Was in the area and needed some home improvement supplies so I stopped in to see if Lowe's could help me check a few things off my to-do list. Years ago when I lived up here there really were no choices for these types of stores, it was either 84 Lumber or Ace Hardware. And not that there's anything wrong with those places but I'm just trying to point out that it's good to have a big box type store up here nowadays.   Anyway long story short I grabbed up everything that was needed plus a whole lot more and thanks to some friendly Store Associates I was able to get in and out pretty quickly so no complaints to report from me. I stopped in to purchase one thing and wound up with 2 employees in the garden center berating me & they blocked my vehicle with a Lowes vehicle so I could not get into my drivers door. Called the store and they're not doing anything about the situation. I would not shot this store unless you want to be intimidated and berated by LOWES Employees. read more

I looked for someone in the lights dept. No one could be found. I asked another associate and they paged someone. I just waited and no one ever came. The guy who paged the person didn't care if they came or not. A lot of associates walking around but can't help. Too busy stocking, and other cleaning. I went to Stroudsburg PA store #2252 where I intended to use my stimulus check to purchase a gas grill and playground/ jungle gym. I walked out of the store and bought nothing because the majority of the staff wasn't wearing a mask. Worst Customer Service in the Appliance Department. Wouldn't do an even exchange on a machine that was broken when it was installed by their installation techs and I had to pay for a second machine in order to get another machine to my house. Once the 2nd machine got to the house, I have to wait another 4 days for installation and still don't have my money back from the first machine. When I spoke with the store manager he said there was nothing he could do and when I was explaining how frustrated I was that I have paid for two machines and its been almost a month and still don't have a working machine installed and have two machines sitting in my kitchen, he hung up on me.... This is the second time they hung up the phone on me.... I do not recommend using their appliance department. read more

Not gonna lie... I came in here with very, very low hopes of getting decent service. The Easton store which is the closest to me is a complete trainwreck as far as service goes. I had to come to this Lowe's because I had an item I needed that the other store was out of. To my suprise... everyone was super, super helpful, courteous, friendly and willing to help. The gentleman in plumbing in the evening of 7/29/2019... Evan maybe? He should seriously be commended for going above and beyond to help me try to remedy an issue with my pool setup. I have zero doubts the employees from the Easton store would have completely blew me off. I really wish Lowe's would do something about the incredibly bad service at the Easton store. So check this out... I ordered a grill from Lowe's on June 11th. Was told it was being shipped out of the Hackettstown store and would arrive July 3rd. Being patient I waited. Well guess what ... no grill. I call which was hours on the phone to find out they ran out if the grill. Said they sent an email yet I have all my emails from Loews from the confirmation of the order up til now and no email is there saying it was cancelled. Ordered a fridge and dryer from Lowes because they had decent prices, along with delivery of flexible duct and dryer cord and haul away fee. I did not end up getting the dryer hauled so needed the refund on that service. They never delivered the flexible duct or dryer cord but they certainly charged my credit card and Lowes assumed the delivery guys delivered these items to me. I contacted Lowes over the last month to try to obtain a refund but other lowes store said that I would have to contact Bartonsville Lowes because purchase was made there. That is absurd. Lowes is a big name store with so many branches yet I have to go to the one Lowes store in order to get a refund. I tried contacting Bartonsville Lowes several times over the phone, was hung up on more time than my fingers can count. When I finally got an associate, they said within 5 business days I would see the refund on my credit card. Well, it's been 5 business days. No Refund issued. Save yourself the stress. Do not buy appliances at Lowes. Not worth this stress and aggravation. Plus the delivery guys did not want to install the items even though we paid for install. Mainly upset with XPO but Lowe's shouldn't use garbage delivery companies...... Scheduled delivery with XPO for zero turn mower from Lowe's. Delivery Window was set from 11am-3pm. Went to work late that day (second shift) hoping it would arrive in the first half of the window. I did not receive a call, had to leave for work. Arrive at work, where cell service is spotty at best. Call XPO to tell them to inform the driver to call my wife instead. XPO informs me delivery is post-poned they know nothing contact Lowe's. Call Lowe's, they still have us scheduled for delivery during the original window, I'm forwarded to 'delivery lady' who's phone rings for 2 legitimate minutes and apparently doesn't have a voicemail. Go into work; so I handover the this cluster to my wife to sort out. Lowe's speaks with my wife and tells her "it will be at our home today but don't know when" Arrive home from work, delivery guy calls says he's 40 minutes out. Arrives at that time (7pm), he is polite unloads mower and is on his way. Summary: XPO: such a big leader in transport and delivery, maybe get your 'stuff' together. What is the point of the delivery window if it's not anywhere near it and your automated system is infuriating at best. If I hadn't called I would've had no idea. Lowe's: delivery your own 'stuff' stop outsourcing overloaded delivery companies that could care less about your customers. Always had a good report with the store, this delivery fiasco almost ended my business relationship. read more

i purchased an LG range from this store and bought the 3 year extended warranty. After 3 different technicians came out to try to fix the issue with the motherboard, and even replaced parts, the last technicians that Assurant (the warranty coverage company) sent out came wreaking of weed and acting stoned. They couldn't even open the range and couldn't determine the problem, so they said it couldn't be fixed, and I'd get a replacement. After 2 weeks with no follow up, I called and had them escalate the issue, because the technicians never filed the report. Then i got an email from Assurant saying that they wouldn't cover the replacement, because the technicians found an infestation (??!!) and they had the service date wrong on the report. I'm at a loss and can't believe this customer service. All i want is a range that works, since i bought the warranty! The worst warranty coverage, and it FRAUD! read more

We were in dire need of washer because ours died in the middle of this covid virus pandemic. Both of us are essential workers, Im a nurse, and he supplies road departments with stones etc. So clearly, we have the need to clean our clothes...well. We went on May 1st and ordered it. Chose the 1 we did, because it was sitting in a warehouse in PA...as opposed to somewhere in China. Was told to call that Tuesday, and it wd be in the store the next day. Fast forward to the NEXT day being told that our delivery was "pushed back" to the 10th. Called the 10th...nothing. Called today, only to be told its not in, and they will connect me to appliances...to have my call get a busy signal twice! Finally went to store, to be told that they have 4 in stock but 1 is in scratch and dent for lower price. Now why!!!! For the love of Pete, was this never said to us? End result, we got a scratched up version of what we wanted, but we'll have clean clothes...btw, the manual that came with it??? For a dryer!!!!! read more

We ordered carpet and weren't there to monitor. We came up for the weekend and found that the stairs were done which wasn't part of the order so no big deal but we paid for it. Then the floor carpet was put in two pieces and two different shades. Not happy and they only took off 10% for both mistakes. There were no issues when we did another floor with carpet. This Lowe's above all others is amazing! The staff is knowledgeable and curtious, always. When my husband had an issue with a purchased washing machine, the staff was professional in every aspect, never once becoming impatient with us or begrudging the returned item. (My husband managed to successfully repair my old washer,so the new one wasn't necessary any longer) I will continue to shop at this Lowe's and encourage everyone out there to do so as well! Lousy, lousy return policy. I bought tens of thousands of dollars worth of materials from them. They would not take back 5 extea boxes of hardwood flooring because their Covid-19 return policy had expired, yet the Covid-19 policy was in effect when I bought the flooring and would have been within the return period if it was still in effect. Phenomenal in store customer service. Unbelievably terrible delivery service. I ordered an appliance .... a brand new functional appliance. After 3 failed deliveries ( they tried to give me a damaged appliance). What I received was perfectly good appliance that was promptly damaged by the delivery people. My husband & I were browsing our local Lowe's in the Lehigh Valley and found the perfect laminate bookcases for our home: the right look and 60% off. Huzzah! But, alas, they were out of stock so they sent us to the Stroudsburg store (25 miles away) to pick a few up. 30 minutes later, we were in the Stroudsburg store. It's a very convenient stop off of 33...it basically dead ends right into the shopping center. The store is laid out a bit differently that the one in Easton but we found the bookcases fairly quickly. However, they were marked at full price. We found an associate, Lisa, in the drapery area for some assistance. She found that their system still had them marked at full price but called the Easton store to see what the issue was. Lisa found out that they had only marked down the floor model but that the Easton staff hadn't told us that. No worries...Lisa got her manager to approve a very generous price override (matching the Easton store's floor model price). We made our way to the check out counter & the cashier had no issues making the markdown (just a simple managerial override) and offered us assistance in loading them into our car. This was the best Lowe's transaction that I've ever had. Everyone we interacted with was top notch. read more

I visited this location on a Saturday about 3pm. I was very impressed with the size of the indoor plant department and selection. Plants were well watered and in good condition. I purchased more than intended. Area was clean and well stocked. I was also browsing the plumbing department. Employee asked if I needed help and guided me to the area and helped me until I found everything I needed. Very good visit. Never buy outdoor power equipment here. They put my snow thrower together it was missing parts and shoot didn't work. Dealer charged me $180 to fix it after it ran 10 min. We visited the Bartonsville location Monday evening, January 13th. We were on the hunt for a good deal on a dryer since the one we purchased on January 2nd at a sears stopped working. We were frustrated shoppers at first due to our returning process at sears. We left there and stopped at best buy... no luck, then up the road to home depot... possible option. I said one more stop and that's it. Up the road a bit more and the last stop... Lowe's! We walked in and were greeted upon entry. Back to appliances, on a mission, to the dryers we headed. Looked for less than a minute and we were greeted by Dawn. She asked if we needed help and we told her we needed a dryer, possible close out if available. She brought us right to them and was so nice. She was a joy and cheered us right up! She new her stuff and was very helpful. We got a great dryer at an awesome price, the accessories needed, full warranty and she stayed with us the whole time. She even shrink wrapped it up for us! I had to write a review because of Dawn. She displayed excellent customer service skills. After an evening of less than par service by the competitors, I was blown away by the experience. She went above and beyond and I would buy any appliance from her. Now I know where to buy my next one! Not unusual for a Lowes store but the associates there find ways to avoid helping you. We wanted to buy a storm door but the assistant finished with a customer and said there were two other customers he needed to help. So then he disappeared for 20 minutes and then said on his return he still had to help the two other customers. So we went to Home Depot where we found help right away. I also ordered some metal roofing from the Pro desk with a contractor. When it arrived it was cut too short but there was twice as much roofing as I had ordered. I do manage to buy things from Lowes as it is the nearest store to me but getting help in the store and especially competent help is impossible. A management issue I think. I just moved to Pa and the Stroudsburg land this Loews is the closest to my home. I had traveled to Lehigh Valley and found. What I was looking for but was told that the patio sets I wanted couldn't be delivered from Lehigh, but that the Stroudsburg location had several. When I arrived at Stroudsburg Loews, the patio set was at full price but the Manager Tom priced matched the it and reduced the price. He noticed that my husband liked another patio set and offered it at a superb discount ( floor model). We were so pleased we purchased both sets. What we purchased didn't fit in our car, but no worries...Tom arranged it to be delivered promptly the next day. Worst experience ever! Spent hours trying to take advantage of the Appliance Black Friday/Rebate Program. We attempted to purchase a refrigerator, dish washer and electric range. We could not find a matching suit, going back and forth with the store warehouse...we specifically were interested in LG, GE or Samsung. After all is said and done we went over budget purchased Samsung to get 3 appliance that matched our needs, note there was only 1 person on the floor who answered the phone and questions from other customers why we waited. Set delivery for the following Sunday. We received the first text from XPO (delivery service) that delivery would happen 4 -8 on Sunday with a txt 15 minutes before arrival. The next txt came with a new delivery time of 3 -7. At about 6pm we received a txt saying the appliances were delivered and to do a survey. No appliances were received. Placed a call to XPO who told us we were the next stop. We rushed to remove the food from the ref/freezer, disconnect the water, stove & DW. I asked XPO to have the driver call us. At 7:10 we received a robo call stating deliver at 8 - 12 on Monday. I called XPO back, remained on hold for 16 minutes to be told the store changed the delivery date. I called the store attempted to explain our situation, he had no idea what to do, put me on hold and finally hung up on me. Called back asked to speak to a manager and was told everyone left he would have the manager call me first thing in the am to help us. No call was ever received. I will never shop there again terrible experience. read more

I am very disappointed with the Stoudsburg, PA and their on line contact department. After two months of phone calls and trips to the store, I am unable to able to order a high end replacement front door. I do not have a complete estimate of parts and labor. No teamwork. Lowe's in general is a good place and I will continue doing business with them, but I will not do any installation work with the Stroudsburg branch. I hired them over five months ago to install tile floors throughout my vacation home. The company they selected to do the installation actually is a company that manages installs and subcontract individual contractors to do the work. When the contractor this company hired ended up being unreliable, they were extremely slow in remedying the problem. To date only half the work is done. Several complaints to Lowe's and the company has not improved the reliability of this company. I expected the work to be done in two weeks. They sent one man to install approximately 1100 square feet of tile in a weekend. Needless to say he could not. After several attempts to work with this contractor I asked for a new contractor. Although the new guy is good they often overbook him, making it hard for us to coordinate times for him to finish the job. Lowes has since provided me discount on some of the additional supplies needed to finish the installation. (The first contractor did not do a good job of estimating what was needed for the job). My advice ask who Lowes will hire to do the install and do your due diligence before signing the contract. Usually they have more than one provider but they were reluctant to switch since the job was already paid for in advance (as is usually the case with Lowes installs). read more

This major home improvement chain is convienent as its directly off of rt 611 and rt 80 and highly visible however everything else is wrong with this place. The store is well understaff if not consistantly staffed, some of the workers don't have s clue as to what they are doing and highly not focused, and the place is a mess and totally disorganized. I can never find what I want. Every time I came there to shop, I had an issue, mainly with the unfriendly associates who rather avoid me than to help me find a product that this place seems to never have. the managers are not any better as they didn't seem to care about my problem. I have had the same bad experience over at the Home Depot down the road. I personally live a mile away from Bartinsville and I will rather drive all the way to Clearfield PA Lowes near my grandmother to shop then to deal with this place. read more

Very poor business practice. Job seekers beware especially for management positions. I have wasted a lot of time on interviews in this store with store manager Wayne. He made it out like I had the job multiple times but never called back. A couple of months later he called me in again and I told him not to waste my time I am very busy. I am also a store manager so I know how it works. He said no I am very interested come in and we will talk so I said ok. I went down there now for the fifth time and he once again acted like I had the position but never called back. I called him back but they would just play games and avoid me. So long story short beware of any potential job opportunities for lowes especially the one in Bartonsville PA with store manager Wayne. They play games like this just to interview but they will tell you there is an open position when there isn't. I work for a competitor and I will never send any of my customers to these people anymore . I will never make that same mistake again and hopefully other people don't either. read more
