I can't believe that this is the way they do business. Not even a follow up phone call or a phone call trying to make it right. I'm not looking for any discount or anything but I felt like they should of reached out to me in some kind of form or fashion. Excellent customer service. I purchased a returned Maytag Bravos washer that had been repaired for resale. The unit did not work when I hooked it up, I called to set up a repair appointment. I've never been so disappointed with a service. I would give a one star, but the discount I received on brand new appliances allows for 2 stars. My husband and I purchased a new washer and dryer bot heavily discounted- 1 for being a "scratch and dent" and 1 for being the floor model. We talked with the associate to get our free delivery set up. With a 4 hour time span, we had asked for 1 hour warning before the delivery came in order to give my husband time to get there. I received a 10 minute warning, while my husband has a 30 minute drive home. We didn't purchase new parts because we were sure that our old stuff would work for the new dryer. We had told our sales associate our plan and not once said anything otherwise. On the phone with the deliverymen they said they're not allowed to setup new appliances with old parts and the sales associate should have informed us- well they hadn't. Needless to say, I'm very frustrated and will be extremely hesitant to work with Lowe's ever again. read more
