Today's Rip-off Receipt

Absolutely no customer service, no matter how much or how little you spend. No help loading to purchase, n help loading or unloading your truck or trailer. Don't bother going to this location if you are African American or Hispanic, you will not be treated with respect or dignity. I could not receive any assistance loading lumber today after requesting help 4 times. I watched and elderly Hispanic gentleman get completely ignored while he struggled to load 3/4 inch plywood. Go anywhere else other than the Douglasville Lowes.... I would give zero stars if I could!!!

Phenomenally terrible customer service. Anything they have in the middle of the aisles for their holiday "sales", is NOT ACTUALLY ON SALE. Their lazy cashiers will not ring it up correctly. What's that you say? Channellocks normally $39.98 "on sale" for $29.98?? Says so on the display right here in the store? Says so on your website, Lowes.com? Says so at literally any other Lowe's store? Oh well! This is Douglasville, where we don't give a flying fart about our customers! I know we offer a price match guarantee, but we don't actually mean it. How could we, when our own cashiers are trying to rip you off as it is?! Buttholes. P.S. THEY WILL NOT PRICE MATCH OTHER LOWE'S STORES, NOR THEIR OWN FREAKING WEBSITE. LOWE'S IS A DESPICABLE COMPANY THAT NEEDS TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS. I WILL SHOP AT HOME DEPOT FROM NOW ON.

So this may be a biased review, but I'm gonna give it anyway...... I can in here looking for a Portable AC unit with a Dehumidifier and they had a few, but they don't carry in the store even half of what they show on their website. So, how am I going to compare different units if you don't have them available when we come into the store? And are you seriously displaying items that are not plugged in? HUH? I want to hear it, fell it and make sure that I want it, prior to purchasing it. HELLO! Otherwise I could have just got it online and purchase it! And guess what else Yelpers????? If you go online you may find the items cheaper. WTH???? That's one of those Wally World / Kauffman Tires tricks. (Check them online before you go to either store. Turst me on this one!) If it's on sale online it should be on sale at the store. But it ain't so, let's move on! Since I was in the place I just strolled around and noticed that this is like a lower budget Home Depot (Yep you said it first in your review Jessica H)......Same concept, close to the same price, but without all of the Fancy Frills and Fireworks that you experience at HD. To be fair, I will say that my current ex is a fan of this location. He swears that their prices are usually lower than HD and that they have similar items. He is renovating his rental property so I will assume he is more knowledgeable about many items throughout the store and I am only judging this location based on what my current needs are.

I love a good home improvement store. The smell when you walk in makes me want to go build a deck. This lowes location was very organized. I love that it's well lit and also that I can find what I am looking for rather easily. If I need help finding something, I was to ask someone and they were polite about helping me. They had some really good early labor day sales and deals. I only had a problem with checking out and the system was supposed to give me a discount but it didn't work so I had to go to customer service to have it adjusted. A sweet lady adjusted every item by hand. It's a pretty nice location and I will definitely be back for some project I'm sure.

Crappy cinderblocks from Lowe's

Worst experience I have ever had. I ordered and paid for 3 full pallets of cinderblocks. Upon delivery, only 1 arrived. Store a manger literally didn't care and acted as if this was my problem, never apologized, and was a jerk without offering me any options for redelivery. I pushed back and demanded they get delivered same day. He told me I would have to wait 2 business days before the rest of it was redelivered. Totally unacceptable considering I had already taken a day off from work to be present for the order the day of and it was also the day the store scheduled. Luckily the delivery driver offered to go back and get the rest of it for me. I will NOT ever order from this Douglasville Lowe's again. Do yourself a favor and fire your store manager. He has terrible customer service.

I've purchased my home appliances from this particular Lowe's: a freezer and most recently washer/dryer and refrigerator.

The lumber section of the store is in a back corner, and isn't a very large area. While I was selecting my piece of wood, several men would just walk walk in front and around me, without saying excuse me nor being verbal at all. It was like I wasn't even there, to them. So as to not get touched or knocked over, I had to move away from the lumber twice, even though I wasn't finished making my selection, just so I wouldn't be "in the way." When I went to check out, I was standing in line, and the cashier, Don, called the gentleman who was behind me up to the register to check out. That gentleman let the cashier know that I was ahead of him and it was my turn to check out. I had actually been standing in line for a while before the customer behind me even got in line. Don then called me up- he offered no apology. As he checked me out, Don didn't ask if I had found everything ok. Didn't ask if I needed anything else. Generally unfriendly. I just generally noticed a certain theme in this store, and I don't like the vibe. Maybe some diversity, in gender and/or race, would help offset that vibe. I'm not sure, and don't really care because me nor my dollars will be returning.

I called a few times to see what their timeline look like, and all I could get was the guy was running behind. So zero stars for that. I went in one day to pick up a tool for changing out some plumbing and they had it. The other small local hardware store did not and I didn't want to go all the way to the Big Box store. So 3 stars for that. Oh and the young man that was at the front door who greeted me was less than professional.

I came in for paint, and was so anxious to get the heck OUT because of all the toxic noxious smells. I felt so bad for the employees! Then I saw a cat, and I asked about him. IDK but I felt awful for the employees (at least they get to leave after their shifts) and that POOR CAT. Animal abuse! I got my paint quickly and rushed out. Avoid this place if you value your health! Egads, I TRULY couldn't believe how horrific it was inside.

I attended the Douglas County Master Gardeners Plant Sale for the first time this year. This…read moreannual plant sale is held the first Saturday in May. Initially I had mixed feelings but now that I am starting to really enjoy many of the plants I purchased, I can honestly say that it was definitely a trip worth taking. Here is what initially gave me pause about the experience : It was held in a small crowded wooded area with uneven terrain and plenty of bugs. This was a problem because it was difficult to get around with carts and wagons. If you are smart, you take your wagon. It could have been held in their very spacious parking lot which would have offered a much better experience. The volunteers who were hosting the sale were difficult to identify. It would have been nice if they had all been wearing matching fluorescent vests or name tags. This is a small town so there was a lot of "visiting' going on when more attention should have been given to customers who had many questions were often left searching for assistance. When it came to the plants, not all of them were accurately labeled or priced and this created an inconvenience at check-out. There should be a rule that before plants are put out on display, they must be correctly identified and priced. We purchased quite a few plants and now that I have been able to identify them and they are starting to bloom, I am quite excited. I purchased several plants that you won't find in a local garden center and they were extremely affordable. If you go, observe the following: Arrive early Use bug spray Wear comfortable shoes Take a wagon or cart for convenience. Most importantly, know what is a "must puchase " and get it first!
