What's not to love about Chastain park??!! They literally have something for everyone. We stopped by on a break from our road trip and the kids were so excited to climb in the Tree House and slide down the long slides! The adults around even wanted to get in on the action. The layout of the playground is nicely spaced out and provides nice shaded sitting areas for the parents. If you're not into playgrounds, there are nice trails, swinging benches and beautiful baseball fields which all provide great opportunities to people watch and immerse yourself in all the nature that this beautiful Buckhead park has to offer!!

Wow! So beautiful and so much fun!!! I think they're still adding to it, it seems as though there's some construction going on slightly. However, the park is beautiful and full of fun activities for this kids. They have musical instruments, a slide that's not your typical slide, they also have regular slides available, and some odd avocado looking swings . I loved every second. My niece and nephew also had the time of their lives too.

Don't sleep on this little piece of paradise in Buckhead! Whether you're looking for a spot to go for a run, a trail to walk your dogs, or a shaded spot for a picnic - Chastain has it all. This park is flawless - it's kept incredibly clean and at this time of year it is absolutely beautiful to see all of the changing colors of the leaves! If you walk the entire loop of the park, you'll likely hit right around 3 miles (the perfect walk for us with our dog!) There are plenty of trash cans and doggy stations throughout the park and there are benches, swings, tables etc in various areas. Not to mention, if you are a real estate lover, the homes and estates that border this park are breathtaking! There is a parking lot near the tennis courts and plenty of street parking as well! Grab a friend and go for a stroll!

This spot is a hidden gem in buckhead. Covid friendly outdoor seating and covered patio. Excellent wholesome food and coffee/tea options. Lovely ambiance for spring summer with friends and family. Parking hard to find on weekends, but plenty of spots across the street. Take stroll in the park with your friends or bring your pets. Pet friendly environment. Can get crowded on weekend especially Sundays so come early! Avocado toast is so delicious

I love this park! Great for a stroll, running, dog walking, sports or just chilling out and enjoying the outside. There is a small like creek with swings which is so relaxing. Then lots of trees and shade as your walking around. There's even a golf course as well.

Well architectured and well manicured park! This park is the greatest!!! I love the running trail. It is has mile markers and signage around the entire park, which is good for those who get turned around easily. It is long, clean, and gives you plenty scenary. The neigbborhoods surrounding the park are well manicured and have nice curb appeal. The ballpark is always bumping with an exciting game. This is by-far my fav park in the ATL Metro Area! I cant wait to experience Chastain Park's Golf Course and Range, Amphitheatre, etc.

What a wonderful little park for kids to enjoy. There are lots of things for the little ones to do such as a small climbing wall, a double slide with rollers, jungle gym, a small pavilion with water fountain and restrooms, xylophone, and shady trees to keep you cool from the hot Atlanta sun. This small park is part of a larger area with many things to do for adults such as watching a concert at the amphitheater. This whole area is just wonderful.

**This review is for the playground/ play area** What a beautiful and vast area for children....eh and adults :). What will you find here: -Little Free Library -Beautiful, multicolored piano donated with bench for all to play -Bench Swings galore -Mini wall climb station -Paw patrol tower , or at least that's what I call the cute wooden tower -Drums and other musical instruments - Picnic tables -Mini Pavilion -Long, long, metal bumpy slides (don't know what the name for them) -Actual playground set with slides and monkey bar handles, etc. -Bathrooms right by the pavillion -Lots and lots of space! This was our first time to Chastain Park and DEFINITELY not our last! There are so many parts to Chastain park including sport fields, an amphitheater, etc. One section at a time. My kids had an amazing time at the play area. Having an outdoor piano was so refreshing! There are a couple parking spots that are directly in front of the play area, otherwise there is street parking. We went on an overcast day, my favorite kind of day. It wasn't busy at all, but I can only fear what good weather will bring--lot's and lots of ppl. lol. Enjoy, kids and adults both!

Chastain Park is a beautiful well kept place, it is also the largest park in Atlanta being that it is a whopping 268 acres, Piedmont park is 189 acres so it makes you scratch your head and take notice. You have easy access to just about anything you could possibly want this is a simple list of some of the things offered at this park. 1. Baseball/softball leagues, got it. 2. Tennis courts, yes they are free. 3. If you feel the need to swim but don't have a pool there is one here. 4. Like horses and can afford one good for you there are stables & an equestrian center. 5. Picnic areas are everywhere with large stone grills for your use, take care you put out your flames when your done. 6. Feel like taking a few swings a golf course is available and lessons are offered. 7. If jogging/walking is what you do to get into or keep in shape three trails are here just follow the arrows or make up your thing. Yellow is 1.68 mi., the Blue & Red trails are 3.1 miles each and can kick your (my) out of shape butt. 8. Have you ever seen a concert here if not well ya should, Chastain is a great place to see outdoor concerts don't forget to bring that loaded picnic basket with ya and occasionally an umbrella the music will start again when the rain stops. 9. There is even a conservatory - trying to find out more about this. 10. An arts center, programs for kids of all ages and schools in and around the park are here. Can you really ask for anything more yes, my only complaint is that there is not a place to grab quick drinks or food (occasionally you might find a food truck) with that said there are random water fountains some with doggie bowls spread though out the property. Other than that this is one great park.

I left grateful for the green space but not really feeling much else. For the kids, you have to realize: the Olympics put Atlanta on the map. Prior to the games, it was a mid-to-largish Southern city without much distinction.* After the games, it turned into the crowded af bastion of Southern pop culture. Atlanta's history is divided in pre- and post- games. That's why I thought that a trip here would be akin to Central, Golden Gate or Lincoln. Nope. It had some nice intentional design. Pavers. Statues. Fun water features. The Ferris wheel. The rings (the water fountain wasn't working during my visit). But... I don't know. Like I inferred above, it fell flat. Glad I saw it but I expected more. It's smaller than you imagine. Oh, and all the bathrooms were closed/locked on a Wednesday afternoon in mid-spring. I don't know what that's about. *Taking nothing away from Dr. King.

If traveling from…read moredowntown on I-20 eastbound, Glenwood Park is just off exit 59B (Memorial Drive, Glenwood Avenue). If traveling westboard towards downtown, take exit 60 (US 23, Moreland Avenue). This low key neighborhood, sandwiched between Grant Park and East Atlanta Village, is sort of "hidden." I think if you asked the average metro Atlantan if they've heard of Glenwood Park, they'd probably say no. Glenwood Park opened the same year as Midtown's Atlantic Station. Like Atlantic Station, Glenwood Park is all about urban and sustainable living. Unlike Atlantic Station, Glenwood Park isn't big. It's relatively small at just under 30 acres in total size. It's a lot quieter and isn't as commercialized. The property feels more residential than anything with quiet streets and wide sidewalks with nicely manicured lawns. After about a decade of existence, the development still looks great. There's a park/greenspace with a picturesque pond and a beautiful fountain. The community collects almost two-million gallons of its own well water per year in order to irrigate the park and street trees. There's a community garden where residents can reserve plots filled with high quality, organic soil. There's a dog park, playground, and neighborhood pool. One courtyard features a little stone fountain and full-sized bocce ball court. The layout was designed with pedestrians in mind, though there's plenty of free street parking and parking lots located on the development. It's clean and feels safe. The Atlanta BeltLine runs through the neighborhood in a north-south line. Food-lovers probably know Glenwood Park because of its restaurants, Gunshow, The Shed at Glenwood, and Vickery's Bar & Grill. Local celebrity chef Kevin Gillespie opened Gunshow in 2013 with fellow chefs Andreas Muller and Joey Ward. It may very well be *the* best restaurant in Atlanta. It's certainly one of the most fun and unique with it's American-style dim sum. You can read my review of Gunshow here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/gunshow-atlanta-2?hrid=_Zvxkqv86FBPQtUBysU21Q. The Shed at Glenwood is a modern farm-to-table restaurant with seasonal fare. Vickery's, known for its cocktails and burgers, opened its second Atlanta location in Glenwood Park. Drip coffee shop also has a location here.

I'm not sure how to review a neighborhood but it shouldn't be too hard. This place is great -…read morebungalow style houses, flats, condos, townhomes and great neighbors. There are a handful of retail businesses on the south end of the neighborhood that we frequent and the usual smattering of intown amenities - proximity to downtown, Virginia Highland, Starlight Six Drive-In. You get the point. Since moving here in 2009 we have made so many good friends and really love where we live. There's a community garden, a pool/gym and a dedicated dog park free to residents (as of this writing). A brownfield redevelopment and product of Green Street properties, GWP is home to the 2005 Southern Living Idea House. Many of the homes are distinct in design, presentation and vary in style but all still flow together. Most lots are very small but we managed to eke out a wonderful front flower garden and transform the triangle shaped garden in the back into a treed and flowered sanctuary. We tried our hand at gardening in the community garden but the summer Atlanta sun and invasive weeds had us handily beat by mid July. In October each year, the Hotoberfest beer festival is held in and around the main park (now Brewer Park) drawing a few thousand people to the neighborhood. Less exciting but nearly as big a draw (maybe stretching here) is the annual garage sale. A handful of movies have been filmed here including the Blind Side and Hall Pass as is part of the Real Housewives of Atlanta (one of them lives here as of this writing). Like other neighborhoods that started mid real estate boom but not finished before the bang, there are empty lots, foreclosures and short sales. The last builder to get going has long ago gone out of business and a few independent developers have put up new homes but it remains to be seen if the original vision of Green Street and the first residents will be fulfilled. However, this remains a one-of-a-kind neighborhood south of I-20 and a great alternative to the stunning but prohibitively expensive homes in Morningside, Virginia Highland and the handful of other established intown neighborhoods. Being so close to everything available in Atlanta has spoiled us for going to festivals (Inman Park, Dogwood, Summerfest, Shade), the drive in and so much good food + drink in walking distance (you hear me $2 PBR at ten places I can walk to). The EAV and Grant Park are both short walks and great neighborhoods in and of themselves. The Zoo and Turner field are less than 3 miles away as are dozens of the best restaurants in Atlanta. The beltline trailhead is just across I-20 so you can walk off all the beer and carbs. Definitely kid friendly, we've seen at least six newborns arrive since we moved here. The little ones have a playground, a music class and no shortage of friends to grow up with. We will be adding our own in February 2012 so we're planning on being in Glenwood Park for the foreseeable future.
