Lowe's employees are usually friendly and helpful - when you can find them. Sometimes we get lucky and we don't have to wander the store looking for someone to guide us. But sometimes we are unable to get help, and have to go to the help desk for answers. We appreciate all that this Lowe's has to offer. Whether it's something small like batteries or big like a water heater, we are glad this Lowe's is here for us to patronize. We find the prices to be reasonable and competitive. The same lady I've dealt with before, strokes again. Just never buy paint products from Lowe's. Go to Home Depot. I got a semi transparent stain mixed from a guy who sounded like he had no clue what was going on. It ended up looking like a thick dark blue on my project. It was supposed to be a charcoal gray that you can see through to get the wood grain appearance. It basically ruined the project, because I didn't have time to start over before my sister's baby shower. They typically take back anything, but this one lady refused. Now I'm going to get a chargeback. I win, but now they're not getting anymore paint purchases from me. They inevitably screw it up anyway. Their paint matching sucks. read more

Hit or miss with the help. A few people are very helpful and will go out of their way to go to a different dept. to assist. But i have found most to be unhelpful. I purchased a LG refrigerator and didn't realize they installed the door incorrectly until I went back into the store and opened the fridge again. Lowes had installed it. I spoke with a "manager" that was called over to assist and they told me they can't do anything about it after 30 days, even though I purchased a warranty plan - they told me to call LG and gave me the number for LG. LG said they cant do anything and Lowes needs to be the one to fix it. Here I am on hold with Lowes again because of an unhelpful "manager" who tried to make my problem someone elses. NOW Lowes tells me I have to go back to LG to tell them to fix the door when they told me it was Lowes issue. Love this red tape. so my Contractor bought a door by Relabilt which is a manufacturer that produces doors strictly for Lowe's no one else. I had a problem with the door. I saw the bottom of the door had an issue where the vinyl buckled I removed a small section of the vinyl and found at the door was totally rusted. I called Lowe's. They told me I had to call the manufacturer which I did who told me that unless I had a receipt for the door that I had no warranty only the contractor had a warranty well obviously my Contractor didn't give me the receipt for the door so now I am SOL because my Contractor unfortunately passed away. I will never buy anything from Lowe's, but in any way would require a warranty receipt. It's a total rip off. read more

I just want to shout out thanks & kudos to the garden center staff. I've been to 3 different Lowe's recently & had a filled flat roller cart with rocks, pavers, heavy stuff. This store was the only 1 who offered to help me load my car! Told me to leave it there & pull up. A gentleman & woman put plastic down & loaded it all. They didn't let me help! I wished they allowed tips because I would've definitely tipped them. I told them that the other 2 stores never even offered even though I struggled to push the cart out the door. Said it was unacceptable & not up to Lowe's standards. Fantastic customer service. They need to train the other stores. Got a deal on mulch 5 for $10 too. read more

Purchased flooring from our Clearwater Lowe's. Associate at night was wonderful!! However the next day when we back to pick up the remaining boxes of flooring the staff (3 associates) were argumentative(telling us we had to take open boxes) When inventory show over 100 boxes in stock. Obviously they didn't want to take the time to get some down. One associate got in my husband face and told him to take the open boxes or leave. My husband ask him to walk away. Store manager 'on vacation'. No one will give district or regional numbers. Spent over $1300! Not only the worst customer service but we felt physically threaten by the male associate. read more

Organization is a bit wonky in this store. You'd expect screening to be in the window section, but it's quite literally on the opposite end of the store. Hanging supplies for mirrors and pictures were pretty far from tools. Not sure if it's designed to make you walk around and see more, but it is a bit frustrating when you just want to ge the materials so you can start your project. The garden area was nicely organized, but the associate we asked for help regarding soil didn't know the answer and told us we would have to ask someone else and the only other associate we could find was busy on a forklift at the time, so that was a bit frustrating. read more

This location is just west of US19 across from Westfield Countryside Mall. It's been a while since I've been to this location. The store was clean and amply stocked. We were mostly there to look over the flora and fauna area of the store. The plants were mostly were kept. In the past, we've bought a washer and dryer from this location because they could guarantee 'next day' delivery. I assume that policy is still in place. Overall, its a clean store however it can be quite a challenge to find anyone to help you locate a product or advise you on installation/help questions. We've had better customer service at the Clearwater Mall location. read more

We've always had good experiences with Lowe's and stick with them for everything needed at home. Have bought all our appliances and home items from Lowe's. This time I needed a tile floor and Terry in flooring helped me quite a bit, now David is also helping since we paid a month in advance for this job. Tile was delivered just as promised. Installation was set in advance 2 weeks ago with timely confirmation calls to be ready for their arrival this morning. I took 2 days off work to be here. After 4 hours no show I called the installation company at the number they gave me. They want to reschedule for next week. This is devastating to me after all the work and month long preparation, including payment in advance. To receive no notice, that I had to call twice to find out what is going on. I then called David at Lowe's and he is on it, which I appreciate very much, if he can work something out for us. I understand business and emergencies but the installation company not notifying us or even trying to arrange alternatives is just not acceptable. Lowe's management, on the other hand, is in good communication on it. I will update and change rating when this cycle is complete. read more

Our go to Lowes. Entrance is difficult coming from Dunedin now that they have the Main Street entrance closed off. Huge parking lot. Lots of standard choices. New mark downs on any given day which are not advertised. Very large garden area. Staff are around. Some are friendly and helpful and others not so much. Luck of the draw, I guess. Check out is usually fairly quick. Returns can be tricky since there are only a couple of people working at a time usually. Cons - carts are everywhere throughout the parking lot. That isn't the stores fault necessarily. If people would use the cart returns and stop being so lazy it would help. I always end up taking back every cart I see on my walk to the front doors. read more

We are doing a total home remodel and are now at the point of purchasing window coverings with no idea where to start. We called three major blinds/shutter companies out to our home and received three very different levels of service and quotes. We then went to Home Depot where we couldn't even find anyone to help us and when we talked to a manager, we were told someone "called out" and then when they did find someone to help us, he had an attitude and said he wasn't typically in that department and couldn't help us with specifics. Then we went to Lowe's which is where we should have started! Kayla Hayman in the blinds department started with our price point and literally showed us all of our options based upon our needs for each room. She was extremely knowledgeable about each product and patient with us as we went through each one. We could not have been happier with the level of customer service she provided us! They installed a screen door for me and within two months parts started failung. I called them to have them fix it and the guy came out he said parts would need to be ordered. I waited a couple of weeks didn't hear back called them again and they told me they have no record of ever installing the door. I had to call the manufacturer and get the parts, and hire a handyman. Additionally, it was the lowes installer who actually filed the warranty with the manufacturer. Pretty sad since this was the fourth door o had them install in two years, first and last one by this lowes. Additionally the installer made a number of holes in my molding which I had to have repaired. Would be better off doing it yourself or going somewhere else. This experience has been awful! I called to get some information, and when arrived in the store another associate said that information wasn't correct. I purchased an in stock item to be delivered next day (today). I was told between 8 and noon. I was told I'd get a call to confirm that night! I never received a call and when I call the store at 8:30pm I was told that the delivery people went home. It is now day of delivery close to 12:30 pm and no delivery! I called the store and talked to Michael who was more interested in being right that working with me. He said 12:00 is an estimate! I said you had 4 hours that is enough of an estimate. He had zero interest in working with me, making it right, he was more interested in making me understand an unacceptable situation. I took 4 hours off of work to be home! I lost money! Wife and I were prepared to buy a refrigerator but had a few questions. She had no answers nor did she have any desire to find them. The Samsung Bespoke had three price points ranging from $2100 to $3400. She only offered a vague guess at the difference and insisted we couldn't order any of them. We bought over three-hundred dollars worth of paint and over $700 for bathroom vanities today. Whoever was working in the paint department mixed our paint in a 5 gallon bucket and one single gallon can. My husband and I both have issues with our backs and it must have weighed over 100 pounds. When you're buying paint in quantities like that it should be mixed in whatever way that it's safe for the person who's taking it out of the store to lift it up. My back has been hurting since I helped carry it into the house. Then one of the employees - a woman - came outside with my husband and before he could turn around she lifted the 5 gallon bucket into our car. A male worker walked by knowing full well how heavy the bucket was. My husband said that she asked him to help her and he walked by like he didn't hear her to collect carts in the parking lot. This woman said that she had torn rotator cuffs on both shoulders. After we muscleed the paint into our house, I tried to call and speak to the manager and was hung up on. I've never had so many cancelled deliveries and excuses. This is one of the worst Lowes out there (Lowe's Corp- fix your distribution channel ASAP!!) Reason for 1 star- they cancelled Stove delivery twice without notifying me. Prior to that, the original order was never submitted. This is ALOT longer than expected delivery date originally provided. I also ordered interior doors and it's been a month now and haven't received them! Lowes is great BUT their professional installers (CRUME) who they have a contract with are the WORST!!! NEVER hire Lowes (CRUME) for any installation! About 6 weeks ago I had paid in-full & upfront, through Lowes, for a dishwasher install via Crume. 3 times they were either a no-show or cancelled at the last minute. Today the installer never even called to cancel. I even bought my own water line, drain hose and connector so there would be no excuse to delay again. Each time they rescheduled me, it was at end of their 2 week wait list! Meanwhile my new dishwasher has been sitting in my Livingroom for about 6 weeks, and the broken dishwasher smells. They have the absolute WORST, LAZIEST, INCOMPETENT installers, who do not want to work. They have no regard for you nor your time. No wonder why they make you pay in-full & upfront. I could have had my plumber install this the 1st week but I was concerned it would negate my warrantee. However, NOTHING is worth this kind of insulting treatment and aggravation! read more

Purchased $23,000 of windows from Lowes Clearwater through the salesman "G.H." who is a licensed general contractor through the state of Florida. Was told the windows could not be ordered right away unless I prepaid 100% and sign a waiver of the 72 hour right of recision. After having a horrible experience having my $14,000 fence installed through this store I was very hesitant. The contractor assured me that this will be a positive experience. I made the mistake of signing the contract and moving forward. Since signing the contract the GC has ignored several phone calls and inquiries regarding my order. When the windows/doors came in, the subcontractor for the install contacted me to schedule an install date. At this time I was told that I would have to take four days off for the installation. No one told me this. Fine. I took four days off. I also had to take delivery of the windows. Fine, I took four hours off for them to be delivered. I receive an email and text stating that if I do not come and pick up my order of caulk from a locker it will be returned to stock. I DID NOT ORDER CAULK. Spent 40 minutes being transferred around on telephone to find out why I have to pick up caulk I did not order. GC did not return call or text - totally ignored. Lowes installation service department said they would call me back - never did. Turns out the installer was supposed to pick up. Fast forward - installation day. Furniture all moved. Window coverings removed as required for installation. Subcontractor arrived on time and was very professional. Immediately noticed damaged and broken windows, one window was impact (not supposed to be) and there were missing pieces for the installation. More importantly the subcontractors informed me that the sliding glass doors were too thick for the openings. There would be a 1/2" to 2" overhang outside my home which would prevent me from using my hurricane shutters. How the F does this happen? Don't FL GC's have to at least know how to use a measuring tape? Apparently not. I am so glad that Protech, their subcontractor was so professional and honest to recognize the issues before installing the doors. So, you would think someone would at least call me after this disaster happened, right? NOTHING. I had to call them. One rep. arranged for pick up of the windows/doors for today between 12-4. Fine. I took four hours off to be here for the pickup. This rep. said someone would call me. No one called. Called back the second day. Was told someone would call me. No one called. And, as I was out this morning running errands before the scheduled pickup I receive a call at 10:00 am from the pick up people saying that they are in front of my house. Par for the course. Windows picked up. Still no word from Lowes. NOTHING! Here I sit with no answers, no windows, no $23,000 and no recourse because Lowes contract makes you sign away your all legal rights. I have to submit to binding arbitration with the artbitrator of their choosing. I can not join any class action lawsuit ( did not know there was one - OMG!). How bad does a company have to be if you include all these accountability waivers in a contract!!! Stupid of me for signing it - I own that. Lowes is above the law in the state of Florida and has no accountability. I'll update this review IF and when I hear something. In the meantime - Beware of Lowes. read more
