Columbus, Indiana.Not UTah.Month #8! Still this saga continues. We are still working on parts. Part of my missing parts came in but some were not ordered! So, how do you partially install without screws, pins....... This is like ground hogs day at lowes... November 11th, 2026 I had a interior door and storm door installed, today is 5/30/2026 and my issues are still not resolved. On day of install I noticed a terrible scratch on the plate that is attached to the storm door handle. Installer took pictures, he said, and sent to Lowes for a replacement. The interior door was very hard to open and close after install. I had to shoulder the door shut after I got inside to get the deadbolt to lock. The interior door handle became loose after months of my having to pull hard to get the door to lock and unlock. Snow, rain ,it didn't matter, I had to put all of my stuff down to lock my door going out because it took both hands to accomplish the task, one hand pulling hard while the other hand turned the key. I received a partial fix on the storm door, handle and plate replaced, but the parts didn't match up and it became hard to lock. When a different installer came out to look at the storm door he informed me that my storm door was missing parts! Months later, the initial installer, replaced the entire storm door handle set (that is now broken a month or so later, it took pliers to get it unlocked the other day and it hurts your knuckle to open and close the lock; it doesn't fit in the space between the frame and the lock) he informed me that when he picked up the storm door back in November to install my doors, the bottom of the box for the storm door had a hole in it and parts were missing out of it. He said he took photo's and sent them to Lowes day of install, but there was no follow up. Why he didn't let me know about this in the first place I don't know. Why someone was taking parts out of my box I'm sure I don't know (I think that is called stealing). Now months later, interior door is fixed (mostly) and I can get in and out, with out a fight with the door and dead bold. After many, many calls, an email I thought went to corporate but it was customer care who have been little to no help with each call came promises to call back, stay with it till it is resolved or email me...I now have parts on order to replace what is missing on the storm door. When I went in to Lowes today to ask if a new door handle to match the first one was on order as well and encountered Mr. Steve and his condescending attitude, I found that there is no replacement door handle on the order. Even after my call to customer care on 5/28/26 to inform them I could not get into or out of my front door due to the lock on the storm door being stuck in the locked position, there was no sense of urgency with them to resolve that issue, I was told someone would be out in June to resolve that (so glad I found the pliers worked). The fact that I could not get in or out of my door was of little concern to them. After I left the store today knowing the door handle is not on order I called customer care yet again (the number of times I have called them in the nearly 6 months is too many to count) after a long wait the lady that answered today let me know that she was very thorough and found no record of a door handle having ever been paid for for the storm door. Great, now where did door handle number 1, the good one that unfortunately had a terrible scratch on it, come from in the first place? And where did the second door handle that recently broke come from? Miss Thorough tells me that I need to go in and pay for the door handle I had in the first place when I started this miserable journey if I wanted that door handle! Turned out after she got even more thorough she found that a door handle came with the storm door that had a hole in the bottom of the box that was picked up by the installer nearly 6 months ago. The door handle that comes with the door I found out is like the 2nd door handle I had installed which is now broken. So, someone took my door handle with the other missing parts from the box with the hole in it. Where door handle #1 even came from is now a complete mystery. What is it with this store? No more, I will go anywhere but here when my fridge finally gives out and anywhere but here when I replace my carpet and anywhere else before I buy anything but dirt...they can't screw that up I don't think. How will this all end, no idea, I have a one year warranty so we have another 6 months to find out. This is not acceptable customer service, where does it end, where does the accountability come in, its not like I can get a refund for the door and just put the old one back...Oh, and when I came home today, my interior door is not shutting without an extra push and a loud click, it is hitting somewhere...so now there is that. I made a purchase there a couple of weeks ago. They connected the purchase to the wrong account. I have talked to half a dozen people about getting the purchase into my account and they keep telling me it can't be done. How difficult can it be to look up the record of the purchase and change the incorrect information? read more

for the most part always have the service or employee assistance that we need to get going in the right direction with home repairs.

I bought a dishwasher here and took it home that day. I used it twice. After the first time I contacted my plumber about a leak. He came and checked it and said it was hooked up fine. The second time I was more irritated with him. He brought backup and they eventually discovered the problem was the door being warped. This took a couple weeks to discover. Lowes has a 48 hour return policy. It's horrible customer service. I paid for a broken product. So now I'm out that money. I won't be back. My plumber is the man, though, and I appreciate him putting up with me and finding the issue. read more

Nice well stocked store. Customer service needs improving. No employees go out of there way to help customers.

I would rather pull out my teeth with a pair of needle nose pliers than ever step foot in this place again. I get disconnected every time I call and had to drive across town on 4 occasions to solve issue that they screwed up with the delivery and installation of my dishwasher. read more

We brought a NEW refrigerator at this Lowe's we had a great young man help us named Mason we picked it up ourselves but ........ it's doesn't work we have lost $100's of dollars worth of food and guess what ?????? We have to drive it back to return it plus buy a new one again .... help??? V read more

Just left Lowe's in Columbus, Indiana. In the outside Garden area there was Pond Rock on a Pallet. Over the pallet on the metal racks was a price tag for $3.98. I loaded ten bags on a cart and my wife and I proceeded to checkout and was charged $4.98 a bag. Noticing the total we questioned the cashier and he said take them to returns. There were two female cashiers in the next line so one of them went back and discovered that the pallet of Pond Rock was in the wrong place but verified it was under the $3.98 price tag. They refused to help other than say push the rock up to Customer Service. We went to the parking lot and my wife ran in to the store to see if we could get the difference. They sad no the price was $4.98. It was only $10 but the point is they had the rock in the wrong place under a $3.98 price tag and that enticed us to buy at that price. Poor customer service. Any other store would have gladly admitted the mistake and gave it to us for $3.98 a bag. I shop a lot but will now take my business to Home Depot or Menards. It's not the money it is the attitude the cashiers and Customer Service displayed toward us as paying customers. read more

Personal service was Wonderful! I purchased a new water heater, and they offered installation! My water heater purchase was at 4:00 PM. At 9 am the next day, the service who works with them had picked up the water heater, brought it to my house and had it all installed within an hour! Wow! They also hauled the old one away! Many thanks to Lowe's team, Alana & Syx, and their install team Michael & Andrew! They were excellent at personally making sure you're needs are met quickly! Best customer service I've ever had! Will return to my Lowes on 10th St, Columbus, IN., and have great confidence in their services and products! read more

Purchased a very futuristic washer and dryer pair--in a couple of months the units were malfunctioning. The manager, delivery folks and appliance staff were great. I chose a different brand of washer and dryer. Lowes delivered the new and picked up the others without any hassle. I will not forget the manager and how easy he was to work with. read more

Purchased a Weber Grill recently with an assembly and delivery to my house. I get a call the day of delivery from the Driver (JB Hunt) stating the grill had been physically damaged. The driver said he told an associate about the damage prior to loading the grill but was told since I had a discount to load it anyway. I had a military discount and had paid for a new unit. Tried calling the store multiple times to get this problem resolved but would only get transferred around. I finally went to the store to get a response to be told a new grill would be delivered the next day. Associate said I would be contacted that evening with a drop off time from JB Hunt. I received no notification and again tried calling the store with the same results asking to speak to a manager. Was told the manager was unavailable. Was given JB Hunts number to call for the delivery but the number disconnects once you call. I've shopped Lowes in other states that I've lived in but this is the absolute worst store for customer service I've ever experienced. Don't waste your time here. read more

This is the worst Lowe's store I've ever encountered. We just moved to Columbus In from Cincinnati. We loved going to Lowe's in Cinn vs Home Depot because of the customer service. I'm sad to say it's a very different story in Columbus. I had to call several times to follow up, put on hold for long periods of time, passed around to many people and still to no avail. Scott, Lauren and Max in the outdoor lawn and garden department are as good as it gets for anyone who loves to dig in the dirt. They go above and beyond for their customers, have strong knowledge of their plants, trees, shrubs, etc. and are always pleasant and helpful. They are living examples of why I have stayed loyal to Lowe's for 23 years of owning and operating bed and breakfasts! read more

Reluctant to shop here because of lack of customer service, apparently can't keep enough help. ex. the garden center was closed before 5 pm while I was shopping. No one told me it was closing until I started to check out even though there were two employees there, so I had to take my items all the way inside to pay for them and back to my car which I had parked in front of the garden center. Hardly ever is there anyone close by inside to answer questions or offer assistance. read more

I called the Columbus IN store looking for a planer when I found that the Madison, IN store was out of them. After calling three separate times i FINALLY got ahold of someone in tools and they told me they had one there on the shelf and come on up and get it. i drove the 45 miles from the madison store to the columbus store to find that the only one they had in stock was the floor model that was missing a box and had obviously been dropped a few times. the front casing was misaligned and had scuff marks all over it, not to mention the sku number had been written on it largely in permanent marker. When I confronted the person who told me they had one in stock he said "Uhh, we do... we can sell you the floor model...." I looked over the floor model and figured the majority of the problems with it were aesthetic and if they would knock some off the price (for being a damaged floor model) i'd take it but they wouldn't even do that! Full price or nothing! They said since they were going to be getting more in stock sometime later they couldn't discount the floor model. Overall they were willing to do absolutely nothing to even try to appease me. In the end i'm out a 90 mile round trip, two hours of my saturday and who knows how much gas. I will not be shopping here or any Lowes again in the near future and will be advising my friends and family to do the same. read more
