Horrible customer service! Or should say 0 customer service! Ordered a freezer found out it was not garage ready and tried to cotact them. Haha yea after you get around the stupid robots on the phone you sit for an hour on hold before someone hangs up the phone! I spent all of Friday trying to speak to someone and it was impossible! Management has no care in the world about the customers! They hire kids who they can pay min wage, so in turn service sucks! Most of the employees run and hide when they see you need help. Cant get a help loading, or a fork lift unless you wait 1.5 hours! The forklift guys will do work in the store while contractors wait, then after they are done an hour later they'll get your stuff if they remember. There is a very few workers who have been there for years who actually do their jobs and go above and beyond for you! 1 of them are in the Lumber Yard at the only register that's not self checkout, 3 in appliances 1 in the paint dept and 1 in tools, if you could ever find him I'm sick of the crap us contractors have to deal with, most of us NEED to get back to our jobs, but id you go to lowes make sure you have a few hours to waste!! read more

i was to have a dryer delivered with a 4 hour window. I have no problem with that. At 703 a.m. I received a text message that they were on their way. 90 mkn later I received a text stating it was delivered. NO it wasn't. Another 20 min pass znd they pull up with a screeching halt. Take the dryer out. Three non English speaking people come to look at where they should put it. They got on the phone calling someone then they go out, put the dryer on the truck and leave!!!! I ordered a lawn mower from this store and was given a delivery window from noon-4pm. After over a two hour drive to wait at my empty new house I called for an update. Now I am being told this time window was an estimate (no one told me that when I bought it and it didn't say that on the receipt). Thanks for wasting 6 hours of my day Lowe's! Now I understand why this store has such low reviews. Ya I big problem. You took advantage of my older parents. They paid for a service to have the old dish washer taken, the old stove taken & new ones delivered. You sell them bull s** in the store you'll do everything, installation & come here to say you don't do dishwasher installation last second after you sold the service rather then make that clear in the store ? Btw as far the stove goes, they did not adjust the legs to put it flush on height with counter, there's like 3/4 inch difference Seriously thats all installation is ? Throw it in place & plug in ? . First time you cancelled Second time you "tried" to deliver, you said the drive way was too icy which was bull s** 3rd time two mid valley kids come to this house & for whatever reason are running behind so you rush & take it out on my older parents ? My father had to snip the the hosing to the dish washer with garden cutters Bc these mother f*** wouldn't give him time to unscrew the hose, otherwise they weren't even going to take the dishwasher They were behind, running late, had to go & weren't even gonna take the dishwasher A service that was f*** paid for Besides having to spend more money for the hoses, the plastic caps for over the spliced wires were missing So congrats, you took advantage of a disabled guy almost 70 years old smh Disgusting And Bc ur employees run late, this company takes out personal problems on the clients apparently We will not be getting anything from here anymore And I can proudly say as somebody whose given blank checks for the construction company I'm with to go out of my way & avoid lows from now on, as well side & sister companies i do business with read more

Lowe's Home Improvement - Dish washer - Hardware Stores Near Me - Dickson City, Pennsylvania

IF I could give zero Stars I would. I researched and ultimately purchased an LG washer/dryer set that was delivered at the end of May. I paid for haul away and installation. There was an issue at installation with a counter top that prevented the installer from completing the task or removal and installation of the new appliances. I totally understood and was told that if I had a contractor removed the counter top they would come back and install and haul away the old appliance. I was asked if I wanted them to leave the appliances and if I wanted them unboxed. I said yes, what I thought was a washer and dryer was placed facing the wall in my family room next to the laundry room. I never noticed that they were both washers and no dryer. I accept responsibility I ordered the set on-line and though I thought I toughly reviewed the order it appears I made a mistake. The constractor that came to fix the counter top let me know that I had two washers and no dryer. I called Lowe's Customer Service immediately the first CS agent was very understanding indicating because they came from the warehouse someone would call me back in 24-48 hours to give me resolution. 24-48 hours came and went so I called back again, the 2nd CS agent told me the issue had been escalated and someone would call me back. This morning 48 hours later no one called me back so I called again. The 3rd CS agent tells 1st she can schedule a pickup for one of the washers and I would get a refund in 3 to 10 business days and I could re-order the dryer. Then she asks if I can be put on hold so she can talk to her supervisor. I was put on hold for an extended period she comes back indicating she is still waiting for the supervisor and puts me back on hold. Then comes back again and indicates that since neither appliance is in a box and it is more than 48 hours neither can be returned per her supervisor. I asked what quality control measures are taken when they receive and online order that doesn't quite make sense. The person receiving the order, the person picking the order, the person loading the truck and the person delivering doesn't question why a home delivery would be for two washers and no dryer? Ultimately it is my fault and I totally understand that but were have we lost sight of human error and why did I never received a call back to explain their reasoning for not exchanging the appliance immediately versus making me wait all week and giving me excuse after excuse. I was on hold for a supervisor who finally answered after approximately 15 minutes his name is Joe continues to argue with me restating their open box policy and in no point along the line is any of their staff responsible as that is not part of their job to question and order or even think per Joe. Maybe I am being harsh as again ultimately it was my responsibility for making a stupid mistake. I could even understand a re-stocking fee for an unboxed item but nothing no flexibility or understanding of human error. Buyer beware there is no flexibility in their return policy for appliances and the Manager/Supervisor is unprofessional and in my opinion totally missed the mark. read more

I needed to match, as closely as possible, some shingles that had blown off my roof and Lowe's had the closest match. I bought three bundles at $44.98 each totaling $134.94 on February 6. The handyman that patched the roof finished his work the first week of May. I got some help loading up the two bundles of shingles that where not used and tried to return them this morning, May 16. I was told upon unloading the two bundles and bringing them to the store, that they could NOT be returned as they had been purchased 100 days ago and not within the 90-day limit. Even though Lowes is still stocking the items and they have not been used, I am not eligible for a refund upon a return. I could not even get a store credit, as up until today, I did shop regularly at the store. I understand return policies, especially if it is a seasonal item. However, they are still selling these shingles. Why could they not accept the item and reshelf it? It's better for the customer, better for the environment and better for the person needing to buy them in the future. I believe there was an opportunity missed here. My husband and I went there looking for a certain tool that he wasn't able to find elsewhere. We got there and I grabbed a scooter, as I have mobility issues. On our way out, a Vietnam vet with his dogs was coming our way, and he was having issues walking. Despite my needs I gave him the scooter because they only had 3 and one was out of service. If you want to purchase an item that was returned by someone else and just put on the shelf by a half-witted Lowe's employee go to the Dickson City store. Bought a $129 Kwikset entry door lock set. Once home it is evident that the box was a return. The little plastic bags of hardware inside are open. The instructions missing. So I sit here googling the how to install. This is not the first time this has happened. Thumbs down on Lowe's and specifically this store. Home Depot here I come. I'm done. It gets better. I decided that the parts all seemed to be there so I forged on and installed without instructions. All done...time to rekey. Guess what else is missing. The keys. Now I either have to take it all apart or call a locksmith. I am definitely going to get my money out of this store. They are going to pay to rekey the lock. What a half arse operation. read more

This is absolutely the worst store. The customer service is horrible. You wait forever for help. I waited nearly 20 minutes in the outdoor tools/lawnmowers area. I rand the buzzer a couple times. Several associates walked by and did not even pay any attention. I will never shop at this store again. This is on top of the last time I shopped in the store and the cashier took my bag with lightbulbs and slammed it down on the counter. I gave this place as many chances as someone could give a business. I'm not one to ever complain or write a review but in this situation I feel it's necessary to spare anyone from having what happened to me to them. I bought a lawnmower tractor about a month ago to be delivered to my house. They rescheduled my first delivery date to July 4th which is obviously not a great day to receive a delivery. So I rescheduled it for the following Monday. I live in New York so I had to take off my job just to make sure I'd be there. So I'm losing money from taking off plus the gas and tolls. Takes me about 3 to 4 hours just to get to my house in pa. So now it's Monday mu Window was 10 to 2 I waited all morning and gave the benefit of the doubt and waited until 4, then I call and ask if they're still coming. They assure me, yes the truck is on its way and you're two stops away. Now it's 9:30 at night no one shows up, no one calls and I call back the store and no one answers. So now I missed a day of work and have to drive all the way back to New York. So now the manager calls me and I tell him I can only be there on Mondays so he sets me up for the following Monday. I agree to give one more chance. So I take off and come back to pa to find out the "manager" must have forgot to tell them for Monday and they rescheduled it for Wednesday. Obviously I cancelled and that will be the last time I'll ever do business with them. Terrible customer service. 0 stars would be more accurate. read more

Utterly ridiculous. My GF & I tried to buy a $1,000-$1,100 gas grill for the past 2 weeks. Spent FOUR hours between 3 visits to the Scranton, PA and Vestal, NY stores. Neither store had an employee that was knowledgeable about grills or could find the 7 grills the Lowes website showed they had in stock. Tried several times to call the stores. No luck, no-one ever picks up a phone. Finally Lowes on-line live chat took pity and gave us the Professional Services tel number. Finally the Scranton Asst Mgr led us to open a credit card on-line to get a 10% discount. Despite high incomes and a credit score above 800 points, we couldn't get a credit line above $500, not enough to buy the grill we sought. Tried again to call a manager. NO pick up, NO luck, couldn't give my money away Guess What. NO need to ever go to Lowes again. read more

So a couple of weeks we did curbside for some lumber and of course not ready and had the worst treatment from staff. But Manager was awesome and a young lady at the Pro desk. But today we go back to get a few more sheets of lumber. The man that filled our order last time we were there could not find what we were looking for. He went and got a young man and he opened the box that it was in and that's it. Didn't help load it or anything. Then we were trying to purchase insulation and all the good ones were up high in a bundle and strapped. Told him we needed just two and he said ok and walked away. Did not help us or anything. We found a pair of clippers to snip the plastic piece wrapped around it but could not get it out because it is in a big huge bulk with three pallets on top. He never came back to help us just walked off. When comparison shopping Lowes usually has better prices then Home Depot but I just can't deal with the poor customer service. read more

Lowes is my first choice for a home improvement store. They usual have everything you need at the the store, but if they don't they will special order the item for you. Much like other department stores they price match items for other stores in the area to make sure you get the best price available. Most of the employees I ever dealt with are helpful in their area expertise. Lowe's Home Improvement - Hardware Stores Near Me - Dickson City, Pennsylvania

First I want to state that if you live in the area, drive the extra distance to the Wilkes-Barre store. Staff at Lowe's in Dickson City are incompetent. I have spent several thousands of dollars at Lowe's during the past 2 months after purchasing a home and desiring to complete a remodel. If you place an online order for pickup because delivery is not an option, the wait time is horrendous. My husband and I literally spent an hour and 40 minutes waiting for multiple people to figure out where the items were even though I had received emails stating the order was in. Calling this store is also a joke as you'll have to call numerous times due to randomly being hung up on after waiting a long time for someone to answer in the first place. My sister-in-law purchased an oven in September. We were given a timeframe for delivery. After the delivery timeframe had ended and still no oven, I called the store for an update. Due to being placed on multiple holds, randomly being hung up and several transfers, I was on the phone for over an hour and a half before the delivery men finally arrived. I hung up the phone without even speaking with someone who could help me. I have written few reviews in my life, but am finally fed up enough to write the scathing review that this store deserves. The last straw was an order I placed in store for home delivery on 11/13 that as of today, 12/11, I have yet to receive. I called 1-800-44-LOWES so I wouldn't have to deal with the incompetence of Dickson City store employees. The nice woman I spoke to told me that according to UPS, the items were delivered on 11/19 to an address I no longer live at. My sister-in-law still lives there, so I guarantee that did not occur. The most infuriating part is that I stood next to the gentleman in millworks and talked him through my address change... I was astounded that after the multiple purchases I had made and my updated address being linked to my Lowe's credit card that they would still have my old address in their system. After I gave this man my address, he asked me if the city was Lake Ariel or Lake Township. When I responded "Honesdale," he told me that wasn't an option. I looked at his computer monitor and told him he needed to change my zip code. He attempted this multiple times and continued to tell me that Honesdale was not an option. When he finally figured out how to update the zip code to 18431, he asked me if my city was Bethany or Honesdale. I held back hostility and politely responded "Honesdale." I double-checked his monitor before he finished the order to verify my address. Miraculously it was correct on his screen. I finalized my order at customer service and thought all was fine. How in the heck was it mailed to the old address? At any rate, my time on the phone with 1-800-44-LOWES became a nightmare as well because she had to get in-touch with the Dickson City store to continue. She came back on the line multiple times to apologize for the wait and tell me she was trying to get in-touch with the store. Even she was transferred multiple times. The end result was that the store refunded my money and I re-ordered the moulding on the phone with 1-800-44-LOWES as I refused to call or go to the Dickson City store. All-in-all I was on the phone for exactly 1 hour and 15 minutes. I will NEVER again shop at that store. It's either a drive to Wilkes-Barre from now on or we will shop at Home Depot in Honesdale. They have a smaller selection, but they are knowledgeable, courteous and available. That store is actually a pleasure to shop at. read more

I've had such a horrible experience in Lowes Dickson City on saturday May 30, 2020. On Monday May 25, 2020, my fiance and I purchased a grill in-store, which was still in a box and not assembled. When checking out, the cashier offered free assembly, which we agreed to. We were advised we can pick the grill up on Friday May 29, 2020. I called the store that Friday to confirm if the grill was assembled. I was advised it is, and can be picked up at any time. I advised it will be picked up the next day, Saturday May 30 by my brother as I needed him to transport it with his pickup. The following day my brother went to pick up the grill and he had the emailed copy of the receipt showing it was paid for in store. Customer Service advised him the grill which was already paid for, is not in the store and that they are sold out. A short woman named Jess approached him and stated she is the "manager" and will check the store for it. She returned stating the grill is not in the back and they are sold out. I would have to purchase a new grill.. When my brother contacted me stating this, I immediately went to Lowes. I was assisted by Barb in Customer Service. Barb was able to tell I was frustrated and went to the back in search of the grill which I purchased and paid for. After 30 minutes, she was able to locate it and bring it to us. At this time, my brother and I requested to speak to the "manager" Jess. Barb informed us that Jess is not a manager, she is just a cashier. When Jess came to Customer Service we questioned why she misrepresented herself as a manager.. she laughed. We then questioned why she advised she looked in the back for the grill, when indeed she did not and also questioned why she said I have to PAY for a new grill, when though this one was paid for. Again, Jess began to laugh and answer her cellphone mid conversation. When she disconnected her cellphone from the personal call, I mentioned that was very ignorant of her to do. Again, Jess laugh and stated "it's not my problem". We then requested to speak to a real manager as something had to be done with this disrespect, horrible Customer Service, and the possible fraud Jess attempted to create. Jess responded again with "it's not my problem, you have your grill now you can leave ". This was absolutely uncalled for!!! I raised by voice and told her she was ignorant and we need a manager now. She laughed and walked away and whispered "c**t".. that is absolutely disguesting for an employee to call a customer this type of language. Barb called a manager and spoke to Chris. Chris said "just give them $30 back". He would not speak to us. A man, possibly Chris, walked by and handed Barb a card to scan, then left again. A manager would not come speak to us. We will never return! They have lost a lot of business including multiple contractors business!! Your Customer Service is HORRIBLE and you allow your employees [Jess] to curse, answer personal cell phone calls while speaking to customers and disrespect customers. read more

Let me first state that besides what I am writing my review for, the staff at Lowe's have been really great and other departments. I wrote a big review on HD's yelp regarding my situation with Lowe's and why I went with the HD, but wanted to go into detail of my experience with Lowes. This review pertains just to flooring because as I had mentioned above, everyone and everywhere else in the store was great to us. We went to Lowe's as we just purchased a home in Clarks Summit and one of our immediate to do's was to purchase new carpeting for the living room and 3 bedrooms. We were needing new carpeting installed at the least, a week before April 6th, 2018 to air out for my fiancee's bachelorette weekend and the bridesmaids coming up for it. We went because of their promotion with free install, which I know can save you a couple hundred bucks and free moving of furniture etc (this is extremely helpful as I tore my shoulder and had surgery just short of a year ago come next month). Cool, so we go in and look at carpeting (particularly stainmaster cause we do have a dog and I like being outdoors and just forget to kick my shoes off, etc). As we are looking around, we come across some laminate flooring and after some talking, we decide the two smaller bedrooms will get the laminate, but ask Joe if laminate is installed for free as well if it totals more than $699 and were told, YES, in front of myself, fiancee and her parents. So we think, damn, that's a good deal and no brainer for us. We finally pick out our rugs and put our deposit down for the measuring of all 4 rooms which I believe was $35. Measuring was done within 2 weeks while I was away for business and my fiancee was present for them to come and do so. They come in, do their job and leave. We go to Lowe's afterwards when the estimate is done, to see our price and pay for it. Thankfully we did because the wrong colors were going to the wrong room! Also, we saw we were being charged $1k for installation of the laminate. $1k! When the material of padding and flooring was $1,005! We decided to learn on youtube on how to install laminate and though my butt cheeks and thighs were burning for days cause of the walking up and down to use my miter saw and getting on the floor to install, it was worth saving a thousand bucks. We brought this up to Paul (May have got his name wrong, as Joe who we did everything with wasn't there) and he apologized and said there must've been a miscommunication. We went over everything and he showed us the transition pieces that were going to be used and we saw it wouldn't have matched well with the flooring the rug would've met in the family room and kitchen. We decided to cut that out as well considering our transitions were still in perfect condition and couldn't figure out why we would've needed them in the first place. (we were being sold on something we didn't need) We were told one color will take up to 6 weeks to come in as it was special order, no problem cause it would've left enough time for it to air out before my fiancee's bachelorette weekend. Come install day, the guys brought a rug that was cut incorrectly (it was cut to the size of the master bedroom), but THANKFULLY he brought 2 pieces the same size (sarcasm) and would be able to do the living room, but with a HUGE seam running in the middle of the living room! We told him no, but he kept trying to tell us he would make it so the seam isn't noticeable, but nah, with time it will be and if I am paying a couple thousand for rugs that have a 20 year warranty, I want it to look good for at least 15 if I get it cleaned yearly. The district manager talks to me and says that they will get the rug within 2 weeks for a new install and apologized a thousand times. I get it, mistakes happen cause we are human, but I didn't appreciate him (installer) trying to get me to bite on a obvious flaw. This was Mid February. Come March 13th, I see HD is running the same special, but no cost for removing carpeting. So I say we go the 14th to Lowes and cancel our order at this point and look elsewhere. What happens? Lowe's calls us saying they have the carpet that was cut incorrectly and can install and I ask, where's my master bedroom's carpeting and get told it still isn't in. 9 WEEKS AND YOU STILL DON'T HAVE IT?! SHOULDN'T THIS HAVE BEEN SORTED TO SEE IF A RUSH CAN BE DONE?! I tell them no thank you and went to Lowe's, cancelled my order. When I went to customer service and explained the situation, the woman, who was a sweetheart looked at me with a "WTF, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" face and told me she will get this cancelled and reimbursed to me + the non refundable $35 for measuring/deposit. After that, went to HD and had my measuring done and carpet was scheduled to April 6th (bachelorette's weekend), but had to reschedule it for the 11th. We started the total process on the 15th when we paid to get everything in motion and cancelled March 14th. 2 months later! read more

Never ever buying anything from Lowe's again. I purchased washer and dryer from Lowe's and this is what happened. 1. We went to the store instead of buying online so that we won't miss any items that we need for installation. We even showed a picture of our outlet to make sure it's a right cord. But the store sales staff forgot to add the item to our order. So our dryer came without a cord and they couldn't install the dryer. It's a simple mistake so it was acceptable. 2. They were supposed to contact us to resolve the issue but instead I had to contact and talk to many different people to fix the problem but still nothing is done because of their poor customer service. 3. I talked to customer service for an hour(they transferred me and hung up on me so I had to explain the same thing over and over again) Finally she said she sill transfer me to the store delivery manager and put me on hold. Service feedback survey came out instead, and it hung up on me again. After dealing with customer service for an hour, I got nowhere and nothing was resolved. 4. I had to use their text msg service to complain all of this since they don't have any email customer service. 5. I was supposed to get a delivery confirmation call the day before delivery. But I didn't get a call so I had to call to find out the delivery time. Delivery time was supposed to 4:30-6:30pm. Delivery man came at 8pm and nobody notified me that it was getting delayed. The call never comes so we call because little boys have appointments. But now we find out at 7pm on a Sunday that they won't have it till over 2 weeks. So if we hadn't called one us would have spent a whole day waiting for an invisible fridge and missed our son's appointment. So my wife lost a days pay from her job and we still don't have a stove or any idea when it will be delivered. Hope they call first because I will not accept it now and will be cancelling my Lowes charge card tonight. I'm sure I can find another store to spend my hard earned money with. This company is garbage. read more

Try and buy a Protection Plan you will get 10 different stories of how it works ??? and there not cheap they must think I have money to blow away Also why do I get a bill for something that wasn't even delivered ? Today is May 9th ( my birthday) and my Riding Mower was suppose to be delivered between 4-8 PM well our dinner plans had to be cancelled and I waited most of the day for Lowe's to show up in case they were early in there delivery it's now almost 9 PM so I take it no delivery and if they do deliver it how can I check it out for damage ? Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, within days I was contacted by them and a Lowe's corporate BBB Liaison, within a week I had my Refund. It's a shame you have to force them to do their job by filing complaints, thank you BBB,!! read more

Prices are ok, but if you're in a rush, forget it!!! I called an hour in advance to order one of the hundreds of gallons I purchase from here annually annum I was in a hurry to get back to the job site, and they decide to start looking up the color in the computer when I come the the counter to pick it up... Seriously though for a store that claims to cater to Tradesmen, you'd think they would get the fact that we don't have an extra half hr to stand around because the kids at the paint counter would rather text his. Gf than make the paint I ordered an hr before. read more
