There's a lot of stock, and a lot of discounts to be had. The staff are awesome. Whenever you go in the store, it's more than likely that you will see the guys dancing around, singing to the music and just chatting to one another loud enough for the customers to hear. You feel pretty chilled when you're inside and browsing the clothes. This store gets two thumbs up from me for their service and stock.

Dangerfield has been one of my go-to places for casual fashion since it opened. They have a great…read moreline of stuff for both men and women, and their range varies between cheaper, casual looks and more dressy outfits that come at a higher price. Though it was evidently directed towards alternative fashion when it first opened up shop in Adelaide, it has now adopted a more mainstream approach, and their items will cater to almost anybody. The great thing about Dangerfield is you don't have to worry about shelling out a fortune. I've come in on a whim with nothing more than a twenty dollar note, and left with some pretty cool gear such as T-shirts, belts, jewellery and the like. Aside from their T-shirts being either very quirky or visually appealing, they have a great selection of button-down shirts, vests, ties, and overcoats. I've still got a winter coat I bought from them about five years ago, and it hasn't deteriorated a single bit. They also have a great accessories range, and if you're looking for bags, hats, belts or jewellery with a bit of edge, then you should have no problem finding it here. The staff is also very helpful and pleasant to chat to, and they won't make you feel like you're shopping in the wrong place.

Michael is a brilliant man, he will never utter those words to you, and he knows his stuff, like he KNOWS his stuff. The measuring tape and pins are out before you can spin in the mirror. Anything to do with the fabric to the right shoes or ties and pocket squares to match, or if the groom is going for a bespoke custom, he can arrange for a slightly less expensive, complementing option for your groomsman and dad. They stock casual tops, jeans, accessories like ties, casual shirts plus dress shirts and even full suits. In fact some of their suits are rather amazing for the prices they are asking. You can get a whole suit for around $100. I don't see much point in paying more unless you wear one everyday for work or something. These ones do my family just fine on the occasions we have required their services. Ed Harry are fine for casual stuff at great prices but Man To Man are great for smart casual and above at equally great prices. Check 'em out before your next formal event. You could save quite a bit.

Overall the store is pretty tidy and it's not too hard to find clothes, but when you get to the t-shirts on the tables it does get a bit hard to find what you're after. To be honest it's easier to pick out what you'd like to try on and then get the staff to find the right size for you, otherwise you could end up with t-shirts falling all over the place.

It looks classy, fresh and modern. It is spacious and the clothes are spread out, making them easier to look at. There is also a massive mirror along the back wall. I have purchased a few shirts for family and friends from there, but I wouldn't go racing back again. It is all slightly over-priced, but you are paying for the brand. The clothes are different and a nice change from the mass-produced shirts other male clothes shop sell. I do love their shoes, also expensive, but if I was a guy I would of bought many of them by now. The service is nothing to rave about, no one jumps up to greet you when you enter the shop, but they do yell hello from the other side of the room. I don't know if it's just me, but customer service never seems to be great in any of the new 'hip' retail shops around.

I am of a more industrial strength build than your regular runway model, and I was glad that not all their range is "slim fit" as many other brands seem to be these days. The sales guy explained that as it was a New Zealand and Australian brand, they catered for our body shapes. This is great for me, as their clothes are well made and classically cut ensuring that they will last more than just one season. My shopping experience was made all the better as the staff were cooperative (none of this not helping each other because they are worried about who will get the commission) and they knew the stock in their store well, and also were able to see what other stores had if they didn't have exactly what I wanted. They seem genuinely friendly, and this means that I will now make this store a regular haunt.

After some head scratching and googling, I discover that this shop is the Sydney Street Boutique, as opposed to the Sydney Street Casual store. These are the only two stores in Australia, and you can see one from the other. This store has all the colour that the other lacks. No pastels here, there are lots of bold prints, floral patterns and sparkly tops. Most of the styles are still casual, but they're less that upper-class-retiree-golfer style and more the funky-mum look. The prices are much the same in both, and this shop doesn't do those famous jeans. There is plenty of more formal wear here also that I can see my mother wearing out to dinner. I do however appreciate the concept of two stores for two different styles and vibes. This store is smaller and more heavily stocked, while the other is spacious and less cluttered, arrangements which cleverly match the clothing styles.
