Finally found a 3rd employee after I had been searching for leaf bags for several minutes. I told him the app said there were 70 in stock but could not find any. He said if I didn't see it on the shelves they didn't have any. Then he moved a forklift into the aisle forcing me to step into a display to avoid being run over. Don't bother going to this location if you are African American or Hispanic, you will not be treated with respect or dignity. This review is created on July 24, 2023. I FIRST contacted the Douglasville Lowes starting July 6, 2023. This is a very lengthy review. Oct 2022, Lowes delivered and installed my front door and storm door. The installer did a GREAT job and he was very personable! July 6, 2023, I left my house. However, after locking the front door knob, for some reason, I felt I needed to push on the door from the outside, and, the door opened, inspite of the knob being locked. Of course I was VERY concerned about my house being secured when I left out! I walked back in and tried to pull the key out of the top bolt. It wouldn't come out. I had no other bolt key to lock it from the outside. The key to the storm door did not work. So my house was not secured! I have a dog and two cats. They weren't secured. But I HAD to leave. When I returned, I called Lowes. I spoke with a young lady on the remote team. She said she would report this as an emergency, which she SHOULD have! I asked when I'd hear from someone and she said by the next day. I ensured she had my phone number and email address. The next day, and more days came and went, and no calls or emails. July 11, I called AGAIN! This time I spoke with Jaylon on the remote team. He said the same as the first young lady....an emergency report, a call with "an ETA" by the next day. Again, neither happened. And my HOME AND ANIMALS ARE NOT SECURED when I have to leave! On Jul 16, I called AGAIN! 12:43pm. I AM LIVID BY NOW!!! I spoke with JULIET, AT THE REMOTE TEAM. She said she's putting in a request for escalation. I told her to put in the note the word "IMMEDIATELY, AND A LIFE OR DEATH SECURITY ISSUE. AND I WILL SUE IF ANYTHING HAPPENS!!! That it was NOT A THREAT, BUT A PROMISE! AND SUE THEM UNTIL THEIR NOSE BLED!" I also asked the name of the manufacturer. I was told Woodgrain Distribution and was given their number. No luck. I couldn't even leave a message! I called Lowes back at 1:10pm. I said OVER AND OVER EXACTLY what I needed!! I DO NOT STUTTER! But from 1:45 to 3:16pm, I was transferred from one department to another, to include the PAINT DEPARTMENT! I was put on hold to be transferred to NAMED people, who were AWARE I was on the phone, but never answered on the transfers.... to folks who FINALLY picked up, Ariana, in the RIGHT area, and said "I SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR THE RIGHT DEPARTMENT FROM THE BEGINNING!" The word LIVID, now, is no longer the correct DESCRIPTIVE word to describe ME at THAT TIME! At any rate, she spoke with me and said the "issue" for the delays "is because our initial work order does not show THEIR DOOR KNOB was installed. So, they are not liable for the door not latching". But THEY DIDN'T CALL TO TELL ME THAT! THEY LEFT ME UNSECURED ALL OF THAT TIME OVER WHO'S DOOR KNOB IT WAS! LOWES PUT IT IN, NOT ME! HOW DO I KNOW? I saw RED! I felt like my hair had caught fire from the hot steam coming thru my flesh! I WENT OFF! She said if I DIDN'T STOP CUSSING AND CALM DOWN, SHE DIDN'T NEED to go any further with my request! By THAT time, I was in STRANGLE MODE! EVENTUALLY, she said she'd call the manager and get her instructions. When she called back THAT DAY WITHIN 15 MINUTES, something no one else did, she said they would replace the locks to include what they "weren't responsible for". And that I'd get a call shortly to set a date and time for the lock install. The call came and an appointment was scheduled for today, Jul 24, between 1-3pm. All of that was from 12:43 to 3:16pm, on July 16. When the young man came, he didn't change ONE lock. He oiled the bolt lock. Adjusted the knob lock, and ensured the storm door keys worked properly. 15 minutes. All keys tested. All is now well. Lowes waited ALL of this time to save money at the expense of my safety. And all they needed to do was send someone out to take a look, and fix it. If I could rate the young man (ONLY) who fixed it all, I'd give a five star rating. But it's a two star rating because atleast ARIANA DID SOMETHING!!! And I thank her for that. Lowes gets a zero, but TWO people did SOMETHING! And I PRAY NO ONE ELSE goes thru what I did with Lowes practically during this entire month! read more

Followed the curbside pickup instructions to the tee, no one brought my package out after waiting for 20 minutes, decided to go in to the counter, 2 associates standing there. After i informed them that I've been at the curbside pickup for 20 minutes, one called to have the order pulled, which took another 20 minutes before someone responded with the package. What the heck is going on at Lowes? They used to have great customer service and I can honestly say that yesterday at the Douglasville location was one of the worst Customer Service experiences I have ever had. Short story - I needed a replacement for my riding lawn mower. Tried two competitor stores and both had very limited stock. What they did have was smaller models than my previous mower which was not a good option. Stopped and LOWES and they had several mowers in stock. I wanted a John Deere mower and again, stock limited. Lowes had a lower end model and one higher end than my current mower. I opted for higher end mower however it would not fit on my truck. Made my purchase on Thursday and planned to get a trailer and pick up the next day... there was my mistake. Now, let me tell you that Anthony at the customer service counter is an absolutely awesome guy. He was there by himself - getting bombarded but made it VERY easy to purchase the new mower and arrange for pickup. Paid for everything and we'll see you Friday - Great! Friday afternoon, I arrived around 6:45pm to pick up my new mower. Anthony is at the customer service counter by himself and he's getting hammered by customers but he's working thru it. Overall, the store is moderately busy but I have seen MUCH worse My turn - and he's great. Recognizes me from the day before and calls for someone to assist and then the wait begins. Anthony pages for assistance every 15 minutes for the next 90+ minutes - requesting assistance and calling for the MOD (manager of duty) - everyone ghosts this man. Finally a manager arrives and he tells her I have been patiently waiting for well over an hour. Manager lady apologizes. I tell her that I am getting a little frustrated after spending over $3K to be standing here for 90 minutes. She starts helping others standing in line and now I am really not happy and I tell the next person that if the mower is not here is short order that we'll be doing a return instead of a pickup. FINALLY here comes a small woman pushing the mower from the garden area. Seriously? I had seen a large man rolling light grills and a dryer on a dolly but they send this girl to bring this mower? I ask if I am good to go and I am told I need to sign the pick up paperwork, Lady was a manager - wish I had gotten some names. I sign paperwork and now she calls Code 50 - wants me to wait some more while they find another person to help me load. OH HELL NO. I am done with waiting. I take my receipt and roll my new mower to my vehicle where I proceed to load it myself and get gone. I have NEVER had a ridiculously low level of customer service from LOWES The only portion of it that was good was Anthony - and he should get 10 stars just for putting up with the bunch of slackers he works with. I can in here looking for a Portable AC unit with a Dehumidifier and they had a few, but they don't carry in the store even half of what they show on their website. I love a good home improvement store. The smell when you walk in makes me want to go build a deck. This lowes location was very organized. I love that it's well lit and also that I can find what I am looking for rather easily. If I need help finding something, I was to ask someone and they were polite about helping me. They had some really good early labor day sales and deals. I only had a problem with checking out and the system was supposed to give me a discount but it didn't work so I had to go to customer service to have it adjusted. A sweet lady adjusted every item by hand. It's a pretty nice location and I will definitely be back for some project I'm sure. read more

I ordered a refrigerator (on sale so it was back ordered) and was given today 7/30 2-6pm as a delivery date. Where did it go bad? Let me tell you: Received he automated call yesterday but with all the COVID concerns the recorded message stating "my delivery would be left at the door", I selected "to talk to a representative" because you cannot leave a refrigerator at my door! After holding for 20+ minutes I hung up and with knowing the delivery driver would call when Enroute. Received my call 12:45, driver asked to confirm the address (new subdivision, most ppl have to ask).. I dropped a pin for my exact location but also given intersection details, then I continue used my work day. Just before 4pm I call the delivery driver to get an update, N/A..but they're technically not late (remember automation said 2-6pm) so I give them another hour, call again. "Driver" answers and says he jumped on another truck, they going to reschedule my delivery but I need to call Lowe's Store #730 Store Manager: MIKE O'BRIEN where I encountered a less than thrilled female to assist me. I explain the issue and her response was "why would he tell you to call us, we cannot help you?" And proceeds to give me the delivery company that I paid for/Lowe's outsourced to get an update. Apparently my response of this suggestion prompted her to put me on hold and she called the company Lowe's outsourced to delivery the refrigerator that I purchased. Returns back to me and says "the driver could not find your address and will be returning my refrigerator to the store" FAST FORWARD I requested to have store manager (on duty) Chad to call me this evening (time is 5:45) TICK TOCK.. 8:39 no call yet, I call back and after holding for too long and inquiring when is the best time to call and reach Store Manager: MIKE O'BRIEN, I was told the schedule to published daily and she would not know until tomorrow (?) but she insisted on paging Chad for me and then transferred me. Talking to Chad only made me mad; he actually said to me "I misplaced your number" and it went totally left from that point on. Now there's a lot more to type but I cannot... Chad has committed to delivering tomorrow morning 8-9am and (through the less than thrilled female) a $100 credit, reminder HE NEVER GOT ON THE PHONE, he was assisting another customer. Ordered my washing machine and dryer on 3/5/20. Got a delivery date of Sunday the 8th. Very happy as my new home did not come with a washer and dryer! Receive an email on Sunday saying delivery has been rescheduled for Monday the 9th (today). Not thrilled but fine; I can go one more day. Get the confirmation text last night. Yes! Get the 30-minutes-out confirmation text this morning. Yes!!! Then I get a call from a man at Lowe's stating that I will not be receiving my delivery today because they don't have all the parts. W.T.F. I asked him, "which parts don't you have?" He couldn't answer the question. I pleaded with him to please still deliver the washer and dryer. Worst experience I have ever had. I ordered and paid for 3 full pallets of cinderblocks. Upon delivery, only 1 arrived. Store a manger literally didn't care and acted as if this was my problem, never apologized, and was a jerk without offering me any options for redelivery. I pushed back and demanded they get delivered same day. He told me I would have to wait 2 business days before the rest of it was redelivered. Totally unacceptable considering I had already taken a day off from work to be present for the order the day of and it was also the day the store scheduled. I chose Lowes because they offered brand new washers that could be delivered the next day. The show room had a few options in each price point. When we went to the store several of the appliances were on sale and this was helpful because I was looking for a deal. I decided to go with a traditional Top Load by Maytag. My fiance liked the fabric softner location on the unit. I liked the stainless steel drum and the size of the machine. The machine was also energy star certified and a high efficiency model. The customer service from the workers was okay and my order was done within fifteen minutes. Delivery took place the next morning. They used JB Hunt and I did receive a call the night before with my 2 hour time frame. They were on time and my washer arrived in perfect condition. To my dismay, the driver installed rubber hoses instead of the stainless steel hoses that I paid for. I called the store and the manager offered me a replacement set of hoses free of charge. The star deductions come from two days later. I decided to buy a dryer since the washer order went so well. They set it up for next day delivery. I get an automated call saying that They'll deliver between 9 am and 11am. The morning of the appointment, at 8 am, someone from the store called to tell me that she didn't know when my dryer could be delivered. The representative told me to wait and she would call me back with an update. After not hearing anything for 4 hours I go to the store to cancel the order and be refunded. The customer service desk associates were very friendly and helpful, but the experience was disappointing. Very friendly staff and laidback in a good way. I haven't had a bad experience coming here. Only thing is that this particular Lowe's does not have as large of an inventory compared to other locations especially when shopping online looking for in-store pick up. A couple of times I find myself going over to Home Depot down the road to pick up things that this Lowe's either didn't have or the item looked like a return item that's been previously damaged and it's the only one left. Otherwise, I'm simply more biased towards Lowe's because I grew up shopping at Lowe's the most with my dad. After an hour assembling everything, I took a 4x8 sheet of plywood to get cut down so that it would it fit in my car. I was disappointed to learn that there saw has been broken for 2 months. Placed an order with this Lowes on May 24th for $1800 worth of materials to be delivered to start a fence project. I didn't receive the final materials until June 15th. No phone calls from the store and I constantly had to chase them down to find out where my materials were. There was no issue charging my Lowes credit card but plenty of issues getting me the supplies. I was given different days and times of delivery each time I called. I was never even offered a refund on delivery fees since the store messed up. My recommendation would be shop at the Home Depot. If you have to visit this Lowes, don't get your ordered delivered. You may never receive it. UPDATE: I did get my fencing materials and the manager called me to offer me a refund on the delivery. Is it just me, or does Lowe's kinda feel like the "underdog" to Home Depot? I guess it depends mostly on convenience, which is what brought me to Lowe's (about 6 miles from my house) this past weekend instead of the Depot (only 2 miles away). My boyfriend had the unfortunate meeting with a yellow jacket hive, which was buried underground in our backyard. After mowing the lawn and surviving (five stings later), I saw where the hole was into the hive entrance, and we headed to Lowe's to find a solution while we were out running some other errands. The staff person was really nice and helpful, and within a few minutes we had the spray we needed. He also suggested when and how to use it for optimum results. So far, I haven't seen any new activity around the hive so I'm guessing it worked! read more

We purchased 4 appliances on 5/21/2020 (Store # 730). The refrigerator showed it would not be available until 6/4, which we understood at the time of purchase. However, the other 3 (dishwasher, microwave and range) was to be delivered as soon as they were available. After not hearing from the store, we called to ask about them. After some "runaround" on the phone, we were told all but the refrigerator was in the store, but was also told the refrigerator is now not available until 6/10. On 6/4 I went to the store and talked with the store manager, Mike O'Brien. Another customer was also there talking with him about a similar issue. Mike started giving me reasons about this delay. After I fully explained my issue, he checked and found that the microwave and dishwasher was at the store and the range was at another store. He had those delivered that same day. He also told me the refrigerator now has another delay and will not be available until 6/30. On 6/14 we received a text stating the refrigerator would be delivered on 6/15. It was not. Again, got a runaround on the phone trying to get a status. I called and talked with Kent (Mike was not in). Kent said he would check and let me know a status by noon the next day. He did and told me it was in the warehouse in Nashville and would get it to his store the next week and would have it there on Tuesday (6/23) or Thursday (6/25) and would get it delivered the next day (6/26). He said someone would call on 6/25 to schedule it for the next day. Well, nobody called, so I called again and talked with Kent. He checked and said it is still in the warehouse. He was to call them to ask when he can get it and would call me by noon today with a new status... It is now 1PM and Kent has not called me. I have been shopping this store since it opened 21 years ago. I always go there before I go to the "orange store" down the street. I have a Lowes credit card (and not a Home Depot card). This may change my purchasing habits in the future. I sent an email to "'customercare@lowes.com'" and that email bounced back stating to call their 800 number. It is now 7/1 and still no valid delivery date and the store managers (Mike O'Brien, Kent, Steve, Christine) cannot get one. Very frustrated. Thursday evening, May 3, I placed an online order with the Douglasville Lowe's store. The idea, of course, is to save time by having a variety of items pulled and ready to go. Among other items, the order included 6 pieces of crown moulding and 30 feet of vinyl flooring. The entire transaction was a confused, time-wasting mess. Around noon on Friday, a Lowe's representative called to alert me that only 25 feet of the flooring I had ordered remained in the store. OK... I get it: The quantity reported by inventory management software doesn't always match what's actually in the store. I opened the Lowe's web site and found a suitable replacement style. There was a price difference; I was told that the original floor covering amount would be refunded against from my original order and I would pay for the replacement floor covering separately. The 30-foot roll of the replacement floor covering would be waiting for me in the contractor section. I arrived Friday afternoon to pick up the order to find that the order is incomplete. I ordered 6 pieces of 16-foot crown moulding, but only two had been pulled. The clerk checked inventory: 32 pieces in the store... so we walk to the back to find it. Although she sincerely wanted to help, the clerk didn't even know what crown moulding was. Seriously. Nevertheless, she gave it the ol' college try, which I realized was futile because she was vainly digging through the 12-foot millwork. I explained that we were looking for something that was 16 feet long, so it couldn't possibly be among the 12-foot millwork. She found another Lowe's employee and asked him where the 16-footers were located. "Uh, we don't carry it in that length." So much for that. I keep looking and eventually find it myself. We pull the missing 4 pieces, carry them to the front, adjust the order to refund for the linoleum, and ... you guessed, yet another problem. "Now it's not taking your card number," the clerk told me, looking up from her screen. "I don't know what's wrong." I used a Lowe's credit card to get the discount, but at this point, I just wanted to get my stuff and get to the job. I paid the amount with a different card, loaded up, and drove down to the contractor's loading area. The fun was not over. I approached a woman at the contractor's desk and told her my name and that I was there to pick up a roll of vinyl floor covering. I got the "deer in the headlights" look, along with a "Huh?" I repeated that I was there to pick up a roll of floor covering, and told her the whole story of how I had ordered online, the product wasn't available, I selected another (at around 1:00 p.m. earlier that day), and it should be waiting. It wasn't. Fortunately, I still had my notes from the phone conversation earlier, which included the product number for the floor covering. I shower her the number, she looked it up, entered a quantity of 30 feet, and totaled the transaction. For kicks, I handed her my Lowe's credit card. Amazing: It worked this time. She told me it would be a few minutes, so I took the time to get some pressure treated 2x10s for a separate project. I paid for it, loaded it, and still no floor covering, and no sight of the woman I had been working with. She eventually walked past, so I asked her, "What's the status on the floor covering?" She made a weird face, huffed, but said no words, and walked away. I couldn't tell what the heck she meant by her actions. I waited a few more minutes; the phone at the contractor's desk rang and Weird Face re-appeared and answered it. She looked up at me and said, "They said for you to come back to Floor Covering." I asked why. She replied, "They didn't say. They said you just have to come back to Floor Covering." I told her that I had been there at the store for close to an hour, trying to get an order I had placed, at this time, 24 hours ago. I explained that I was NOT going back there, that I was through having my time wasted, and demanded a refund on the floor covering. She apologized and processed the refund. First thing Saturday morning, I went to the Home Depot in Villa Rica. I walked back to their floor covering section, found an employee, and within 10 minutes they had cut, rolled, and wrapped my floor covering (yes, I timed them after my Lowe's experience), and I was headed out. What a stark contrast. In short, my experience at the Douglasville Lowe's was the proverbial train wreck. The biggest "fail" a business can make is to have a customer on site, money in hand, product in the store, and yet kill the transaction and drive the customer away through poor customer service. That's exactly what happened at the Douglasville Lowe's, and that's exactly why I won't be back. It's not so much that I'm angry and hold a grudge, it's just that when I need building materials, I will go to store that actually sells them instead of hording them in the retail sales area. read more

Very poor experience. Lots of sales people standing around and not one person offered to help me. I asked for help in lighting. No one came. I finally went to appliances dept. and gentleman assisted me with a lighting purchase. I got to the front of store and there was one register open and a long line. Went to customer service and asked if someone could ring me up. Young lady rang me up and I overheard her saying that people are "impatient" as I was walking away. Be clear, I went to Lowe's in Austell on yesterday and had a great experience. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

We ordered $1700 worth of flooring on 07/08/19. We were told they could deliver it on 07/12 or 07/13 but my husband told them they could wait until 07/15 to be sure they had received the complete order on hand. The order was schduled to be delivered between 9 am and 1 pm. I kept track of the order and it said it was on the truck waiting to be deliver. After waiting around, at 12 pm I get a call and guess what! The order was not all there and would need to be rescheduled. Could you not have called earlier and told us that? I called the rep back and told her my husband wanted to cancel the order. She acted like she could care less that they have poor customer service and couldnt even offer an apology. We've been loyal customers of Lowe's for 20 years but we're getting tired of the lack of customer service since this is not the first time this had happened. read more

This Lowe's is simply awesome to go to in Spring when they have a fantastic selection of potted plants - herbs, greenery, roses and other flowers in their nursery section and just to breath the fresh air outside while looking at their plants for sale... Their customer service is great and always very friendly... read more

I don't know what happen today ,I always shop there ,but for some reason I needed help and I requested it 3 time for help fora long period of time and still no one still haven't shown up for help, I was a little I'll about the situation ,and it wasn't crowed or anything just need of good customer service I'm not to hard to please lowe's read more

This was literally the worst Lowe's experience I have ever had. I just simply needed glass cut. The store was a ghost town so I know employees were not busy. So, I pressed the help button. For 45 minutes that button went off. So, I find an employee and they tell me they will get someone over. 15 more minutes..not a soul. So, I try to be annoying as possible and pres the button again as well as the hardware button. 2 buttons going off and no one answers. While the buttons are going off I walk around to find an employee. I find one two aisles down, in the paint department, EATING steak and shake and drinking a milkshake off the shelf. Yes, she had her bag on the shelf between product eating out of it....didn't even acknowledge me. Find another employee talking to another and laughing at the desk..Zero help whatsoever. The same people who were supposedly getting someone for me....walked by me 3 more times and did not even acknowledge me. Spent over 500 dollars on a useless washing machine. Lowes sent 2 employees to look at machine. both reported that my plumbing was the problem. My new machine works fine, not a plumbing issue. This machine worked for 1 month. Lowes stole 550. from a 60 year old. read more

Worst excuse for management I have ever encountered. Can hardly ever find an employee to help find anything or answer questions. On top of that we have had a nightmare trying to have two outside doors installed. We used Lowes several years ago for 3 outside doors and couldn't have been happier with that experience. I paid for these two doors IN FULL on MARCH 9, 2017. Today is JUNE 16, 2017 and we STILL have no doors installed. No one can seem to tell me when they will even call to schedule installation. WOW, I am just in awe at the customer service these people give their customers. HOW are they still in business? Someone please tell me! I have always been loyal to Home Depot and the ONE AND ONLY time I need something from LOWES, what a joke! Needless to say, nobody helped me or wanted to help me and I left empty handed! The lady at customer service desk got an attitude when I asked her to call credit services and said I guess and slammed her pen on the counter, I'm sorry but don't you get paid to do YOUR JOB!! wtf!!! THEN, this is what really pissed me off.... She was talking to credit services over the phone and said "That's exactly what I thought" so even though I wasted 30 minutes on the phone CONFIRMING credit services could override something if I went into the store, the lady at the counter said "NO, they cant do anything and our manager wont either". I mean, nobody in this company knows procedures!! I got in the car and called credit services for them to say "I'm sorry, maybe you should have gotten the name of who you spoke with this morning and this wouldn't have happened".
