My daughter and I decided to walk to the plaza instead of driving down. I have gone into the store…read moremany times before. The staff have always been overly helpful, and I now realize it's not so much to be of assistance, but to monitor you in their store. However, today my daughter and I went in each carrying a bag with some groceries. Since we had walked we had to bring the bags into the store. The clerk quickly approached my 13yr old daughter in front of me and requested she give him her items that were PURCHASED by her. I was kind of shocked, and insulted at the same time. I told the other store clerk who was passing us that my daughter had no intention of stealing their hardware. She than told me that the clerk should've taken my belongings as well. I decided instead of handing over my bags, which contained my cell phone, credit cards, cash and food from my previous purchase, it would be best if my daughter and I left the store instead. We than had to stand there, embarrassed and insulted, and wait until they finished checking out another customer to retrieve my daughter's bag. I work hard for my money and buy what I need, not steal. I have never felt more uncomfortable in a store like I did in that moment, my daughter was also on the verge of tears because she felt so embarrassed being picked out like that. If they can't trust us shopping at their store, why should I be trusting them with my food and personal belongings? That can go both ways. Needless to say we won't be returning to that store again.

On Sept. 8, Ian was helping me order insulation, plywood and strapping. I was quouted almost $300…read moremore for the 3 bags of insulation. I needed to ask if they price matched because the total seemed very high. Ian was obliging and we found I was going to be overcharged by about $300. Then at the cash, I was charged double for the plywood. I was the one that noticed. Ian seemed ambivalent and not overly concerned..... not the apologetic reaction I would have expected. I guess he was having a bad day because service there is usually very good.

A lot of camping and survival gear. The tool section is a bit sketchy, Its mostly all made in china crap that will break the first time you use it. I got a 3/8'' ratchet extension and i twisted it right off on a 1/2'' bolt. But you get what you pay for i guess, for $3 you can just chuck it out and buy another one. Overall a cool store.
