We had always been loyal customers. And we hadn't ever bought a new washer and dryer but we did so this weekend from them. We are on a trip at airports and had renters in our house. The Lowe's sales person told us that they would bring the appliances and install them and that they were professional plumbers. He also told us that they would take the old ones to the street or wherever we wanted them. Today in between flights we found out that they said one of the hoses was rusted and they refuse to do it and left. They didn't move the old washer and dryer out of the garage either. That left our renter to try to figure it out. Being inexperienced, he broke the pipe and the garage flooded. Something that wouldn't have happened if Lowe's had done their job that they told us. When we tried to call the Appliance Department at Lowe's we got hung up on three times before they even answered. Finally I talked to a service person who refused to take any responsibility for Lowe's at all. They don't have to take the washer and dryer out. They don't have to take off a hose if they think it's rusted. We don't have to refund you if you're not happy with your delivery. This is what she said. Anyway we are left with a big mess when we thought we could count on Lowe's and found out we can't big time. read more

Today on Black Friday I get a DoorDash order to pick up two ladders from Lowe's I arrived to the store. I am met with coffee and donuts that Lowe's purchased for their customers there are three gentlemen standing outside greeting customers, and then four more employees inside near the coffees and donuts greeting customers a lovely representative named Joy, walked me over to the Pick Up counter where I could pick up my DoorDash order upon arrival the woman working Pick Up was very disrespectful, speaking in a rude tone, saying that I would have to push the order number into the screen they have hanging on the wall. This was my first time at Lowe's doing a pick up so I didn't know how their system worked. I pushed the two orders I asked the representative. I can see the ladders before I leave with them so I know if they will fit inside my vehicle she tells me that she needs to see my ID. I explained to her I left it in the car however I don't mind going to get it. I just need to see before wasting my time if the ladders will even fit in my car, she was very dismissive and told me to just go get my ID as she walked around the corner. I peaked my head around to see if I could see the ladders and she was very verbally rude speaking in a rude tone. I tell her never mind that I will cancel the order, but truly this whole experience really upset me because it was very clear that Lowe's was trying to go above and beyond for their customers and then you have staff like this lady that is just very rude after walking out to cancel the order. I decide that I'm going to actually go back in to be a customer and one of the gentleman asked me how my day was the one standing next to the donuts and coffee, and I explained to him that the representative is very rude and you could see that he was taking it serious and sincerely apologized. However, it's just sad that out of 100 good employees you could have one that really ruins a reputation for a store. Thank you to Clay for taking my concern. First, they had all of them under a price that said 169.00. Well, surprise, it was actually 329.00. Dis not even argue. When I get it home, it had no battery and someone was kind enough to try it out on their lawn a few times first. Dirty, grass, used trimmer string.... AND it was re bound AT THIS STORE. Not taped up. It is ok. It is always crowded as the south Villages rapidly expands, and this is the closest home improvement supply store, it is overloaded, like the Walmart. The plywood I needed was not accessible on the ground, I had to climb up the rack to peel sheets off a full skid, a hairy operation, but there was not an employee in sight to offer to help. The lady at the lumber check out line was nice, alot of folks up north with that job are pretty frazzled. read more

Recently my husband and I purchased a new washer and dryer from Lowe's. Although we are happy with the product the delivery experience was a nightmare. Apparently Lowes uses a third party to deliver. The delivery company people were rude and lazy. They left the dryer pulled away from the wall in front of the door, and told us they couldn't fit it. "It not our fault" when we asked them cut the vent hose so it could be pushed back; they refused and left. We ended up having to hire a handyman to connect the dryer to vent. It took him10 minutes. In all fairness to Lowe's we were reimbursed his fees after an email to corporate. The frustration of the day is why I will not purchase appliances or anything else requiring a delivery from Lowe's in the future. read more

I have tried to get my door installed since the end of October 23, they have sent the wrong door 4 times?????? What is wrong with this picture. I ordered a left hand outswing and have received 4 right hand inswing doors. The inswing totally blocks the entry to the kitchen. It's sad when you know the delivery guys because they've been here so many times. NEVER use them for this application. The installers have been great about this mess, me, not so much. If I could have put 0 stars I would have. Worst experience ever, never to be repeated. Lost my business and money. I found this to be an average home improvement store in most ways (price, selection, and quality of merchandise), but with staff who express absolutely no interest in their customers. I actually don't mind skipping the usual insincere courtesies at the cash register -- Hi, how are you doing? -- and that sort of thing, but the absence of such is noticeable. If you know exactly what you're looking for and where to find it, you can be in and out of this store pretty fast, but I would not come here looking for advice on home improvement projects, or hoping for a friendly employee to brighten my day with a smile. read more

This review is on the management of customer service department NOT the over-worked employees. I had the misfortune of not receiving an item I purchased online. I had purchased a stove and the required cord. Both items were supposed to be delivered together. When the stove was delivered the delivery person said they did not have any cords but I could call the store later and pick one up. Meanwhile, my account showed both items were delivered. I called customer service and the customer service person said it was a delivery issue and transferred me to the delivery department. The delivery person said he would call me the next day when he got the cords in. The delivery person called me the next evening and said I could drive to Lowes and pick up the cord at the customer service desk. As instructed, I drove to Lowes and stood in a long line that went out the double doors. There were 3 workers with one tied up the entire time with multiple returns for one customer who had two carts full of return items. The other two workers were working the line between answering the customer service calls, searching for orders on behalf of these callers and answering question from other staff members about returns and other work related questions. Customers who have come in person should NOT have to stand and wait while someone who calls in gets served first! I waited 43 minutes to make my way to the front of the line but the phone rang and the desk person answered the phone. The desk person then started searching for an order for the caller without any luck. She informed the caller according to their computer all items were delivered. She asked the caller if maybe there was a different order number or a different phone number she could search for the caller. I stood there the whole time thinking, maybe I should have called in and asked for my previously paid order to be handed to me when I first got in line, I could have saved myself 40 minutes! The bottom line, there should be staff to handle just the calls and not expect the poor overworked front desk folks to handle the calls and handle the lines at the same time. read more

I ordered plastic planter bowls online, the site said 13 more dollars and delivery is free. So I ordered saucers for under the bowls. Thinking everything would be delivered I was happy. Guess what the bowls are scheduled for delivery and the saucers are in the store for pick up. Sorry I didn't want to make the drive for half the order. But I went, I called the number for curbside pick up and the phone rang for 7 minutes, until someone picked up the phone and hung it up. Goodness help me what happened to great customer service? Why don't I call store management? I don't have enough of my life left to wait for someone to pick up the phone. read more

So I went to Sears and bought the exact same unit, and on sale. The installation took 10 minute as the installer used the same microwave frame that held the old unit. Horrible service. I'm hoping that lowes corporate is reading reviews about this location. No one knows their speciality and has a hard time even walking or getting up from their chairs in specialty sites like doors dept. This is the second door we have purchased there on top of many on there things as we knowingly bought a fixer upper. The first door had the insert backwards once we got it home. Asked about it getting it corrected and no one know how. Thankfully the manufacturer did once we called. Then they lost the door in the store and they argued they had it the entire time when our handyman went to pick it up. The second door we figure we would save ourselves the issue of pickup but the cashier had to be trained by another cashier who while training was messing with her nose ring. Anytime a question was asked from the more experienced cashier in service the answer was "I don't know" and she was the one supposed to be training. In my opinion just reduce your hours and hire capable people whom you pay what they are worth. Stop hiring people that can't even manage their own live let alone a job. read more

I want to give a shout out to Bryan Martinez for the great service he provided us yesterday. I am in town visiting my parents and was looking to replace their easy up gazebo. There weren't many choices because of all the holiday stuff, so my mom and I decided to walk around looking for something else for my dad for christmas. As we were walking through the kitchen appliance section there was a random boxed gazebo leaned up against a wall, clearly where it was wasn't supposed to be but exactly what we were looking for. We stopped Bryan to ask him about it, and despite being obviously busy with other customers, he took out a piece of paper, wrote down the sku number and looked it up. It was what we wanted, so after finishing with the couple he was already with, he got us a flat cart, loaded up the gazebo and told me what to say up front to get help getting it loaded. Bryan totally made my day. I was not relishing the idea of spending the whole day shopping and his helpfulness made it all easier. read more

Be careful here. The check out customer service does not exist. There isn't a pleasant bone in the 3 clerks we saw today. 3 visits to get different things ... Trip 1 today for 80bucks in home fixin' ... we weren't allowed to get the military discount because we were in the wrong checkout. Well there were only 2 tellers open' each with 5or more ppl in line. Yikes. Trip 2. To pick up another 70bucks in yard tools and a bug zapper. (Florida has lots of bugs...) very helpful guy walking around answering questions. Checkout teller snippy and rude. Trip 3 RETURN desk... had to take back the bug zapper. Guess why? OK I'll tell you. Our new bug zapper was filthy when we took it out of the box. It also didn't work (What?) Upon inspection there was a bees nest in the center. Ok ok. So no problem. We know that we can take it for a return. Yet when we approach the desk' No greeting ' just took our receipt. She didn't ask why the return. We didn't want it to get placed back on the shelf' so we mentioned the bees nest . She responded with a " O-K. I don't want to see it".. That's it. No whoops. No sorry. No nuttin. No ask if we wanted an exchange. Thanks Lowe's Lady lake. For the excellent reason to shop at Home Depot, like I do at home. Being nice to customers is FREE! read more

I purchased a dishwasher, along with 2 other appliances last week and was told they would be delivered and installed by the end of the week. In fact it showed 10/19 as the delivery date for all. A washing machine and microwave were delivered and installed by that date but heard nothing about the dishwasher. On 10/19 I called the installation department and was told by the gentleman who answered the phone that the paperwork had been picked up by the installer but it would another week before installation. I explained that I had expected installation sooner.....his response was "do you want a refund"!! Rather than I am sorry, I will see what I can do, or something similar. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. As one reviewer has already shared - be careful here! Multiple members of staff were very rude on multiple trips. it is also so understaffed that I would not be surprised to see literal fights break out (something like road rage but in a store rather than the road) as customers compete to have the very few staff help them with questions. I've already seen shouting and four letter words over this. As for staff, many are plainly miserable, and are very rude. One example: I asked where something was and when Keith looked angry and like he did not want to help, I said "Could you please help, I am not sure what the contractor wanted me to get, I am just a woman alone" Keith said "Oh, you aren't going to pull the woman alone card on me are you.?" Keith stared in a rude and angry way after this, confirming he certainly was not making a bad joke. I asked again if Keith could just show me where it was and he refused, since it "was not his department" - Keith was standing in the flooring department - then Keith said "Alex will help you, he works in flooring". But Alex was stepping toward customers. I asked if he was helping someone. Alex looked quite angry and said he was. Then he would not let me sit in chairs as I waited. I asked another customer if he was also waiting on Alex and he confirmed he was. So I was third in line. Alex knew this. After 5 minutes or so Alex suddenly said "I am going to call someone". I guess Alex was hoping we would go away? I also had a very bad experience two days before this one when a clerk was angry because I started my conversation by asking where something was. He later explained "People don't read the signs" as the reason he does not like that question. He gestured to where it was, I asked if he could show me, he took me to the aisle and pointed down the aisle but I could not see it, so I asked if he could take me. He took me but was very angry and rude as I asked questions to make sure I was getting what I needed for the home project. The same evening I had already gone to customer service to ask someone to come to fans to help. There was then a near-fight to get Roger to help the three people who desperately wanted help there, and it was difficult to get Roger to finish helping me even though I was the one who had walked to customer service then returned there to wait for help. I did try to go to customer service after this because I had lost my cell phone when I put it down in shock at Keith's rudeness, but the line was at least 10 people long and would have been well over half an hour. My only other visit was on a Saturday morning where there was only one clerk in the garden area and a line 12 people long so I had to leave - I have a back condition that causes a lot of pain if I stand still on a hard service for a long amount of time, e.g. the 20 or 30 minutes to get through some of the Lowe's lines. I can go to Home Depot or the Lowes 17 miles down the road. I wont' go in this Lowe's again as understaffing is making staff miserable, resulting in extreme rudeness to customers, and in customers who are very angry with one another as they compete for attention. One last thing - night manager MacKenzie was very nice when I called that evening to tell her of what had occurred during the day, but even though she said she would bring up understaffing at a manager's meeting, I won't risk going there again, since it is my perception that most of management does not care or terrible situation and atmosphere would never have developed in the first place. read more

Today is the second day of the Labor Day Sale and we caught it at a quiet, if there really is such a thing, time. Today there were two people working the sales for Washers and they were pretty busy. We were greeted by a sales person shortly after entering the department. He listened to us and did his research in the products available and showed us the machine we were looking for. The original machine we had chosen was on back-log for ten days which exceeded our time frame. ... Our washer broke. We chose a model which WAS in stock and the salesman wrote us up and we were absolutely thrilled ! The check-out at the customer service desk was thorough and complete and extremely quick. My wife and daughter found a few things on the sales floor, added them to the ticket for the dryer, paid for our sale, and we were out the door and very "Happy Campers". Today, at a quieter time, we were astonished and amazed at how absolutely wonderful this store is. I always have known that this Lowe's store would be an outstanding "Candy" store for me and they have refreshed my judgements and intuitions today. Life is good ! People there know that they're selling is right for the customer, and at a good price. Life IS Good ! read more

I recently purchased H&C Silicone Acrylic Concrete Sealer Solid Color Solvent Based for my garage floor and prepared the surface according to instructions provided. I actually spent extra time on prep as my expectations were rather low. I gave the product a good 10 days to fully cure before bringing the car in the garage. The first damp tires to roll on it caused the product to pull right up off the concrete. It has since done the same thing where the garage door meets the concrete floor. Not sure where some of the positive reviews are coming from on this product as it failed miserably on a basic garage floor. Went back to Lowe's with my concerns and they were going to have someone contact me and come out to look at the floor. Surprise..never heard a word. Should have gone with rubber flooring as I originally intended. I expected much more from Lowe's but they wanted nothing to do with helping me. read more
