They gave me a good price and good service. The discount for having a Lowes card saves a lot. My new refrigerator had to be brought upstairs and the guys they sent were great. I just ordered a dishwasher and it was 40 percent off. read more

Today I was trying to find a microwave from the Gonzales LA Lowe's on Airline Hwy. I called over six times the service desk tried to get the appliance center or a manager. Six times I was hung up on. I did not want to my husband on a wild goose chase and them not have there. I than called Walmart the service lady went out of her way to go and check for me. They surpass Lowe's by far . read more

This is the single most unorganized, dirty, and incompetently staffed Lowe's I have ever been to in 4 states. Don't expect any help any time soon. And when help arrives, don't expect them to know how to solve the issue. I.e. 1- the item you ordered that was supposed to arrive 3 weeks ago? They don't know where it is, why it's late, or when it will be there. Good luck getting someone to find out either. 2- there's no one manning a register in the garden section? Weird, but okay. Wait, there's no one manning registers inside either? Weird, not okay. So you go to self-checkout. Employees are doing two things (a) trying to solve someone's self-checkout issue, and (b) standing around not manning a register for some reason. And of course one of your items doesn't want to scan correctly so the little red light comes on.... and you wait... staring at employees who make awkward eye contact and look away. Finally someone quickly comes over to help you, but then says something quick about "you're still going to need help" while waiving her highly manicured hand in your face as if this is your fault. Then she'll just raise her voice across the checkout area to tell you to go to a register that is now being manned.... good thing you have to wait in line again. For the one manned register. These could all be hypotheticals, figments of an imagination- and they could stay that way if you go to the DIY shop down the street, or Lowe's in Baton Rouge. Or even Home Depot. But if you come here you're bound to roll the dice. I think I'm about done rolling the dice. This is why I don't go to casinos. But that's another story. read more

One of the best Lowe's stores you'll get compared to others around the BR area. It's a hit or miss ok finding someone to help you but when they do they usually can get what you need and out. We come here often as my husband and I are always thinking of new things to do on our house bc we have issues with things staying the same. Some of the staff recognize us and will help out if they can. The hours are great compared to most home improvement stores around this town as well. read more

Store in disarray and no-one to help in flooring. The very tall lady at checkout was very nice. I find myself going to Home Depot on Highland more and more. It would be easier for me to go to Lowes. read more

I only gave the Lowe's in Gonzales, LA a one star because there is no option of 0 star. My husband needed an entry lock with a deadbolt keyed. He was told by a manager that the only person that could do it was at lunch. He said that he would wait. After waiting for over 30 minutes for the associate to return from lunch, the manager told my husband that he did not have enough time to do it today. We will not be returning to this location. read more

Went to this location on Saturday August 31st to purchase washer and dryer. Purchased both items with delivery set for September 1st. Received a call from them stating that the delivery cannot be completed due to power outage at the warehouse and would be rescheduled for Monday sept 2nd. Okay fine, we received texts stating our window for deliver was between 2pm and 6pm, then at 3pm received another text stating delivery at 3pm to 7pm. Called to confirm delivery and there was no delivery scheduled and our items were still at the warehouse. Not to mention customer service was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! After a conversation now they say it will not be delivered until Wednesday September 4th and that is tentative. Also, the excuse for delivery issues was that we didn't confirm our address, however, our address was indeed confirmed per text. also received a confirmation that the address was confirmed!! I am so sick of dealing with Lowes. they want their payments on time, then bring me my damn stuff. Ridiculous, about to shop at Home Depot!!! read more

This is for Lowes in GONZALES ONLY. We purchased a riding lawn mower last week. When it was to be delivered they called and told us it needed a new battery and they would get a new battery and ship to be delivered on the following week on the 13. It did not arrive. My husband called and they said they were waiting on battery. We received a notice on the 15 today, via email stating the mower was delivered. It was not. My husband called three times, waited for approx 15 minutes. Customer service hung up 3 times. Then he finally got an associate who gave him to a manager of garden center. She said the mower still did not have a battery. I don't understand how a person can purchase a BRAND NEW MOWER WITH A DEAD BATTERY. And then he asked if they can get a new battery from another store like the Hammond Lowes. ( or purchaseShe said oh no!!' We don't do that!! So he asked for a refund so he could look elsewhere. And she said okay and put him on hold. A couple of seconds later, he was disconnected, AGAIN. VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. So we called Hammond Lowes. Check out my next review. read more

The customer service is Superb!! The moment we walked into the store we were greeted immediately and had about 6 different workers offer to assist us ; one lady even took the time to explain the process of the product that I purchased. The store is really organized and have the isles clearly marked for the items down each one! I prefer Lowe's! read more

The only reason I am giving lowes two stars is because they had my product in stock and the cashier was super friendly. I went in to buy a VERY expensive fire pit for my mother-in-law for Christmas. Not only was there no one near that section but customer service could not/ would not get someone for me. After searching all the aisles, I found the pit. I checked out- which was seamless. I asked for a gift receipt and she sent my back to customer service. They had the gift receipt printed on a piece of computer paper. I was okay with that until she started to black out- with magic marker, someone else's name and information off my receipt. They said that's all they have. It looked awful! Totally unhappy that they were not able to present a "typical" gift receipt. The lady gave me attitude like I was asking for too much. It is Christmas time and this is something pretty ordinary to ask for with such an expensive gift..... Not going back unless my roof caved in! read more

The positive of this store is the nice selection of products. That's about the end of my positive review as the parking lot was almost full with tons of people shopping. Only 1!!! checkout register open. Customer service refuses to check anyone out & all the self checkout registers were closed. Way to lose business! Put my stuff back & walked out! read more

They will not answer the phone. Apparently, that's nobody's job - in any department. I tried for nearly an hour with zero effect. Finally, I got someone to answer in the outdoor equipment department. That is a terrible way to do business! read more

Lowe's in Gonzales has a horrible paint department. Go any place else. We bought some paint from a woman (mid twenties to thirties, chunky, wearing cowboy boots, with brown coarse hair) on 6/26/2019 in the late afternoon. This woman sold us some voc emitting paint, badly mixed. You can imagine the rest of the story. We have been sick since then. She was was also standing around talking to different people, not waiting on customers in her dept., making a huge line for paint services. She also was badly distracted and not paying attention when the paint was being mixed. We almost left while waiting the 30 min. it took to be mixed-I wish we had. It would have prevented severe illnesses and hundreds of dollars on air purifiers with hepa filters. We bought them from another store-I will never set foot in a Lowe's store anywhere, ever again. Buyer beware. I wish I had gotten the woman's name. read more

STAY AWAY!!! I gave them 1 star because I had to. On a scale of 1-10 they are(-15). I use to look for things to go get over there. Now it is worse than walmart. Nobody will help you. Today I went in for fluorescent bulbs. Not knowing what was the brightest I searched for someone to no avail. Finally in desperation I found someone in paint and had him call for me some help. I heard the page go out. 15 minutes later, still nobody showed up to help me. I will never go back unless given a gift card. (which I hope doesn't happen) read more

Absolutely worst service ever. We ordered a new dishwasher on June 16th. After several days we noticed they never ran our card so we called and they sad they tried but the transaction was block. We explained that yes we keep that card locked to online purchases when we are not using for that. So we unlock it again and the lady runs the card which shows on our account instantly and they confirm it's been payed for and we'll be delivered on the 27th. So here we are the 27th we call this morning and the lady says she can't give a time only that it will be here between 9am and 9 pm so we wait at 7 we call back and are told they could not run our card. Now keep in mind that is a transaction is blocked me and my wife get instant email notification of it. So now we are on the phone with the manager and he has the nerve to tell me I'm being irresponsible by calling this late and expecting them to be able to correct there mistake. My advice shop Home Depot. We hung up called Home Depot ordered a dishwasher and it will be here tomorrow between 7 and 9am. Notice the 2 hour window and next day service. Lowe's gave a 2 week delay and 12 hour window. You have been warned. read more

I usually choose this Home Improvement store over the other one on the other side of town because of both location and can usually find what I am looking for more often. I was able to find my laundry list of items easily and they were available. I had a few employees offer assistance and were friendly. The only negative was at checkout in the Garden Center....apparently this employee wasn't thrilled about getting out of bed that morning and was as friendly as the business end of some of the cacti they sold....prickly and sharp! Nothing blatantly rude...just could tell this employee had better things to do with their time than show up to work, smile, and interact with customers. read more

Normally come here to get my paint however after today I will never go back. A man by the name of Steven treated me so horrible told me that all whites were the same told me that they couldn't match my white paint sample was not willing to help me find a paint that would match what I brought in. I have never seen someone work at a paint counter tell me they couldn't help me. If he doesn't want to do his job he needs to go work elsewhere. He also told me he could not dab a paint swatch on my piece I brought in that they don't do that. I told him I have come in here numerous times and have never been told they couldn't make sure it was a match. Very lazy employee who doesn't want to do his job for sure. Wouldn't even walk down the Isle to go pick a paint for me to have mixed. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Always understaffed. Got an attitude from the lady working in paint because the paint match she did was way off, and we asked to see if it could be corrected. We had already waited 30 minutes before they could get to us, but before she even spun the correction, she started talking to another lady. When we got home, the can hadn't been closed so there was paint all over everything including the vehicle. Called the manager... all he could say was it was really out of character to have that kind of interaction with that lady. Wasted an hour of our time and $16 for a quart of paint that we couldn't use because it spilled out. read more

Great experience. Faced with the arduous task of prepping a room for painting, we stopped at the paint department to begin gathering supplies. We were assisted by Tara who was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She also pointed out less expensive bulk options on some of the items. All in all her helpfulness made our task much easier. read more

Always seems to have what we need in stock. They do tend to run out of shopping carts a lot though so u usually just grab a cart from the parking lot when I'm walking in. The bathrooms are usually dirty. But love that they offer build and grow for kids. Employees are usually very friendly. read more

I chose Lowe's to renovate my bathroom. The whole experience has been a nightmare. This project started in May 2017, last week I finally got the leak fixed which flooded my other bathroom. The products were not delivered until the end of June. Actual work did not start till after July 4th, that's when the real nightmare began. Not all the products were delivered for the job, the paint was never tinted, the bathtub did not fit, the shower hardware was for a commercial project not for a home project. On the day the job was finished, the floor in my other bathroom had water running across it. I was told it was residual water that need to dry up. After several attempts of this might fix it and it didn't, everybody just went away. The subcontractors left town, the contractor will not return my calls and Lowe's doesn't respond at all. It cost me an additional $650.00 to have the leak repaired. Now I need to replace my vanity and flooring. Cannot get a call back from anyone. I've sent 2 emails without any response. All this while I'm still paying the bill. read more

My wife and I placed an order for new appliances for her birthday six weeks and they're still not here. Some of their installers came and took the wrong measurements on one of the appliances which had to re-orders and costed us more money. One of the other appliances has never arrived yet. The people there are nice and as helpful as they can be but something is very wrong with their corporate contracts and procurement division. This is second and last time we do anything major concerning home improvement with Lowe's. read more
