I wish I had read these reviews prior to going to this Lowes, Heart Lake Brampton store. The worst customer service ever!!!! They treat you as if they are giving you a favor. When I went to make this large purchase 3 weeks ago in their pluming dept., we were greeted by this nice woman and she helped us thoroughly. I was impressed with her customer service and gave her an excellent review when she sent me the survey. Two weeks later, when some of the materials we bought were broken and had to return, we were given a little attitude. Unfortunately, you do not realize that things are not working properly until you install them and have the water run. The following week, one product had a leak so I contacted this woman in plumbing to let her know that we will be coming by to return it, no response from her. I tried messaging her again, no response. We ended up going to the store only to be treated with disrespect by this expressionless, rude, uncourteous woman (apparently a Manager) who didn't even bother to say 'hi' and gave us this weird look as if asking 'what do you want'? I could sense this was not going to be a pleasant experience. She refused to return the item as it is not hygienic and it is not their policy to return an installed item. I said how would you know if a product is working until you install and run the water? And if it's not working why does your policy say that we can return within 30 days. She was speechless and didn't like me questioning her. She told us to go back the next day and someone will replace the time as she was understaffed at that time. We went back the next morning and asked for this particular woman as we did not want to start with the whole story with a new person. They had to page her 3 times and finally arrived with a long face. I almost felt like saying 'I am sorry you have to work'. Again, no hello, didn't even speak to us and gave us a stare. She told another woman at customer service to get us the item. When this other woman requested someone from plumbing to get us the item, a mature man came and didn't even listen to what we had to say. He had met us when we bought the stuff originally. He finished his job in one sentence by saying it's not Lowes problem. You go to the manufacturer. I simply told him I am not satisfied with the answer he is giving me. He walked away while I was still talking to him. At this point my husband got mad and said 'we are still talking to you buddy' and he mumbled something and kept walking. I didn't want to create a scene, and asked for the store manager. Guess what? No store manager made an appearance. But they had the item in stock and could replace it. When I went to check where he got the item from, it was from a previously opened box which was probably returned by someone and still could be faulty. By now, we had wasted two days and I was almost in tears and exhausted, needless to say stressed out. After all this, I still don't know if the replacement part they gave me is working or not. I have to wait for the plumber to reinstall. I am writing to Lowes corporate office and the store manager after posting it here. They are supposed to be a customer service store and should not have customers facing staff who have no manners or training in customer dealings. I could not believe the expressionless woman was a manager. If these are the types of people working as managers, one can only imagine the staff...... We will never forget how rudely we were treated by Lowe's staff. We will not be going back again!!! We will escalate this complain to corporate office. read more

Worst company to deal with. Their concept of 'Customer Service' is a friggin' joke. Home Depot and RONA have way better standards. I placed an online order a week ago for 3 items. Part of the order was to be shipped and the other 2 items were in store pick-up only (could not be shipped). So I waited expecting the order to arrive, just like with any other store. But no emails arrived. No messages. No calls. Then one week later, part of the order was simply just cancelled. No reason given. No way to get in touch with customer service and no way to ascertain any order updates. Got their online so called Toll Free Number in the order cancellation email they sent me, turns out that number is NOT IN SERVICE. An official toll-free customer service number, attached to all their emails for everyone to call... was not in service. Great! Not to be deterred, I initiated an online chat with their customer service reps, waited for 45 minutes to speak to someone. The agent "Jennifer S" was somewhat helpful but could neither provide me with any order updates, nor could she directly cancel my order from her end. Had to call the store. The store would not pick-up. waited for another 45 minutes. Still no mojo. By now, I have expended 1.5 hours simply trying to get someone (either at the official customer service center or one of their stores) to simply CANCEL my entire order because I am tired of waiting and talking. But guess what, they can't even do that... The agent takes their time to reply back and angrily harps at me, each time I ask for an update. So for my 2 cents... Do yourself a favour and stay away from this company! You'll thank me later... read more

Worst store and customer service ever. I took my mother to pick up a prepaid online order, because they wouldn't let anyone else pick it up. We waited over an hour for them to find her order. The customer service were rude and ignorant. It took four employees and a manager to find her order, and they couldn't even offer a sorry for the inconvenience. As we sat and waited we watched at least 10 employees standing around doing nothing when they didn't even have a checkout open. The employees were also completely ignorant to the fact that people were walking out without paying for their large items, and when the alarm would go off an employee would just shut it off. I will never shop at a Lowe's again, nor should anyone else. read more

If I could give them 0 stars- I would! I waited 20 minutes to pay for light bulbs from their terrible selection. No cashiers open, 2 girls in customer service and neither one acknowledging the massive lineup forming. When I asked if there were any more cash registers I was politely told there were no more available. I thought Lowe's policy was to open a new cash register when the lineup was longer than 2 or 3 customers?? I guess that policy is no longer valid because the cashier manager came out and ducked back in his office without saying a word. Finally trekked it up to the back of the store (lumber area) where their only useful cashier was able to let me pay for my lights- THANKS LOWE'S read more

Worst customer service! First and last online order with this store. Waited almost 15 minutes while only one person was on the phone. Didn't say boo to me. 5 other staff members standing around. Finally asked lady in returns to help. She was kind to help look up my order. Finally customer service person looked in cage for my paid prefer (went back there 3x). Wandered around. Still waiting now, 40+minutes later. They called all over the place to find my products (that were in stock. 45 minutes later it was found in the same cage that was checked 3x. Surely things could be handled better than this. Seems I am not the only one with this complaint. This is my first online complaint. read more

Lowe's has reasonably priced items. However, their customer service and delivery of service/items is horrible. My mother would have liked to used them to renovate her home however, they've failed her a number of times. During the spring she had ordered 4 new toilets from Lowe's and it took months before she got them. She would constantly call and visit the store to find out when they would be delivered. All levels of management would say that they would be in within 2 weeks but they would never arrive. It became insulting when she received an e-mail from the company asking her how is she enjoying the new toilets, when she never received them. She eventually had to demand to either get the toilets or her money back immediately. They finally gave her the toilets, but it due to the time laps it threw the bathroom renovations behind schedule. She hoped that the toilet incident was a rare mishap. She had ordered a custom vanity to install in one of the ensuite bathrooms in her home. I was there at the store with her when she asked the sale representative if the custom vanity would come with drawers. It was important to have those for accessibility reasons. The representative said yes and she placed the order. The representative told us the parts would be in by Christmas and would be able to be installed shortly after that. The parts never came until mid-January of the following year. The contractor that worked for Lowe's who was supposed to install the vanity came extremely late. He wasn't able to install the items because Lowe's sent the wrong vanity set. When my mother inquired to see what happened they said the set she ordered did not come with drawers (despite being told previously that they did) and if she wanted drawers she would have to pay $400 more and have the set reordered. My mother and I did not think she should have to pay more for the mistakes Lowe's made, especially since the bathroom that was being renovated has not been functional since we've done business with Lowe's. After going back and forth Lowe's only increased the charge of the new order to an additional $100. My mother just wanted to get the bathroom done with instead of starting over with another company. She refuses to give that store any more business. Currently the ensuite remains unfinished since Lowe's still has not let us know when the vanity will be in and when it can be installed. She would rather pay more for better service and to save time. Neither she nor I will be shopping at Lowe's again. read more

The worse service ever I rather be at Home Depot or anywhere else any day, to get a light bulb from their hidden stock I had to see 6 different employee they kept on passing me around while they stood around doing nothing one of them ( name - preaty) asked me "where is the blub" like I work there so i should know where the heck it is... after when asked for the manager he (name - Steve) showed up 10 min later and as it turned out he was 2nd person out of the 6 who didn't help so clearly he didn't give a shit about my complaint at all and when I called the complaint department I got put through the USA office and I was on hold for 30 min for the rep to even locate the store because it was in Canada how stupid is that you can't even find a store by postal code. Clearly this is false advertising "that we care about our service" BULL SHIT.... I was force to give 1 star when I really want to give -10 stars read more
