Super approachable and knowledgeable employees. Planting seed for new grass in my front lawn at least 5000 square-foot. David Quinn was able to stop what he was doing and talk to us for at least 20 minutes to educate us on all of the different types of seeds, fertilizer topsoil/compost that was needed. Pikes is all about the yard and gardening. They get a better variety of plants than Home Depot or Lowes, so worth the extra price if it is something you are looking for not generally available at all the super center stores. They have a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Their Pikes rewards program helps to offset the pricier nature of their products. read more

I get all my plants here they have a really good house plant section was able to find everything I was looking for that I couldn't find else where and I know how to take care of plants so they didn't die when I brought them homes. They are actually really well taken care of! read more

Went in to Pike Nurseries in Peachtree City for some Atlanta Blend grass seed. They did not have 50 lb bag only 25 which was priced higher than the 50 lb bag. I asked manager to sell me 2 25 lb bags for the 50 lb bag price since I had made the trip to the store and they did not have the 50 lb bag. She told me I could come back when they have the 50 lb bag and that was it. I told her that she was not taking care of their customers and she just turned around and walked off ignoring me. This is very poor customer service and rude on her part. read more

I'm so glad we ended up going to Pike Family Nurseries for our landscaping endeavors. We got attentive customer service and consultation from Thomas J for 2-3 hours. My husband Ivan had a folder of drawings of each side of our house, and Tom was attentive to our plans, respectful of our budget, and helpful in picking the right plants for our design. The selection was great and all the rest of the staff seemed to actually enjoy working there. Our plants are being delivered this Friday, at which time I will update my review based on everything coming "full circle" with our order. read more

So overpriced and AWFUL return policy. Their plants look absolutely terrible and two of them died in a short while after purchase (after doing all that one should do to keep simple plants like a citronella plant alive). Tried to return the duds I bought from here and they explained their "lifetime guarantee" is for ??? Don't know. Couldn't understand the sales girl as they made their guarantee so complicated that you'd need a lawyer to figure it all out. In contrast, I have had plenty of success this year with Lowe's, Costco, MEM Nursery (local). Lowe's has a one-year guarantee on ALL their plants, trees, and shrubs and I have used this on occasion with NO questions asked. Now let's talk their "free delivery" or delivery at all. We were going to purchase our Arborvitaes from them but after calculating not only their overpriced evergreens and their delivery fee (unless you pretty much live next door to them), it was going to cost a fortune!!! We went with MEM Nursery out of Douglasville and they saved us so much money with larger, healthier trees. As an avid gardener who buys from all over, this place is a joke. Just because you raise your prices and place yourself in "wealthier" areas does NOT mean you have QUALITY products. They don't guarantee their plants because they know they're crap and would go out of business. First and LAST time of EVER using them. BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

I went to this Pikes location to buy a Christimas tree on Monday. I was told by the young man helping me that everything in the store would be on sale at 20% off on Thursday. Great! I came back on Thursday am and picked out my tree. But when I tried to buy it at 20% off, I was told that I would have to wait until 5pm to get the sale price. I asked if they could make an exception so that I would not have to come back. "No." Then I asked if they could at least put a hold sticker on it for me so that I could be assured that it was still here for me later. "No." So, I had to make another trip back later that evening to purchase my tree and ended up having to find another one. I agree that they are very knowledgeable and attentive, but I would have liked them to be more customer friendly. read more
