Years ago, I had two Yorkshire Terriers and always brought them to Di's. Di was a real class act…read moreand always kept her place of business sanitary and tidy. She has passed away and apparently the new owner obviously does not take the same pride in her business. This place should be avoided. Fast forward to today...the salon looks likes it's been abandoned, stacks of yellowed newspapers stacked up in the window, balls of dog hair piled everywhere (no reason for this first thing in the AM), half dead plants and clutter piled in every corner. It's literally just a one room, open space, not sure why it's kept in such a poor, unsanitary condition. I had second thoughts the minute I walked in and saw the state of the salon. I actually tried to take my dog back saying I would bring him closer to 9 (which I had no intentions of doing - my fault I should have trusted my instincts) but the lady assured me they knew how to cut a my dog's breed. I left specific instructions and even texted a photo. I did see several other customers that looked like regulars bringing their poodles in so I figured I would give it a chance. Regret!!! Upon first inspection, I noticed his paw pads were not properly shaved, none of them. I do a better job at home, expected more from a "professional". He was a bit choppy on his legs too which isn't the end of the world but nothing prepared me for the incredibly poor job they did on his backside. Shaved his behind almost bare, butchered the hair on his back legs and chopped some of his full, beautiful tail. Also, left all the hair around his privates long, as though they totally missed the area all together. I called the groomer requesting a refund when I got home after realizing how terribly poor the cut was because now I need to find a groomer to properly shape all the blunt cuts, missed areas and overgrown paw pads. She claimed he was cut to "breed standard" (an overly exposed anus and a chopped up tail is not breed standard!), then she yelled at me saying not to threaten her (which I wasn't, but I did say I would request to have the charge reversed) and then HUNG UP on me. Her response was beyond unprofessional. The groomer also reeked of cigarette smoke (I don't smoke and I don't appreciate my pet being exposed to such an irritant). She was actually outside smoking when I pulled up, leaving the salon unmanned and dogs unattended. Avoid at all costs if you care about actually getting what you pay for in a grooming and prefer not to have your pet kept in an unsanitary, cluttered environment.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE! I'd give zero stars if I could!! This business only cares about…read moremaking money! Extensive painful and extremely repetitive testing! Testing is great when needed, but not to the extent that my poor dog had to endure. (Also, they charge you twice as much as other clinics) I found this out after doing research, speaking with others Vets, and other pet owners with the same conditions as my pet. Not to mention the extra pain and undue stress it puts your animal through. Next, they only immediately approve medicine & other medical needs for your pet through their online pharmacy or at their actual locations. If you want to order from any other online pharmacy, you must drive to their offices, pick up a written script, drive hone, mail the script to your online pharmacy, wait for them to receive it, then approve your order, then wait in it to be shipped. However, If you agree to order from THEIR online pharmacy (that appears to not ship from their actual offices either!!), your request is immediately approved. When questioned, their reason is they don't want to be held responsible or liable if the pharmacy fills the script wrong. When confronted with the foolishness of that reasoning (I.e- If that was the case and you could be liable for this, NO DR WOULD EVER SEND A SCRIPT TO A PHARMACY! He would fill meds only in his or her own office! It's utterly ridiculous!!), then the reply is "Well, I'm sorry that's our policy". This is a horrible way to do business! It shows a desire for profit, over the Convenience, concern, and needs of your clients. Even in the face of a client with health issues, they do not bend! Not to mention Most online pharmacies carry things much cheaper and offer many discounts to customers. Which is more cost effective when you have an ill pet who eats only prescription food, on top of daily meds. I care about my pet, and I want a Vet that also cares about my pet and her owner. Not just a profit margin. I hope you do too. If so, find another Vet! I'd recommend The Animal Health Clinic 4803 Perkins Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70808. Or Hickory Small Animal Clinic 40008 Hickory Ln, Ponchatoula, LA 70454.

My minuet kitten is wonderful. She came from Pristine Persians Llc. And was very socialized from the beginning. It is obvious that she was taken really good care of. Darren made sure to give me a great goody bag with all the things that my precious Bijou Needed. Bijou is a wonderful kitten and I can't say enough good things about Darian and Pristine Persians Llc. With so many scams going on, it is most hardening to find someone as honest and caring as Darian. I am giving her five stars. Additionally, she called to find out how we were doing, and if Bijou was doing well. I thought that was extremely caring and thoughtful. Should you have any questions, I would be happy to be a reference for Pristine Persians Llc.

I'm very particular about places I bring my animals to because my standards are a little different than your average Joe. We scheduled two of our four dogs for their annuals here and I will say that my first impression is 5 stars. Easily. The technician, Lee, was super slow with my nervous girls giving them treats to help them feel more comfortable. Dr. Scott was fantastic with them as well, taking her time to make them feel comfortable before doing anything. My most skittish girl walked straight to the back with Lee without hesitation for her blood draw. Both girls finished their visit with pup cups which was a win for them. Even as patients at the vet I worked for they were on edge and never did relax when there, this seemed to be a very positive experience for both of them and that matters hugely for me. When the animals comfort comes first, you know you found a good vet. Everyone was super sweet including our receptionist Kaitlyn and we look forward to using them in the coming years for the rest of our pets. If you're looking for a vet that has patience with nervous dogs and is a friendly and calm environment ultimately creating a less stressful experience for everyone, this is your vet. The little report cards with photos of your babies was a really cute bonus as well.
