I have been waiting for 2 and a half months for Lowe's to get a curved molding to install our bathroom flooring. We were told to tear out our bathroom flooring which we did. Do we are walking on sub floor in our bathroom all this time. Just called me and it's going to be at least another 2 weeks. I would not recommend for installation services. They tell you they will call back next day and it's a week later. Terrible service read more

Do not buy an appliance off of any lowes. Nightmare of a delivery damaged property had to threaten to sue lowes and the delivery company to get it taken care of now 3 weeks later the refrigerator is not producing ice and and the buttons for cubes and crushed are reversed. If i would have bought with a lowes card they would change it out within 30 days otherwise you have 48 hours to find problems then you have to deal with the manufacture. Charles Flanagan was who was supposed to help me and sent me to customer service to be left ringing over 30 times and then be hung up on. Overall I think this location is pretty good. However, there is plenty of issues to be had with lack o bodies on checkouts and the occasional head-scratching lack of web orders not being ready and being lost. I have been coming to this location probably since it opened. In fact, the first week it opened my dad and I would go up just to, trying to find some sort of reason to go and check things out. Any time I'm in the store, I think of him. I have bought a variety of items from new sinks, power tools, plumbing, flowers in spring, and concrete. The concrete pricing and flowers you really can't beat; however, their prices are somewhat gouged knowing that they are the only show in town. Up near Pittsburgh where there is both a Home Depot and Lowes, prices are way more fair. Also, the issue here is a lack of knowledge and when you do approach the pro or contractor desk- they look down at you like you're bothering them. I recently purchased new appliances for a new kitchen. Upon installation of my new microwave, it did not work. Lowes would not take it back and said I would have to contact the manufacturer. The appliances were delivered two weeks after purchasing and the microwave was not installed until two weeks after that and therefore our one month to return had expired! Lowes would only do a return if Whirlpool gave me an RA number. Upon making contact with Whirlpool, they sent out a repair man. He stated that he thought our microwave had been dropped. He needed to order many parts, all of which are on backorder. When I asked Whirlpool about the RA policy, they stated that was not a thing and that many Lowes customers claimed they had been told the same thing. This whole ordeal has been terrible but I wanted to share, so others would be aware of Lowe's new store policies. I have to add, that when I was trying to contact Lowes, they hung up on me and I waited for over 30 minutes to speak with a store manager when I called back. The manager never did answer the phone. Something you need to be aware of if you purchase Lowe's extended warranty on their major appliances! When you buy a major appliance at Lowe's such as a refrigerator and pay $250. For the 5 year extended warranty and your item is not in stock but they order it for you... you pay for it that day, your order will not be delivered for 2 months! So you've paid for a warranty that goes in effect on your item then but, you're not even getting it for two months!!! Two months later and no curiosity call from Lowe's to tell your your order will now not be in until next year ( another 6-8 months on top of the two you've already waited) BUT, you've already paid over 2,000. For an item you have not received but the warranty is using it's time on so Lowe's talks you into buying another on that can be here in about 6 weeks, so you do... and you purchase the warranty again...(because sales rep tells you you have to get your refund for previous order & warranty! You go to get full refund and guess what...LOWE'S WILL NOT refund your warranty amount after 30 daysso now you have to go thru the warranty place which puts you on hold for hours...still no $250 refund on warranty!! Lesson learned today: NEVER buy anything again from Lowe's thats not IN STORE and definitely never buy their warranty on any item that you have to order and pay for it being used when you don't even have the item!! Upsetting that they make you pay thousands of dollars for something that they don't even have, but order, but when they can't hold up their end and get it to you when they say it still cost you hundreds After the fact needless to say that talked us right out of getting the other one!!! read more

My 80 year old father bought a shower stall, sliding doors for the shower and accessories from this store a little over a year ago. By the time he saved up to have it installed , found that Lowe's sold them the wrong doors ): today after the contractor tried to exchange them, the manager refused and said take it up with Lowe's.com. They said that's our policy): I then called the store and talked to Asst Manager Jeff Love. He looked up the item. Since it was still being sold, he ageeed to credit for the door! First, this is my first yelp review ever, although I use yelp for guidance on an almost daily basis. I'm just trying to return some value for all the times I've used this sight in the past. Also, I am trying to give Lowes some information that will help them improve . Finally, I am a 30+year customer at this business(yes, I used to go to the old Lowes in South End.) I use the store sporadically, but often multiple times per month. Recently, I have again had an experience that I think typifies Lowes in general and this Lowes in particular. Succinctly put: The story begins with an attractive offer to give a free/no obligations install estimate for flooring. I quickly filled out the paperwork and left the store with an appointment for the installer to be at my house three days later. The service person was polite, efficient, etc . He even gave me the detailers cell number so I could contact him the morning of the measurement. GREAT-5 stars so far!!! UNFORTUNATELY, after, I had reserved MY time to be available, there was a problem when I contacted the installer. He, a private contractor, knew nothing about the appointment; and, of course, he had been scheduled to be elsewhere by the store. When I recontacted the store, I spoke to a different person; and , of course I had to reexplain the entire situation. BUT she politely promised to look into the situation and have the installer get back to me with a rare "weekend" appointment. She again politely explained that there had been an informational "transmission problem. OKAY, we are down to four stars!!! Early on the weekend, I called the installer again. Although he had spoken with the store, he still had not received the e-mail that would trigger the trip to my house. Sooo, another call to the store is required; and, of course the problem has to be explained to another person, etc., etc., etc. And, when I asked to speak to a manager on duty, Amanda implied that I was being unnecessarily insistent on having the problem resolved. She never offered an apology and she transferred me to a "section" manager. But the worst part-and the part that seems to be business as usual- is that nobody seemed to recognize that my time is valuable also. Based upon Amanda's performance, I feel that I could have justified one star; but that would be unfair to the workers who had tried to do their best under what are obviously difficult employment conditions. In the past, I have often described this business as the worst managed store in Allegany County. I think at the root of the problem is that when something goes wrong, there is no management followup. Instead the individual employees are left twisting on their own. So, future frustrated customers should remember to not blame the "little guy". He/She is probably being asked to do the impossible. Finally, through out all of the phone conversations, nobody seemed interested in what had gone wrong, so that it could be fixed. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with our local Lowe's. I know how busy they are and felt we were very patient. We purchased a grill on 4/5/20. They said they didn't have any assembled and that was done by a third party. We could pick it up 4/8/20. No problem. I understand. I called 4/8, and they had no record of our purchase and we needed to bring our receipt. My husband takes the receipt and they acknowledged it but it wasn't ready. They would assemble it first thing in the morning. Trip #1. 4/9 Trip #2. He drove up and it wasn't ready. Give them 45 min. Trip #3. 45 min later, sorry. Need another 15 min. Trip #4. 25 min later Walked back to the area, asked a staff member if he would see if they were almost done. He returned and said, no one was assembling any grills back there. He went to customer service and got his money back. On the bright side, drove down to Naylor's, they had a grill, yes it was their only one, but we could have it. Loaded it on our truck. I. And out in less then 15 min. Why we ever went to Lowe's is behind me. 5 stars for Naylor's. read more

DO NOT GET A COUNTERTOP FROM HERE! My husband and I ordered a countertop in December 2021 to be delivered at the end of January 2022. After many calls, threatening that we were going to fight for a refund, and having our contractor make many calls, it was finally delivered in March.....one piece being wrong. The error was due to their worker ordering a piece wrong and Lowes promptly reordered the piece. We kept being told the piece should be here "anytime now." At this time, they are telling us that it should be here in June....6 months after we originally ordered the countertop!! This whole process has been a nightmare. I will never (nor recommend anyone else) order a countertop from there ever again. Actually, I will try to avoid this store altogether. read more

I like the fact that Lowes has veteran parking spaces and offers a 10% discount to veterans. The only issue is a vet has to go to customer service and "register" to get the discount. The problem is there is nothing to tell the vet this. I stood in line for 20 min, then was told to go to customer service. Everyone was very friendly. This place is full of disappointments. Had them do an estimate for flooring - $1,200 more than Riggleman's in Oakland. Ordered a tractor from them and scheduled for the delivery 6 days later, at 11 pm the night before they reschedule at their convenience. Great selection of plants. This place has a nice greenhouse with a huge array of plants. I actually thought they had more inventory than my local Lowe's but that may be due to lack of competition in the area. We find two lovely rose bushes here. The only downside to this place is that the entrance seems to be in a bad place. This place would be easy to miss since it is atop a hill. read more

They should fire the people that are not there to help and give the ones a raise that actually know their job. We just bought a house in LaVale, and Lowes was to install a new kitchen in while we were still living in NY. We did the whole thing "long distance" over internet. I went to another Lowes in NY, selected what I wanted and they installed it. It was the best experience I ever had doing anything of this sort, and this is the 3rd kitchen in my life. But it gets better: We were stranded by the guys that were supposed to unload the truck, so when I told this to the Lowe's coordinator, he drummed up 5 people to help us at 7pm to unload ! - and as a pay, they suggested a donation for some kid's program. But it keeps getting better yet: since our contractor screwed us up, they helped us to find 2 other contractors to set us straight! There is nothing like these Lowe's guys !!! read more

I just purchased a new Troy built Snow Blower filled it with Gas and before I used it at all, all of the gas leaked out so I took it back to Lowes for warranty repair. I'm now being advised that they want $150 to repair an obvious Manufacturing defect. An Amazing lack of common sense at Lowes But wait I just got a call from Ray at Lowe's Executive offices and they agreed to cover the defect repairs at no cost. Be cautious when you start working with this Lowe's for any service. They will quote you a low estimate for installation/labor and then once you commit the cost will double or triple; it's the game they play to sucker you in. It's happened to us 2 times and both times we went with other (non-Lowe's) contractors for quality work at a reasonable price. Don't use the Lowe's contractors since Lowe's is doubling their rates in order to make huge profits. read more

I've been waiting on my new range to be delivered for two days now the first day they said they forgot to load my stove on the truck to be delivered and wouldn't go back to get it and I would have to wait. Second day they said they put me on a "hot" list and it would be delivered between 730 and 930 ha what a joke still no range. And no answer when I call. I am very disappointed in Lowe's service this week. I bought a dishwasher yesterday and said that I needed to have it delivered and installed. The woman checked the system to see if it was in stock and said that there was one available. She assured me that I would have it today. Last night, I received a call from a manager saying that they could not locate the item, but would send an upgraded model instead. I also received an automated call from an independent company regarding delivery. The company delivered it bright an early this morning but said that another outfit was responsible for installing it. They called Lowe's for me and Lowe's said that I was not in the system for delivery--that would cost extra, I would have to come back in and sign a contract, and it couldn't take place until next week. I know that I mentioned installation at least twice when I talked to the sales girl, but she seemed quite distracted with a visit from her family at the time. Now here I sit, several calls to and from Lowe's later, with my new dishwasher in the middle of my kitchen floor waiting for installation. read more
