I've never had a bad experience here. The employees are always really nice and helpful. They helped me choose a washer and dryer set and showed me how to register it with whirlpool and activate my warranty. I also used Lowe's delivery service. This review is based solely on the friendly nature of the staff that work at the front of the store as greeters and taking care of people with 'Store Pick-up' orders. Just like any Lowe's, they have a greeter as you walk through the door that offers to direct you where you need to go. Very friendly. The person at the counter dealing with in store pick up items was friendly and knew what they were doing. They hunted down our stuff quickly and loaded it up into a cart for us to make it easier to get out to the car. Overall a quick friendly experience when working with Lowe's on the purchase on-line items and pick them up in the store. Let's be honest, I was irate when I entered the store but was determined to be my usual kind, gracious and happy self. We waited again for someone to wait on us. She was extremely professional but was a trainee. It seems they had the washer in stock and the computer didn't show one anywhere that could be trusted. So we waited while her trainer finished with her current customer. She proceeded to try and tell me the unit I have researched for weeks is a "special order"! After being in at least 9 different appliances departments (before the storms hit) not one person has said anything about it being a special order! After my rebuttal she backed off that "statement" and said each time she's sold one it was a special order purchase for her. I walked to the front of the store to try and call the Fultondale store again to try and prevent driving there in vain. read more

What a terrible terrible experience I continue to have at Lowe's in Trussville store number 0594 On edwards lake road. Three times I have purchased items for delivery and three times they have not delivered on the day selected and this time not at all. I waited all day yesterday and today for my delivery and it never showed up. My wife and I called a total of 40 times never getting an answer more than four times. No one would return our call and No one had any info at all. The phone rings and rings. Then if someone did pick up they hung up on us. This is ridiculous and they are completely inept and incapable of running a business. I will never shop here again. What a sorry excuse for a store. I don't know how they have stayed open this long. Must be why most of the reviews for this store are so low. These people are clueless and you will regret it if you shop here. My entire weekend wasted waiting on these idiots but never again. You can't find any employees in this store and it's like they don't schedule anybody for the evening crew. You'll think that a large store would have some employees walk the store to see if anyone needed help with anything. Came in to return some blinds and the one cashier for what ever reason choose to help another customer on the other side of the counter even though we were next in line. It's like she didn't pay us no mind. On the sales floor, the employee Stefanie cut up some blinds since the ones we return were to short and she did it in a courtesy and professional attitude. It's a shame that good employees gotta work harder to make up for the lazy ones. Heading to check out, I found out that Stefanie is the manager of that department when I voice my compliment to the store manager. We just recently bought a Whirlpool fridge, it was delivered in July. Worked about 3 weeks before it quit making ice. We had it repaired with the warranty and it worked for 1 day. We set the freezer to the coldest setting and it was 35. The fridge on the coldest setting would be in the 20s, but if bumped to the next coldest between 40-50. We reached out to the executive office of Whirlpool which authorized a return for replacement. We talked with Fred and Fiona at Trussville and they were absolutely great. This review isn't about them. We bought a new fridge and we're told it would be delivered on 9/11/23. They attempted delivery on 9/10/23 while we were not home because we were told it would be delivered on Monday. Here it is 9/11 and they never showed up. This isn't the first time we've had issues with services from Lowes when it comes to contractors delivering and installing items purchased. read more

A few months back I purchased all of my appliances from Lowe's. I was never told they were using a third party to deliver. My door ways were scratched and a wooden threshold was broken. I had been in my newly built home for 2 hours. I called many times with no return calls from Lowe's. I went to the store and the assistant manager assured me they would make good the damage. I received a call from the third party telling me he could not do carpentry and it would come out of his pocket, he said God Bless and hung up. I went back to the store and a seemingly good employee said she and the manager of shipping would definitely help me since their management cared nothing about customers. I sent the pictures and detailed problems to the emails she gave me,twice with no response. I then wrote to corporate with no response. I cautioned my new neighbor about Lowe's, she went ahead and bought from Lowe's only to have her house damaged. Saturday, May 14, 2022, I needed some garden lime for my pink hydrangeas. I placed an order online for in store pick-up at this location. I didn't have time to go and pick it up as soon as it was ready, so I called this location to change the pick up time to Sunday morning. The phone rang CONTIUOUSLY, as NO ONE ANSWERED-- that is until someone picked up and promptly HUNG UP in my face-- 15+ minutes later!! I called back again. No answer. So I left the phone ringing, drove to the location and walked into the store, ringing phone in hand (total ring time 60+ minutes). I asked for the MOD (mgr on duty). As soon as the associate called for one, my phone hung up!! 10 to 15 minutes later the MOD finally showed. I got my order. The store manager's extension. The assistant store manager's phone number. The corporate Lowe's number. Can I tell you? The extension did not work. I called the assistant store manager's number, he answered. He assured me the store manager would return my call. NOPE. Didn't happen. I called the corporate number. Same stupid voice and spiel. NO ONE AVAILABLE for 15 minutes it said!!! Website? NO PLACE or PHONE NUMBER to contact Customer Service directly. SERIOUSLY?!?! THIS is how we run a successful business?!?! I don't think so. And HOW LONG HAS THIS PROBLEM EXISTED??? No one cares. No one pays attention. I order $1,100.00 in flooring that was suppose to be delivered on January 1st, that day came and went. I called multiple times and I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone at the store I ordered it at"trussville" so I found a 1-800 number and called it, they rescheduled the delivery, that day came and went, this happened 2 more times, today I called the 1-800 number again, because again, you can never get anyone to answer the phone and if they do, they are completely clueless and can't or won't help you, but I call and ask for a refund today and after being on hold for 30 minutes I was finally told I would get a refund eventually. This is the 3rd problem i have had with them at 3 locations, and i know its my fault for returning, when i obviously know better, shame on me, but jeeez, This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had when making a large purchase. Just because no one wants to do their job. It's a very sad world we are in. People get paid to do absolutely nothing. I will not be shopping here again. Should be ZERO Stars. Do not go to Lowes in Trussville if you need a Stove in the near future. We ordered a Stove on Nov 11th 2018 and was told delivery on Nov 17th, then nothing and no one called to set up delivery. We had to call and find out that no one ever ordered the stove after we had already paid for it. Was told it would be a another week but never heard a word from them, We called and was told the 27th so that meant no Thanksgiving dinner for us since no stove. Well that day came and went and they have changed the date every week. They offered to upgrade and not charge us the difference in price so they could get it to us sooner so we would have it before Christmas so we could have a Christmas Dinner but that date came and went and still no stove. We called today because it was supposed to be in on the 30th and they have changed the date again to Jan 6th 2019. It is totally ridiculous! read more

such a lack of service and professionalism. I used Lowes for everything. Three weeks ago I went to Lowes on a Sunday and ordered a dryer. The sales person glanced at the item number and charged me. On Wed. the delivery team delivered a washing machine with installation pieces for a dryer. I called the manager and was on the phone with Ryan/ Bryan for 45 min. He couldn't find the charge. He said he would call back. He didn't. I went to Lowes on Thursday and had the charge removed and Kaitlin in appliances charged me for the dryer and assured me all the correct required items were included AND she would have the delivery happen the next day, Friday. ON SUNDAY, our dryer was delivered without an electrical cord or the required hose. What Lowe's did send was a Fill Hose that goes to a washing machine! I called Lowes and talked with a manager who said he would call me back. he didn't. I went to Lowes and talked with the sales person who had originally charged me for a washing machine and after explaining the problem, she laughed and said I needed to find a manager! I talked with Manager Ryan/Bryan who assured me , after I bought the correct cords and hoses, he would immediately put the delivery information in the computer and the delivery would happen the next day, Monday. I told him to call me or text as soon as he did that so I would be assured it would happen. He said he would. He didn't. I never again heard from anyone from Lowe's. No apology, no phone call, no delivery/installation person, NOTHING! My daughter's boyfriend goggled how to hook up the electrical cord and hose and fixed it. I paid for installation and did not get it but I do not ever again want to deal with Lowe's so I will just take the loss! Beware if you are buying an appliance from Lowe's. Out of all the Lowe's that I have ever shopped at this has to be the worst store in the company. The staff at the customer"less" service counter has never done anything but gone out of their way to make things harder than they have to be. I went in today and purchased a boot for my ac unit. The label was missing and had no info marked on it at all. After several minutes I was able to find someone to help me locate one that had the info on it so I took that one. Made my purchase and left. Upon getting home I realized that I have the wrong style and went back to swap it for the correct one. I had the receipt in hand and explained what was going to the lady working the returns. She told me to go get the one that I needed and bring it back up. I did this only to realize that my wallet was at home but like I said I had the receipt for thirty minutes ago. They refused to complete the transaction. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me he only person that I could speak with was security or he local police. I asked why and she said that she believed that I had found the receipt and was trying to steal the merchandise. Again all I wanted to do was to make an even swap. When I picked up my original purchase she told me that I needed to put it back down or she would call the police. Needless to say again I asked to speak to a manager and she told me this time that she was the only manager on duty and if I didn't leave the store she would call the police and have me removed. I pre-ordered some pavers for my backyard and sand to hold them in place. I only have a 1500 truck so wanted to make 2 trips to get all the pavers. Instead of having to refund the second half and repurchase, they worked with us and wrote how many we picked up and how many we had left to get on our receipt ticket. When I sent my boyfriend back for the 2nd half, the forklift driver there at 3:30pm on Sunday, May 15th (Mother's day), drove the second half up on the pallet just like the nice young man had done previously but the jerk, turned off the forklift and walked away after lifting the pallet to the height of the back of the truck so my boyfriend and a young worker unloaded that 1/2 onto the first now empty pallet already in place in the truck. So, Lowe's may be better priced but gets a big fat F for customer service on their older forklift driver. I wish I had gotten his name! Some of the rudest, most incompetent people work at this store. I came in yesterday to pick up an order I had placed online. I stood at the pickup counter for a good five minutes before anyone came over to me, even though there were four associates behind the counter and only two people in the return line. When a woman (Leah, whose badge says she was a telephone operator) came over and tried to look up my order, I had to give her my phone number about eight times before she got it right. Every time I asked her a question about my order, she would stare at me with a confused face, laugh, and then say she didn't know the answer. Every. Damn. Time. I also purchased a protection plan for one of my items and had to ask two or three times for the paperwork. When I finally got the brochure, it was because another associate came over and helped while Leah gaped at me with her cigarette stained teeth. I then went over to another counter bc I also needed to purchase a gift card. The associate checking me out rudely asked if it was a late Father's Day gift (it was actually for my dad's bday). Meanwhile, she took so long to ring up a simple gift card that the man behind me in line was literally standing an inch behind me as I reached for my receipt. I spent over $700 at this lowe's for my dad's birthday this year. Next year, I'll be going to Home Depot. read more
