This hidden neighborhood park takes a little perseverance to explore but it's worth it! There is a tiny dirt parking area and a field with no sign of trails. So, I just started wandering. I wanted to see the Chattahoochee River!
I found a double set of railroad tracks after walking through a field to the left. So, I crossed the tracks and followed a bit of a path. It turned out to lead to the river! Success!
Then, I found more paths that go along the river to the left and right! I took both and I think I walked on every path there is. Take the road less traveled! It was an amazing exploration with birds, bunnies, flowers, Canadian geese and ducks! Nobody else was there on a Sunday morning... just me and nature's wonders!
I walked a few miles and totally enjoyed the scenery and critters. I even saw a huge beaver sized brown critter swimming in the river but it didn't seem to have a large flat tail. I have no idea what it was! Later, I did research and concluded it must have been a river otter! Very lucky sighting!
Thank you to whomever cleared all these trails!
