My wife and I just closed on our first home, and got our mortgage through Neil and his team…read more We were beyond impressed with Community First Mortgage, and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a mortgage broker. Neil walked us through every step of the process and was incredibly responsive. As first-time homebuyers, there were lots of things we didn't understand and Neil took the time to explain things clearly. We felt confident we were getting the best rates, and had the best team working hard for us. For reference - it took us FOUR days to get our loan "cleared to close" from the day our offer was accepted. We had a 14-day escrow period, and our loan was ready to close well in advance. That was an incredible feat by the Community First Mortgage team, and took a ton of pressure off of us with such an aggressive escrow timeline. Lastly, Neil also recommended our real estate agent, who was another incredible addition to our team. The folks at Community First Mortgage have a five star rating for a reason, we could not have been happier with the service we received and look forward to working with them next time we are in need of mortgage brokerage services.

We just finished my first cash-out…read morerefinance at a fast speed and Justin just gained a lifetime client as I will be coming to him again for my future lending needs! He worked incredibly fast, had the best rate, communicated very clearly, had great manners, advocated for me, and made it easy-breezy. I'm self-employed with complicated income situation. Before going with Justin, I was shopping with 10 different brokers (yes, TEN, I'm not being hyperbolic). The rate and terms he got me was so ridiculously competitive that his competition laughed when I told them, until they realized I wasn't bluffing. Not only were his competitors unable to beat it, but more importantly, they couldn't provide the speed, the smooth process, and advocacy Justin could, which matters a lot in time-sensitive loans. Most brokers feel like they work for the lenders "this is what the lender has and requires", Justin actually feels like he works for my benefit. During the process, Justin had everything scheduled and covered with a clear timeline, I barely had to lift a finger unless it is something only I can do. Justin also had great connections that sped up the appraisal and other steps in the loan process. He even advocated for me and got me extra benefits and more favorable loan terms.

We had gotten quotes from two other lenders and Rob beat them by so much, we even took a credit on the mortgage rate. And the funny thing is, one of the other lenders was the same company whom which Rob actually secured our great rate with. A true testament that his relationships and knowledge with lenders will get you the best rate. Also, don't buy into the big mortgage lender talking points. Once we notified them we were going with another lender, it was like dealing with a desperate ex! Calls, pleading, and getting managers to call us... and they'd never put their quotes down in emails. Rob gives you all the information and is happy to put it all down in writing. We had an insanely short escrow request of 27 days but the Sherwood Mortgage team managed to get it all done smoothly. 5 stars!
