    Duck Food!
    Moira B.

Nice park, very clean, has a small dog park as well. You can even feed the ducks! I will agree that parking was tricky, but we just parked in one of the apartment building parking lots without issue.

I would love this park, however, the parking here is a huge issue. THERE IS NONE! There are a lot of businesses and apartment complexes nearby by I'm not running the risk of getting booted/ticketed. Going to look for something more accessible

Picnic under shade- overlooking fountain and lake.

I recommend this park- it's extremely relaxed and a lot less crowded than the Beltline. There is a parking garage (free parking!) right next to the lake, making driving to the park easy. Me and my boyfriend wanted to picnic somewhere close to the mall and saw this place. Found a place in the shade, packed fruit and sandwiches, and it was a great afternoon out.

Place to recharge yourself - good place for a quick recharging walk! Lots of renovations in the process - so, expect construction sites here and there

Cute park!! My coworker told me about this park. We were talking about trips to UK and she told me about Lenox Park. She used to live in the apartments across the street from it. This park has the well known red telephone booth. Lenox Park is located behind the AT&T building. It's a small but gorgeous park with two bridges, a red phone booth, lake, lots of ducks/geese, dog park, stairs, a big clock too (I forgot to take pics of it). I have no idea on the distance but probably just a mile or a little over. Beautiful place to take photos. Saw people running, walking their dog, sitting and enjoying the view. The fountain came on around 9 am because when we got there, it wasn't on. Definitely will come back. 37/2018

One of my favorite parks in Atlanta. Perfectly hidden and tucked away in the middle of Buckhead. If you haven't lived in the area you would have no idea it exists. There is security throughout each day, walking around and sometimes patrolling in small white trucks. The park's visitors are all friendly. Definitely dog friendly, sporting a lovely gated dog park (currently under construction. I will update upon completion). Well manicured with two fountains. There are many ducks and usually one crane present at all times. Highly recommended. Not sure on parking. But aside from that, typical and beautiful. Not heavily populated either.

Lenox Park is quite a bit smaller than the likes of Piedmont and Chastain, but it's just as nice! It lays hidden amid condos and corporate offices, and it may be a bit of a secret if you're new to town, but us natives know it well. It's fairly populated during the day - especially weekends - there are families having picnics, couples on dates, dog walkers (there is a dog park, but it's for apartment residents only) joggers/runners (there's a sizeable trail that runs the entire perimeter of the pond), and I've seen more than a few wedding day photo shoots take place. It's most prominent (and dominant) feature is one very large pond, which is home to a nice army of ducks and geese - whom seemingly reside here all year long, and every spring there's a new, adorable flock of ducklings. If you can bring a loaf of bread - or even some stale, old bread (they;'ll eat it all), feeding the ducks - though it may seem mundane - is actually kind of entertaining, at least for me. The interesting or infamous feature of Lenox Park is their "British" phoneless phone booth - it sort of resembles a red Tardis. Was there ever a phone? I think so, I can't really remember, though I've been coming to this park since I was child...Why do they keep a non-functioning phone booth on the grounds? It's pretty. Duh. Fair warning though, don't go inside. It stinks. And there are hornets' nests. Take pictures of it instead, from the outside. If it's a sunny day, just head on over to Lenox!

Perfect spot for a date picnic or photo

Lenox Park is a well kept secret in Buckhead. I discovered this park as a peaceful place to walk when I am stressed at work. It is located behind the AT&T Lenox Park building and it is gorgeous. This park is very quiet and is not overcrowded like Piedmont Park. You will rarely see too many people in the park at one time. This is a perfect place for pets since they have a Dog Park located inside which is the only place you can allow your pets to not be on a leash. I also like that they have wire on the bottom portion of the gates so small dogs cannot get out. In addition to the dogs, there are plenty of ducks for everyone to feed. There are adorable especially when their babies hatch and there are machines that give you food to feed them. The ducks/geese are nice and I see a ton of children feeding them with no issues. The park has different trails that you can run or walk on. This park isn't big so the trails are not long at all. There are also steps that lead you to some of the different surrounding apartment buildings as well. For those wanting to teach classes outside such as yoga or bootcamp style there is a rule that prohibits you from teaching large classes. All the Pokémon Go players out there this park contains a gym and a few Pokéstops. The most consistent Pokémon you will find here are Psyduck, Magikarp, Slowpoke, Pidget, Spearow, and Rattata. A few dratini pop up form time to time as well. If you are looking to take engagement, baby announcement, kids party, or wedding photos this is your spot. I see tons of people doing photoshoots every week here. There are two fountains and two bridges were most people shoot. This is also a great date spot if you would like to have a picnic outside or just lay down and read.

Such a pretty little bridge at twilight.

I almost don't want to write this review, but to deprive the world of such a gem would be selfish. This park is a well-kept secret, hidden back behind the AT&T complex buildings and really only accessible by walking. Many park in the AT&T lots on the weekends, but I'm not sure that you're really supposed to do so. Lenox Park is on the smaller side, with a double walking track (one loop is .85 miles while the other is about a mile and a half), a beautiful duck pond, a fenced dog park, benches, and plenty of well-kept grass. I love that amongst the skyscrapers and large apartment complexes of Buckhead, this exists. As I'm sure many have, I simply stumbled upon it and have, ever since, been a regular. It's a fantastic picnic spot on the weekends and never too crowded- hopefully it stays this way (seriously... I kind of want to give it a terrible review just so people don't discover my beloved escape.) They are strict about their hours, though, and they have security cameras, so heed the posted hours.

I work right by the park. It s a great treat to be able to walk around the park for a break on a high stress day. I like ducks. What can I say????

    Phone booth by the pond.

This is a little hidden gem of a park that I absolutely love going to when I have down time between work or when I want to get away from my apartment. Once you figure out the area you'll find the best way to park if you don't live in any of the apartments surrounding it or work at AT&T. It's fairly easy to get to once you figure that out. But when you do it's a beauty. The lake and water shower is beautiful and there's a creek right next to it with a tiny waterfall. There's a cool London style phone booth in the area that's fun to take pictures with although it isn't the cleanest. I've had picnics and photo shoots here so it's a perfect little retreat within the city. I think it's great that they have the food dispenser for the ducks and other birds that live here because it not only helps with maintaining the park but it keeps folks from feeding the ducks things that may make them sick. There are also waste bags for the four legged friends of the park. Lots of trails running through it for joggers and little romantic strolls.

Prior to the games, it was a mid-to-largish Southern city without much distinction.* After the games, it turned into the crowded af bastion of Southern pop culture. Atlanta's history is divided in pre- and post- games. That's why I thought that a trip here would be akin to Central, Golden Gate or Lincoln. Nope. It had some nice intentional design. Pavers. Statues. Fun water features. The Ferris wheel. The rings (the water fountain wasn't working during my visit). But... I don't know. Like I inferred above, it fell flat. Glad I saw it but I expected more. It's smaller than you imagine. Oh, and all the bathrooms were closed/locked on a Wednesday afternoon in mid-spring. If traveling from…read moredowntown on I-20 eastbound, Glenwood Park is just off exit 59B (Memorial Drive, Glenwood Avenue). If traveling westboard towards downtown, take exit 60 (US 23, Moreland Avenue). This low key neighborhood, sandwiched between Grant Park and East Atlanta Village, is sort of "hidden." I think if you asked the average metro Atlantan if they've heard of Glenwood Park, they'd probably say no. Glenwood Park opened the same year as Midtown's Atlantic Station. Like Atlantic Station, Glenwood Park is all about urban and sustainable living. Unlike Atlantic Station, Glenwood Park isn't big. It's relatively small at just under 30 acres in total size. It's a lot quieter and isn't as commercialized. The property feels more residential than anything with quiet streets and wide sidewalks with nicely manicured lawns. After about a decade of existence, the development still looks great. There's a park/greenspace with a picturesque pond and a beautiful fountain. The community collects almost two-million gallons of its own well water per year in order to irrigate the park and street trees. There's a community garden where residents can reserve plots filled with high quality, organic soil. There's a dog park, playground, and neighborhood pool. One courtyard features a little stone fountain and full-sized bocce ball court. The layout was designed with pedestrians in mind, though there's plenty of free street parking and parking lots located on the development. It's clean and feels safe. The Atlanta BeltLine runs through the neighborhood in a north-south line. Food-lovers probably know Glenwood Park because of its restaurants, Gunshow, The Shed at Glenwood, and Vickery's Bar & Grill. Local celebrity chef Kevin Gillespie opened Gunshow in 2013 with fellow chefs Andreas Muller and Joey Ward. It may very well be *the* best restaurant in Atlanta. It's certainly one of the most fun and unique with it's American-style dim sum. You can read my review of Gunshow here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/gunshow-atlanta-2?hrid=_Zvxkqv86FBPQtUBysU21Q. The Shed at Glenwood is a modern farm-to-table restaurant with seasonal fare. Vickery's, known for its cocktails and burgers, opened its second Atlanta location in Glenwood Park. Drip coffee shop also has a location here.

There are a handful of retail businesses on the south end of the neighborhood that we frequent and the usual smattering of intown amenities - proximity to downtown, Virginia Highland, Starlight Six Drive-In. You get the point. Since moving here in 2009 we have made so many good friends and really love where we live. There's a community garden, a pool/gym and a dedicated dog park free to residents (as of this writing). A brownfield redevelopment and product of Green Street properties, GWP is home to the 2005 Southern Living Idea House. Many of the homes are distinct in design, presentation and vary in style but all still flow together. Most lots are very small but we managed to eke out a wonderful front flower garden and transform the triangle shaped garden in the back into a treed and flowered sanctuary. We tried our hand at gardening in the community garden but the summer Atlanta sun and invasive weeds had us handily beat by mid July. In October each year, the Hotoberfest beer festival is held in and around the main park (now Brewer Park) drawing a few thousand people to the neighborhood. Less exciting but nearly as big a draw (maybe stretching here) is the annual garage sale. A handful of movies have been filmed here including the Blind Side and Hall Pass as is part of the Real Housewives of Atlanta (one of them lives here as of this writing). Like other neighborhoods that started mid real estate boom but not finished before the bang, there are empty lots, foreclosures and short sales. The last builder to get going has long ago gone out of business and a few independent developers have put up new homes but it remains to be seen if the original vision of Green Street and the first residents will be fulfilled. However, this remains a one-of-a-kind neighborhood south of I-20 and a great alternative to the stunning but prohibitively expensive homes in Morningside, Virginia Highland and the handful of other established intown neighborhoods. Being so close to everything available in Atlanta has spoiled us for going to festivals (Inman Park, Dogwood, Summerfest, Shade), the drive in and so much good food + drink in walking distance (you hear me $2 PBR at ten places I can walk to). The EAV and Grant Park are both short walks and great neighborhoods in and of themselves. The Zoo and Turner field are less than 3 miles away as are dozens of the best restaurants in Atlanta. The beltline trailhead is just across I-20 so you can walk off all the beer and carbs. Definitely kid friendly, we've seen at least six newborns arrive since we moved here. The little ones have a playground, a music class and no shortage of friends to grow up with. We will be adding our own in February 2012 so we're planning on being in Glenwood Park for the foreseeable future.
